4701  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19's "New Normal" is Creating Opportunities in Crypto on: July 20, 2020, 04:18:42 PM
...The world may never know what is going to happen next or what opportunities come our way. The best advice is to stay consistent in whatever you're good at and keep that pig-headed discipline. ..
During this pandemic, the are only two things that my parents always ask me and my little family in out-of-town. They are
1. Are you healthy all?
2. Do you have money for food?
It is simple and makes sense. They feel afraid if their children cannot eat anything and lack of the money so that we will be very suffering in this town. We have no siblings or other families here and we cannot ask for help to others because they also feel the same.
Yeah, the questions are very real because they know that many people are jobless during this pandemic.
But, through this crypto world, fortunately my little family and I can really get earning enough for our necessities during this pandemic and help some for others.
I cannot imagine if I don't know abut this online activities, this crypto world, I probably will turn to be very suffering during this pandemic.
And here, because of the earning from crypto and other online activities, we can prove that job is not only at the office, wearing uniform and also working in our. Working online is also worthy to do and it is also very valuable even in this pandemic. So, it is better not to underestimate online job like this.
I'm also pretty sure that many more people will be realized the significance of the digitized system.
4702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest transaction with bitcoin on: July 20, 2020, 03:42:57 PM
...snip..
Do you mean in Bitcoin or all cryptocurrencies? Well, so far I never checked it because I don't know what's for I need to do But, after reading this thread and reading some replies here, I'm such curious, too.

..snip..
With this big amount of the transaction, I directly see the transaction fees. OMG, it is so high, till more than 691 USD.
This is a very wow amount for me. However, we do not need to know deeper for what they transfer the BTC or USD in that high amount, for what transaction.

IS all transaction able to detect? Or is there any ways to hide the tx or make it secret?
4703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New normal world will make crypto better on: July 19, 2020, 11:58:20 PM
In fact, this is true that during a pandemic, crypto industries are being more popular. We noticed many people also intrduce and advertize about cryptocurrency in several media. However, what happen at that time was not always good because sometimes, the people face the scammers, not the real and legit crypto business.

However, aside from the fact above, we can see that some newcomers are coming in the crypto world. Many more institutions also welcome the cryptocurrency and also the blockchain technology. We have know about the benefits of working in crypto itself during this pandemic. It happens to me right now. When many people lose their jobs outside, and I also fee the same, I can still survive better because of working in the crypto world. So, this will really drive the interest of newcomers to be in the crypto world.
4704  Economy / Economics / Re: Interesting perspective of Investors on: July 19, 2020, 11:51:34 PM
So, the pool is done by Peter Schiff? Well, reaching $10k is actually rather easy for Bitcoin. SO far, the price is still around $9k but it will have the chance to increase adn reacha gain back to $10k. However, what will be it? Well, it may not happen this month. but this eyar still has some months that will have possibilities that the price of the BTC in the market will be increasing again and again.

Few things to note here :

*People are serious about Bitcoins and do know the value of it
*They might be thinking of keeping it as inheritance money or something
*Bitcoin's value won't have any drastic effects since these people are more or so long term holders
Actually i really believe in these statements. I also trust this BTC as a worthy saving so that holding this coin will be very worthy for me and it will reach $10 for sure. Additionally, we will also trust that the future of BTC is always bright. It has very high value and volume in the market to be traded or even for long holding. If we die, we can also till make it as heritage for our kids and family and it will be always worthy for them.
4705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin doesn't reach $500K in 3 years.... on: July 19, 2020, 11:43:52 PM
John McAfee? Well, personally I don't consider that he is an expert. We all know what kind of characteristics he has. He always wants to be famous and he always wants what he said always been heard and also followed by the people in the crypto world. So many booming words or statements from him in this world so far and I think this makes him so proud of it. About this kind of prediction, from what I read, I also don't believe that BTC can reach $500k in 3 years, it is like dreaming and his challenge is really high. Well, don't think too much of him.
4706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to hold now or not? on: July 19, 2020, 11:35:31 PM
Even if it will crash I am confident that it will recover not just like those sh*tcoins after a crash only dust are left and some do exit scam.
It is true. We don't need to worry about the drop in the price of ETH. Just keep holding and wait for the next surge. ETH is the most trusted altcoin, that's why people call it as a king of altcoins. It is much different than other altcoins with having lower ranks or even less marketcaps. The altcoins with low marketcaps are possible to dump and hard to increase their values. But it doesn't happen in ETH that is proven to surge after a few months.
4707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum (ETH) Price on Course to $300 on: July 18, 2020, 11:53:24 PM
It is purely speculation and no strong sign that ETH will got to $300 in the near future. Even, with the current price of Bitcoin that seems rather stable, I am not sure if ETH will move up its price significantly. I believe that the chance of ETH to achieve $300 once Bitcoin price successfully breaks $10,000. As Ethereum usually follows Bitcoin trends, then it will be a good chance for ETH to go $300 if Bitcoin has positive trends. Or also $300 can be achieved with the Hype of Ethereum 2.0.
4708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: July 18, 2020, 11:39:23 PM
So how do you indentify if the project is fake?
Actually there are many ways to identify if a project is fake or real. The point is trying to get clear information about everything related to the project and how the project has been running lately. Here are what we can analyze from the project to know "fake or real":
1. Check the legality and identity of the project. Make sure that the project comes from real country and the project is legal in the country. Don't join the project if we don't know where the project comes from.
2. Ensure all the identities of the team members are real ones. Get the information about their identities by googling and cross-check whether it is true or not.
3. Analyze all the pictures of the team members if they are matched wit the identities or not. Many cases that a project provided faked pictures/photos of the team members. So, we must ensure them by googling and make sure that they are real photos/pictures. Also, we analyze that the photos/pictures have good quality and clear enough. If there is something wrong with the pictures/photos, we must suspect them.
4. Learn the whitepaper and ensure what they stated in the whitepaper is logic or reasonable. Also, check the contents in the whitepaper and make sure there are no plagiarism contents.

Here is also another article that telling you how to know real project: https://www.investopedia.com/tech/how-identify-cryptocurrency-and-ico-scams/

*I suggest you consider IEOs than joining ICOs. It is hard to trust in ICOs anymore.
4709  Other / Meta / Re: When their topic is moved to Off-topic on: July 18, 2020, 11:17:32 PM
It's always funny to see that once their topic is moved from Beginners & Help to the off-topic board (most of the time the topics moderated are moved there), nobody is interested anymore to participate in the discussion they take part in. All participants leave suddenly including @OP.
I see, mostly yes, that's true.  The discussion is like over and it is likley seen that the thread moved to off topic means the end of the thread itself. Cheesy
Well, actually, if the topic made on the thread is interesting, it should be still a chance to make certain discussions and comment to the thread. But of course, it will be done if someone is visiting the off-topic section.

And I am sure that the most reason why they are not interested again to give replies or quotes again on the thread is because off-topic section is mostly not counted to the signature requirements. Many members here prefer to only give comments on the sections that are counted for their signature requirements. But of curse, it is not all members. There are also many members that also make different choices by making thread, commenting on threads although they ar enot counted for the reason that the thread is good enough for discussion and also information.
4710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties managed by team themselves on: July 18, 2020, 11:09:04 PM
I'm not here to discourage you about bounty campaigns that are managed by the project team themselves, I'm here to tell you that you need to be extremely cautious, I've noticed that team managing campaigns themselves is not good
Are you sure that you have noticed all team managing campaigns themselves are not good? All of them? or only some of them? Please do more research about it.
And please see on my signature. It is Bestchange. You know, Bestchange team does their own campaign managing and they are really profesional, legit, pay all of the participants very well, provide trusted and also professional participant selections. In fact, Bestchange (self-campaign managing) pay me with BTC, it is legit, isn't it? Can it be said that this is not good? That is why you must do more reaserch on it before judging all of them. You should say "several" or "most".

Yeah, bounty manager is good enough and they alos help us and the team to manage with professional ways. I also appreciate them because thye have worked very well and hardly.
The most important thing is not only on the BM but on the project itself. We must be careful in choosing a bounty of new projects.
4711  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic situation declining and famous celebs not paying workers on: July 18, 2020, 10:39:50 PM
I think that the payment for celebs are so high moreover they can earn those payments commonly from not only live jobs but also advertisement and others. And they have had much money before this pandemic. Don't they save the money?? At elast, paying the employees are not as high as their payment rates. But well, every celeb probably has different characteristics or also earning. Some of them probably are usual to live in a high lifestyle but no earning coming up again to them.
Yeah, lifestyle, probably becomes also the factor why they want to stay in a high styel but in fact they still have owe to pay for their employers. It is so sad to know the facts.

A sad statement by a worker mentioned:
*I will die of hunger before I die of the virus*

You know, this is also what happen in my country. Many people are jobless during this pandemic, decreased income because they cannot work outside. They have no earning. Some only have money for eating and they got it from the kind people who gave them for food. And very sadly, there was a mother who was died because of hunger in my country, it was so sad.
4712  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}: Fake Blockchain.com Phishing site on: July 18, 2020, 10:30:54 PM
Another fake blockchain.com is on the wild. Just 9 day old site, please be careful.

(p)
Registrar Status   clientTransferProhibited
Dates   9 days old
Created on 2020-07-08
Again, new phishing sites, just created several days ago. Now, the site has gone. Hopefully, it was sut down by the system, not by the owner of the domain so that they can activate it again later.
Well, seen from the display at glance, it is same. if we are not careful enough, it will really trick us. Moreover, for those who are new in this crypto world, they may become victims so easily. Well, it is better to double or triple check the domain before login in. Personally, I have bookmarked the important sites in my browser so that we do not need to search anymore if going to log in or access the sites. It wil help to decrease the chance of the phishing. However, if it is about the new sites, really must be careful to triple check the url link and alos its domain carefully.

The "ュ" character seems to be a Japanese character so I don't think totally blocking such characters would be a great idea. Especially knowing that .com domains are just getting scarcer and scarcer as time goes.
Directly translate this character, and "ュ" means "The".  Cheesy Cheesy
Of course, the character will be allowed because it is Japanese character and the domain providers will not know if the domain initially will be used for phishing or scam. But with the report tiekcet, it will help us to let them know and shut down the sites.
4713  Economy / Economics / Re: Maintaining safety measures after pandemic for human -economical- resources on: July 17, 2020, 11:57:33 PM
..
To curtail the spread of the virus world health organization -WHO- had given some guiding safety measures
...
These are the exact ways of health protocol. After this pandemic, at least, it can be one of the habits for human being to always key the health, pay more attention to the healthy life, keep clean for every condition.
Actually, the main problem is not here, the main problem is how to make the economy return to normal and smooth. As we know, during the pandemic, many people lost their jobs, many industries went bankrupt, and of course the country's economy dropped dramatically.

You are right that there will be always diseases in this world and we may face it. Maintaining the safety after a pandemic is good. But it may not be fully done. As we know that many jobs are against the health protocol where people should communicate and also involved with many people. We can't process about the people on a bus or others that do not follow the health protocol, they do it because they have no chcoie. What they can do is limiting and staying to get the health protocol as able as possible.
4714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They say hardware wallets are the safest on: July 17, 2020, 11:44:36 PM
The reason why the private key can be easily stolen, is one of the reasons why bitcoin will never be a standard currency.
Standard currency!! What do you mean? Please explain to me what standard you are telling about. AFAIK, Bitcoin has a criteria to be a currency and its goal is to be an electronic currency exactly, you can see it on Bitcoin whitepaper: https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf. About private key, "safe or not" it completely depends on the user. If you can manage it correctly, then there is no problem with the security. FYI, I have stored my Bitcoin for years both on hardware and online wallets, until now there is no problem at all.
4715  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i am new here in this forum on: July 17, 2020, 11:25:15 PM
Actually, I am also a newbie here and honestly, I have no idea about it but I'm willing to learn and to gain knowledge all about this forum.
At least you have the intention to learn seriously, it is a good start as a newbie. Don't be like some newbies that hurry to think about earning money than focusing on learning or gaining sufficient knowledge. Regarding to learning source, you can start by reading all the sticky threads that telling you about forum rules. And if you want to learn something, you can use the "search feature", then you can get what you are willing to read. I have done many times this way, and it works for me. So, I can learn independently besides asking others about specific topics to learn. Good luck, buddy!  Wink
4716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in a wrong way on: July 17, 2020, 11:08:49 PM
this happens a lot for newbies who are new to crypto, in my place many people trade but after a few days / months after that they complain about investing money in shitcoin, many of them don't understand the project objectives and don't see the products in the project , they only think of profit
Basically, newbies are better to learn and focus to gain knowledge first before thinking of earning profits by joining trading or investment immediately. Once they come to the crypto world to dream about earning profits as soon as possible, it will be a disaster since crypto jobs are full of risks. For example like what you stated above, they won't trade properly and just complain in a few days/months later.

I doubt that they are investing in new altcoins, so they just realized the value of the tokens was getting worse after the fundraising was over already. Well, I suggest for all newbies that don't be too brave on speculating once you are still beginners. It is better to invest or trade the top coins first because they are much safer. If you want to speculate on new altcoins, you can plan it after you have enough knowledge about it.
4717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Trust a Project Announce BY A Legendary Member on: July 14, 2020, 09:59:04 PM
I can't trust a project just because a legendary members post their announcements thread, he can be paid to do so and i don't think forum rank really justifies the guenuity and legitness of a person.
You are right. Legendary rank won't guarantee that the project announcement is legit or trustable. Yep, the project team can pay him to make the announcement. Also, the level of ranks in this forum has nothing to do with the quality of a project announcement. Even if someone has been a long time in this forum, it cannot be an indicator/sign that he is a trustable person. We also cannot measure someone's experience or knowledge by analyzing how long he has been in the forum. Keep doing analyzing on everything that has a correlation to the quality of the project such as the identity or track record of the project teams, project's MVP, the token's function/concept, the exchanges where the tokens are listed, and etc.
4718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Chance (to grow) with small coins - which one? on: July 14, 2020, 07:09:19 PM
Actually now, I'm watching DEAPcoin. This is a coin for the game (Jobstribe if you ever heard), manga, and others. Has been listed in some big exchanges like OKEx, Bittrex, Bithumb, and also Indodax. It will be also real used especially for gaming and other utility. of course, I believe that it can grow well although now the price is still low. But, it has a good volume. Check it here:
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/deapcoin/

But of course, doing your own research is better because it will give no regret for following the others. moreover, think also about the use case of the coin and how the team manages and also develop the coin progress.
4719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think online casinos can effectively prevent underage gambling? on: July 14, 2020, 06:50:03 PM
Well, yeah, gambling is now concerned with an age restriction. many kids are now trying to get entered in this gambling world, moreover, there is likely no gap for the online gambling sites. they can access it easily via internet connection. And about it, I think that the parent's role is very important whether they will restrict their kids to play gambling or not. Or they will give certain rules or age restrictions or not.
About the gambling sites that are not restricted enough for the YC, I think that yeah it is normal. Some of them are not a problem with what users they have, they only focus on the traffic and also user activities. But of course, some of other online gambling sites still concern about it and restrict the kinds underage.

BTW, I ever made a thread about the age restriction for playing gambling. Check it here and you may find new wow news.

4720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell BTC in United States and Tax Implications on: July 14, 2020, 06:41:28 PM
If you have no problem with KYC/AML, it will be easier then. Is there any trusted and big local exchange in your country? I'm sure that there are some.
Here, I may suggest you research Kraken and also Coinbase, but not Coinbase pro. They offer high limits and also speed. For local exchanges, there will be speedier commonly, moreover withdraw it for fiat directly by wire bank.

Also what would be the tax implication of this?  I purchased btc out of country. Wanted to do this to bypass FX control of my home country. The total amount is around 10 btc but wanted to do this over one year or so in small amount each time.
If your mind, you can read about the crypto taxation in the US in the following link. There is clear explanation about it.
https://koinly.io/guides/cryptocurrency-tax-guide/

How about Bitcoin ATM's ? you can withdraw your BTC anonymously.
It may be, but the fee is very high if using BTC ATM. He must also compare the efficiency or speedy with the fee to make the transaction clear enough and of course, not wasting much money only for fees. moreover, it is high amount of BTC.

Does Bitcoin ATM's also buying Bitcoin or you can sell your Bitcoin in some Bitcoin ATM's? I thought it is only for buying Bitcoins.
Commonly, BTC ATM is used for buying BTC. But, there are also some BTC ATMs that offer the bi-directional functionality to buy and sell using BTC ATM. But of course, he must find the ATM correctly and think about the very high transaction fees if using the BTC ATM.
