Good lists, I saw some of my threads are included there. If I may add, I think it's better if you would include the author of thread as well? Or you can add this as well:

4702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 18.5 million BTC already mined on: September 28, 2020, 08:41:00 AM
Time is not on our side, 18.5 BTC has already been mined. So it means that only less than 2.5 million BTC is left for us to grab and accumulate overtime. So make the right choice, invest while there is still time, as there will be demand in the future because supply is getting short.

4703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Christmas on: September 27, 2020, 08:50:45 AM
We are already in "ber" months which it is a sign that we are fast approaching on Christmas day which is on December 25.
I have this on my mind that I'll start to prepare my present or gifts to some of my friends and family.

I want something related to Bitcoin like I will give a present that has related to Bitcoin, like some Angpao on Bitcoins? Paper wallets with Bitcoin inside? Or anything else.
So I am here asking for some opinion of yours, what's your suggestion for a present or gift for our loved ones for this upcoming Christmas?

Where are you located though? Maybe you can check this two options.

https://opendime.com/
https://www.coldkey.eu/

Instead of paper wallets, I think those two are good options, although it might require some technical and crypto security knowledge.
4704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The IRS offers reward to anyone able to break Monero and the LN on: September 27, 2020, 08:12:55 AM
I also have a similar thread, SEC offered a 625K bounty for a tool to track LN and Monero.

As others have commented on them, government will do everything to break our anonymity with Monero and then some, to get those tax evaders as well. So it will never be an ending battle here, cat and mouse game, as the saying goes.
4705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Yearly Lows on: September 27, 2020, 07:45:32 AM
Even year 2020 still not yet over, do you think we will still experience a new yearly low? Lower than $3,850 which we experienced that around March 2020.
I will be optimistic here, I doubt that we are going to see a new yearly lows for 2020, that price of $3850 will be our lows. Unless we see another negative news just like the covid-19 scare that will bring the market to that price again.

Which yearly lows you already experienced? Mine was 2017 - 2018.
I think the big impact for us who have been in 2017-2018 was the bear market, specially after coming from a bull run and everything thinks that the price will hit $50k in 2018, but that didn't happen. And I guess another important thing seeing yearly lows or at least a bear market is that it is a period of accumulation.
4706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Micah - Sept 26 on: September 27, 2020, 07:20:09 AM
Casimero delivered again even showboating it was the body punch that did it from there her finds the opening to deliver those uppercuts if you missed the fight you can find the full fight here, congratulation to Casimero this is a good win, and good preparation for the Inoue fight which we all hope will push through

This is just a really get busy fight for Casimero, it shouldn't go to round 3 as obviously Micah has lost already by just looking at this body language. Casimero doing some one hand push up at the end. Too proud and boastful, but what can you do? he can back it up with his fists. He should go for Inoue because that is the original plan after all.
4707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 27, 2020, 06:56:36 AM
Congratulations to the Lakers!! Finals are real.

I've never thought that it's been 10 years since their last finals appearance.
This is my question to myself after watching the game. Thanks for the answer. 10 years was such a long time. I'm glad Lakers are really back to the finals.

Now it's time for them to prepare for the big game against the winner between Celtics and Miami. Anyway, congratulations to the team (Lakers) and their fans. Smiley

That wouldn't be possible without Lebron James, he knows how to do the job as every team he is playing will go to the Finals.

Miami vs Lakers, that sounds good to see, or you guys like Boston instead?
Lebron shows why is he is the King, he took over the fourth quarter and bring the Lakers to the finals again after a decade. Would like a classic Boston vs Lakers, but I'm sure fans are not going to regret a Miami vs Lakers as well. I watched their game Dec 2019 and it was really a tight battle, Davis 3 was the difference back then but Miami could have won that game as well. But regardless though, I think Lebron will bring the Lakers the NBA championship this season.
4708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A woman has been arrested in the United States for hiring a killer with bitcoin on: September 27, 2020, 06:26:22 AM
For this woman, making a contract to someone in the darkweb to hire a killer is already a sin. Look she was still hoping that it will go as plan, but look at how the scammers did to her, ask for more money. And then someone leaked the information to the authorities getting here arrested and for sure going to jail for her actions here, very stupid. As far as bitcoin, it's dark market, people only transact their using crypto what do you expect? But it doesn't mean that bitcoin is going to be used for this purposes only, it's just part of the equation.
4709  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin exchange detected a large withdrawal. Provably Hacked? on: September 26, 2020, 08:32:17 AM
According to whale alert on Twitter, large withdrawals were still happening from Kucoin addresses even after the disabling of withdrawals and deposits.

Most exchanges would withdraw hot wallet funds to new wallets in a case like this, even if only as a precaution. I assume that's what was happening after withdrawals were shut down.

The CEO just did a live stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRzL0kdUnME

He confirmed a hot wallet (or some hot wallets) were compromised, but said the losses were limited and users won't be affected. All losses will supposedly be covered by their insurance fund. Fingers crossed.
I thought the fund lost is in millions? how can the CEO downplay the incident?

Not your keys, not your Crypto – Kucoin Hacked! $150m Stolen.

Yes, they said that it is SAFU, but still he can't just say the losses were limited here.
4710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF FAKE GIVEAWAYS IN DISGUISE AS UNISWAP on: September 26, 2020, 08:18:41 AM

4711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 26, 2020, 07:47:40 AM
This is just an obvious money-grab for McGregor, and we know how bad he fought against Mayweather on August of 2017.
So is Manny willing to give another opportunity for Conor to make more money out of him? I don't know, if this is the case then Manny should fought boxers and shouldn't do any MMA cross-over match. This is definitely a win situation for Conor, even if he lost, he will get a lot of money from the fight. Just my opinion, if I'm Manny I wouldn't take this bait and will not give this kind of sweepstakes again to Conor. He already had it with Floyd. Anyways, boxing is pure business now and money talks so....

Edit:
Quote
“It’s something that’s been talked about over the last year and it’s something I think could happen one day. The senator is going to fight again in 2021. He’s absolutely looking to fight and Conor McGregor is on the list of guys the senator could fight,” Gibbons said about Pacquiao, who serves as a senator in his native Philippines. “If the fight ever did happen it would be a huge global event between two global superstars. But it’s a long way from (there being any kind of deal). This is just Conor playing around right now, wishful thinking.”

4712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Mark Magsayo vs Rigoberto Hermosillo on Oct 3 on: September 26, 2020, 07:19:49 AM
Yup, Mark Magsayo is a Filipino boxer and he is also one of those that have a high chance of becoming a world champion someday if this kid would be manage properly.

Jose Haro pulled out from their supposed fight because he decided to retire early, you can read the link below for more info.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5274644.msg55179648#msg55179648
There still lot of future awaits for  Mark Magsayo being still young and have a good record in playing, he wins always in Ko and  no records of lose yet, he is someone who can make big names in the future if his career will continue to perform this way.
Yes, there's a lot of future for Mark since is still very young and he can be a world champion someday. What he needs is a good exposure in the US and continue to train and improved his skills more. I just hope that when we step up the plate, he will perform very well because Filipinos are good boxers but majority fell when they go on the world stage

Odds may be visible next week in sports books will monitor it also.
The odds may not be attractive for Magsayo though.
4713  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Not your keys, not your Crypto – Kucoin Hacked! $150m Stolen. on: September 26, 2020, 06:48:51 AM
Its quite unfortunate that Hack of such magnitude could happen with such a reputable exchange like Kucoin, big lesson to newbies and all of us to always avoid storing coins our any exchange, they are not safe now, there are affordable cold wallets and online wallets where with your key secured, I believed this will not be the last hack, as hackers are getting more sophisticated and easily penetrate any exchange firewall to steal coins.
It also goes to show that no one is really safe, not Binance, not Kucoin and any other exchanges for that matter. That's why we always promote the old but very effective adage, not your keys not your coins. And we have a thread before about staking our bitcoin for a 4% APY in an exchange. It create a lot of controversy specially about leaving our BTC to an exchange because of an event of a hack, they could be stolen. So this is what we are afraid of. Although they said that it is insured, but still, the dangers and the threat are always present. So it's really be a good practice to just keep a small amount of BTC in an exchange for our trading activity and not our life-savings.
4714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government figures or politicians supporting Bitcoin? on: September 26, 2020, 05:59:13 AM
Also remember that government or the people behind it, the politicians can make a sudden shift and make a U-turn in their support/oppose of crypto, so it doesn't matter though. Of course we wanted to see governments around the world putting 100% behind crypto but I guess it won't happen as there could be some governments who are going to see crypto in bad light whatever good and positive effects it can bring to them. Supporting bitcoin and supporting blockchain technology is different though. Like China for instance, they have a lot and hate relationship to bitcoin, but with blockchain technology it's different. They have embrace and welcome it with open arms, just look at the patents they have been filing and only US can rival them in terms of the numbers of patents being filed.
4715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH 2.0 And High Transaction Fees.. on: September 25, 2020, 11:30:46 AM
Hii Everyone

I have a little question .... Sorry if this sound silly but i just cant help but ask

Everyone has been talking about the much anticipated ETH 2.0 and how it will put an end to the high transaction fees which is currently one of the major problems on Ethereum blockchain.

My question now is , what happens if ETH 2.0 fails to put an end to the high fees ?? would this mean the Death or partial death of ether?

(death--no longer used)
(partial death--no longer used like before)
No, ETH will still exist and won't die, after all, it is the one of the prime movers in crypto, together with BTC. Perhaps new project will move to a new dapps, or existing one will do the same. But they have the leverage because they are first in the game. So we will have to wait what ETH 2.0 will bring and I'm sure the priority will be the high fees. Or maybe they will just create another off-chain mainnet to somewhat mitigate the network congestion.
4716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were the precursors of Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2020, 10:45:06 AM
There is an good thread about it here, Bitcoin Prehistory. I think you can visit it and I'm sure you will learn a thing or two.  Smiley
4717  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Fake SpaceX Foundation BTC and ETH giveaway on: September 25, 2020, 10:35:18 AM
I agree that they could have used this domain name, I'm not that well averse on domain flipping, but a .com and SpaceX? might be good if they just re-sell it. Anyhow, this are criminals,  and I'm sure that the thought didn't crossed their mind. It seems that the Ethereum address has been flag already as phishing, so that's good at least when some noobs try to check it, they will see the notifications and might not deposit at all. Sadly, both addresses have funds already, so some beginners are not regretting being greedy because they have been scammed already.
4718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people keep playing unlicensed, illegal slot machines? on: September 25, 2020, 09:59:41 AM
Or people think it is more expensive to play slots on a casinos than a slots on some regular shops.
But that's not true right? We can play as low as 0.1$ per bet in a game with more reputation, or we can play even lower than 0.1$ in provably fair slots.
Yes, not true at all, even here we have second tier casinos which is legal, of course the ambiance and atmosphere is different and you can play as cheap as 0.1$. So I would rather go there than to play illegal slot machine because you don't stand against a rig machine. Convenience maybe, just passing time, or they are really hook or somewhat getting the addiction, so it's really hard for them to stop.
4719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 25, 2020, 09:32:47 AM
Tenen!

3-1

Lakers won.

I don't think LAL will make this series longer.
It is what I'm thinking. This could end up to 4-1 and the finals, it's going to be...

Heat vs Lakers.

Yeah, Lakers congratulations to them. Denver without Jokic effort is really easy to beat, I don't know why Jokic was so careless, he was foul trouble so he has to set early in the 3rd quarter, and man, James did a great job on Murray, the defense was really good that Murray unable to make some magical show.
Everyone is really rotating on Murray to challenge every shot and even he is dribbling, he is always double team. And just like in their previous losses, the Lakers build a good lead, and then play defense. AD is also hot in this series.

Big win by the Lakers, Rondo again a good play maker who contributed pretty well in this game, and by the way the scariest part in the game was when Davis almost injured his ankle, damn, Denver could be 4-2 winning the series, good thing, good thing he is alright.
Playoff Rondo, lol, that's experience for you. Let's see if Nuggets will steal the next game to make it more exciting. Or it's 4-1, Lakers vs Miami.
4720  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1 Billion in Bitcoin Options Expire Friday. on: September 24, 2020, 11:10:11 PM
every now and then there are some options that are expiring with different total amounts (by the way you forgot to mention the source for that $1 billion amount which is weird) but the market never cares. there are times that some people panic and some other times that they don't so we don't even see that small panic move. but one thing is always certain, we can't predict what the next market move is going to be specially at times like this.
We have like every 3 months bitcoin options expiry right? And in the past it wasn't even sensationalized or at least it was not given any attention so it doesn't have any impact at the market at all. Although this is huge amount $1 billion, so maybe the market will just swallow this kind of news just like in the past and the effect will not be felt at all. So I don't see any panic here and it couldn't make any difference at all.
