4721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reserveum: How to create Ideal Non-Inflated money? on: December 29, 2021, 07:17:01 PM
As far as I know bitcoin already fullfils this goal with its limited supply, not increasing the inflation by printing money like our governments do with their traditional fiat currencies.

I don't see how Reserveum could be more efficient than bitcoin on this matter. There are already thousands of altcoins in the crypto market, and most of them don't have any use at all. I would like to expect yours isn't one of them, although I'm pretty sure it is!  Lips sealed
Good for you - Bitcoin is limited in its creation volumes, indeed. It is this limited emission that makes Bitcoin such a rare good and pushes its market value up and up.

Market trading volumes of Bitcoin do not correlate to the volumes of economy. What defines ideal money is elastic supply - an ability to promptly grow and diminish in its volumes, depending on market demand. This is what Bitcoin lacks. Its creation volume is pre-defined and can not be changed.
Elastic supply means our money is under constant menace of manipulation by a central authority, that is very dangerous. I think the pre-defined supply feature of bitcoin is great. After all, when we start playing a game we don't want the rules to change at the middle of the match, just because player A or B is at an unfavorable position.
Bitcoin ensures the rules are the same, from the beginning to the end, for everyone and actually I could say that is one of the main reasons why it's pretty valuable and demanded right now.
4722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin upgraded my financial life on: December 29, 2021, 05:43:42 PM
Bitcoin and this forum in special, not only help us financially, but mostly important to improve our self-esteem, leading us to value ourselves as active individuals who have a real impact in our local societies, because that is how it feels when you achieve financial freedom, autonomy.

It's painful to not be able to pay for your own expenses, having to rely on someone else or on the government to do it for you. Glad bitcoin, through this forum, is empowering many people to get the control of their own lives, making their financial conditions better and better each new year, since bitcoin gives the perfect conditions for that on long run if you are a responsible worker and investor.
all that is only for those who are responsible for their investment and trading. with the discipline to apply knowledge with skills in performing performance. then it will all give financial freedom in our life.
those who just follow the trend will probably regret the investment he made. it becomes an investment that we can say is irresponsible. because it could be blamed on whoever pulled it into the crypto market.
however, the experience of all of us is an interesting process. I feel the financial improvement that I experienced. but it has also deteriorated in recent years in the crypto market. but I keep going through it all because it's a process I enjoy.
Why do you say the financial improvement you have experienced has been deteriorating in recent years in crypto market?

This year of 2021 has been great for bitcoin investors. Every holdings in bitcoin have rised in value considerably, with profit gains up to 100% for those who sold at the ATH moment, considering they started investing in January at 34,000$ price.

4724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you actually using/buying NFT's, and Gaming Tokens? on: December 28, 2021, 08:39:49 PM
I bought NFTs last year when I started playing Axie Infinity, so I had to make an investment buying 3 axies in order to start playing the game.

And after some time I joined Lost Relics and bought another NFT, an ingame bow, through Enjin platform. That wasn't entirely an investment because I also had a lot of fun playing the game and needed better equipments to advance further, completing another scenarios.

So far that is all... I would like to invest more, but I'm afraid of so many ponzi NFT "games" popping everywhere.

4726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk once again throwing shade at bitcoin on: December 27, 2021, 08:57:28 PM
I agree it's a mix of stupidity and manipulation, or maybe it's just that stupidity is his method to manipulate people efficiently.

Elon is wealthy and people get sympathetic to him due to the fact a rich guy says stupid things, so average internet users feel closer to him, having Elon as an idol or even a friend.

I believe everyone has already felt like this for a famous personality. The problem in this case is that there serious risks of losing money for those who have him in great esteem.
4727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest Gambling Win in 2021 on: December 27, 2021, 07:43:44 PM
People with the biggest profits aren't going to post that on a forum? If I ever won a lot of money myself, I would like to remain as anonymous as possible. Is it risky if people know that you have a lot of money or have won a lot of money. Maybe some players think differently, but that's my opinion. You sometimes see people who win the Jackpot in a casino and then they stand proudly in a photo.
That is actually true, most gamblers won't share their big wins for safety and privacy reasons. But there was one who shared it and called my attention weeks ago on this forum sub-board:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5375506.0

This gambler claimed to have made 550,000$ profit during a month time period! If it is really a legit story, it's indeed an insane achievement, and probably one of the most notable of 2021!
4728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Animal racing on: December 27, 2021, 05:57:48 PM
It depends on who is running the competitions and caring for the animals. There are people of all kinds in this world, so you can expect some animals will be very well treated, while others will have their basic needs neglected.

An exception to that are the fighting sports using animals. In this case all animals involved suffer, while many of them die during the process. In this case I'm fully against this kind of competition.
4729  Economy / Gambling / Re: Self-exclusion/ban who to be blame on: December 26, 2021, 11:38:59 PM
Of course the player should make sure there isn't any funds anymore on his account before asking for a self-exclusion. Technically casinos have no obligation in returning funds in this case, but I think it could be a point to be added to the called responsible gambling policies many platforms are adopting and evolving right now. I'm sure casinos who give some special attention to problem gamblers on this matter will stand out among competitors.

This way they show they care about customers, while not being greedy at all costs at same time.
4730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump Says Crypto Is 'Very Dangerous' ... but ... on: December 26, 2021, 08:02:05 PM
A week ago: https://news.bitcoin.com/donald-trump-crypto-very-dangerous-warns-of-explosion/

Donald Trump commented on cryptocurrency ... in an interview with Maria Bartiromo over the [last] weekend:
“What do you think about crypto?” Trump was asked. Bartiromo noted that “New York and Miami are really getting cryptocurrency into their financial systems.” The former U.S. president reiterated his anti-crypto stance: “Well, I never loved it because I like to have the dollar. I think the currency should be the dollar so I was never a big fan. But it’s spilling up bigger and bigger, and nobody is doing anything about it.”

Trump has never been a fan of crypto. In August, he predicted that cryptocurrencies are “a disaster waiting to happen.” In June, he called bitcoin a scam that needs heavy regulation.

... but ...

Melania Trump announced the launch of her own NFT platform as well as her first NFT “Melania’s Vision”. The platform is based on Solana ...   source
https://melaniatrump.com/nft

And Trump was also asked about the former first lady’s non-fungible token (NFT) endeavor: Commenting on his wife’s NFT plans, Trump said: “She’s going to do great …"

 Huh

I hope that he knows, that NFTs are on crypto blockchains.

That is so funny! Grin Grin Grin

In other words: do as I say, not as I do!

I do not know if you remember what happened in the run up to the election of Donald Trump? He was not against Bitcoin back then.. he even appointed people that was pro-Bitcoin back then.

So ask yourself ..What happened since then? Well the former first lady has announced the launch of her own NFT platform... so he might be trying to eliminate the competition? (or to reduce the support for Bitcoin from his supporters)  Roll Eyes
I remember that. It was in 2016, crypto market even reacted well to his victory and there was a lot of hope he could be one of the first world's leaders to start talking about bitcoin in a positive way.

But actually since before the launchment of his wife's NFT platform he is against bitcoin, so I think when he talked positively about the digital currency back in 2016 it was just part of his propaganda to endorse anything the establishment was against, in order to enforce his position as an outsider and savior of american people from the bureaucrats and the fake news media.
4731  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 26, 2021, 07:25:51 PM
I saw a new site recently for a similar kind of faucet idea minus gambling but with adverts as the idea for an overall business I guess.  The problem is you are taking a bigger bet if the newer site will carry on operating, if the site will really be a success enough for the operator to carry on.  Most of the time sites come and go, if they exist after a year often its just become part of somewhere else or they discontinue the various offers.   This site and other long term ventures have a better assurance in their longevity, if you get the referral its going to count for years (based on the quality of the signup, etc.), most places cant say this.
I've had some success with referrals but only short term offers, not this kind of deal unfortunately I've not got a larger following anywhere really.
The problem with fresh sites of this same kind is that they are replete of intrusive ads and pop ups, which may also contain malwares if the user clicks somewhere wrongly. Moreover the rewards are similar to the one offered by freebitco.in hourly, with the difference freebitco.in is a very clean, practical and friendly site.

What I most dislike about these alternative platforms is the fact they create internal tokens, so you have to accumulate some thousands or hundreds of thousands of those tokens to exchange for a few satoshis. They completely difficult the calculation of how much you are actually making by using the faucet to give a false illusion that worths the time and effort you invest on that.

On the other hand I could mention Cointiply as an exception to that rule, although their interest feature is inferior to Freebitco.in, as users' balances constantly fluctuates due to it not being in bitcoin for real, but in an internal token called simply "coin". When bitcoin loses value, you exchange your coins for more btcs, but when it rises in price, you get less of that from your coins.
4732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 26, 2021, 06:00:28 PM
It is possible that Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United. Despite his status as a free agent, the club is not interested in signing him. FC Real Madrid have no interest in signing Paul Pogba either. The club cannot afford the ridiculous salary he is receiving from Manchester United. His salary is too high for anyone to afford. He will have a hard time getting another club interested in him after Man United.
I think it's certain he is going to leave Manhester United. Since Real Madrid isn't interested on him, it was said he could return to Juventus, although there is a slight chance of happening due to the club not having financial conditions to pay for his expensive wage, so another option on the radar is PSG. But in my opinion Pogba will have to demand a more humble paycheck, because he isn't in excellent physical conditions to order too much from the clubs, at least in Serie A. There is also the possibility he is bluffing to value himself a bit more, like everyone does during a negotiation.
4733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To the Moon: Shitcoins are Ponzi Schemes on: December 26, 2021, 04:18:44 PM
I think ponzi schemes are very similiar to some shitcoins, because the intention behind the launchment of these coins is the same intention of a ponzi scheme operator.

The method employed isn't exactly the same, but besides the goal being the same there are many common aspects: misleading marketing, attractive referral programs (bounties, airdrops or initial staking for shitcoins), lack or false content of informations about the team behind the project...

And just like in any ponzi, shitcoins' developers can use the investment made by early investors to pump the coin and make it look promising for more investors around.

It became very clear with the scam shitcoin Squid, which went from almost 3000$ to nothing in 5 minutes. Furthermore, investors were not allowed to sell their coins when they wished. That was a manipulative intentional move of the developers.

So shitcoins look like refined ponzi schemes for the new generations which obviously wouldn't fall for the old model.
4734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be a gift for some persons on: December 26, 2021, 01:47:43 AM
I would so love to do that, but if and only if, those loved ones that I am planning to gift with Bitcoin do want it. Yes, this may be a way of intruding crypto to them, but without the interest and willingness to learn about it, I think that gifting Bitcoin with be just sold or exchanged, hence it will not serve its purpose to them. So, before doing that, I would identify first who among my loved ones want it.
You are right. If they see no point in bitcoin, it makes no sense to give it as gift to them. I have already thought about doing this, but concluded it's better to just use the bitcoins to purchase something they will really appreciate.

After all, bitcoin is a currency and usually we don't give money as gift in my house to the relatives and friends. A gift is a way to show you care for people and their demands. So to give money is a bit cold and rude.

it is not for all actually. because before you give it to them, as others have already pointed out, you need to orient them about securing the keys, password and the whole nine yards. not all will be ready on this but would be a good try. you will know if they are interested also on keeping some for themselves.
you will do the brief intro to them, it is not that you will give them a gift without discussing anything about crypto.
if you want to secure your gift, you know what subjects you need to share with them. youve been in this market for so long, you know what they will need as a beginner.
I understand what you mean and I could give them that kind of guidance without any problems, but I don't feel people around me would have legit interest in keeping and caring for their coins.

So in the end, besides my own wallets and investments to manage I would also have to manage the wallets of my family and friends, because they would say it's everything too complex and hard to learn and execute.

In fact they are just fine living without adopting bitcoin in their lives. That is actually a normal thing, since most people are at a confort zone which doesn't make them feel incentivized to try new things.
4735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIBA Fever on: December 25, 2021, 11:53:22 PM
The market has been flooded with SHIB fake projects and I hope people could find the right one, and not fall into this group of clone projects.
I can't really imagine seeing these numbers, 66? It is probably there are more to come in a few days from now. What I think is that we need to have some regulations to combat this kind of activities, were not making them fully stop but at least we are trying to minimize them and not to ruin the image of the market as this could lead to that particular once tolerated.

Even their is many shiba,Shiba inu is the unique one.You can inverse your money.Because the project accepted by many investors.Specially the new traders. But i had 10 million of shiba in my wallet over  months. But the price pumped after the shiba inu was sold.It make some disappointed to me and I had lost the chance of winning.
All of them are clones or copies of another concepts, including the one you mentioned as the original Shiba Inu, because it's a blatant attempt to take advantage of the Doge hype. As we can see Shiba developers even copy the dog logo from Doge and the pseudonym style of bitcoin creator, but instead of Satoshi, Shiba creator nickname is Ryoshi.

And now they plagiarize Binance and Uniswap as well. Cheesy

4737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 25, 2021, 10:16:41 PM
Thurman is a champion, it's just that he lose against Manny in a split decision, but he is coming back because he aims to be a champion again. In order to do that, he hs to fight the champions in his division and they are Spence, Ugas, and Crawford. I heard that they are cooking a big fight for Thurman, probably that would happen after this fight and it's expected that Thurman will win the fight.
Yes, he was a champion but still he must earn it again and winning on this fight is a big thing. If there’s a rumor about having a big fight after this match then I can assume that they are confident that Thurman will win, that’s quiet suspicious to me. Well, Barrios is also eager to win and would not let his reputation to be ruined again easily, he will fight for this.
It's also suspicious to me, because I don't see any reason to be so confident in Thurman since he hasn't played anymore since 2019 and also considering he is going to play against a strong adversary who is active in boxing scenario, helding the superlight title from 2019 to 2021.

Both of them are in similar situations, so I think there are no favorites on this fight. In this case it might worth to bet on the underdog if the odds look interesting.

i have been using freebitco.in since like 2015 and i have about 650 referrals which they were so active and i gained a lot of points. back then  i was using the points to boost the free rolls up to 1000% with the free 100 points for each roll. its been like a year i didn't enter again to my account and now when i checked i found many differences like the free points roll are disappeared and the bonus got cheap to activate. also a new fun bonus tokens has been added.
i have a lot of points so which is the best to use those points for better profit rather than exchange them directly to bitcoin. any advice?
Exchange your RPs for bitcoin directly once you hit 100,000 RPs balance. That is the best you can do and the safest path to take. Another alternatives are 1000% extra bitcoin on every roll and 5 extra Wheel of Fortune spins on every roll, but you need to be really lucky to make profit from it, what means there are serious chances you are going to lose money by purchasing those bonus, while also wasting time, because you need to be active on the site every hour to make the claims.
Well back in time wheni was so active and using my computer for long hours i use to activate only the boot bonus of 1000% bitcoin. And i was rolling about 15 to 18 times a day and i was getting more profits than exchanging the points straight to bitcoin because in that time 0.001 worth no more than 15$ and they were offering more than 0.001 for each 100,000 RPs. So i will try the bonus first for a couple of days and see how it works.
If you activate the bonus you will earn from 660 to 792 satoshis daily claiming the number of hours you mentioned (base reward). I'm not at my desktop now, but as far as I remember the 1000% bonus costs almost 800 satoshis, what means you will claim all day long (literally) to earn the same amount of satoshis you used to activate the bonus.

In my opinion it doesn't make sense, but you can try anyway and good luck!

The only chance to make it worth is by being lucky in order to hit the higher rewards. That is rare to happen, though.

4740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: December 24, 2021, 11:07:19 PM
It would be much more worthful and interesting if they picked movies from the 90's and 2000's which weren't awarded appropriately back then due to the large number of precious gems on those times, and remade an oscar with those titles. Those were good, legit and spontaneous times when movies could portray the real views of the directors and from the public, without any retaliation fears from the enlighted critics' elite who are also adepts of the most envious, ranging and morbid ideologies of the world. I miss the times when movies' goal was to entertain and/or enchant the audience and not brainwash or put political garbage inside their heads.

If there were a movie which inspired me I would risk a guess, but I can't do this right now since all movies look lukewarm to me.
