4662  Other / Meta / Re: Scams involving altcoins on: May 08, 2013, 10:36:49 AM
The solution is not to throw more moderation at the growing mountain of "Now-I'm-gonna-be-rich-too"-type newbies crying over losing the buck fifty they made mowing the lawn. The solution is to move altcoins altogether from this bitcoin forum to another forum. One could call it specialcointalk.org. You know, like in "special coins for special people"

+1

I suggest creating a marketplace subforum in the alt cyptocurrencies section and moving all trades involving cryptocurrencies there. (Except Ripple, that goes straight to the trashcan).

5 free BTC (now 1 BTC) if you edit your post (must be on first page of the Ripple Giveaway thread) to:

Ripple is a scam!
Ripple is a get rich quick scheme for it's creators, a private for-profit company.
It is NOT open source. It is CENTRALIZED, akin to PayPal rather than Bitcoin.

4665  Economy / Gambling / DATA FEEDS RIGGED - DO NOT PLAY on: May 08, 2013, 10:12:29 AM
you need to be able to get 6 out of 10 picks correct

You need to get at least 6 out of 10 picks correct using your rigged data source. I've observed and tested Satoshi Option long enough, there is shenanigans going on and I'm putting my name behind this accusation. Most likely SO is weighting exchanges on the fly if the new price points doesn't match what the bet engine wants. Yes, I'm influencing the underlying market, but SO has no ability to tell if the orders/trades were "mine" or someone else's.

The fact that I'm making this post over sub 1 BTC losses (which are really just a rounding error for the volume I trade on) should show you that this is a serious accusation, instead of sour grapes.

RIGGED - source code or GTFO. If you would "lose money" by making it more transparent, then it's your own problem.

(Also, love my first reply space).
4666  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: new idea for the avrage amarican. for the not so techy. or about 90% of USA on: May 08, 2013, 09:50:13 AM
Please don't give up when nobody donates. It's because from experience, most of these projects do not turn out well, and the owner disappears. I'm not saying you will disappear - but it would be an unwise decision to donate when there are plenty of worthwhile causes.

Work on the site, charge a slight markup, profit Smiley

Because it's annoying?

Claim your free ripples in the "Ripple Giveaway" thread instead of selling it. Skip the middleman.

4671  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPO] TURTLE MINING on: May 08, 2013, 08:32:34 AM
You don't need to tell people to piss off. The forum is a public place, and if your company is a bad idea, then people have the right to post messages that says your company is a bad idea.
I was not. He asked me if I was bipolar. Really?! I have seen both of you being active in the forums and respect your thoughts. I didn't tell anyone to piss off. Thanks for the input.
Sorry, I didn't read him calling you bipolar, I thought you were calling him bipolar. I redact my previous post.

4673  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPO] TURTLE MINING on: May 08, 2013, 07:40:31 AM
I tend to disagree. Some dividends will be reinvested to increase the hashrate. Not everyone in the forums has the time, know how, etc. to run a mining rig. I thought I would throw this out there. People can decide what they want to do with their Bitcoin. Not everyone can afford Avalons or wait for BFL to deliver. Those mining with GPU's still, need 100's to 1,000's of dollars to get a rig running. This is set up so a minimal investment may see gains in the future.

The USBs are not worth it, seriously. They're just a novelty.

Also, I own a small amount of ASICMINER shares as well as a few select other shares in the Bitcoin realm.

And? That matters because?

4675  Economy / Services / Re: TESTERS NEEDED (BTC-escrow Bank) on: May 08, 2013, 05:55:31 AM
an anti-laundering procedure in place. We also need a stable, safe and secure banking system, which we have met, now its just testing it and getting the last few bugs out of there.

This is still weeks away from implementing at the moment, and will not be used until at-least the pre-release
Who is your AML compliance person?

Do you ask any depositors for the following details? http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?c=ecfr&sid=231e4e1efad92f784ae80b944bcc7498&rgn=div8&view=text&node=31:3.1.6.1.7.2.5.3&idno=31

This will end the way of BitKeys's banking venture / dank.

Very incredible, you certainly have put a lot of thought/effort into this.

Will be sure to connect and take a look myself at some point.

Pythonideus did not make any of this.

Great News People

SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) have confirmed they'll let me use there platform to send and receive payments!

That to me is a major milestone, as the banks are now clamping down as such on bitcoin transactions, now with SWIFT on side that means its no different from sending money to someone else in another country, its just the same! and its harder for banks to stop us from paying you!

I'll keep people updated on the website construction, as we have just implemented the LiteCoin and BitCoin system into our Banking System!
You Can also convert Bitcoins to LiteCoins and Vise Versa. Thsi feature should be rolled out in the next month! about a week or two before our banking we hope!
Wonder if you told them that you are running a bank, or will get a nice fraud suit.

4679  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 0.122 BTC loan. 50 % interest. 2 weeks. on: May 08, 2013, 04:13:25 AM
Upon contacting the borrower about tomorrow's repayment he has told me he is unable too..

Waiting to hear back on his plan's, but at today's value this is less than a $20 loan.

Odd situation you can not even pay that back, apparently borrower will be investing into some other project first.

bye bye money Smiley
Yeah..
