4741  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hits Record $48.2K on: February 22, 2021, 12:31:01 AM
See if we break past any of the recent action to retrace back into this area.   A pullback is reasonable considering the rate of gains that's occurred.

Lower is 2 day average, its really not even bearish to push past this.  I want to see it test the weekly average and then how does action occur then.    That'd get us to about 52k and we can confirm this ATH prior action as  a low and it makes the market more bullish not to just go straight up without checking back, its something a bit ironic and throws some off.
4742  Economy / Speculation / Re: next Bitcoin price correction WHEN? on: February 21, 2021, 11:57:08 PM
The  price was correcting from Jan start to 27th Feb and then we've broken up since then.  Right now there is no real clue to any weakness in the price especially with bullish news such as Canada ETF for Bitcoin starting.    Of course actual usage of BTC counts more but for now there is plenty of speculation and buying to fuel the prices and bullish perception.
4743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 21, 2021, 02:48:35 PM
Rare occasion for me in that I bet just the favourites today where as normally I just go underdogs of some kind.  Maybe I add something during game, sometimes a team is cold start stall and sits there like wet fish dying for 6 rounds or so then wakes up bites their heads off like Jaws  Tongue     Navi and Astralis to win out, odds arent terrible but the bet I saw which makes fair bit of sense is Navi 2-1 beat over Liquid which yields odds over 3.   I would go 3 maps anyway but thats a reasonable bet to place rather then just Navi.    Liquid to win betting that same way is 5x or 6x if you want to say Navi win no map.   It is possible and even worth a long shot at those odds, Fallen was doing excellent work when I saw him in game but I dont think overall the team effect is there for me to go that way.
4744  Economy / Speculation / Re: Apple is buying Bitcoin on: February 21, 2021, 12:33:37 PM
Apple has its own unique system of payments and they paid alot of money to get it working and own it outright I believe.   I read a story about two now very rich Irish twins who invented the backend for the Apple pay system.   It'd be good for someone to double check that, I could just be remembering wrongly but I doubt Apple is wanting to now use crypto instead especially.   Elon Musk is a pretty unique figure in the world, nobody quite like him and I like him but there's not many like this guy and in such control to make such a large leap on such a scale also.
250k is the final price target for every major company to hold 10% of spare cash in crypto, thats the figure I just heard from ARK head strategist apparently.   I do imagine we take longer then this to advance this much but Im always too neutral tbh
4745  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic II on: February 21, 2021, 09:55:13 AM
Panic is admirable if timed perfect and in transition counter balanced by an equal amount of excessive greed just as the price finishes its fairly brief sell, which is normally the pattern of a market rising fast but with profit taking by speculators.

Action I have recently is within bounds and reasonable overall, my main regret is I look away for a minute and its mostly finished.   Right now its doing the normal deal of wavering around a 12hr average, rapid bullish momentum still would be fair assessment.
So below is the 2 day average rapidly rising, I was going to say if it holds 55750 but really I'd expect it to have to deal with this lower average again.  It marked the lows yesterday, its moved fast to converge with the 12hr as of course they are both fast momentum parallels and we'll see if it can hold that amount of energy to close out this weekly bar.     For a trade, downside target of 53k would be attractive to some traders perhaps but its not indicated thats reasonable prospect especially.
4746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: February 21, 2021, 01:21:26 AM
Bitcoin needs to keep improving its efficiency so anyone can use it even small holders for small transactions.  It doesn't have to be down to the price of paying for each coffee separately, there are solutions for that item problem but at present the fees I see are about 20 dollars for usage which is going to discourage casual or mainstream revenue of Bitcoin by normal people.  I mean the average person is not rich just a regular player with an income modest regularly who perhaps who wants to stay liquid and flexible and requires the blockchain to act similarly.
I do think the price action is elastic because of this, price progression exceeds advancement in utility and required efficiency in the product.   There's a natural cycle where one half of the crypto economy encourages the other to succeed, it will happen but we're talking time here I think.

People talk about BTC going 100k and Im not against that but step outside the focused interest 'bubble' and the world requires a product which serves them not itself or interested parties.   All things are possible but these fees are a red flag that will require us to slow down to work on and fix.    My personal take not just crypto but any business is greater success doesn't come especially via specialist markets it mostly comes from a highly usable easy to utilise product, anything too bulky, slow or awkward will end up being a name left at the side of the road as the world carries on differently with a more humble innovation that provided more for less cost or effort.
4747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take team's cohesion into account when betting? on: February 21, 2021, 01:11:49 AM

cohesion for the game.

Yes it matters alot, the series is likely not completely unrealistic in this aspect.   Whats a bit make believe is the random person is better then a proper coach who has insight and knowledge to the team challenges including fitness.
I do consider the team factor as a large part of what determines a win and is a hidden factor that cant be included by just adding up names and separate skills each player might have.   What I've read happening is the team coach can call in specialists to help with specific areas and team building/training days is not a new idea to improving performance for any team even business effectiveness.
4748  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bit Coin hits 55,000 USD on: February 20, 2021, 11:26:19 PM
60k by end of month is expected continuation of this trajectory.   I'm just seeing a pullback now as we reassess some of the gains above the 12hr average, the price action is rapid so a pullback within that quite normal so far as I know.

We traded below 55k in that selloff but then adjusted back above and have gained above the weekly average roughly.   So far we are just above 50% of the peak and low of the day and near to 56k approaching the close of the daily bar and tomorrow we will see the weekly bar close which is usually a bit of an event.
4749  Economy / Speculation / Re: A guy celebrating Bitcoin reaching $100 on: February 20, 2021, 10:56:59 PM
I didnt celebrate $100, most of what Bitcoin I got was to go towards costs so it wasnt mine to keep at any price unfortunately.    If I had been holding a while it would been nice to see a big gain just like people feel similar now.    I wish I'd been around in the wallet mining days when it really wasnt costing much to mine, cpu based but gpu was always a bit of an energy hog.   I've no idea what they spend now but I think its about hardware development so still not a cheap prospect exactly.

I wish we had more historical threads and records of this kind.   They had to close a couple of threads classic ones from BTC origins even though the OP was still active on one of them like once a year.   Helps to add perspective to the growth in Bitcoin I think, a ton of people came later and missed this launch phase to BTC; I wish we'd been able to keep mining forever tbh as it involves the user base more and is more decentralised imo
4750  Economy / Speculation / Re: My calculation and prediction this month btc on: February 20, 2021, 12:51:40 PM
Its ok to be off a bit so long as you capture the spirit of the move, I think most of us prefer the visual approach and its obvious when its off or not.    Im quite sure the momentum we see around certain moving averages appears to reoccur, just recently we've accelerated once clearing the 12hr average.   Its pretty strong considering its a weekend when I'd assume any rise is over the course of an entire day not at certain hours like a trading week might resemble.

blue is 12hr and yellow is 2 day average here.

I still have a few faithful coins, ready for the presidential backing of this coin as a global reserve asset.   It will make Doge look like a poodle

I said a year ago or so end of 2019 I think was something I wish I taken more notice of, that this period of 5 years or so is biased towards greater gains then normal in BTC.   On a long term basis, I didnt know it'd happen now but its putting pressure on FUN or any token.   However it does seem best to hold BTC over the next year or more because a grander set of gains is feasible.   Nothing ever has to happen as we expect but if the odds are good then I'll go for it, if I will be holding some BTC then the FUN token has a use to me and the price is secondary until the day I sell it.    Right now I can buy some and its cheaper to buy, I should be happy so thats the attitude I try to have.   Crypto in general is very testing on the nerves in this way, both last March and to me right now I find it more precarious.
These higher prices do represent volatility, higher doesn't mean that isnt true its essentially price imbalance shown by a sharp gradient.  I hope the site navigates the large price waves valiantly.   I will consider the monthly price bet, could be fast movement made a bargain bet possible.
4753  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Bitcoin is going cross $60k? on: February 19, 2021, 10:05:38 PM
Seems like Bitcoin is in a bit of a price squeeze, its a commodity which can do this as people chase the price it will not release new supply like a normal commodity might do so.    Theres normal sellers of course but not a great supply vs the new demand in buyers.

Chart I can see today has barely pulled back, I put roughly where it should fall below to show any weakness.   Its far off its normal measure of accumulation.

4754  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good time to invest? on: February 19, 2021, 04:11:35 PM
Still trending, rarely hesitating much at present.   Dollar is weak and markets are not challenged hence it appears there is liquidity to fuel a rally.

This is a test of the 2 day average earlier on that caught only for a while.   Trading back above this and the faster 12hr measure, it might continue similarly the whole of Friday.
4755  Economy / Speculation / Re: My calculation and prediction this month btc on: February 18, 2021, 07:00:54 PM
Give us a chart and it'll show more immediately.   You might be dead on by identifying a price trend in a series of numbers but its not clear to us as readers especially, draw a line on a chart and its clear quite easily demonstrate how that might continue.   Though any outcome is never sure its easier reference via chart imo

I'm just looking at moving averages quite often, it adjusts automatically and has been a fair guide quite often.  This is because we have a bullish market with quite alot of momentum.   So very fast gains have been above the 12hr average recently, we retracted back to near the 2 day average earlier but it didnt last long on that slower measure.   I do anticipate a ceiling for higher prices right now but it could also break and we move past that cap, not sure
4756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 18, 2021, 06:24:07 PM
Faze to beat Liquid is the bet Im told is worth making, they are getting slaughtered with the odds upto 6.5x for a bo3 win.   Probably worth taking and Faze chose Nuke as their map for a good reason apparently (arent Liquid not bad on Nuke though).  I think 3 maps is a safer idea and the whole thing is underdog vs just betting Liquid simply take it.   I'd assume Liquid do take it but cant say I disagree on good grounds till I watch the game.

[Faze snap out of it]
4757  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good time to invest? on: February 18, 2021, 04:50:44 AM
Challenging the 12hr average at the moment, it should pull back to the 2 day average at least on a fairly regular basis and you could time a buy at that point.  However I also have something of a daily trend ceiling just on these highs which might cap immediate gains, generally most think the price has no negatives apparent in its pricing on any view.
So something like 50k could be the nearest downside target presuming we have some lag in momentum which would be normal.
4758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 17, 2021, 06:37:57 PM
2-0 for NIP a bit of a surprise but till Ive watched all these teams regularly Im only guessing really.       Right now BIG easily taking Dust2 away from Mibr but went 3 maps at 3x as that seems reasonable and Mibr did ok the other day.   This match might have been a candidate for -1.5 BIG but too late now and I'll willing to see if Mibr can do a map win
4759  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to Identify a bitcoin rally on: February 17, 2021, 05:31:27 PM
Basic rally for BTC occurs above the 12hr average recently and occasionally it pulls back to the 2 day average.    The more severe sell might return to the weekly average but in all instances the rally is merely cycling through various rates of gain and has not failed at any point.   Its worth observing and noting as we reach each point, always there is some doubt but its been bullish a fairly long time and stayed within this idea when in a period of rising price.

This is BTC price action testing the 12hr today,  but price action above this measure of momentum means we are extremely positive and its +5% +11% so far so yep.
4760  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic II on: February 16, 2021, 08:35:00 PM
Its a short term move and very hard to call and even if you are right the total volume is nothing compared to what bought us here but yea maybe we revise lower prices but Im not sure if its really especially lower or just mildly.

Bit of a possible break here and its only really confirmed if it cant bounce one more time from this line where price is now 48k or so  The lows are always more reliable then highs to call, its bouncing on this point and if tested too often it does suggest a lower price occurs as people just stop buying into this point.

2 day average move to weekly average just below and thats probably where its more important how it resolves.   The last two pin candles there, notable action is Japan prime time or that time line at least I just say Japan in presuming they are the richest more tradable country.
