We may have a chance to get involved with LEASERIG if we speak up here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=433319

Get in!

did you read his opening post, he said 0.0001BTC fee is too much for him. So you want him to pay more with using 1 NXT?
4682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 26, 2014, 07:23:38 PM
the way I see it is.

We have a bunch of NXT accounts designated for each voting idea. Each person can send NXT to those accounts to determine which idea get's pushed to the front. Then at the end of the voting period the NXT that was sent to the accounts will be pooled and a majority of the NXT(small portion going to dev costs maybe?) then is distributed among all the NXT accounts that helped in the voting process created prior to the announcement of the voting period (to prevent people from creating accounts just for voting).

So if 150M NXT gets donated and maybe like 100M NXT is to be distributed by 10,000 individual accounts that submitted a vote. Each account that took place in the voting process will receive around 10K NXT each, sort of like a "Thank You for Voting".

Whales will have to pay to play the voting game if they want something implemented while the people that can't afford much NXT in the beginning get paid at the end to help distribute NXT more.

idk, just an idea I was thinking of. Not sure how logical it is  Tongue

That is an astonishingly retarded idea Cheesy hahaha

Actually, if we make voting "costly" then the whales will gain wealth even fast!
Please explain how, exactly?

Because we are in a POS system, and if voting cost more than the minimum fee amount, than a majority of the money spend for voting will go directly to the big account holders.

Do you guys think it is ok that Bter does NOT forge?

http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=10715382765594435905

Maybe just because it CAN'T forge, None of the Nxts stayed longer enough to forge.

after the account is activated for forging every NXT in that wallet is eligable for forging, no need to be in the account for 24 hours.

Source: I transfered 1 NXT to a fresh account and after 1440 blocks i sent 50000 NXT there and was able to forge with all instantly.

@ the bruteforce password issue.

Is it possible to make a client side wallet.dat type file, that uses a password that is secured with BIP38 similar to BTC cold wallets? It takes about half a second to try a password, so the bruteforcing would be nearly impossible. The wallet.dat file can contain a random password with the highest bytes of entropy possible, that way we could also keep more Addresses in one single "wallet".

Possible or am i dellusional?

I don't think vanity generators are secure.

Since the number generation algorithms aren't truly random there will probably be a few addresses that are generated by two individuals with similar environmental variables. A hacker with a powerful computer could generate 1000 shortened addresses and try opening each one until he hits an active account.

have you used it? You can use your own passphrase prefix
