4661  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-04] Supreme Court terms Crypto Ban by Central bank unconstitutional on: March 08, 2020, 02:14:31 PM
This is the second time that the supreme court is quashing regressive measures by the government. Earlier, the government tried to make national ID card mandatory for the purchase of mobile SIM cards. The court ruled that it was unconstitutional, as it infringes the privacy of the individual. That said, it needs to be seen whether the cryptocurrency users will continue to face harassment from the authorities, or the situation will become better.
4662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Corona is spreading in many countries!! Bitcoin is a solution for transactions on: March 08, 2020, 02:04:35 PM
Physical cash is one of the main routes for Coronavirus transmission. The banknotes and coins are being used by dozens of individuals every week and the virus remains in them and contaminates who ever touches them. There were reports from China about the government burning banknotes, in a bid to contain the spread of the virus. I even read about reports where the government was planning to ban physical cash altogether, so that the virus spread could be slowed down.
4663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters and Investors, Who values Cryptocurrencies More? on: March 08, 2020, 01:42:46 PM
Lol the answer is clear, we all know that bounty hunters only want to dump and make quit bucks and investors want to make profits too but they can hold longer than bounty hunters, to say the truth they both want the same thing,

Bounty hunters put a lot of effort and time in popularizing these ICOs and in most of the cases, they get very low rewards or no rewards at all. And even after all this, users like you would love to blame them using the "dumping" excuse. Let me ask you one thing. In most of the ICOs, the bounty pool is anywhere between 0.5% to 2% of the total pool. Is it possible to crash the price of a token by dumping just 0.5% of the circulating supply? It is the promoters who do the dumping in the majority of the instances, but the blame always fall on the bounty hunters.
4664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Assess your gambling addiction level. on: March 08, 2020, 01:36:00 PM
Some of my friends became addicted to gambling in the past. A few of them recovered from that, and for the remainder the final outcome of their addiction was quite tragic. From what I have seen, I would say that most of the time if a person feels lonely, then there is a high risk that he will get addicted to something. So the best thing to do in such circumstances is to engage yourselves with something productive.
4665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: March 08, 2020, 01:29:30 PM
Ethereum can never come first. Where will you place bitcoin should ethereum comes first. This is not even possible. Remember that ethereum bullish with bitcoin. So it virtually wrong to say ethereum would come first.

Ethereum is technologically much more advanced when compared to Bitcoin. But as we have seen during the past 4-5 years, that factor alone is not enough to make Ethereum the no.1 cryptocurrency in terms of user-base and market capitalization. Also, one of the major applications of ETH was in the ICO market. But that sector is not in good health right now.
4666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: March 08, 2020, 01:23:16 PM
I never heard that  Corona Viurs is a issue in these matches. There are no cases of corona in that country where PSL is being held and if there was any concern, the international and local players would have already left the tournament. Do you have any official wording of this or any source ?

This is very surprising, because till now there have been just 6 cases of COVID 19 in Pakistan. But then, the crowd attendance may take a hit because of the panic that was created. Even here in India, a lot of people are avoiding commercial establishments, such as movie theaters, sports events, shopping malls and even parks. Some of the schools have declared holidays for the students.
4667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Bitcoin and Altcoins bullish together on: March 08, 2020, 01:16:47 PM
Currently, the altcoins are surviving because of Bitcoin only. They are not being used widely in spheres where Bitcoin can't be used. Their exchange rates also show a high level of interlink with that of Bitcoin. And I don't think that the situation will remain viable for long. Bitcoin will start consolidating market cap at the expense of alts, if this situation prevails.
4668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 08, 2020, 12:59:54 PM
Another whitewash, South Africans are back. They won by 6 wickets with 27 balls still left. Australian bowlers were struggling to get wicket and stop the run chase. The target was not at all big for the South Africans to chase. Overall a good match

It was quite unexpected. I was expecting a whitewash, but in favor of Australia. But what happened was the opposite of it. Anyway, it was good to see the South Africans beating a big 3 team after a long time. BTW, I don't know what happened to the Australian bowlers such as Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins. They are the world's best, but they could not perform up to the expectations.
4669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a Days there is no charm to work in Bounties? on: March 08, 2020, 12:51:08 PM
Is now a Days there is no charm to work in Bounties?
Because many Bounties do not Pay rewards to Bounty Hunters. Bounty Hunters work hard but did not get any Reward. What will be the Solution of This Problem.

I have said this many times. It is up to the bounty hunters to make a serious introspection. The bounty managers and ICO promoters are adding more and more one sided rules in the terms and conditions. The current bounty setup is very exploitative and it is biased against the bounty hunters. The best thing to do is to boycott all the campaigns that have such exploitative terms.
4670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 08, 2020, 12:43:31 PM
It will be having an impact where physical casinos are permitted, such as Macau and Monaco. But here in India, gambling is prohibited and most of us resort to online casinos that are based in foreign nations. And here at least, COVID 19 is likely to have a negative impact. The ongoing economic slow down can have a negative impact on the revenues of online casinos as well.
4671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To All Bounty hunters on: March 08, 2020, 12:34:30 PM
It depends on the market situation to be honest. No matter how huge the potential of the coin, if the market situation will not go along with that potential, that coin would more likely die due to the influence of the market. But this year, there are hopes for a recovery and I am hoping that things would be back to its feet.

It can be the reverse case as well. Back in 2018-19, the prices went down by a lot and one of the reasons was the proliferance of the scam ICOs. Even the established coins took a hit from the prevailing negative sentiments in the market, which were in turn triggered by these scam projects. And even now, there is no scarcity of scams and the market continues to suffer as a result.
4672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 08, 2020, 12:28:07 PM
The Indian women's team performed well beyond everyone's expectations. India may be among one of the super-powers in the men's cricket. But women's cricket in India lack even a single professional league inside the country. In Australia they have the WBBL, which is regarded as the top competition among the women. In England also, they have a similar league. I don't know why the BCCI is not starting a WIPL, despite having tons of cash in their accounts.
4673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 07, 2020, 04:22:12 AM
The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020 is coming to an end. The final will be played between India and Australia tomorrow (12:30 pm IST). Ellyse Perry's absence due to a hamstring injury is going to severely cripple Australia, as she has been their best player for almost a decade now. Without Perry, it will be difficult for the Australian bowlers to contain Shafali Verma, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana.
4674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 07, 2020, 04:15:51 AM
For Zimbabwe, 3 of their professional players were included in the playing XI (Brendan Taylor, Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza), and still they lost the match by a big margin. The mix of these professionals with amateurs is not turning out well for Zimbabwe. They need to convince more of their professionals, such as Kyle Jarvis, Craig Ervine and Ryan Burl to play for the national team.

Anyway, i am fan of AB de Villiers but i have mixed feeling on his comeback, considering the fact that he left his team when they needed him most.

We have discussed that incident many times here in the past and there is no need to resume the debate again. All of us know the real reason that triggered his retirement from international cricket. That said, if de Villiers comes out of his retirement then it is going to give a big boost for South Africa. He performed really well in franchise T20 cricket in the recent months, playing for Brisbane Heat and Tshwane Spartans.
4676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worthy Airdrops on: March 05, 2020, 03:21:46 PM
Unfortunately the vast majority of the airdrops nowadays are not genuine and many of them collect the information from users (ERC-20 wallet address, email IDs.etc) and then sell this data to the third parties. And a few of them even redirect the users to various phishing websites and a number of users have lost their valuable funds to these scams.
4677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To All Bounty hunters on: March 05, 2020, 03:15:33 PM
It's not always like, that most times these so-called bounty tokens loses value or sieze to exist, I prefer selling most of the tokens and keeping very little that I can let go of anything goes wrong, this is the best plan ever

I am someone who did bounties for more than two years and I would agree with your post. Whenever I received rewards from these campaigns, I sold the majority and converted them to either BTC or ETH. I kept only a small part of the reward (20%-30%) as tokens. In all the cases, the tokens lost their value in the long term and many of them became worthless.

^^^^ Let's not debate whether Kohli or Smith is the better batsmen. That said, there can be no denying that Kohli is going through a rough patch right now, irrespective of the format (I am not ignoring his 254 against South Africa and 136 against Bangladesh, but they came against weak opposition in flat tracks). On the other hand, Smith has scored runs against quality opposition in conditions more favorable for the bowlers.

Anti-climax at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. The semi-final between England and India got washed away and India qualified for the finals thanks to their stellar performance in the group stage. The final of the 2019 CWC came to my mind. England won the finals, after the score got tied back then. But they were unlucky this time around.

BTW, Australia won the other semi-final, which was also affected by rain. So the final match will be played between Australia and India.
4680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 05, 2020, 02:45:14 PM
SA in the end won it comfortably by wickets . Malan 129 not out helped SA to ensure that he stayed till the last run is scored and help them to win the series of 3 match by 2-0. Final match is on Saturday and SA would want to make it a whitewash . Ngidi 6 wicket haul for 58 also ensured that OZ do not pose a big score on the board .

The Australian total was not bad. They made 271 in 50 overs. The surface at Mangaung Oval was favoring batsmen and bowlers equally, and in such circumstances it was not a bad total. It was the weak bowling which cost Australia the match. None of their bowlers, including Starc and Cummins could trouble the South African batsmen after the initial success.
