Well the numbers are not quite the same... Did a 9 card rig of Sapphire pulse 5600 XT and another one of 10 card rig. Total 19 GPUs Rx 5600 XT. I can say you will get about ~100 W / card from the wall. BBT didn't took into consideration the PSU which will add another 10% in Power.
Anyway, if I look now at the wall for the 10 card rig it's 1061 W. So 1061 W - 50 W (CPU) it's around 100 W / card doing 43,5 Mh/s (modded). Without mod it's around 39 Mh/s but still the same 100 W from wall. But also 100 W for 43,5 Mh/s it's a good number.

This card have a good efficiency in my opinion, you get 43,5 100w, not bad
I know there are some difference in these models, mayba Sapphire consume a little more, but you have an efficient rig
Is it difficult to handle with this rig of 9 5600s?

I grabbed this today.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083TRG3F6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?

At 315.99 a bit pricey but I had a $95 usd discount.  so only 220.99. tax is a net 2%. as it is 7 and the card gives 5 off

so 220.99 + 4.42 = 225.41. comes in 2 days.

these red dragon card models are decent. they even have dual bios switch. which is very nice to have.

I heard good things about this model of power color, probably the best efficient card
You can post here how you'll get with this one
4702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: October 26, 2020, 07:34:09 PM
Yeah funny choice for me.  Do I buy another card. even the 5500xt is decent as they are cheap and don't use power.

I have 95 usd to spend on amazon.

I'm looking for a 5600xt, I saw BBT video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MghxzsrDFJ4&t=80s
Doing  38.7mh @ 75w or 43.3mh @ 85w

It's awesome, maybe you can grab one, I don't know about availability, but I think it's easy to get one
4703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gigabyte RTX 3080 Eagle Hashrate drop on: October 26, 2020, 03:17:28 PM

Change the thermal pad for a good ones and the problem is solved. I had that problem too... You can see how it changes. The disipator is good the thermal pad no... I hope you can see the image

https://ibb.co/92fH9ty

So the history repeats again, my Gigabyte memory is hot as hell  Cheesy
But I managed to fix with fans at 60%

The worst part is you can't open the card and stay under warranty

In your case, the thermal pads are this bad or they didn't touch the heat pipe?
4704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gigabyte RTX 3080 Eagle Hashrate drop on: October 25, 2020, 03:46:05 PM
I have never disassembled a GPU, lil afraid to do so. I have been seeing some videos on youtube.

Does GPU also have a thermal paste similar to CPU, If I decide to; can I change the paste and see if it helps?

I had this card in an 8 GPU set up the usual way we set up rigs on a mining frame, spacing between cards is enough though to avoid hot air from the adjacent GPUs to directly blow on this.

Shall I get a GPU cooler fan something like this might help https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XCFB5WP/

Weather wise it is getting cold here in Arabia so I will not run into heating issues until March with this type of table fan set up, but after that.....

Do not disassembly your card because you'll lose warranty
Wait a little more because more people can help you to find a solution here, it's not normal to need a table fan to keep your card running 100%, and you already reduced the TDP, so the card is not running at full power or above specifications, Nvidia are good to lock the bios so it's hard to mess with the card
4705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gigabyte RTX 3080 Eagle Hashrate drop on: October 25, 2020, 03:08:35 PM

In MSI afterburner, I have set the fan at 100% manually to test it but same results. The hashrate drops to 70-85 MH/s fluctuating frequently.

I removed the card from rig frame set it aside and I have just put a table fan at high speed near the card and have cold/fresh air blowing on it. Looks stable for an hour+ now. But I guess this is not the solution. ~97 MH/s now.

I purchased it from a local online retailer, and they do not have any more stock to replace the card it seems.

It's weird, if the card is hashing normally now you can conclude that is a temperature problem
If you already tested with fans at 100%, another thing that could be are the thermal pads, can you check if thermals are in touch with heat pipe?

Or maybe the position of the card in your rig, is there hot air blowing direct to this card?
4706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gigabyte RTX 3080 Eagle Hashrate drop on: October 25, 2020, 02:06:36 PM

I have not tried other algos yet as I recall KawPow will use more power and definitely cause the temps to rise even more

I guess Alexgtr is right, temps in MSI afterburner shows 50 to 52 degrees Celsius but internal temps seems to be off.

Yes, KawPow uses a little more power
I have a card here that is very hot at the memories, it's always on 92 to 96 degrees but the GPU is 55c

But this is easy to find, I suppose you are using MSI afterburner, or another app, just put the fans on manual, and set something like 60 or 70% and see if the card stop to trottling, you can even put 90% just to test
Maybe the fan curve is not enough to keep the card running 100%, and above certain temp the card will reduce power to reduce temp
4707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gigabyte RTX 3080 Eagle Hashrate drop on: October 25, 2020, 11:20:35 AM
It's only with Phoenix miner?
What about claymore?

There's the problem of popcaps, but if you have newest drivers, and also with reduced TDP, its hard to blame popcaps
Looks like a app problem, I think all miners are not yet optmized to run new nvidia cards, but try claymore for some time and tell us if this problem persists

Your hardware is good, PSU, all system updates...

Finance (Airdrop?) on: October 24, 2020, 07:08:13 PM

Do you have data on this leak? After all, it can be a good advertising move from AMD.
If new AMD video cards have a high hash rate and the same energy consumption, then there will be very few of these video cards in stores.

For example, I buy 2 pieces of 5600 xt:
80 mh  $ 680 and 170 watts of consumption.
Will the new cards be better?

There's a lot of sites talking about this leak
You can check here: https://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-rx-6800-xt-big-navi-gpu-3dmark-benchmarks-leaked/

AMD cards usually are better to mine ETH and will probably be more efficient than 3080 doing 100mhs with 250w
4712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: October 24, 2020, 01:47:19 PM
Same here, while wait to new cards, my 5700 and even my 1660 super are doing very good profits

I'm still looking for a 3080, but it looks like we'll have AMD cards to buy before any nvidia
For us living outside US is even harder to get cards on launch, the first ones came by air and costs more

With all this situation about coronavirus and lack of supply, mining giving some profits again, people are in homes and building PCs, it's almost impossible to get one and at a decent price, better use our hardware we already have  Cheesy

If big navi do 90mh at 150 watts would be awesome, but we can still mine with our cards

4714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which is the best CPU mineable coin at present ? on: October 23, 2020, 11:58:42 AM
There's a lot of time I've been asking about this same question in some of the post here, but seems that much of the people here are so busy in GPU mining, well I understand that because some of the coin that was started in cpu is now enabled to mine by GPU, so what is the point that we are competing gpu farm mining our favorite coin. Smiley

There's only few options to mine profitable with CPU and only in certain conditions, this is the reason people don't talk a lot about

XMR and VRS are the coins that can give you a real profit, there's anore coins minable by CPU, but not so profitable, you can always mine and hold until coin reach a good price
But let's talk about these 2 coins

If you have a Ryzen, and a rig with some GPUs mining, it's easy to gain some money with CPUs, because the power consumption will only increase a little, you already have Motherboards, rams, GPUs, ssd etc running, so it's profit
If you have laptops, most of intel cpus, older processors, or only a basic PC, it's doesn't worth to mine with CPUs, you'll put all your PC components to stress, waste power and only "gain" a few cents
Win win.

[2] https://twitter.com/3DCenter_org/status/1318116679172251653/photo/1

4717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: October 22, 2020, 02:42:55 PM
Some news, AMD are afraid of miners buying all the cards again, like Vega and Radeon VII  Cheesy

https://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-navi-10-blockchain-gpu-cryptomining

They want to prevent gamers not being able to buy cards, like RTX 3080
Personally I don't like these mining cards, less warranty, less outputs and hard to resell
4718  Local / Economia & Mercado / Re: PayPal vai permitir comprar, vender e utilizar Bitcoin + BTC bate R$ 70K!!! on: October 22, 2020, 02:35:33 PM

4719  Local / Economia & Mercado / Re: PayPal vai permitir comprar, vender e utilizar Bitcoin + BTC bate R$ 70K!!! on: October 21, 2020, 03:42:14 PM

4720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MSI X570-A Pro motherboard, problems getting +2 gpu for mining on: October 21, 2020, 03:00:44 PM

update the bios.  I've had problems early on with the 4xx and 5xx series boards when they were first released with release bios in that they would only recognize a couple cards.  I think it was around AGESA 1.0.0.2 release for the bios that they started recognizing more cards.  Asus boards have worked the best for me.  They seem to release more BIOS updates more often.  Dealing with gigabyte has been a pain as bios updates are not that frequent.

I don't have that specific board.  i have the MSI X570 Gaming Pro Wifi, with a 3950X, two reference 5700 cards, and 1200 watt platinum ps.  All problems that i've had have been fixed with bios updates.

He said he already updated the mobo bios, and didn't work
You have 2 cards running, it's good, the problem is with 3 cards +

We all agree Asus have the best motherboards to mine, and it's good to research before buy any mobo

You said about Gigabyte, I remember I have once a Gigabyte for AM3 running with FX 8300, and I managed to deal with 5 cards, but with some troubles, nothing easy
It's very frustrating and time consuming to deal with 2 or 3 rigs having problems time to time
