How is it wired?  You are probably not using the other 12 volt rail.

I had this problem, at first I had the 6 pin connector plugged into one card and then I bought this wire convertor that changed two 4 pin plugs into a 6 pin, it over heated quick and shut down every time.  Furthermore if you have two 6 pin connectors on the same wire(as in jumped together) and are using them this is your problem and use my fix as they are on the same rail, see below.

The problem was there are two 12 volt rails and I was only using one rail. I had to cut the ends of the eight(Two for pin) 12 volt plug and wire into the terminals for one card, and plug the 6 pin connector into the other card.  Basically 1 rail to CPU and stuff, 1 to GPU and stuff.
4682  Economy / Speculation / Re: All these people claiming 1 BTC = 1 million+ on: April 01, 2014, 08:19:27 PM
The large problem with this thread is odds are with in 20 years 1 million USD will only buy 1 can of pop can then fail into the abyss of currencies backed by trust of the gov or individual people.

It is not possible for BTC not to be worth 1 million USD... USD has lost value for the past 100 years and will continue to lose value... it seems now though it's about to start to looking for it's actual value.  Do you know how much paper is worth?

4684  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: April 01, 2014, 06:09:00 PM
Assuming paraphrase ment nothing... typing in a bunch of garbage and copying that bunch of garbabe to the next line...  Luckly I only had 1 LTC on that wallet.

Anyone feel like trying to hack it? I am tempted to just put it online and say go for it, I'll never crack it.. if it even can be.

4689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Island on: April 01, 2014, 02:56:37 PM
Great idea! Go find a piece of land over -200 ft sea level that is not owned by a government and get back to us.

Hint: no land exists that is not controlled by a government (not even land underwater other than several miles deep hundreds of miles away from land)

However...there are some projects in the works.

For a small piece of land where bitcoin is accepted, as has been mentioned before there is:
http://galtsgulchchile.com

For a project to dock a ship in international waters outside of prosperous cities (accepting bitcoin donations):
http://blueseed.co/

For a project to create a floating platform under no government rule (eventually):
http://www.seasteading.org/floating-city-project/

Finally, when it comes to coordination...I hope to set up a Pool for those interested in such a venture when I open the BitPools site (a few weeks). Doing so does not put money into one person's hands while trying to figure out what everyone wants.

I like this floating city idea the best..

Furthermore.. I am an Electrical Technologist, I could Design, purchase and install an electrical system on an Island.. I have real life skillz.

BITMAIN!  You are awesome!.

We need more than one island.
That way it is not such an easy target.

4694  Other / Off-topic / Re: a world witout money not even bitcoin on: March 31, 2014, 07:09:27 PM
You're not alone my friend but there's nothing we could do about it at all.
Money=god of this era sadly.

This is the truth right here.  MONEY IS GOD.. Paper.. controlled by a select few has become our god.

Money.. or at least the idea is needed though as trading for everything just won't work.  The problem is our monetary system is controlled by a cartel.
4695  Economy / Economics / Re: How the fed funnels purchasing power from you to the government on: March 31, 2014, 07:07:52 PM
do you guys really think that the irs will really be able to tax all of the bitcoin profits. i just dont feel it is right. the government sucks

The gov is out there to protect the banksters and keep you indebted to the banksters.  We are bankster slaves.. life sucks, almost no one cares and you'll go insane trying to fix it.  At least I'm not chained like back in the day I guess.
4696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet.dat missing? on: March 31, 2014, 07:05:24 PM
Bitcoins are gone for good?

... You really should back up your wallet ASAP and 100% should before sending BTC to it..

If a recovery tool can't find the file, you didn't back it up and you didn't write down your private/public keys.. things are very bad.
4697  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Cosmopolis] Prepare for Bitcoin $266 Retest on: March 31, 2014, 05:04:56 PM
Cosmo.. I am going to start following your posts :O! :O!

What do you think will happen if we go below $260?  I am debating setting a buy at $280/300

You better pray we don't go to $260.

If we end up below $300, a lot of big farms will continue to unload their existing profits just to keep
operating, or close their operations.   This would cause a drop to below $100 or lower. The losses (electric bill) will be to big to handle.  This will create fundamental changes, probably irreversible changes.
Think 2011 drop 25->2.5 and ebay ads for 50-100 GPUs for sale.

The difficulty suppose to adjust accordingly, but all this takes time and this would be a "real test"
for the bitcoin experiment.  Basically, the (Chinese) traders and the market would kill bitcoin by setting the price below the operating costs and keeping it there for long enough to kill the network.

No mining = no transactions = game over.  not only for bitcoin, game over for all cryptos.

So be careful what you wish for.  You better hope $400 is the bottom.

I do not want to see BTC drop below $400 lol!!
4698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did you buy bitcoin today? on: March 31, 2014, 05:02:23 PM
I hate the idea of debt as money.
Friend informed me of bitcoin at $70 and pleaded with me to buy.. I considered, tried, got over whelmed.. hear about it again when it was $550..  I bought lol and became obsessed ... ya.. Go bitcoin! lol.

I read this wrong..
4699  Economy / Speculation / Re: I was predicting it right, bitcoin is on the its way to STABILIZE on: March 31, 2014, 04:46:40 PM
If 21 million people all want BTC and all of those people earn an average 1st world wage... I do wonder how btc will ever die.
4700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is A joke and will never last. on: March 31, 2014, 04:44:34 PM
Everytime one of these threads bugs me I google "Hitler sells all of his bitcoins" and have a good laugh.  I'm sure this guy will be going on about how bitcoin will die 10 years from now when it's become popular.
