4721  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is the reason behind this silence? May be a find out. on: July 26, 2020, 05:49:42 PM
I believe OP mentioned my name here due to the trust list. However, since my name mentioned here so I will clear about PM. No, I haven't received any PM from LFC_Bitcoin or Sportsbet as well regarding the support or oppose flags. I can't recall if I had chat with LFC_Bitcoin via forum PM. On the other hand, I haven't look into the case deeply so I can't judge anything right now. Due to lack of time sometimes it's not possible to reply to some accusations, also sometimes all DT members wouldn't interested in all cases, especially those who are not well aware of gambling like me.
4722  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Inquiry on Blockchain. on: July 26, 2020, 05:18:06 PM
1. Could be the team get their funds out from their pocket in the making of this technology or is it like from the crowd (crowdsourcing projects).
Developers don't need money to develop anything they know. It's just a matter of time. For a more easy explanation, just imagine, you know how to code a website completely. So if you want to create a website then you just need to buy domain hosting, that's it and I don't think it's a big deal.

2. Could they be using resources like supercomputer for blockchain tech to operate blockchain tech?
Depends on, truly decentralized blockchain like bitcoin doesn't require supercomputers. It has been operating by the peer to peer computer system. Even you may help if you could download the whole bitcoin blockchain, you don't need to have a supercomputer.

3.Could be that bitcoin and blockchain were both being made by the same team or individual or organization/group?
Here you will fund history of blockchain. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain

4. Does bitcoin, satoshi, theymos and malta island as the blockchain island connected to each other?
Everyone Satoshi until he revealed himself with appropriate evidence, regarding Malta, it's their own business. It doesn't prove they are related or creator of bitcoin.
4723  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: elmanchez exit scam, loan default on: July 26, 2020, 08:55:39 AM
I can't recall who had left but there was negative feedback on his profile at the beginning due to unreasonable loan requests. But we must say, elmanchez is a very clever person who knows how to manage people. He gained trust very fast and skip very fast as well. For lenders, it's become more difficult to spot the likely scammer. Hope OP will avoid such as borrower in the future and get a lesson from this story.

Sorry for your loss.
4724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly Decentralised? on: July 26, 2020, 08:42:47 AM
There are no truly decentralized projects, unfortunately
It doesn't appropriate for bitcoin. For other projects, it would appropriate since they have a known team & official website as well. For bitcoin, we can say its truly decentralized. There is no team nor official website, even we don't know actually who is the creator except our imagination. You will get lots of answers when you will search on Google why bitcoin is fully decentralized including Wikipedia.
4725  Economy / Reputation / Re: Warning! Webcelerator ; fantom1962 ; Webcelerator. ; fantom1962. ; elmanchez on: July 25, 2020, 06:50:31 PM
I created a type 3 flag for elmanchez:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2163
Sorry for your loss, that's the disadvantage of gaining quick trust. From the beginning, his activity was quite suspicious, but he had managed successfully those suspensions. Once a time he had asked me for a loan, but since I am not a lender so I denied him that time. However, he had made an avatar for me when he was a newbie. And have made a few contributions by creating the free design. Eventually, he successfully gained trust from lenders including TMAN.

Sorry once again for your losses, the amount was quite big. Supported flags and tagged as well.
4726  Other / Meta / Re: Clarification of a rule, Can we get a managers board on: July 25, 2020, 06:18:17 PM
No, we should not give campaign managers a place to receive prominent advertising space via the creation of a child board just for signature campaign managers.
Aren't managers advertising their service on the Service section? So I don't think it will be problems if create a child board where only posting 'campaign management service thread' will be allowed. And sticky thread will be appropriate there regarding rules especially those are related to the campaign.

I am not a good manager but I believe what is ongoing lately by spamming or sending unsolicited PM's would effect on campaign field. For example competition about reducing participants rewards and so on.
4727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly Decentralised? on: July 25, 2020, 05:52:43 PM
Who registered the domain name bitcoin.org back on 18th Aug 2008?
If the domain wasn't registered by Satoshi then most likely it was registered by Sirius - (Martti Malmi). Likely you will fund few more information here.

Quote
Bitcoin.org was originally registered and owned by Bitcoin's first two developers, Satoshi Nakamoto and Martti Malmi.
We can just assume someone from both of them registered the domain, but of course, most probably they had used the latest technology to hide their real identity. And based on that, I can say Bitcoin is truly decentralized since even it doesn't have an official website.

No one could give you exact answers about Satoshi's motives, better search Google and get some ideas.
4728  Economy / Exchanges / Re: in your opinion what would make you try to use a new cryptocurrency exchange? on: July 25, 2020, 05:25:06 PM
The first thing your topic doesn't belong to the Bitcoin Discussion board, please move into Trading Discussion Board from the lower left. Back to the question, number (d) is most important for me to choose a cryptocurrency exchange. But as always, any centralized exchange has problems with security. So we can't say to any exchange 100% safe. But bad luck is decentralized exchange doesn't have enough volume & enough trading pairs. So by force, we have to trust centralized exchanges if wee needs to trading. We are hopeless, somehow we are using it.
4729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM's in europe - ID limits on: July 25, 2020, 12:30:09 PM
Wondering why you need to fly buy a single bitcoin even there is no Bitcoin ATM? If the only problem about id verification? This problem would be solved by the peer to peer trading system. Or if you want to fly then you may take a look at this thread who bought bitcoin from BTM just a few days back, Finally used a bitcoin ATM successfully!

You may buy bitcoin from your local (peer to peer) and you may buy from the forum as well on the Currency Exchange section. There will no required of KYC, but you must need to use trusted escrow from the forum to avoid scams. Also, you may buy bitcoin from LocalCryptos where you will not ask for KYC and its non-custodial wallet.
4730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Exchange Explain How They Saved Their Users From Twitter Hackers on: July 24, 2020, 05:36:16 PM
+2 Merits for the positive contribution to the thread.
-1 Merit for still being a Coinbase Client.
You will +1 it if you know the fact why I am using coinbase. I am not using it's a wallet to store my coins. Coinabse is most popular in my country due to the fact of peer to peer free transactions. All bitcoin resellers in my country use coinbase to buy sell bitcoin. On the other hand, its instant peer to peer transaction made it easier to deal faster and save transaction fees. Of course, I never hold for a longer or a big amount. For example, I received a signature reward in coinbase and sell it instantly to local resellers without fees. If I receive my rewards to electrum then I have to pay transaction fees during the sale my funds. I am not encouraging to use coinbase or any centralized wallet, but the fact I told why I am using it temporarily. Just a question, why should I pay transaction fees for a small number of funds when I could deal it free and instantly?
4731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Exchange Explain How They Saved Their Users From Twitter Hackers on: July 24, 2020, 05:07:41 PM
If I give them the order to payt a scammer, why should they block this order? Maybe I am happy to be scammed, maybe I owe themy money because they lent me money before, or any other unknown reason.
You are right, but you know this is a centralized exchange. I can't see any valid reason to disagree with them except to centralize regulation. We must say that they took the right and real-time decision to save their customers. They didn't prevent you to spend your money, but they prevent you from scammers which you aren't aware of really. If you were really happy to scammed or owe money, then it wasn't difficult to withdraw another address then send it to the scammer. They have notified to their users why they prevent sending funds to the scammers. I had seen warning noticed when open coinbase wallet.
4732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting research on Satoshi and his motives and actions on: July 24, 2020, 01:51:52 PM
As I am always telling that, who has created bitcoin he is more brilliant than our imagination. We don't know exactly those addresses belong to Satoshi and don't know if it has been sold. But if in case he is alive and holding all of his mined bitcoin currently then I believe he will never sell it instantly. Satoshi can't destroy his own kingdom. His motives were to create a financial environment where we can enjoy manage our own funds without any third party involvement. We can say bitcoin give us financial freedoms, we are our own bank.
4733  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Bitcoin Wallet? on: July 24, 2020, 07:59:06 AM
Since you are asking out of Hardware wallet means you know the benefit of it. However, my first choice for hold bitcoin is Hardware wallet. I have heard the first time about Copay wallet, and by quick search noticed it's founded by Bitpay. That's not a problem at all since its non-custodial open-source wallet. Not much negative feedback about this wallet, so you might use it as well.

However, if you can download full blockchain then go with the Bitcoin core which is more secure. Or if you don't like download full node then you may use Electrum SPV wallet. I know Copay also SPV wallet like Electrum but Electrum has 2FA where Copay does not have. Electrum also easy to use especially you may set your transaction fees manually according to you but I am not sure if it's possible on Copay. I am using Electrum so I would prefer you to use it, but be careful from hackers. Doesn't matter what wallet you are using but keep your seeds safe and avoid a phishing attack by downloading any software or update from original sources.
4734  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam] Bitcrypto.uno Ponzi on: July 23, 2020, 01:50:37 PM
I can say these scammers aren't smart. It's just a stupid attempt. Who will believe them? To be honest, 90% of Ponzi investors know about the risk of investments, and likely 10% are new but greedy. So my thought is any experienced Ponzi investors will never throw their money on this site. I know some investors take the risk because some Ponzi schemes pay a week or month. But no, such as Ponzi wouldn't run even a single day. Unrealistic plans here I have seen ever. Stay away.
4735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please help me. on: July 23, 2020, 01:06:49 PM
There is a reasonable suspicion that this whole story is just a scam attempt, and ClydWell is just OP alt account.
I second that, @ClydWell tried to another scam attempt here. He is selling his bitcoin there 20-30 off price where he is selling full account/private key with funds. This post just is a part of the drama to scam newbies. And scammers are targeting this board because most of the newbies active here. Monthly $2400 salary is pretty high, at least reasonable I think. Monthly $2400 salary is pretty high, at least reasonable I think. So why OP need help from here or what kind of help he needs?
4736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big decision by the OCC - Banks can now hodl Bitcoins. on: July 23, 2020, 12:15:09 PM
I am wondering, why should I store my bitcoin to the banks? Am I not my own bank? Just assume it would keep role bitcoin adoption, but besides that, it would freeze your bitcoin as well. And obviously, the most disadvantage is you are exposing yourself as a bitcoin user. Perhaps buy-sell via bank is something positive in my opinion. But storing my bitcoin there isn't a wise decision. Even I am not encouraged to get loans or staking my bitcoin with the bank. Maintenance fees would be high as well. I am pretty sure any big holders will not store their bitcoin into the bank. But overall it's a positive move for bitcoin adoption.
4737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: July 23, 2020, 09:03:53 AM
It's very simple to avoid such as giveaway scam attempts just by using your common sense here. If any celebrity like Elon Musk wants to distribute some money among crypto users, then he will never ask for sent money to him. Probably he would ask you just for your address. When he will ask to send money to him, then you should realize there something fishy going on which would lead you to scam. You should be smarter and should aware that there isn't something like a money-making machine, so no one will able to give you a double return. Greedy behavior should avoid always especially when it's been related to online activity. Just remember, don't hand over your money to others.
4738  Economy / Reputation / Re: A threat to paint me and cheat me out of money ses-store. on: July 23, 2020, 08:45:26 AM
An accusation with Telegram screenshots is too weak. Deal with forum PM so there will be strong evidence if someone tries to scam you. We can't judge anything based on telegram chat history. It would be edited or impersonated. Someone easily could create a fake chat history about me or could create a similar username. If @ses-store threaten you on forum PM then we would able to punish him/her. Otherwise, it's not reasonable to punish someone on the forum due to Telegram chat.

By the way, always try to use forum trusted escrow when you are going to deal with someone even forum users. So you might avoid unwanted scam attempts.
4739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoins stuck in wallet? (moved post here) on: July 22, 2020, 04:30:42 PM
I have answered most of your questions on your previous thread. Please help us with more information to identify your problems like bitcoin address or transaction id if you don't have problems with your privacy. If your transaction completed on coinabse then there should be transaction id which will provide accurate data regarding your problems. Since Bitwallet is a custodial wallet so most likely they have their system to accept bitcoin, who knows how much confirmation required to deposit on your account. As far as I know, they have a few bad reviews on Google Play Store. Few similar problems happen with them. You might put a review there about problems. Hope it will be solved soon.

Please lock your previous thread to avoid deletion.
4740  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Bitcoin True Plagiarized Whitepaper on: July 22, 2020, 03:39:19 PM
Seems immediate red flags here. I am not sure if the team (scammer) is stupid or they have been trying to make us stupid. Because use fake team and plagiarized whitepaper are an immediate scam alert. Most likely they just bought a template in $20 and start a project. Glad to see that our community is active enough to spot such as scammers and prevent users from scams. The OP should edit the title about "Fake Team", so it will be easier to realize what is inside the post.

Supported flags & tagged as well. OP & others who have reported about fake team done a great job. Keep it up guys, it's really appreciated.
