Now that is the unpopular opinion.

Not really. You'd be right at home in the P&S section of the forum. Or at a Trump rally for that matter.

New York doesn't have a "socialist healthcare system." They have the same healthcare system as all 49 other states: most people are privately insured, some are on medicare or medicaid, and the rest don't have any insurance. That's how it is across the entire country.

And this...

sorry about the thousands of deaths due to unemployment and job loss

What?
4722  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Project Covid-19 run by Lauda and her alt. !AVOID! on: May 09, 2020, 01:36:42 PM
Sorry bud but Owlcatz is right.

You're gonna have to provide a lot more proof (or just evidence even) if you want anybody to take you seriously.

There are a lot of random covid-19 crypto projects out there but I would much sooner trust a project led by these 3 individuals than any of the others I've seen.

- Seems to be fairly transparent looking through the Project Development thread
- You can't just say 2 accounts are alts and we should "check the archives" -- its your job to present the evidence to us, not ours to go hunt for it

Here's what really happened:

I would love to contribute to this project by offering my translation and guidance in Turkish.

I only have one condition. Once I complete the translation, Lauda will remove the unwarranted statement she left on my profile a long time ago.

Let's have a GOOD impact on the community as a whole.

Turkish ANN https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5246381
Thanks for the good wish. Your work has been listed here to honor you. I hope you have no obligation to be added there.

Cheers,

Since it's been more than 72 hours and my condition was not fulfilled - unwarranted statement was not removed, I am no longer supporting this campaign and I tell you what: I am against it. I will not continue to support your fradulent campaign Lauda and her alt Royse777.

I would say your chances of ever getting your feedback removed by Lauda just went down from slim to none.
4723  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: May 09, 2020, 11:54:22 AM
The court recently released the January deposition with Lynn Wright, Craig's first wife.

It's pretty dry, but there are some interesting parts. Probably the most interesting is that Craig told her he kept "some" bitcoin on MtGOX, which she believes was all of his bitcoin, based on the way he acted about GOX going under.

Quote
A: Well, he intimated that he had lost a lot of bitcoin when that Japanese company - when that guy in Japan, I think the - the bitcoin - I don't know if it was a bank or what sort of outfit it was, but he, I guess, absconded with all the money, and Craig had kept some of his - had - well, "some of it", I think he kept all of his bitcoin there...

Q. And what's your basis for your understanding that he kept a lot of his bitcoin there?

A. Because he said he lost a fair - lost a fair bit of money.

Seems a bit odd to me that Satoshi would keep his coins on MtGOX, whether it be "all" or just "some" of them. And that he would refer to whatever he had there as "a fair bit of money" (I read somewhere it was 50 BTC -- I know the data is out there but I don't have it in front of me).

Other takeaways:

- Neither Craig or Dave Kleiman once mentioned bitcoin in front of her while Dave was still alive
- In 2013, Craig asked her to write a paper explaining bitcoin to the Australian Tax Office
- In April 2015, Craig wanted her to attest to a statement saying she had known Craig and Dave had been working on bitcoin since 2009. Here was response:

She was questioned by the plaintiffs about it:

Quote
Q: And it says at the bottom: I do remember you working privately on Bitcoin and such well before 2009. Do you know what that statement is in reference to?

A. No.

Q. Okay. So you don't know what you were talking about in this email with Craig?

A. I don't remember it.

Q. And does the email refresh your recollection at all?

A. No... No, it confuses me more.

Q. Do you believe this email is forged?

MS MARKOE: Objection.

THE DEPONENT: I wouldn't - I don't know. I wouldn't - I wouldn't think it is, but I can't - I - I don't understand the time frame.

You can see all of her other email correspondence as evidence at the bottom of the court docket... This is the only one where words were typed below her signature... Hmm...

Faketoshi had about BTC50 on Gox. Yep, definitely sounds like a creator of BTC who owns BTC1MM

Thanks for sharing this, I'm reading the whole thing. It's kind of dry -- the part you mentioned seems to be some of the only interesting stuff.

Craig had kept some of his - had - well, "some of it", I think he kept all of his bitcoin there...

Again, doesn't sound like something Satoshi would do... keep all his bitcoin on MtGOX...

Although I didn't believe so much Legion won! The course for a pure victory was about 4.3 !

Final score 1:2 WIN AGAIN +++

I watched the entire thing, good job again. Wow, to have bet on Hard Legion to win outright was 8:1.

is this still ongoing?

Yes, thanks for asking. It is ongoing but simultaneously also on an indefinite hiatus. Kind of like work on my Master's degree.

You can also look this picture, it's clear @theymos ( one of legendary member ) didn't want to get merit

This picture is the most crazy one I saw, theymos was even against the merits but instead they all turned it to some sort of fun. I believe it was due to the anniversary celebration which there was no means to appreciate him rather than sending those Merits which he never wanted.

No no no... C'mon man, I already said that it was a joke. It didn't happen. The original post by theymos is here. Look at the merits. They are the same. I just edited the text in my browser.
4728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AZBI - Multichain system | Live staking on: May 08, 2020, 10:23:36 AM
hi, sir please explain why AZbi token will have the ability to access various external public blockchain? whether AZbi token is planning to create own blockchain

believe me they will not make their own blockchain because this project I think is suspicious even I feel scam proeject because they are like no intention of making a project and here are some of my suspicions:
1. They offer an unreasonable bounty allocation
2. They don't give a sequestration about "Whitepaper plagiarism" case
3. Their ICO don't run smoothly and their tokens are mostly just listings on small exchanges.

4. Their CEO is a wax sculpture.

I mean, c'mon, just look at this:

Whose ear connects to their head like this?

Obvious scam is obvious.
4729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 08, 2020, 07:43:42 AM
Every day he continues referring to Bitcoin as "Bitcoin Core" on his website is an opportunity to redeem himself squandered.
4730  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Is Trump right about blaming China for Covid19? on: May 08, 2020, 06:12:20 AM
Trump was praising both China and the WHO for months, up until the stock market crashed. Then he saw his chances for re-election start to dwindle and needed to pin the blame on somebody. It was only after the stock market dropped that he began to use the phrase "Chinese virus."

Here's a timeline of Trump's reverse in stance on the issue:

Jan 24th: "China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!"

Feb 10th: "Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away. I hope that's true. But we're doing great in our country. China, I spoke with President Xi, and they're working very, very hard. And I think it's going to all work out fine."

Feb 24th: "The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me!"

--- stock market plummets, U.S. covid cases surge --

March 16th: "My administration is recommending that all Americans, including the young and healthy, work to engage in schooling from home when possible. Avoid gathering in groups of more than 10 people. Avoid discretionary travel. And avoid eating and drinking at bars, restaurants and public food courts. If everyone makes this change or these critical changes and sacrifices now, we will rally together as one nation and we will defeat the virus. And we're going to have a big celebration all together. With several weeks of focused action, we can turn the corner and turn it quickly."

March 17th: "This is a pandemic. ... I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic."

March 18th: (Trump begins referring to covid-19 as "the Chinese Virus.")

April 7th: "The WHO really blew it. For some reason, funded largely by the United States, yet very China-centric."

So no, I don't think Trump is right. Nor is pushing for China to pay anybody anything. They have been trying to aid other countries struggling with the virus by sending them equipment and doctors on their own, for a number of months already.
4731  Economy / Reputation / Re: To all DT1 members, please reply on: May 08, 2020, 05:46:56 AM
Peloso has a fix idea that keeps him awake at night. Once Lauda tagged his trust. Since then, Peloso has been living the dream of revenge. This is actually a funny sight, Lauda himself does not suspect that someone hates him so much.
Peloso was on my trust list, but I finally realized that his desire to get into DT pursues only one specific goal - revenge. Anyone who somehow disagrees with him expects a stream of uncultured communication. This is actually the true face of this character. My tilde will stay with Peloso for a long time.

Thanks for explaining this -- I trust your judgment and thought it was a bit odd that you had him included, but figured there must be a good reason. Most (but not all) of his DT1 inclusions seem to be reciprocal back-scratching. By switching up his trust list so frequently, its obvious he is just looking for people who will reciprocate, so he can be firmly on DT1, so his neg against Lauda will stick. His plan was destined to fail from the start.

Does anyone even care about OPs thread commenting rules imbibed with double standards ?

Nice scene of your circus though. Call for a clown gang !

( Feel free to delete my post, no offence )

You saved yourself by saying "no offence" -- LOL. Even though you don't really mean it, TS would never say that. Regardless of all that, WTF are you even talking about? You're not in DT, yet here you are.

4732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IEM katowice csgo bets and analis // ESEA, ESL, Flashpoint and much more on: May 08, 2020, 05:22:33 AM
Congrats on another win.

Thanks, you can always help with the merit because the rank of jr.member is not good enough Smiley

Sure -- what I figure I can do is this:

For every bet you successfully call where the odds are between 2 - 3x, I will send you a merit. For every successful call between 3 - 5x, I'll send you two merits, all the way up until you have at least 10 merits, that is!

But I don't mean to change your behavior or post frequency -- just keep doing what you're doing. It's interesting to follow.
4733  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Waweplatform - Ponzi scheme on: May 07, 2020, 02:48:03 PM
Ok, What if you're wrong? Consider the consequences of this.
...
Not an ordinary investor like me, get information from https://medium.com/@waveplatformio https://waveplatform.io/storage/documents/roadmap.pdf
if there are inaccuracies, specify all. Let the neutral people examine.

Oh please. This is another cheeseball ERC20 token scam. There is nothing new or innovative being offered here -- its just a get rich quick scheme trying to sucker new investors in to pay the older ones.

You've never heard of the Waves Platform? You know, the multi-million dollar market cap coin that already has a DEX and doesn't rely on a MLM system to attract new investors?

From your project's roadmap:

Quote
Why will the marketing plan be discontinued?

The goal of the marketing system was to create a large community that would continue to exist beyond the end of the marketing plan. There is no script that makes it possible to implement a multi level marketing system in the blockchain. As with other major crypto currencies, we will focus primarily on the usability of WAVE. The development of the decentralized exchange will assist us in keeping the trading volume high.

How will our partners continue to benefit?

Our partners will be able to participate through the new script on direct partners. The script will be implemented in the blockchain through the Smart Contract and you will participate on a percentual basis from your direct partner’s payouts without reducing your partner’s staking performance.

This is 100% Ponzi garbage.

People are better off just buying and holding ETH, as that does everything that this token does, with the main difference being that ETH already has a degree of utility as a currency.
4734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig wright found to have plagiarized his PhD-not really a doctor of anything on: May 07, 2020, 01:37:48 PM
He was probably too busy inventing the future of the money to concentrate on school work.

Seems Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg had the same mindset.

Wright didn't get his PhD until 2017, 8 years after Satoshi launched Bitcoin. Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg weren't serial plagiarists.

Funny how this thread was moved to where it is it now. Not many will see it now since only people who have unresolved issues with others on the forum come in here. Embarrassed

LOL. That's funny and sad and true. Where was it before? Bitcoin Discussion? You could always move it back.

I think we have sufficient proof (code) that BSV is in fact the closest thing we have today to the original Bitcoin.

Seeing has how the BSV GitHub repository has 766 commits from Amaury Sechet (BCH dev) in it, I don't think that's true at all. You sure do defend Craig Wright and BSV pretty hard for someone who claims they don't like BSV or Craig Wright.
4735  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 07, 2020, 01:10:06 PM
What do y'all think, did I get scammed? I'll give the guy another 12 hours before I declare him as a scammer.
~snip~
He has been offline at Bitcointalk ever since I sent him the BTC. He seemed to have a lot of successful trades from some senior members around, that's why I went first in the trade.

So... what do y'all learn from this?

The BTC has already moved. It looks like you sent it straight to an exchange address. He hasn't been online since May 3rd... Not a good sign. Let me know if you need help opening a flag on him -- that will put the red "Warning: this person is a scammer" label at the top of all their threads.

His last post is a bit ominous:

At this point I should just write a book on how to scam and sell it to some of you idiots (I won't, this is just a joke).

What do you expect to gain from passive aggressively insulting squatz' intelligence?

I honestly think he's getting back at his father, who must have done a real number on him. But it's a step up from commissioning 12 year olds to draw cartoons of people he doesn't like with their dicks out and goats next to them.
