To me there is not so much difference between the words regulate and monitor when a EU institution is talking. I don't want neither regulation nor monitoring from them.
4702  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-01-26] Bankchains Could Be A Mix of Bitcoin And Ethereum Technology on: January 26, 2016, 08:03:34 AM
I don't like the words bank and chains forming a new word, especially not bankchain. But the newspeak needs a kind of language that can be understood.

I don't see anything wrong in mixing BTC and ETH even though I'm rather curious of how this bank blockchain will be implemented and how those smart contracts will be seen.

Zeushash has stopped paying out to the miners! They have come up with a terrible excuse which is being displayed every time I click the withdrawal button. Undecided

Zeus s been receiving nothing but bad press since the day they started operating and it seems they deserve it. Can anyone confirm they own HalleyBTC?

What would be the point of proving that they own it or operate it? They advertised it directly through their main website, wouldn't that be enough to prove a close relation between the two? HalleyBTC is just another ponzi much like Zeushash's mining scheme that never paid out.

The same happened to cointellect exactly last year: at some point payments got suspended and the ponzi scam revelead itself for what it was.

4705  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN going up or down on: January 25, 2016, 10:20:36 AM
yesterday the price had fallen $380, today rise up to $400. very volatile now I'm confused, bitcoin prices will go up or down?
how about you ?
I wouldn't really call that volatile though. It is just stable $400, that's all. The price is going up.

When volumes are low BTC trades sideways most of the time. Bagholders enjoy these times since they can do some good daytrading. Considering all the different news, the fights and so forth is still unclear if we are heading up or down.
I'm waiting for some more clues  Smiley
4706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 25, 2016, 10:11:25 AM
Later see Juventus Roma of yesterday, i'm sure 99% Juventus win italian serie a. In long term, Napoli lose point because not have a good defensive repart. i don't understand why don't buy another player now
Don't judge Napoli out man, they are still the only serious opponent for Juventus. I agree Juventus is better on the overall but Napoli is showing something more than good football: they are starting to believe that winning is possible.
4707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 140k Tesla bought with Bitcoin 2 days ago on: January 25, 2016, 10:09:09 AM
If our main goal or achievement in life is to buy an expensive car with BTC, as I see many here would love it, well BTC really did not make us aware of the potential that's behind this amazing technology.
I'm here for the financial freedom I could gain one day when everything will be f****d up rather than perpetuating a system that cares only if I have a brande new iPhone, a brand new house and brand new car.

Please, come on
4708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 25, 2016, 09:25:39 AM
It should be clear to everyone that Napoli and Juventus are the only two teams which can battle for the Italian League: I still don't understand which tema could be the winner but I think everything relies on whether Juventus will keep on playing in ECL or not. In that case Napoli could win the title.
4709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 25, 2016, 09:21:58 AM
we are trading around 400$ but all seems verty quiet, even chartbuddy was left alone for 4 hours  Smiley
low volumes on all major exchanges by the way, almost peaceful I would say
4710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 25, 2016, 08:30:57 AM
A lot of people were on Arsenal today but Chelsea hasn't lost a game since interim coach took over. They might not have been winning games but thought they could at least draw with Arsenal. A lot of people will probably be all over Chelsea again come next week.

Nice win by Chelsea and a good game in terms of strategy. Mourinho's time is well behind right now and Hiddink gave a kinf of fresh start to Chelsea players.
Curious to see how they'll perform until march/april.
4711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keeping 1MB forever seems like a hunger marketing scheme on: January 25, 2016, 08:18:31 AM

Is it a common characteristic of open source projects to wait until there's fire to agree to make changes? Srs question.

Dunno. But most open source projects don't involve money or political pressure. I guess that never stopped anyone bitching and sniping anyway.

Where do you position yourself in the debate?

You see? that's what I'm talking about  Smiley What if I don't have a clear view right now? I do not want to take sides. I think this is just me but that's a big issue, and that radicalize too much our discussion.

"Position" includes the middle, as well as the sides. And the Fringes. As well as the rest of the map.

So can we put you in the same category as gentlemand: no position, except to set yourself up in the exalted, rational middle-ground? People should listen to you, because you have no opinion one way or the other? I wonder how quickly people like you will coalesce around another governance coup.... y'know, just to break the deadlock, I mean let's all be reasonable and just compromise!

But there is no requirement to compromise for the sake of a sustained campaign of trolls; the opposite is true. Don't get labelled as one of those trolls, it's not working out for them so far.

I don't want to be seen as a wise man because I am not one. I'm only struggling because I think BTC is a big thing and I'm bit down seeing a lot words spent on nothing.
If you really want an answer mine would be to keep things as they are before the next halving: my ideal view is that BTC development would be considered as the Linux Kernel one. There's a need of someone who is willing to take leadership (for the good or the bad) here.
BTC works, we know it by now. We know some of the glitches that it has but my genuine question is: what is driving further development, money or interest for one of the greatest tools after the internet?
I see money having a big part in it and I don't like that. The risk of losing BTC tech for money is so damn high.

Happy now?  Smiley
4712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 24, 2016, 10:54:49 AM
Interesting Premier League games and these are my picks

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Tottenham
Sunderland vs Bournemouth over 2,5 goals
Watford vs Newcastle Watford
W. Ham vs Man. City over 2,5 goals

I am not so sure. Sunderland vs Bournemouth to score a lot of goals
probably the result of about 1-0 or 1-1

you gave me the best advice: if I would have followed your suggestion now I would have won 0.55BTC!
Next time I hope I'll see your comment before!!!  Wink
4713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 24, 2016, 10:53:11 AM
Only two games for Serie A this Saturday and I will try quite difficult bets

Frosinone vs Atalanta Draw
Empoli vs Milan Milan + over 2,5 goals

Too bad I missed Milan winning! this was a hell of a betslip! Bad luck I was close to winning. Frosinone Atalanta resulted in a draw with good odds

It really seems to not be able to make up its mind which way it is going right now. That is some serious UP/DOWN activity.

Yes the price is not settled just going up and down. Today the rate has almost near to the value that settled few days before over the 380$. Even though value is not growing much some positive hope is there over most of the users which will surely lead to growth

Lots of things going on beyond the Bitcoin Ecosystem as well so that is normal to me that we have such a jumping price. This up/downs make a lot of clever daytraders very happy though.
4716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keeping 1MB forever seems like a hunger marketing scheme on: January 23, 2016, 10:48:23 AM
We could schedule one now for 2017, although someone needs to make a proposal.

I think this is the fundamental question that needs to be answered: WHO is SOMEONE that can make a proposal? From what I'm reading in these very many threads the only one who can make such a proposal is Satoshi himself and we all know this won't happen, I'm afraid.

Every proposal made gets polarized and radicalized as soon as it reaches the public.

After yesterday's win with B. Munchen another betslip for today

Borussia Moenchengladbach vs Borussia Dortmund over 3,5 goals
Hertha vs Augsburg Home or draw
Hoffenheim vs Leverkusen Both teams to score
Ingolstadt vs Mainz under 3,5 goals
4720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 22, 2016, 09:06:36 AM
Bayern Munchen will win this game 3-0. I don't think Hamburger SV will be able to score a single goal.
Hamburger SV - Bayern Munchen 0-3 or BM wins + over 2,5 goals
