4721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spend or HODL Bitcoin during COVID-19? on: November 06, 2020, 01:58:09 PM
I can't promise to keep my holding intact in the current situation we have now. Spending can't be avoided as we need money sometimes. I can't see what is the wisest thing to do but it depends on the situation we have to encounter. As the price of bitcoin keeps moving high the more I'm become tempted to sell it, in fact, I did some because I need money.

The point about holding does not mean we are supposed to hold it longer, 5 years, 10 years. I surely sell them all if I'm already satisfied with my returns, but for now, I have to save some as the pandemic isn't over yet.
4722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: November 06, 2020, 11:31:16 AM
At some point yes it affect my gameplay especially my bankroll due to the price rise of the Bitcoin the transaction was also increased and in other words my bankroll was also reduced due to withdrawal and deposit of my Bitcoin to the gambling website but in terms of gameplay I still play the same way and there's no huge changes in my game style.
Gamblers will still keep gambling no matter how much is the price of Bitcoin, but we can't deny also that some will tend to limit their fund to gambling due to the fees increase. yeah, it possible the volume of gamblers will be lowered down and affects the bankroll. If the situation will keep rolling high, I'm in no doubt that more gamblers will stop gambling just to save the fees and wait for the price to dump especially for casual gamblers.
4723  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the Best Time to sell ? on: November 06, 2020, 10:12:16 AM
It just depends on you. The prices of almost everything in the world go up and down. The price of anything is not stable. You can hold on if the price is currently low. Or you can sell if you think the price will go down further in the future. If you need money right now, you can sell it. Moreover, hold if not needed. I personally think its price will increase in the future
If you already need the money then sell, otherwise keep holding. There's a perfect time on when to buy and take profit.

Also it depends what coins are you currently hold, because each coins are different. Buy in dip and sell when the price is acceptable for you to sell already.
I'm not sure until when such holding will take especially when you are seeing that the price is already high, sounds tempting right? If I buy Bitcoin at $10k, definitely I have to sell it now even though I don't need the money. The honest thing here is that every opportunity must have not to ignore because I'm doubtful if none of us now had already profited.

I can remember how many had lost such a chance last 2017, most of us expect more, we are not yet contented with $20k and still holding. I was just assuming the same scenario will happen after this and selling is the best option by now.
4724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger owners lose 1.1 million XRP!! on: November 06, 2020, 09:29:54 AM
This is huge asset of Xrp in a ledger wallet which many users use this kind of wallet. This is very important not to click any links connected to your email as this may be the reasons of scam attacked. When it comes to emails I have different account of email to avoid this kind of scenario. I can't imagine losing million of coins that you save in a wallet so we must be cautious.
I hope you don't mind but this is not about the Ledger Wallet itself, as I understand with the situation it was the fault of the owner might accidentally send his XRP to the others with the use of a phishing site. Even if we use separate email accounts but can't sometimes be neglected scammers/hackers will tend to track you, the time that they see a leak on your account that's the time that they will put you in compromise.

To have this kind of incident, everyone could be cautious, not because you have a strong password, 2FA, or anything that involves security but the most important is to double-check the sites that we are using, mostly many have been tricked to this.
4725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has it occurred? Or still in progress on: November 06, 2020, 04:21:00 AM
Not yet done, the development still continues, and worth waiting.
If Satoshi has been said that probably he'll have a reason but I won't think that He will good to say that we are already reaching the final stage. That being hopeless and people will show less interest in this if people know about that.

We're about to neglect that information, Bitcoin will continue to rally as the adoption got strengthen. We'll not hopeless either to think that sooner or later, Bitcoin will be considered as a global currency and we live that possibility.
4726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store? on: November 06, 2020, 03:50:53 AM
I'm considering to possibly add Bitcoin and other altcoins as a way to pay for goods purchased on my online store.

Is this a good idea? Are there any risks (other than the volatility)?

Is anyone really going to use this?

I'm afraid that my customers may not be much into cryptos, but I guess that it's hard to tell until you try ...
I also have some doubts on the technical side.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance
If you think yourself capable enough to manage online payments, this is the best idea since most of us now are using online platforms for faster and easier transactions. Don't let make yourself behind but instead, have it boost bring to the highest level where most companies, small establishments are open such a thing. But, we should be more careful, hacking is inevitable, just to makes sure that everything is well prepared and funds/wallets are stored securely. And in regards to the technical side, better to ask someone will do a favor or using a known 3rd party services.
4727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 is launched on: November 05, 2020, 11:40:31 PM

Here's the image progress of the Eth2 of Ethereum.
Eth2 deposit contract already launches, which that is the etherscan link OP shared.
For me, this will take ages to finally done, especially the deposit contract launch. As you can see here: https://launchpad.ethereum.org/
524,288 ETH and 16,384 validators to launch the mainnet. We are still far from here, but it's ok. This kind of feature of Ethereum really takes time, I understand how complex and complicated Ethereum 2.0 is, we are still a lot of time to fill our bags, lol.
How long have to wait for their final launch? Maybe I have to give up waiting for that moment to come.
They are planning to launch it last year but it moves again and again. Seeing those requirements, I'd likely to tell myself not to expect that than better to surprise.

Anyway, that was helping either Bitcoin to build an uptrend motion. ETH just gave it up and the rest of the altcoins which gives away for Bitcoin to continuously moving high and high. I hope just altcoins can still recover and be on the bullish again.
4728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 10 Lottery Winner Losers on: November 05, 2020, 10:49:41 PM
The common reason what they got stuck living millionaire and ended up nothing is that because they overspend their money in gambling chasing back to hit the jackpot again. I've also heard the same story, he overspends his money, do hangouts everyday, buying unnecessary stuff. Well, he has the money anyway but the problem is that he never knows how to spend his money wisely in order to stay in his hands, and sadly he notices that it is already been run out for that very short and even sell all of his stuff and house due to addiction and desperation.
4729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 05, 2020, 10:17:03 PM
There are no perfect gamblers, no matter how good we analyze the match, you will definitely have experienced losing money in sports betting.
And interestingly everyone must have a different reason why they can lose money in sports betting. For me who makes losing money in sports
betting because of playing multi bets too often, sometimes I force bets on some matches that don't do research first. It turned out that the
consequences were fatal, I have experienced several losses by choosing the wrong team for betting.
We put our bet because we believe them, but of course, we can't assure also that they will win. Isn't about choosing the wrong team causes our losses (could be that possible as well) but because they are not lucky enough to win the game, that even they are good but still not all the time they will win the same as what will happen to the gambler. No matter how good you are in choosing, analyzing but it was not the ticket that we are 100% winning, yet losing still there.
4730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another project down or just too cautious? on: November 05, 2020, 02:06:25 PM
You don't need to wonder that because that it seems to be normal today and upcoming. In fact, this is not new to us, everyone knows what probably will happen to new projects today either be abandoned by the developers and just a scam project. We can't simply put huge expectations on them, though it looks promising as we thought but, in the end, they just slowing down to die soon.

We don't just be cautious in investing them but much better if we don't have to try or seeing interest in them. They've got no purpose and surely they all have gone like the others before.
4731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The main driving force behind bitcoin rally on: November 05, 2020, 01:43:22 PM
We can't just disregard mass adoption because the pandemic leads a way to make such a thing more reliable and accessible to the people. People changing their lifestyle and adopting a cashless payment system where Bitcoin had to be known at this time. The bullish trend for Bitcoin means that more people, more investors are having a good time buying Bitcoin. It was then noticed that altcoins suffer big losses, this probably means that most investors are moving back to Bitcoin leaving altcoins behind.
4732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do not trade Alts with BTC these days, You will just lose on: November 05, 2020, 01:40:57 AM
I'll be buying potential altcoins today than Bitcoin. I don't think it was a loose end for me knowing that Bitcoin's price will surely keep its momentum forever. Dumps are still inevitable and that possible for Bitcoin to dump in the coming days making the altcoins surge high back again. I was not really hopeless about that, even I see Bitcoin is more profitable and preferred for trading but we need also to be more practical because not all the time that Bitcoin worth like the same thing with Altcoins.

As many say's, it depends on how we approach the market and work on our trades.
4733  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot Trading vs Margin Trading - Which is the best Strategy? on: November 04, 2020, 01:04:04 PM
Sorry, but this is not the proper board for this thread.
You may move this to Trading Discussion https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=8.0

Anyway,
That sounds interesting OP. This is a big help for new traders to have a clear direction and have enough understanding of trading both Spot and Margin Trading. Risk can be manageable enough if we know how to adjust and handle the hard situation in trading. Some traders did quit because they don't find themselves fully aware of what will happens next. And they don't know a certain trading strategy suited to them.

4734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbooks often offer different odds for the same type of bet on: November 04, 2020, 12:13:46 PM
Just new to this "Double Chance" betting option because usually, most bookies offer only a DRAW stance. And it regards to refund system, I don't think that they refund the whole amount you bet if ever the result is DRAW.

I've found simple calculations in regard to this situation

https://www.pinnacle.com/en/betting-articles/Betting-Strategy/How-to-Calculate-Double-Chance-stakes-and-odds/7RX2XRRAWGLBXD8V

I've found this very helpful and have it made easy as some examples make clear to understand. I hope this will help others as well.
4735  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good time to buy Bitcoin ? on: November 04, 2020, 09:59:50 AM
Hello guys do you think now is a good time to buy bitcoin for trading in cryptocurrencies not for holding it
because the current price looks too high for me (13500$) but im affraid that if i wait it will go more higher to 16k-20k
do you think BTC can fall again at least to 9000$-10000$ or that's not gonna happen and i need to buy it at this price ?
If I tell you that this is not a good time to buy Bitcoin, does it matters to you?
That because you are afraid, you are also not sure if you want to invest and face the risk. There are various factors that help you to fill your doubts and maybe decided not to invest now.

try to check its market trend, try to consider what happens when the price surging high. Dumps have something to see after. Buying Bitcoin this time is not really good but of course, it also depends on your discretion.
4736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New way to cheat with Bitcoin! be careful on: November 04, 2020, 09:34:29 AM
Not a new way to scam people. Taking advantage of peoples greed has been one of the prime way to scam people. I still don't get it. How come people still fall for scams like this? How do they expect that they will get "400% return" within a short period of time? I know there are people who knows it is a scam but still gives it a shot in order to see if they get lucky (which they shouldn't since all they are doing is giving scammers a hope), but then there are people who actually thinks it is real. They deserve to get scammed for their stupidity. Being a bit harsh over here, but at least they will learn a lesson and be more careful next time!
Have someone to learn but too sad that they will need to suffer such a thing before they realized how stupid they thinking about quick-rich investment. May this is somewhat in common but the problem is that people are still naive to listen to what others have said. Either believe me but we can't deny and surely scamming is a way to be normal and therefore, we consider this as a part of our life. Saving ourselves is so easy but that different to save others especially when they live in greediness.
4737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrowed very important for bounty? on: November 03, 2020, 09:00:15 PM
Giving the funds to the escrow doesn't mean that you will get reward on bounty hunting.
Yes there is a higher chance that you will get the token when using escrow but are you sure that it will have value in the end??

Probably there are some bounty campaigns that used an escrow but when I'm in bounty hunting, I didn't participate in any campaigns that has an escrow as they are refusing on it. Maybe there are some today that are using escrow but after all, it doesn't change the fact that it will either you gain money or you will not.
I have this experience. The participants receieve the rewards but the promblem is that the team never had the interest to get listed to other exchanges instead of relying and waiting for their own project/exchanges to launch. So disappointing because for how many years that been waiting but still no good news to heard from them and they are not really active on the telegram, not even they give some updates in regards to the project development.

Thus, escrowed gives only the assurance that we can surely receive the rewards but not the assurance to getb listed to an exchanges.

I think the result is certain. It is also time for America to be controlled and leaded by another person. trump messed it up and was not the right person to lead the country. Made more enemies than friends.
We can say more on speculations but let see how the election's going on and wait for the result.
I'm not seeing that Trump takes the lead base on the betting odds. Gamblers are betting Bedin to win or Trump to lose. I actually have to put my bet to Trump, not because he is good but because we are practically in betting. lol

But the time has come to an end that eople had to decide who want to be their leader. I hope there is no cheating happens as it warns and to make the election's results more reliable than full of doubts.
4739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Nordine Oubaali vs. Nonito Donaire - December 12 on: November 03, 2020, 12:37:37 PM
The number of fights, KO's, experience, and reach. All these aspects brought Nonito to have a higher chance to take the belt. Nonito becomes the favorite boxer between the two but if even he wins and fights back again against Inoue, I'd rather have to choose Inoue instead.

Both of them have impressive fight records, a better choice for Oubaali to fight Nonito who also eager to win the fight and take revenge on Inoue. This fight will give more benefits to Oubaali as additional experience but as a usual thing, he shouldn't have to expect about winning because we know and he knows also what Nonito can do inside the ring.
4740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we stop bitcoin scammers? on: November 03, 2020, 11:59:24 AM
How can we stop Bitcoin scammers?

The answer is "IF THE TIME THAT ALL OF US  DON'T BELIEVE LIES" behind attractive propaganda and tempting offerings. Mostly this is the reason why people got into the trap of scammers because of money, greediness, wanting instant rich which is truly impossible to happen. That sad thing is that most of us never think about it first but they just realized it after being scammed.

If we don't let these people make us fool or have to help the community aware of it. Nothing could help but just ourselves and we don't live that ignorance even though it is very clear to see that this is a scam trick.
