4661  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: June 11, 2023, 08:48:56 PM
If there's nothing on the line then it's not gambling.
Sure mate, what make is a gamble is when there is a stake on the line, this is what most people done to understand and they think that just getting involved in games is all gambling and that is not true because there is nogamblingsf nothing to lose, quite alright we can spend our time in playing game like ludo cheese and I'm the rest but we can't gamble with time, we only gamble by staking money so without money there is indeed no gambling.
Without staking your money or properties, it should not be called gambling. For it to be called gambling you should be ganing or losing something. Atleast this is my layman's understanding of gambling as it happens in my country and online across the globe.
There could be a different scenario if some will argue from the higher stand that someone is investing his time in that kind of DSTV super picks game.
Well, if there is something you ought to do with your time and then you left it to play the dstv game, will it be counted that you stakes your time?

4663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 11, 2023, 04:41:16 PM
According to a news source Newcastle are interested in a loan deal for Harry Maguire. But the source looks like The Sun so I don't think this rumour would be reliable at all.  Grin  Actually there was a more serious rumour linking Tottenham with Maguire on Transfermarkt website a few days ago. But the probability of a transfer is decreasing day by day.

Honestly it would be really great for Manchester United if they get rid of him as soon as possible. On loan or permanent deal they wouldn't have to pay his salary or most of it at least. Because he is really no use for Manchester United. He will stay as a rotation player and he won't be a credible player when ten Hag has no choice other than putting him in the lineup.
I feel sorry for Harry Maguire, he is a player who could be included in the England national team squad at the 2022 World Cup, but was so disliked by Man United fans because of his performances that several times put Man United in danger and failed, maybe Man United is not the right place and suitable for his career, maybe he should find another club, but whether Newcastle are interested in him is a truth, because being at a club that is developing, of course, the pressure will be even stronger unless he goes to Newcastle, he will only be a bench player, but of course, it will be even more difficult because rarely playing, it will be difficult for him to be compact with other players at his new club later, but you know the rumors that are circulating are that he is determined to stay, don't know the reason maybe he hopes to correct his mistakes by performing better later at Man United.
Maguire ought have left united but England sentiment wouldn't let that happen. Several chances have been given to harry machiure which he keeps misusing. The only solution is to take him off the team. He can also do well in other England teams. But I think what Maguire is facing now has nothing to do with pressure,  I think the young man went through psychological depression and fear.  Having had the feeling of repeating the same mistake after an awful reaction from fans can cause a mental disorder that can result in Machuire's frequent mistakes.  I wish that could change when he finally leaves for a new club.
4664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 11, 2023, 04:25:04 PM
It was perhaps City's worst game of the season. And also in the CL you can sometimes play a lesser match. I think Inter's battle plan has worked very well, but then you see that a striker like Lukaku is just below the world top, a good striker of course heads that ball in without any problems. And Lukkau also got in the way of a header from his teammate. So I think City were very lucky and Inter maybe should have won based on the number of chances. But City has played beautiful football for so long throughout the season, then you can also be lucky to win a title. Guardiola is most welcome.
If u say it was the city's worse game it therefore means you were seeing Inter Milan as a weaker side in the clash.
Real Madrid was grabbed with fear for Manchester City and that was the cause of their uncoordinated play in that match. City also went through the same and that caused them to play like that. Pep Guardiola was sure of his victory but his boys were a bit panicky Which made them play a hasty style of game. I'm happy they got a win at the end. It's exciting to see them lift their first UCL trophy.
4665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 11, 2023, 12:19:38 PM
Don't worry. It's dortmund's business. This team will be always doing it forever. Winning a trophy was just bonus but generating more and more money from selling developed players are very smart.

Even if they don't have supremacy in the bundesliga, they make simple earnings every season, which is why their predicted budget for a year takes longer to execute. They have no financial difficulties, they don't take out too much, and they also don't give in too much. Dortmund's economic model has evolved over time, with the goal of acquiring promising young players and profiting from them when other great clubs come calling. They're quite good at turning down offers from elite clubs, making three times the money they used in the market; this picture alone justifies everything.

This was the former pattern of Arsenal of old. I don't know how Dortmund have now adopted to that pattern and they are doing very well.
What I did not understand is how they get exact replacement of what they have already stood and if not better replacement of the player every season. Some times they will even get more than one star players in the same season and they will even sell both of them and still perform good and will still have another replacement next season.
Just after Haaland left, we thought it was over, from no where they have developed Jude Bellingham. I envy their strategy of making money.
4666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 11, 2023, 11:56:00 AM
I did it many times back when my addiction is very high, I promise not to gamble after I lose a big amount I even swear that I will not, but the following day I'm back even promising to be better and not lose a big amount again.

How many of us are guilty of this?
I am not guilty of this but I know of people that are guilty of it. I am an inconsistent gambler and one thing about me is whenever I win,I give myself some time before I gamble again by then I would have used the money I won to take care of myself and enjoy.
Also whenever I lose I still stay out of gambling for sometime before I join again.
So I have never being addicted before unless other people may define my way of gambling as addiction but I sure know that I am not addicted unless I pretend to be.

I agree with you that Chelsea's current ugliness is not entirely the coach's fault but includes the players, coaches and management team who must be open to each other what is best for Chelsea's progress in the next season.
Because if Chelsea continues like this it is very dangerous to get closer to the relegation zone.
It's not funny if Chelsea's ugliness can make the club drop further from its ranking.[/left]
Actually, it is difficult to blame one object for Chelsea's problems, but you can be sure that most people, especially the fans, will blame Potter because all of this started during his coaching period when they failed against Southampton at Stamford Bridge. I can't blame Potter entirely, because if we see Todd bringing in too many new players during the Premier League. And on the other hand, Potter also said that he had difficulty managing players to adapt to the team, because he had a lot to do, apart from setting the strategy for each game he also had to take the time to give opportunities to players who had just arrived to adapt first. I hope the management can be more open with Pochettino about the team's interests and progress in the next season.
Right from when Chelsea issues started this ended season, I have never blamed the coaches for being the problem.
Even when everybody was against Graham Potter, I still was confident enough that Porter wasn't the problem of Chelsea.
When one or two coaches have managed the same club for short duration of time and did not get results. And also there are good players in such a team and yet result is not coming just know that the problem is from the management. Use the case of Manchester United for a few seasons ago and understand what actually is happening with Chelsea. When the management removed their hand from the coaching responsibilities club will stabilize
4668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: June 11, 2023, 11:24:31 AM
Messi's move to Inter Miami has left everyone in a tizzy. Messi's pre-planning of his decision is now almost clear. He is focused not only on money but also on career.

Saudi clubs have invited the world's best footballers to introduce themselves to the world. Ronaldo's presence there really brought the league to the top of the discussion. If Al-Hilal club was able to get Messi in their team then maybe the league would have gained better popularity. It was thought Messi would head to Al Hilal after his official departure from PSG, but that didn't happen.

I am not very sure of this because not much he can be done at Inter Miami for his career he can't compete in the Champions League the same thing if he goes to the Saudi League so Messi must have other reasons that we cannot guess. Like what we hear in the media in the end Messi will come to the Saudi League between the next 1-2 years and that's the right time to retire.

I thought his moving to Miami has been finalized, the saudi Arabia team needed him but he choose to play for Miami. Well if his moving to Miami is a rumour we will still get to find out the main destination of where he is going, but if it is Miami it will really help the club to gain popularity just as  how Ronaldo made his Club to be more popular now .
There was a documentary I read about the main reason Messi accepted Miami move. Although all the issues in the article were treated as a speculation and the heavy part of the speculation was that Messi had a deal with David Beckham about franchise and ownership of the club. I didn't get the real gist, either I read it when I was tired or sleepy. So, I am asking now if there is anything like franchise right that is included in Messi's contract with Inter Miami.
The only strong reason Messi gave was settling with his family purpose as he is getting to the age of retirement.
4669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 11, 2023, 11:09:13 AM
Manchester City had bigger struggles than I expected. Inter were just really comfortable about applying their usual strategies especially in the first half. The tight defense and pressure over their opponent was really beneficial in that half. Manchester City couldn't control the game as they hoped to and Inter players forced them to make more mistakes.

But the problem was that Inter couldn't maintain the same game plan in the second half exactly. This was a big opportunity for Manchester City to turn it into their advantage. Later on the space given in the box cost Inter a lot. We must be knowing how effective Rodri can be with his shots and this was one of its examples. Inter wasted huge opportunities and it was game over for them. But I still appreciate their good effort.
I really thought that I was the only one that noticed it. Inter Milan was playing with a lot of ease at the first half.
They were relaxed and unpanicked, unlike the approach that Real Madrid used for Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League which made them saw a very big defeat from Manchester City. Real Madrid of all the people rather approached Manchester City with a lot of panic and fear, whereby they had to play what was not their original plan because of the influence of Manchester City and in the end of the match they lost woefully. But Inter Milan plateyed as if it was a normal game for a normal day, but they were unfortunate that they had to lose.

Harry Kane is playing for Tottenham for years and he is a famous player there, he is loyal to his team but because of the bad results he got in Tottenham, he is better to leave and find a team where he can achieve his goals.
Tottenham Hotspur's main issue is winning trophies; they will be at their best and still fail to win a single prize. Even the club's past managers, Anthonio Conte and Jose Mourinho, failed, so I can't think of any coach that is capable of saving the club because it's apparent that the problem stems from the boards and the players. I don't see any compelling reason why Tottenham Hotspur should have one of the best strikers in the English Premier League and still struggle to win a trophy. Harry Kane is the club's all-time leading scorer, and while he has not made his personal objectives public, I believe it is high time he tries a new chapter somewhere else.

It is interesting to know that Westham United has first Totenham to lift European Cup, this is because Totenham has no focus for any trophy. If they can do what Sevilla use to do it will be better for them. For instance when you see that people in Champions league are too strong, you crash out and go to Europpa and give your best.
When English Premier League is so strong, you focus on Fa Cup with all your energy. With this strategy you will be able to win just one cup for the the club and not to be sacking and employing coaches without vision.

I expected an easy ride for the citizens but my brother warned me that it's not gonna be easy because it is champions league finals
I could not believe, I was still believing that Manchester City will rain Inter goals like upto e goals. But when reality was done on me,I gave Imzaghi an applause for a good team. But I didn't agree to his decision of starting Dzeko ahead Lukaku. I believe it would have been a different finals if Lukaku started.

Champions League finals are always difficult games, it was clear that both teams were not easy and by the middle of the second half the game was even, then it became clear that City were physically better prepared, even though Inter were losing, they were still defending.

There were some very dangerous moments that Inter did not take advantage of, and in general City deservedly won, this is a big victory! Congratulations to Manchester City and Guardiola on their victory!
The Italian side were too physical on the England side. It was yesterday that I confirmed that Italy plays a physical football.
I mean it was practically impossible for Grealish to drive one person let alone two or three, which is what he does in England every weekend.
In the center forward, Haaland could not even breath if not only 1 shot on target. I mean the man was tough for Manchester City and it was also the toughness that sent KDB off from the middle. It was too harsh for him to bear.
4672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: June 11, 2023, 07:39:43 AM
Mbappe can go to the madrid if he wants. It will be far better for mbappe to. leave from PSG and go to the madrid rather than staying even longer in the club that can win the league in the farmer league competition.
I support mbappe if he will be leaving from PSG and join in the real madrid. PSG was only strongest team in the league 1. it doesn't have good competitors there.
Well, why, the current example with Manchester City and winning the Champions League clearly shows that with due diligence and patience, you can win not only the farmers' league. Another question is that you need to find a good and reputable specialist like Pep Guardiola and trust him at least for five years, and not throw the head coach out of retirement after another failure in the Champions League. Let's remember how everyone laughed at City and said that the club would never win the Champions League, and now the Arab sheikhs and Guardiola, on the contrary, are laughing at everyone.
Reacting to the first opinion, I do not think that now is the best time for Mbappe to leave PSG, he should atleast stay for another season and enjoy his lordship as both Neymar and Messi will be leaving the club for him.
Reacting to the second opinion, PSG should look for a way and reform their team by making both defence, midfield and attack to be balanced and then find a good coach and give him some years to bring result.
4673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: June 11, 2023, 07:31:16 AM
We can't judge Sevilla about their place in La Liga because they didn't focus on the league games and they didn't need the La Liga games to earn points at all in the last games because they couldn't reach the top of the table and on the other hand, Sevilla wanted to win the Europa League and they have enough hope for it because of the last wins the had in Europa League.
Many people still can't separate domestic league from European ones. Sevilla and West Ham are not that top in their leagues at all. Sevilla finished twelve and West Ham in the fourteenth position, yet they won Europa League and Conference League vs Italian teams that are classified better than them in the ranking.
Sevilla particularly are a hard number in Europa League, they are like nightmare for the teams facing them there!

Sevilla and West Ham were aiming to do well in the Europa League and Conference League respectively. And only qualifying for their own league. The Sevilla team's performance was very poor in La Liga. The team was also in the relegation zone for a long time. But they performed well in every Europa League match. As their target was the Europa League. They have succeeded in achieving the goal. Although big teams like Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United play in Europe League, they cannot win the title.
Everything is all about strategy and planning . Manchester United under Erik Ten Hag had a better team and inform team than Sevilla. Just because Erik was not specific in the particular title he wanted he easily gave up all. Unlike Sevilla who wanted Europa League they know how to win and they went for it will all their energy and in the end they won it. If Manchester United focused on the Europa league, I am sure Sevilla wouldn't have eliminated them.

for Inter Milan maybe very disappointed with the failure in this UCL but Inter also tried their best to win but couldn't keep up with Man City's performance.

Congratulations Man City this is as I expected. But my wrong prediction was the number of goals. Only one goal, initially I thought there were at least two more goals. In addition, the second time I saw Lukaku become the savior of the opposing team. Inter had good chances but they were unlucky. Indeed, the two teams looked more vigilant. They are not very open during the game. But one key to Pep is patience. Man City seemed very patient, they played more waiting for opportunities. Rodri's goal was also very good, choosing a plesing ball in a tight area. Inter are also good, they managed to make it difficult for the Man City midfielder to make attacks.
Lets be sincere this wasn't what was expected, We saw City begging to secure their lead, I wish Lukaku came in much more earlier the match would have ended in a full time draw extend to extra time and maybe penalty shoot out. Every one expected an easy game for City but this turned out sour, if not for the defensive error it would have ended ina goalless draw but all the same congratulations to Man City and congratulation to Pep for his new record.
I expected an easy ride for the citizens but my brother warned me that it's not gonna be easy because it is champions league finals
I could not believe, I was still believing that Manchester City will rain Inter goals like upto e goals. But when reality was done on me,I gave Imzaghi an applause for a good team. 4675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 10, 2023, 10:47:17 PM
We've talked about this before, it's been a really terrible season for Tottenham. They lost their chance to play in Europe with only 1 point difference. If they hadn't lost so many points in the last weeks, we could say that they would have very different goals right now.
They are not as ambitious and strong as they used to be, they must make new transfers to the team if they want to be successful next year. Otherwise, they will finish the season with such a ranking Smiley

Tottenham do not place a high priority on adding new players; instead, they prefer to rely on its current and upcoming players. I believe it is about time for them to pay more attention to transfer windows and add more players in order to enhance their squad and boost their performance in the league. They're simply a less competitive team in the Premier League currently, and they don't really fight for anything important anymore. They must understand their priorities and work toward them for the benefit of the entire team.
Tottenham Hotspur's major problem I think is from the club's management and just as Antonio Conte publicly criticized them while also mentioning the main issues of the club and the solution to those issues,  I don't think there's anything that can be done to better the fortunes of the club rather than addressing the already mentioned issues from the club management.
4676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 10, 2023, 10:31:12 PM
Manchester City were really having serious issues in the first half. Inter were really good at defending them and they prevented Manchester City from applying their usual game plan here. However this was only until the end of the first half I'm afraid. In the second half Manchester City started to be more effective and finally Inter gave a big space for them to score.

Rodri's goal was really by a clean shot to the corner. Maybe he isn't an attacking midfielder but we have always known him by his supporting the attacks most of the time. He did it again here and thanks to that Manchester City won the title as well.

I understand Inzaghi once again about why he doesn't choose Lukaku in the starting lineup in this kind of critical matches.  Grin  Because I think he is the main reason why Inter couldn't extend the match to extra time. Really, how bad header it was there! Right after that he wasted another chance just unbelievable.
Though Manchester City are the Champions of Europe and that they did after beating Inter Milan but I think without mincing words, one can say that Inter were the better team if the night but weren't lucky enough to convert those chances they got on goal.
Inter for a fact is club that's known for being strong, energetic and resilient while playing football but little did most people ever think they were gonna be a very opponent against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

He had suffered a hamstring injury and missed 6 months of the season in PL, this is a serious problem for Al-Ittihad, even though both parties have an agreement, but Al-Ittihad wants to make sure from the medical test, hopefully nothing happens , so that Kante can play with Benzema at Al-Ittihad.
Kante is a very good Defensive Midfielder, he will bring a lot of balance to Al-Ittihad midfield if he is fully fit. Maybe after this recovery Ngolo kante will not be injured anytime soon again since that the Saudi League is not as physical and demanding as the Premier League was. It will be bad business for the Saudi Arabians if after just bringing him to the club for such an attractive amount of money he goes into injury and is unable to play in many games for the season coming.
Ngolo Kante has fully recovered from the injury that caused him the better part of last season and kept him sidelined from delivering those world class performances he's known for.
He'll surely be a good signing for his new Arabian club because of the fact that he knows how to quickly adapt to new environments and club just as he did when he left Leicester to join Chelsea after helping the latter win the English Premier against all odds.

Borussia Dortmund has released one of its best players this season, Jude Bellingham. Yes once again we see them letting go of their prized players, and that is what we are used to seeing. I don't have a problem with this because Brussia Dortmund also benefit, but I regret it when they keep selling their valuable players continuously. The reason is that we know that it is currently difficult for them to break Bayern Munich's dominance, and when they got the big opportunity to break Bayern Munich's dominance, they failed to do so in the end.

Next season there is no guarantee that the same thing will happen as this season, because Bayern Munich will definitely evaluate how to navigate the coming season.

This is Borussia Dortmund's business style, this club can be said to rely on buying and selling players and so on every season. we can even review, almost every season they produce talented young players. Over the years, Dortmund has always been known as a pretty ideal club. they are able to excel and play attractive football as well as earn income from selling players without disturbing the solidity of the locker room.

Uniquely, the player's departure did not interfere with the team's material, in fact, Dotmund still finished in the top 4 of the Bundesliga regardless of his coach. currently, only Bellingham they released to Madrid. we don't know if other players will follow in Bellingham's footsteps. or, Dortmund will still hold it for the next season. at least, there is still Adeyemi, Youssoufa Maukoko, who has the potential to leave or be retained. in essence, Dormund had gained a huge advantage just letting Bellingham go. plus, their target is still achieved to finish in the top 4 of the Bundesliga. so, don't expect big if Dormund wins the Bundesliga trophy.

basically, if the Bundesliga wants to be like other leagues they have to change the 50+1 rule.
Over the years, we've seen Borussia Dortmund sell their most prized players to not just non German clubs but also to their major rival Bayern Munich and that's been their biggest problem and has also stopped them from winning the German league or doing well I Europe.
I think it's something that's very acceptable to the club's management as it been fetching them real gains. I think Bayern Munich are more taking advantage of the policy because it does make Borussia Dortmund less of a serious contender when compared to them

That's still too fast I think, even though in this case what you say about Neymar's injury is clearly disturbing but still retiring too early now is not something Neymar can do.
I still see he can still be for some clubs in Europe, only if he really wants to be glimpsed quickly so he must cut a little for his salary, then there will indeed be some big clubs that will glance.
It seems that Neymar did say he wanted to retire in a few years. But indeed maybe this will be too soon if this season. In some rumors, I think I've heard that Neymar is interested in moving to Man United. Maybe this will work, but indeed his salary is still quite high, moreover, his current performance has decreased, one of which is due to the prolonged injury he has experienced. So, maybe some clubs will think hard about this. He can still play very well, but not as excellent as in several seasons previously.

Neymar still has a contract with Paris Saint Germaine that's still valid beyond the summer and I think he's not in a haste to leave PSG at the moment. Speculations about his future has been in the media space for sometime now but none of the speculations has been reported to come from him or has any of them come from his club PSG.
Neymar is still full of strength and energy to continue as playing football just that injury has been his major setback. Though it's not sure if he'll stay at PSG beyond the summer but I believe that any deal that'll will persuade him to leave must be a deal that's very fair for his football future

Allegri may leave Juventus after all.
The rumor of today is about an offer for him in Saudi Arabia for 30+ m/€

If the rumor will be confirmed I can't see how he will refuse it.
But it seems that it has not been confirmed if Allegri will move to the Saudi Arabian club.
I have also heard rumors that Allegri will not leave Juventus during the bad situation that Juventus is currently experiencing so it seems that Allegri will remain at Juventus with the aim of building the Juventus club back stronger as before.
Maximiliano Allegri is currently one the best managers of Italian extraction and it is believed that the finest football managers in the world do come from Italy.
Saudi Arabia's quest to make their league one of the best in the world is not a joke and they're currently doing anything do make that dream come through. After getting the services of European known best players, they're also trying to sign managers that'll bring the tactical experience of European football to their league and thereby improving their quality of football. It's still unofficial if Allegri will join the Saudi League but some officials are trying to make it happen.
