4702  Other / Meta / Re: Staff member dserrano5 promoting scam - should he remain with default trust? on: June 18, 2015, 09:18:32 PM
I think it is quite clear with the last intervention of @vgo why the people complain of moderation in the spanish subforum. This kind of arrogant comments is the norm in the subforum.
Once again, if you have a problem with the way dserrano5, vgo or any other moderator moderate, please create a thread about it or send a PM about it (with solid proof) to theymos and BadBear. It's off-topic in here.
4703  Other / Meta / Re: Staff member dserrano5 promoting scam - should he remain with default trust? on: June 18, 2015, 07:12:38 PM
entertainment and ticoti, his moderation skills aren't being questioned in this thread. If you don't agree with what he does and how he does it, please make a thread about it or send Theymos/Badbear a message. It's off-topic in here.
4704  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk BBCode New Feature - The Hobbit Header! on: June 18, 2015, 04:49:14 PM
Please don't actually do this. It looks terribly messy and exploits invalid HTML that will vary per browser. We will be deleting posts that do this in other threads and banning anyone who does it persistently.

Fixing it seems difficult. It seems like a bug pretty deep in how the bbcode parser works. If anyone knows how to fix it, let me know.
theymos, I know that the BBCode parser in FluxBB disallows invalid BBCode. Can't you check if there is an option for that in SMF (or if you can make one)? Might be something worth checking out.
4705  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Magnr - World's First Bitcoin Savings Account on: June 18, 2015, 03:13:21 PM
Capco seems to be a company that does a lot with banking and the like, but I can't find any references to Btc.Sx or Magnr on their website. Strange.

I can vouch for vm1990. I've been renting his servers for at least six months now and everything is peachy!

The developer is trustworthy, so I think you will be safe but I absolutely can't guarantee on behalf of the developer. Many users have used it and are still using it and there has not been any reports of hacks. Do your own due dilligence before logging in.
And on what do you base this statement? His trust page is pretty empty.

Citation needed. His thread was dead for a long time.
4709  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [NOW AVAILABLE] BTChip / Ledger HW1 : Bitcoin Hardware Wallet in a USB smartcard on: June 18, 2015, 05:50:53 AM
I've installed all the 64 bit drivers and everything worked before doing the update (I wouldn't be able to update without the drivers). I've refreshed the update page multiple times, rebooted my pc, removed and readded the HW1. All to no avail.

4712  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [NOW AVAILABLE] BTChip / Ledger HW1 : Bitcoin Hardware Wallet in a USB smartcard on: June 17, 2015, 09:53:44 PM
I tried to update my old HW1 so that I could use the Ledger Wallet application and the firmware update got stuck after the bootloader part where you are ask to remove the device and reconnect it. I can't get passed the reconnet part as my device isn't seen/recognized anymore. The GreenAddress application on my Android phone doesn't recognize it either. Any ideas, hints, tips?

4717  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Magnr - World's First Bitcoin Savings Account on: June 17, 2015, 02:23:51 PM
Yes. As stated for the third time, the interest comes from the trading fees Cheesy
Well, it's not explicitly stated in the OP that you use trading fees, just that the interest rate differs based on the activity of your exchange, so I kinda get the confusion. It is explicitly stated on your website, but not everything reads that.

Anyway, this seems pretty cool and I might give it a shot.
4718  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Magnr - World's First Bitcoin Savings Account on: June 17, 2015, 02:15:55 PM
So you use the coins to trade and the profit from that pays the interest? Sounds like a bad idea if true.
If I had to guess, I would guess that they use a portion of the fees, generated by the exchange, as interest.

Grin
4720  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Selling a RARE 10BTC 1oz Silver Casascius Coin on: June 17, 2015, 11:30:40 AM
Previous one seen was sold below 19.5btc.
So? Anduck clearly stated that he wants 23BTC. An offer of 14.5BTC is insulting (assuming it was meant as a real offer and not a joke like the posts above), no matter what the previous one sold for. Prices change, markets change.
