I lost 2.25 BTC when I switched from my old Android phone to an iPhone (2013 IIRC). I had forgotten it had some coins on it when I did a reset then sold it.

Wow. 2.25 BTC? So how much was it that time if converted to dollars. So how did you recover it? If you recover it then it cannot b really called lost. You are lucky Blazed. I hope you have spent your bitcoins wisely . Unlike me, I lost it all so easily. I put it on different gambling sites hoping that I will win but I didn't. But I have learned my lesson.

2.25btc is really a big amount to lose, i would never forget about it if i kept my bitcoins in my phone.
And putting your money in gambling sites is really a bad thing because gambling is not a place where you can earn profits with your capital, it is for having some fun at times you have nothing to pass your time with.
That's why you backup your phone to the cloud in case something bad happens, and always keep the recovery code for your wallet. I keep my Bitcoin in my phone, and even though I've used 3 phones, each of which suffered water damage, I was able to back it up and get my BTC back each time. Gambling can be profitable in the short term, but it will always get you negative profit as you're just trying to beat the house. The only time I ever gamble is when I need a bit of excitement for gaming, and that's pretty rare. In fact, gambling is the only way I've ever lost Bitcoin- and I've never felt too bad about it, since I only put about 5-10$ on the line each time, maybe once a month.

4724  Economy / Digital goods / Re: KINGZEE'S SHOP // SELLING ANY GAME ON STEAM // CSGO ITEMS & KEYS // DISCOUNTED on: August 03, 2016, 11:23:50 PM
Hello, I'm selling Steam funds to you for btc.

The price is -10% than Steam market, keys, cases, game gifts, anything you want to purchase.

If Steam CS:GO case key is sold at 2.50 on steam market, I will sell it to you for 2.25$ in btc. Google price.

You will go first if your account is less trusted than mine.

Here is my Steam account : http://steamcommunity.com/id/K1ngZee/

Post here what you want, and PM me your Steam account + Add me.

Thanks.

CS:GO key price is pretty steep. There are people selling keys for 1.95$ per key and even 1.90$. I'd suggest you lower the price if you're looking to sell csgo keys, just saying. Otherwise, good luck selling your stuff.

this is probably not going to happen to any of us, as there's probably 1/2 of the whole forum posting on there trying to get some of the illegal btc that's being given out, but we can only hope

Edit:
Didn't see the signature thing. Count me out.
4726  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC GIVEAWAY! From your friend rekcahxfb on: August 03, 2016, 03:24:41 PM
Lots of stupid people on bitcointalk I see. Within a few days Bitcointalk is gonna be hit with subpoenas and everyone who accepted coins is going to legally exposed.
If it's proven that the coins were in fact hacked and OP really gives them then whoever wins should give them back to the rightful owner.
We could try tracing the transaction if it hasn't already gone through a mixer, but it probably has, and whoever wins will probably be an alt account and will spend it of his/her own accord You can't really control this kind of stuff, you can only hope. I'll return the coins if I actually win, though, which is probably not going to happen. Funny thing is, the first few letters of the address is BFXSux; pretty sure this is actually from bitfinex or some other exchange, but i'm sure it's actually BFX.
4727  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC GIVEAWAY! From your friend rekcahxfb on: August 03, 2016, 03:21:46 PM
You all want stolen funds. How fuckin' pathetic you are. Suck him well  Shocked Roll Eyes
Smart, eh? Bitfinex hacker. This ain't ethereum though, so there won't be any BitcoinClassic or rollback of the funds. I doubt this kid even cares where this goes to, whoever gets the funds will be forever cursed. Not that it matters, there's probably about 300 alt accounts with their addresses in this thread trying to win. If I had the time i'd actually try tracing this transaction, but I bet this has already gone through a mixer.

4729  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] Looking to buy $10 Bitcoins on: August 03, 2016, 01:56:28 PM
The fact that people haven't even thought about the fact that this is in the wrong section and belongs in currency exchange is pretty sad. Moved. Anyways, being a newbie, it's going to be pretty hard to get anything at all, and you're going to get less than ideal exchange rates, especially with paypal, since it is reversible and chargebacks do happen. Try using another form of payment to get bitcoin in Currency Exchange, people charge huge premiums for just using paypal.

Edit- Successfully moved. Try looking around next time and posting in the correct section.

4731  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ Instant Bitcoin Doubler Signature Campaign ★★★ on: August 01, 2016, 09:07:54 PM
Well, I do not understand, Do you want people to participate in a signature campaign promoting ponzi scheme? Do you realize that you will not be able to pay the supposed investors much less get pay the alleged persons entering the signature campaign?

To promote his ponzi and get more people to invest in it, while at the same time ending his campaign early so nobody gets their supposed payment, and in the end getting free bitcoin from his 'clever' double -spend tactic. Simple if you ask me. Amaclin was also behind the malleability attack on BTC that happened a while ago. The code was released soon after. This just gets funnier and funnier the more you look into it.

His last doublespend was done with Blockchain.Info, and the transactions only showed up on BC.I and no other block explorers. I'll see if this is the case this time around, but it's pretty unlikely, and he probably has changed his code and tactic while still using BC.I. That Web wallet has so many holes. :/
4732  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Instant Bitcoin Doubler on: August 01, 2016, 07:59:31 PM
Are you a retard? Same copy of the double-spend 'doubler' in January 2016. Don't believe me? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1356016.msg13803449#msg13803449
Nearly a copy-paste. Please at least try next time you're scamming people. The only reason you're getting the payment is because the transaction will be double-spent. None of the btc will confirm, and you'll essentially get nothing.

https://blockchain.info/address/1aa5cmqmvQq8YQTEqcTmW7dfBNuFwgdCD
Notice how each of the transactions has 0 confirmations, and only the first transaction has confirmations. This kid is pretty daft.
4733  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ Instant Bitcoin Doubler Signature Campaign ★★★ on: August 01, 2016, 07:49:59 PM
You're the same retard who promoted a doubler that double-spent transactions, and has links to /r/buttcoin. LMAO I forgot nothing, kid. I fell for that shit. You also have -64 trust, have fun scamming people who join this campaign.

In fact, I'll pull up the thread for the pessimists. Just give me a few minutes and let me scroll back to that very thread, hmm?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1356016.msg13803449#msg13803449

In addition to all of this, the doubler he has in the Investor-based Games thread is a copy-paste of the original in January 2016. Not too inventive for a scammer. He also has started this doubler of his every few months; scroll through his post history, and you'll find them pretty quickly.

Lutpin has also posted below me warning you. You got it here first, Smiley
4734  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitminer.io real or scam? on: August 01, 2016, 04:46:12 PM
Cloud mining's way too risky; most of them are ponzis, and the chances of them are so damn high that you may as well be investing into a Ponzi, no matter how trustworthy they seem. 0.0006 BTC a day is such a small amount; there's better ways of making bitcoin than cloud mining, one of them being signature campaigns and offering your services in the services section. Many people have had negative experiences with cloud mining, and you should probably take that as a sign. Even offering loans is a better way of gaining bitcoin if you're trying to get some extra money, and it can be profitable even if people default on their loans.
4735  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go to US$800+ on: August 01, 2016, 04:41:21 PM
yes bitcoin going to increase its too much faster and i hope that bitcoin will be increase its price to $800+ in the end of 2016 and i think bitcoin never dropped its price .

I believe that the bitcoin price will reach $900 or more by the end of the year or early next year due to adoption.

It's hard to get to 800, especially if the clock is ticking at 650 at this moment.
There is a lot of sell pressure around 700 dollar, so don't count on a fast profit to 800. With the halving due it can take months.

It will just take some time to arrive at $800. I think it will take about 3 to 4 months of consolidation for it to reach $800.

That is true. I expect the bitcoin price to rise a lot after a long consolidation. That was happened early this year.

I think the bitcoin price could be between 900 to 1200 dollars by the end of the year. It might be even higher.
I really doubt it'll make it to 900 at the end of the year at this rate; there's not much demand, and if anything, the halving not raising the price of BTC also made people uneasy. It'll take quite a while to get to even 800 this time around, unless we have another spike like we just had, which is possible, but probably not going to happen. If it does, though, it'll just be another bubble that pops and brings the price back down. Volatility is a pretty big issue right now, and that's part of what's driving people out of bitcoin and discouraging them from investing or even just putting money in it.
4736  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain R1 - When is the chip going to be upgraded on: August 01, 2016, 04:34:16 PM
They should also let the user choose to mine in a pool, instead of forcing solo-mining.
There's software for that; Crazyguy's firmware allows you to use the 5 GH/S on a pool of your choice. I'll link it to you later if you're interested, but I don't really remember where it was located.
Pretty neat stuff, also fixed the U3 Zombie issue. It's not the best miner for its price anyways, and unless you're using the outdated U3 or the Gekko Compacs on them, it's worthless, at least to me.
4737  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain R1 - When is the chip going to be upgraded on: August 01, 2016, 04:31:33 PM
I doubt they'll ever make another rendition of anything even remotely close to the R1 ever again- the U3 was mainly discontinued, and the R1 wasn't ever too widely bought. IIRC there was something about Gekko compacs and U3s running on the R1, and the U3s wouldn't go zombie with some kind of software Crazyguy's firmware fixed all of those issues and also allowed the Gekkoscience Compac to run on the R1, pretty neat stuff! The R1 was a great idea on paper, but nobody really bought into it too much, and it'll just go into the trash with the U-series. Unless Bitmain makes another set of USB-based miners(which is unlikely, since the demand for those has generally shrunk to almost nothing, and it's a bit of a niche market), there's nearly no chance for an 'R2'.
4738  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Avalon 16nm miner to be for sale in this September on: August 01, 2016, 04:28:15 PM
Adjustable chip voltage and it will be a hit...

that would be the 4.1 design

yeah if it would go as low as .085 watts and as high as .12watts it would have real value

Not sure if Avalon could pull something like that off, but if the stats were at least close to that and had enough hashpower, it'd sell out pretty quick. Even the price'll be a factor this time around- will they sell it at a decent price, or only to bulk buyers? The 4.1 was a pretty nice miner with a good design; i'd like to have something like that back. Overall I just like Avalon. Smiley

4740  Economy / Services / Re: [HEATLedger] Signature Campaign - Full Members to Legendaries (CFNP) on: July 30, 2016, 10:13:29 AM
Payment received. Thank you. Is there an indication of how long this campaign will last?
If you read carefully, it notes in the second post that it will be safe to join as long as funds are available; there's only a total of .282 left in the HEAT address as of now, so unless it's refilled, it'll be a short one indeed. If this is the case and the HEAT address is not refilled, there'll be a partial payment most likely. It's a pretty costly campaign as well; it uses up nearly 1 whole btc in 3 weeks, so I'm not sure HEAT'S developers are looking for too long of a campaign.
