What will happen when IXcoin is removed from CEX.io? that's going to happen in the long run, evidently.
I remember when Nasakioto posted this project in August 2011, the common opinion was that he had created it merely to enrich himself with more BTC.
You guys have been doing an amazing job keeping IX alive over the years. There's only so much you can do, though.
Thomas could have dumped the entire premine and still not have made enough to pay for the server, domain and other costs. IX was never a get rich quick scheme for Thomas or anyone else associated with IX. It's either the real deal or nothing. Regarding CEX, Long term it's hard to say but short term it's never good to lose such a big partner and 90% of your security. We'll see what happens. |

Are they really offering the foundation iXcoin for free? Why not take it to use for bounties? Isn't that what we've wanted to do with Nasakioto's original bounty stash we can't get our hands on?
That guy was joking. This is planet earth, nobody is giving away 3%+ of the IX money supply for free. It would be nice to buy it and give it away to make up for the premine but right now we don't have the funds. If mmpool can maintain a high hash then I guess this won't hurt as bad, although I'm sad to be losing CEX. |

Looking at Bitcoin, it's very much an American coin, from Gavin to guys like Hearn [and their American VC/Bank/Corporate backers] to the head of the BTC foundation, Brock Pierce, all American guys and corporation. Only the NSA/CIA are missing on their sponsor list which I'm sure are there [unofficially].
Nothing wrong with that but if you want a true international image and purpose then you should prove it. How would Americans feel adopting a coin from Russia ran mostly by Russians?
So we need to bring in key individuals from China, Russia, UK, (of course America), Italy, etc., and maybe some crazy Romanian [if he doesn't go nitro]. lol
An additional way is to make ixc available to buy/trade globally so that means various crypto exchanges around the world, especially in China where the market is so massive.

Have they been the richest IXCoin holder ever? Has/is Nasakioto (been) richer in ixes than them?
It's impossible to say. 5 years of dumping makes it impossible to predict. I know the price stayed below 3 cents most of that time and we always had big consistent dumping. |

No real details. The only reason is that they're dumping their "excess" coins. One has to assume that at 2 cents, that if CEX.io, who has mined hundreds of thousands of Bitcoins, is looking to dump for maybe $12,000 then they have perhaps abandoned iXcoin. $12,000 is not money to any pool unless they believe they're selling worthless rocks. This of course would mean that after they dump they will switch off their miners, killing IXC. We may be able to find another pool to pick up IXC but so far I haven't had any luck. I was worried this might happen but I'm really shocked and depressed it's actually happening now. |
