And you want to buy their Bitcoin ETF!.... Think again! #NYKNYB

Dude...nobody here will ever buy a spot ETF but millions of investors would love using it without having to worry about self custody or figuring out how to use an exchange. That's the whole meaning of it about spot ETF's.

Don't forget there are a lot of investors that cannot buy Bitcoin because of restrictive investment mandates, for example, which instead could buy an ETF. This is unlocking a significant investment mass to Bitcoin.

I think India 🇮🇳 would be in that club.

Bitcoin miners need BTC price over $98K by the halving — Analysis

Source.
Miners group are preparing for the halving. BTC

That's a poor choice of words... click bait?  Do we take such a proclamation seriously?

"need" bitcoin price over $98k by halvening..

If we can even take that kind of a representation as true, then it sounds like some folks might still be overly-leveraged.. maybe they will get lucky with their structuring of their "needs"?

yet, it seems to me that no one should be running a business (whether bitcoin related or not) and ONLY preparing their lil selfies for one price direction, that may or may not happen..

and $98k by halvening seems like a minority scenario.. perhaps 30%-ish odds for that kind of an outcome, at best....

What does it mean?

buddy loves 28,29 game

That's what she said.

#Bitcoin Ascending Triangle is about to breakout!🔥👇

Go... Go... Go... BTCbreakout!🔥

How could anyone know that?  including, but not limited to, uie-pooie?

Miners need 60k not 98k and they won’t need 60k till about 1 month past the ½ ing.

I could make do with 45k at the ½ and a lot of miners can do the same.

4687  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Most important aspect in Bitcoin mining on: August 05, 2023, 01:41:17 AM
The Bitcoin price !
They are all speaking about electricity costs and prices of hardware but never about the bitcoin price wich is the most important aspect.
With derivatives like options and futures you can make the bitcoin price stable or do your risk management and make a construction at your  bitcoin price break even point.
Last year when the price was less then 20k most of the miningfarms went bankruptcy, they did nothing at all to cover the bitcoin price.
Even small export companies are hedging their valuta risks. How strange is it that big miningsfarms dont do anything about hedging bitcoin prices !!

bitcoin price comes in and out like the tide.

but if you have 3 cent power for the next 5 years in a contract you will make money.

4689  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I have cheap electric, wondering if mining is now something that I can do profit on: August 03, 2023, 10:20:54 PM
So I can now get my electricity for $0.05 per KWh. This is a new opportunity that has landed in front of me and I have the capital to invest a decent chunk into this. I was wondering if it is currently profitable to be doing it from scratch whilst paying the price listed above.

I've done a lot of research throughout reddit and toyed with some of the calculators but thought I'd post with my actual situation to see what other people thought.

Thanks for the time and hopefully I haven't broken any rules posting this!
This is a good electricity price for ASIC mining. I don't know if you have premises to install asics and what expenses you will need to start. I would immediately buy a container for asics, because this will allow you to quickly start mining and the container can always be transported to another place. Otherwise, you will have to spend a lot of money on repairs elsewhere.

In the USA there are some nice containers for 20k they can do 150 s19s

But they need a lot of kwatts to do that. around 500kwatts of power.

While the op mentions 5 cent power he did not say if he has
10kwatts an hour
100kwatts an hour
1000kwatts an hour.

It will help to know what he has available to him.
I also saw small containers for 100 ASICs on sale. If he has 300-500 kwatts an hour, then he can quickly start a business. And the remaining places can be rented out to close friends, because the investment will pay off in less than a year. If there are 20 kwatts an hour, then this is not enough for ASICs, and for video cards, the payback period is 3-4 times higher.

20 kwatts does about 7 s19 pros if you down clock them to 2500 watts.

they will do 93th x 7 = 650 th about 45-46 dollars a day

they burn around 420 kwatts a day or 21 dollars at 5 cents so 45-21 = 24 dollars a day profit. in 300 days about 7200 usd profit.

if he can find them at 1200 each it is kind of worth it.
4690  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: keep a small mining farm cool with only air conditioners. on: August 03, 2023, 04:05:15 PM
Completely sealed is close minded.

My datacenter (not  mining) consumed about 11Mw give or take 24/7/365.

Developed an outside air system that blended cooler outside air into the filtered intakes of the AC units and opened dampers for escape. If it was a bit humid outside the AC would take care of it. Considerable savings especially in the winter months.

Side note: People mentioning mixing cold air into the hotside before the AC is just plain dumb, don't do that.

an 11 mega watt data center is quite different to a 175kwatt sealed room setup.

At Mikeywith how did this room end up doing for you.

My 150kwatt under vented partially ac'd room has been holding up for  the summer. We have had to power off some gear (20kwatts) from 1pm to 8pm but we are doing pretty good for the last 6 weeks.

Maybe 90% of top hashrate. I am looking forward to Sept and Oct we will be able to boost the hashrate on the gear to around 105%

Thank you for this service.

Shoot me a PM if you want in order to let me know what your  monthly costs are to run this.

I know what I have been giving you and I could give more if this is costing you a lot more than the donations you have received.

Keep up the good work. I used your service today on a few threads.

My body is ready for up only season.

@rektcapital
Only 8 months left until the #BTC  Halving

After that, $BTC will most likely enjoy parabolic Post-Halving upside

In the meantime, there is scope for at least one or two deeper BTC corrections

We're slowly running out of Pre-Halving retracement opportunities
https://twitter.com/rektcapital/status/1687037871822147584

This is going the most monitored halving ever. A lot of money is expecting a bull run until 6 months after halving. I am not sure how can we have severe retracements, even if as usual mixed feelings here: opportunity to stack more sats, bitcoin just being bitcoin vs the joy of seeing hyperbitcoinisation a little bit closer.

Throw away this uncertainty. I am confident about the next bull run that it will happens at some points in the next year. So just stacking up my bags with more coin before it shoots up from my hands. Some skeptic were waiting for 12k which never come and now they are waiting for 20k which won't see the light as well. Not wasting time thinking about them while its not too late to join the party.

Smart man.

my weds DCA hit yesterday day
And I grabbed a bit when we got under 28.9k

burn a braiins+ sd card and see if you can run it on a 2600 watt clock.

I did that and my unit is now working.

had a dead s19 pro that was doing 110th at 3200 watts. or 29 watts a th

Loaded braiins+ auto tuning as I type.

At the moment 104.6 th and 2640 watts which is 25.88 watts. I will post tune numbers soon.

18 minutes into the tune

106.9 and 24.73 watts

It will get better. Well hoping for it to get better.

I will not publish links to sites and social networks due to possible fraud, but at the end of the video there is this information.
I do not advise anyone to place orders and wait for real reviews of famous miners, if these ASICs really exist.

I will email and ask for a demo model.

......The Maker of the universe machine is great enough that He fits our definition of "God Almighty."

Cool

All you did is shift the question "from who made the universe?" to "who made your imaginary sky fairy god?"
And you cant tell me who/what created your "almighty" god.
(well you probably will, but it will be all your typical supernatural godswill mumbo jumbo, complete with silly holy babble quotes)
It must be turtles all the way down.

<snipped gobbledygook>

Cool

Ah!... ok. I see now Bud. Hey quick question....are all these here brilliant gems of logic of yours peer reviewed, or do yo just pull then outta your ass for the entertainment of the bitcointalk community intelligencia?

.....
God kinda likes you. I mean, even God enjoys a little bit of entertainment now and again.

Cool

He likes me?? Oh hot damn! No wonder he hasn't smited me yet!

Ahh you never know maybe BADecker got a hold of some good dope and saw something special.
I go the route of its all above my pay grade so I figure I will find out later on when I die.
