Even if she did not go out for three weeks, it may be possible that someone may have visited her house and that person might be effected by virus. Well, many people do come to our house like a Newspaper man, a milkman and sometimes a gardener. So it is not only you stop going outside but also keep a strong eye on who is coming to your home.

But more than likely the tests are flawed or fraudulent.     Cool

That is another dilemma of this virus outbreak. We have false media reporting, the testing kits are faulty, hospitals capactity is not enough and no vaccine could be developed the medicine scientists.

Are we living in 2020 or 1918 ?

People have been going to movies for quite some time. Even the most serious and highly intelligent people watch a movie once in a while.

Everybody knows that movies are made by actors. Everybody knows that even if a movies is a documentary, it is at least a little off regarding what actually happened, and what the real scenes of the real happening looked like. Everybody except the little children knows this.

But movies look so realistic these days, that there is a part of the brain that accepts them as real, even though the movie-goer knows that they are not real. And the more movies anyone watches, the more that certain brain part is strengthened. People don't even know what is real any longer... at least not until it steps out and bites them, personally.

There are so many discrepancies to the Coronavirus story, that anybody who has his head screwed on, will be highly inclined to think that it is a big fat hoax.

So, let's see some real proof... proof that is not assumed proof... proof that is not movie proof. I mean, they can show all the dead bodies they want in videos, just like they can in movies.

Cool

If all this is an Hoax and a movie planned for some whatever reasons, who is the one who is getting benefit from it ?
Also if this is planned, the you can't take the credit from the planner for its perfect execution.

I have some problems when my phone rings or when I receive one of the hundred notifications of the day, but unfortunately I can`t turn off my phone for example because I have old granparents and parents and I have to answer a call if they need, this is my only worry
It's very good to turn off the devices, the smartphones are becoming a huge problem in our lives and we are totally controlled by social medias, news, apps etc

All these should be tested in normal days. These days when we are all being stuck at home in some way or the other and going out is dangerous and not allowed in some places, the mobiles and TV are our only friends and thinking  life without them would be a nightmare. I agree, which should minimize the use of these things, but not at the present time.

4728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which will do better in this Economic Crisis ??? BITCOIN or GOLD ??? on: April 12, 2020, 07:59:36 AM
I still believe in Bitcoin and I still think it is far better than Gold.

If we compare Bitcoin with Gold for the last ten years the price growth of Bitcoin is way much higher than Gold. It is still too early to compare Bitcoin it with Gold as it has been only 10 years.

Since this is a bitcoin forum, so many people will vote for the bitcoin. I am not saying this is wrong but gold is more stable of the two. Bitcoin still have some risk in the economic crisis but gold is the risk free investment in every situation. You may not get much profit if you invest in gold, but at the same the chances of losing your money in gold is also very less.

What do you guys think about this? I don't think this is possible, not until now. I'm still out of words for this news.
It's not a new idea. There are couple of services which offer cryptocurrency transfer through sms. In addition, Venezuela has always been a crypto friendly space. However, good to see this because it will be now more easier to send crypto.

Even in the US you can transfer cryptocurrency transfer sms using Lite.im.

A few days ago I saw in the news that the government has now banned the hospital from running a fever These are usually due to weather changes But if such a problem arises the doctor will reach out to the patient. But I think this lockdown won't last long The number of patients infected with coronavirus has decreased.

Only in china the number of cases has decreased. In rest of the world, the numbers are increasing every day. Do you have any stats to proof that number of infected cases are being decreased everyday ?  Different countries will have different approaches as when they feel ending the lockdown. I hope they take better decisions in the benefit of the public.
4731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: April 12, 2020, 06:17:09 AM
Coronavirus is one of the worst nightmares we ever had.
But this COVID-19 is an eye-opener for many people. If those on the list will do their best to perform on this pandemic that is a plus factor for them.
I think Trump is not doing the best on this. that is the effect on this one.

Apart from this, since everything is being postponed, do you think that US Presidential Election 2020 will also be postponed to next year and not held this year because of COVID-19. Gathering are not allowed and therefore i don't think this is the right atmosphere for the elections.

4733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: April 12, 2020, 05:13:21 AM
While watching a streamer of their gambling bets they showed a site where they had lines for something to do with it. Embarrassed
I was appalled when I saw one of these sportsbetting sites were having odds on the covid19 virus.
I didnt see the details of the bet but it couldnt have been good. Undecided
They should lose their license if they are putting lines up for this as it not a joke or something to bet on.

What was in it to bet on the covid-19 ? If they are betting on how many people will be effected by Covid-19 then this is  very bad behavior and they should be ban immediately or given a warning at least. I heard that there are a betting going at a local bookie on the date the lockdown will be lifted in our country. We should avoid such types of bets and when no one will be willing to bet the bookies will themselves abadon such bets.
4734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: April 11, 2020, 06:41:16 PM
I don't know one by one of the candidates, but I wish Trump will not win in the next election because if he still wins, I cannot imagine what will happen with the USA and the other country. I wish that someone from the candidate's list can replace Trump's position, and he/she can be a good President for the USA, and he has a good knowledge to control everything in his government.

Do you know which site I can bet on the election using DAI/ETH, which doesn't require KYC?

Yes, you can bet on freebitco.in.  More information can be found on their site or on their ANN Thread.

With Joe Biden looking like the presumptive Democratic nominee for the US Presidential Election, we are looking at Trump vs. Biden in November.

58% of the bets are on Trump to take the Presidency again, leaving Joe Biden with odds of 5.99, making him a lucrative choice to win a big chunk of the 3 BTC prize pool.

This prize pool will only grow until November, so get your bets in now!

Yesterday and accidentally clicked ad and was redirected to this website, which looks same like Freebitco.in and they claim that they are using script ''from Freebitco.in adminn''.

I don't know is they are legit or no, but it doesn't looks good. I think many people may think that this website is officially affiliated with Freebitco.in.

They can also use this site to get the username and passwords of FreeBitco.in. We never know on which social media group they might be claiming it to be freebitco partner site and people without knowing can put their password on the identical site and hence get hacked. Just be sure to double check the url when accessing freebitco.
4736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you use for gambling frequently? on: April 11, 2020, 07:27:17 AM
Everyone who had gambled online using cryptocurrency would have always started with Bitcoin. As it is widely accepted than any other cryptocurrencies. I also did the same but slowly Bitcoin casino started adding other cryptocurrencies like tron, ripple, Ethereum BCH and dogecoin.

I found this fascinating and started using doge and tron for a change. There are many plus point on using other cryptocurrencies and one of the major one is that it does not hurt your pocket as much as it did with Bitcoin.

With the passage of time, the gambling industry will start to accept more cryptocurrencies and more altcoins as the crypto becomes more popular and legalized. Currently we do not have much options to choose other than bitcoins and few other altcoins. I think in future we might see top 20 altcoins being listed on most of gambling sites too.
4737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I realise Coronavirus is not a reason why on: April 10, 2020, 06:47:21 PM
I don't quite understand what your point is. You say in the title that Coronavirus is not the reason but in the OP you mention that the price went down when people started to panic due to Corona.

Anyway, there would have been many factors as to why the price of bitcoin went down but we can see now that the situation is getting better daily.
The price of bitcoin has been recovering recently is at $7300 now. This is a good sign in such a bad condition throughout the world.

The virus is not the direct cause of the drop in prices. The real reason is the economic cuts and shutting down the borders buy the governments.

The world economy was hit greatly because most things are manufactured in China. If you cannot run production there are shortages and you could be facing bankruptcy. That's why people started selling stocks of companies they were afraid could go bankrupt and this made Bitcoin crash because people saw the stock market falling and sold all their investments without thinking.

When the whole world's economy is down, all the stocks markets are crashing, Gold, silver and oil are at their lowest rates, then how can bitcoin remain stable or move upwards. Bitcoin is also dumping because of all these world crisis, but I think the bitcoin dump is not as much severe as other markets and stocks.
4738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Corona virus exploited by some scammers on: April 10, 2020, 06:10:10 PM
It's not a surprise, scamers and criminals always misuse situations like this and try to get financial gain for themselves. It's an ideal opportunity when people are vulnerable and fall easy for such attempts. That is why education and awareness is very important, that is the only way to protect people from becoming a victims.

I just feel sad about such people who scam people even in these circumstances. Don't they have any fear that they could also have this virus ? What can be more worse than to hurt people when they are already in deep trouble by the coronavirus. They should be bought in the court of law, if anyone knows their identity.
4739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 10, 2020, 01:11:47 PM
Casinos and other non-essential businesses were temporarily closed due to the virus spreading the word. We often think about gambling businesses having no income, and the decrease of the stock market. But we're forgetting about their employees who get no job and salary in the current situation.

Casino workers in Las Vegas showed their disappointment and anger towards their employers who failed to help and provide them what they need. Famous Las Vegas Strip of glitzy hotels and casino is closed due to lockdown, and thousands of their employees were left with no work and income. However, some casinos were able to support their workers and offered them a two-week salary, others gave four, while some gave nothing.

Quote
"This is not going to sustain us — we need to feed our families, we need to put food on the table, we have bills mounting up,” said Debra Jeffries, a cocktail waitress for four decades at a major Strip casino.

Las Vegas has more than 40 million visitors every year and it is known for casinos. According to the American Gaming Association, if all casinos in the US will continue to be closed until mid-May, including nearby restaurants and bars, $43.5 billion in economic activity will lose.

The treasurer-secretary of the giant Las Vegas-based Culinary Union, Geoconda Arguello-Kline called giant operating casinos to do their responsibility in the community.

Quote
“We feel the casino industry right now, they left their workers alone… it’s a very painful situation,” said Arguello-Kline.

Although it's awful that some successful casino owners and management forget to protect and help their employees who helped them to become successful, some casino owners were able to send help and give their employees the salary they need. Perhaps they don't care about their employees' financial struggle because they have a lot of money, and they can survive the whole lockdown with that money.

It's their responsibility to give them a salary even if the business is closed. They should be prepared in times like this, and for sure they have an emergency fund to provide their employees. It's only a simple sacrifice for the employees who have been working for them every day.

This only concludes how important to have a savings so we can prepare to this kind of scenario and for the workers, I cannot blame them if they are asking their employers for a salary because they need money right now in order to buy food and etc. just to survive in this type of situation.

In our country, the government are asking for employers to pay their employee a one month salary during the lock down and this is to help the employee in surviving the lock down. If the government in Las Vegas will do the same then it can surely help the employee to get their salary but if not the employee will have to wait for their employers whether they are kind enough to give some money to their affected employee.

The casino earns a lot throughout the year. Infact running a casino is one of the most popular business out there which give you very good returns. So in these hard times, it is the moral duty of the casino owners to pay their workers. I know casino are closed and they got no revenue this month, but they can give still give salaries to their employees from their own pocket.

This may not be the right board to discuss this but I wanted to make you guys beware of what I went through, a few days ago. I was actually sick a lot due to which I couldn't come up with this to you quickly, but I downloaded a cracked version of Quick heal Total security and did exactly as that guy told me. Nothing happened to Quick heal and its trial just expired, what happened ahead was more shocking. I lost my BTC as my laptop got hacked and I had my seed stored in it somewhere. I would urge you not to save your seed and not even your private key inside a PC that goes online by getting connected to the internet daily. If you have a spare PC and have a highly secured OS installed, then only keep these things in it and always let it remain offline. Though, I would not ask you even to do that and just write down these things on a paper and keep it in a safe place, or buy some hardware that can store your BTC or a hardware material which can store your paper wallet.

There are few questions which come to my mind.

Do you think the malware was in the cracked version of Quick heal which stole your private key or the instructions you followed by the guy?

How did you know your computer got hacked ? Did you give remote control of your system to that guy ? I mean there may be some other reason of your bitcoin lost.
