4741  Economy / Speculation / Re: NEW ATH 24K$$ TODAY on: December 23, 2020, 04:55:03 AM
I am sure that we are going to break this one as well. I understand that we may have gone down a bit, but the reality is that bitcoin is not something that we should all cut our hopes and cash out and leave this quickly just because it had a very tiny fall, obviously it is going to be going higher and higher in the end. The only question remains, will it go higher today or tomorrow or will it go up in a year or two?

Because last time we reached nearly $20k levels it took us 3 years to come back here, but this time around we reached to $20k levels but went as high as $24k as well. It means either we are going to keep crashing down and it will take a long time before we can reach this place again, or we are going to end up seeing the $24k broken in under a week and we are going to be over $25k and more very soon. I hope that this new year comes with a superbly increasing price so we could celebrate that as well.
4742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 22, 2020, 04:11:37 PM
Arsenal has been this bad for a while now, they haven't been themselves for a while now and I am sure they are not going to be any decent for a while more as well. I think it is not going to come down to them relegating any time soon, they have too much money they make from their fame and brand that they are way above the championship level, if they ever find themselves in that position even if great name players do not want to play for them anymore, they could still pay top dollar for high level talent and go above easily.

So, I assume that best case for Arsenal would be to make better transfers at this point, find a decent manager that is big name and change the whole face of the club a bit. Because if they keep this up, they are going to be forgotten soon enough, in a decade no one will remember their name. Get a big name manager and some decent transfers and they will be great.

If you spend all day solving reCaptcha they'll up the difficulty level to impossible. Because you guys have been complaining I've been doing a few hCaptcha and from what I can see they just put one image in that is only part of the object that they asked you to identify. That's very easy for a human to see but difficult for image recognition software. On average it takes me 3 seconds to solve and I have never got 1 wrong.

Yes, because I've been solving them multiple times over different sites on a daily basis so I'm becoming more of a bot in Google's eyes. Grin
Then we're basically being penalized for using the service and proving we are not bots? Shouldn't it be the opposite, getting rewarded with easier reCaptcha when we prove with our presence that we are not bots? Also, I don't think I've noticed the difficulty getting higher when I solve many reCaptchas.
Is it possible to drop the difficulty if you could potentially just make a mistake back to back? or would that just simply make sure you do not join at all and block you and label you as a robot? I personally think if I solve it long enough I am sure I will get to a level where I will be asked things that I am not good at all, I will be asked with things that will be very hard to accomplish and that is why I personally would want to see it drop if I can but don't know how to make it easier.

In any way I think this new one will accomplish a lot more with less bots, because the less bots there are the more money the real players will make, from lottery to every other thing, plus the money freebitco.in gives out will be evenly distributed amongst real players instead of bots taking a big piece of the pie as well. That is what I am hoping for at least.
4744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What 3 Exchange Platforms Would You Want To Launch On First? on: December 22, 2020, 12:03:59 PM
At this point if I were to have any type of project of my own, I wouldn't really care about any exchanges at all, I would just go to dex route and swap route and that would be enough for me. Just be listed at uniswap and all the things similar to it, that way people could provide liquidity as well, and it would look like there is a huge amount of market for the project I created and nothing more, with the money I have I could provide liquidity myself and that would allow me to make some profit while also making my coin look bigger, that is a great deal.

Obviously that would require a bit more technical skill before you can create such a product and a lot of marketing to get it heard, but at the end of the day I would rather do that over trying to get attention from binance or similar level exchanges to get listed and beg them for attention to survive.
4745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will DeFi's Future look like? on: December 22, 2020, 09:18:51 AM
I am not sure what could be the future because it all depends on what people do with the technology however I know that people are pretty much in love with the idea of not having any centralized organization in between of this. I get that blockchains are decentralized and bitcoin is decentralized but the way we use bitcoin is not decentralized at all, it was highly centralized because we all used billions of bitcoins on centralized places.

Now with the decentralization we are finally using crypto on no organizations platform which is why it was loved so much. Plus there is a lot more money to be made from this as well, it allows people to profit from just having it and that is something centralized projects do not have. This is why this new defi craze will probably not end because it gave power to people and not the project creators.
4746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP dumped and BTC goes up, coincidence ? on: December 22, 2020, 08:18:14 AM
That is not really the case in most of the time is it. Sure you are free to think whatever you want but the reality is that bitcoin prices are not tied to anything else, because nothing else has the same level of power bitcoin has which means it can't move bitcoin neither. Let's assume that xrp dump is causing bitcoin to pump right? What does that mean? It means that people who sold their xrp moved to bitcoin that moved bitcoin price higher.

Well that wouldn't work for two reasons, one of them would be bitcoin price increase should have a connection to dollars and this has dollars nowhere in the talks, secondly xrp dump is very very tiny compared to bitcoin increases, some millions of dollars versus increase of tens of billions of dollars can't be compared to each other. Hence I believe there is no connection from xrp to btc, there is a million reasons why btc has a connection to xrp price, but not the other way around.
4747  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to trigger central bank collapse on: December 22, 2020, 06:40:44 AM
Central banks do not collapse, even in nations that has superbly high inflation like Zimbabwe or Venezuela, central banks still manage to get rich somehow. You want to know why? Because, they are the central banks and they can print as much money required as they want, if their money worths nothing, they will use all the paper in the nation to print money if they need to in order to pay off their own debts and their own expenses, whereas everyone else will be screwed and food will be a million fiat instead of a few cents.

What we are trying to achieve with crypto is that when central banks take over and only cares for themselves and screw everyone else, regular people could put their money into crypto and hope that when their nation is doing horrible job running the economy, they could simply get richer thanks to their money being in crypto instead of being in fiat.
4748  Economy / Economics / Re: David Rosenber: Bitcoin is in a 'massive bubble' on: December 22, 2020, 05:03:25 AM
People will claim it is bubble as long as it goes up, and people will claim they were right as long as it crashes down as well, but they do not realize that everything in traditional markets have the same type of increases and crashes as well. If we were to say that stock market is a bubble, we would be sort of right, look at the mortgage crisis of 2008 for example, before it crashed it was so high that everyone got a house, they even remortgaged their houses to get cheap money because interests were low as well, but after 2008 it crashed and it hurt everyone, not just in USA where it happened but it hurt even other nations as well.

So long story short if we want to call something bubble, we can call everything that grew big and crashed a bubble. I think bitcoin is a solid investment, that has good days and bad days and good days are more frequent than bad days.
4749  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is there reliable analysts in the marekt that you follow? on: December 21, 2020, 06:43:22 PM
I have few friends who have turned some smaller amount of money into bigger ones, they usually just use DCA and check out the weekly points of the coins they check out, but that is about it, because I rarely trust anyone. This is the crypto market, according to what I have seen in the past 7+ years I can easily say that people do not know what they are talking about half of the time and at the other half they just lie about it to get more famous.

You have to realize money doesn't really just bring stuff you can buy, it also brings power and people chase that inevitable power wherever they are, doesn't matter if they are rich or poor, or if they just had money or got bankrupted or will have money, it just doesn't matter. Everyone wants to be as powerful as a rich person, with or without the money and that is why they lie about economical stuff.
4750  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC $24k another new all time high on: December 21, 2020, 05:53:34 PM
These new all time highs are bringing a lot more light to bitcoin in the mainstream world and people need to realize how important that is. Without the mainstream attention we wouldn't have been at $24k neither, with higher and higher prices bitcoin became a lot more known in the wall street world and bloomberg  channel started to give more attention to it as well and all of those resulted with bitcoin being bought more by richer people and that is how we ended up here as well.

It means we are going to end up with even higher prices as long as those rich people keep investing money into crypto as well. That is at least what I believe will happen, not sure if we are going to have anything more because we are already very high, so even rich people may not be able to pull off another big run, but having them with us is better than having them against us.
4751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is DeFi Dead? on: December 21, 2020, 05:14:00 PM
Defi as a whole will never die, same as ICO has never died nor IEO never died, they still exist to this day, but it kind of depends on what you mean by die. If you mean die as a method of getting funding, it may die one day that is for sure, because people will find a better way to get funding, but the projects will stay, and they will still be liked.

There were some projects that was ICO funded and they still exist at top levels today, there were some that got funded in IEO form and they still exist today, and all of them are liked as well, even though there were some scam ones in all of them, there were great ones that people love to this day. Which means DeFi will be gone one day too, and people will not use that as a funding method, but the good projects we have in the DeFi world will stay and it will still be loved after a decade passes by.
4752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum May Surpass Bitcoin’s Market Cap in the Next 10 Years on: December 21, 2020, 04:19:37 PM
People would love to see some coin that actually has a decent use case at the top place that is not a news to me, but I do not know how it could happen. To be perfectly honest with you, bitcoin has this first mover advantage that hasn't died down yet, and still goes on, and it is growing even bigger as well, look at the price of bitcoin which already passed well beyond the all time high whereas ethereum is not even near the half of what the all time high was.

So, I think it looks like that bitcoin first mover advantage will continue to grow, I would prefer ethereum to be higher as well, bitcoin doesn't really have that much technological reasons why it is so high, it is just the first one and people love it and that is why it is high, whereas ethereum is awesome and used and bought for purposes and that is why it is high, I would say ETH reason is a lot better.
4753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How high do you see Ethereum going this market cycle? on: December 21, 2020, 03:03:02 PM
Just this run? Or do you mean in general? Because I think with the ethereum 2.0 we are going to break over the all time high by the looks of it, price increases a lot easier than I expected, it falls down but than goes back up a lot easier and making 10-20% increases are a big deal at this price level, for example if bitcoin increases 20% today, that would put it over 26k price level and that would be a huge deal, same goes for ethereum too if you ask me, going 20% higher would mean over 800 dollars and that is a big deal.

So, ethereum seems to be favored by the public and bought so much, with the proof of stake there will be tons of people who will attack ethereum and buy as much as they can, in tens of millions of dollars level, probably over a billion dollars collectively just to hold it and that is going to change a lot of things.
4754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Potential coins under 50 million dollars market cap? Can someone give me a hint? on: December 19, 2020, 08:17:29 AM
I would say what market cap a coin has doesn't really indicate how it will do. Just because it is under 50 million dollars doesn't mean that it has a huge potential to go higher. I understand that in stock market world in a peter lynch type of investment you do not go for apple like stocks and you try to find stocks under 2 billion dollars just so you could invest into something that could have a huge profit over long period of time before it reaches to a market cap hit and stops going higher that way, so in a coin with 50 million dollars that might work.

You would assume that it could go as much as 40x before you can start to consider another coin. However the reality is that system doesn't work like that in coin world, it works differently, something that has a future starts with higher marketcap on day one and just keeps growing, and growing bigger even at high levels.
4755  Economy / Economics / Re: Cboe Plans to Launch Cryptocurrency Indexes! on: December 18, 2020, 02:09:27 PM
Indexes are not really something I favor, they are usually taking too many things and turning them into baskets and that was one of the main problems of 2008 crisis for example. Obviously they put everything into one basket that had bad things labeled as good things, which was the main problem and not the putting into one basket part, but it is still not great idea and could be used for bad purposes.

If you put top 10 coin into a basket for example and sell that, how do you know if 11th coin will not pass that? I never really liked index funds, they were always too scary and too risky for me while being zero risk as well, the fact that it pays so little (for stock market) while also being so risky to me makes it totally worthless. Maybe this will be different, we have to wait and see how they will do it and if they do it well enough maybe even I would like it.
4756  Economy / Economics / Re: Look like the crypto will be today what the stock market was 90s on: December 18, 2020, 01:32:52 PM
Which means it will probably be something a lot more dangerous in the end. The 90's stock market had a huge crash in early nougats, the big dotcom bubble where almost all big tech companies went under and bankrupted, some to never return, some that got away from that took years before it could actually make a comeback, hell it took amazon maybe a decade to be a decent company even though it was known.

Hence, I believe it is vitally important to realize that crypto will probably be something that will crash in the end, maybe not right away, maybe not today, but in few years there will be some cleansing period. The horrible and scammy ones will crash and be worth nothing, but that will allow ones like bitcoin and ethereum to worth A LOT more thanks to that.
4757  Economy / Economics / Re: JPMorgan - bitcoin may find an additional demand of $600B on: December 18, 2020, 10:04:39 AM
Ruffer bought 744 million dollars worth of bitcoin in November for example, and as soon as this was made news, the price skyrocket to above 20k price as well. This wasn't direct as you can see, why? Because if it was Ruffer that made it over 20k+ that would mean they would have done it in November, they didn't buy yesterday, they bought in November so a month ago, but the price reacted to this news yesterday, which means there is a bigger correlation to price increases in bitcoin to the "news" of big deals instead of the big deals themselves.

These kinds of moves will surely increase bitcoin market cap, maybe it will do it a month later, maybe it will do it that day, but whenever something big happens that doesn't change much but the news of it changes a lot.
4758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 18, 2020, 09:39:38 AM
people are Enough for mayweather , Lets make this bout as an example as the boxing news does not making noise about this.

Even in my Country comparing when the Fight against Manny Pacquiao  happens and asking for a rematch ?Floyd continues to be in social media but now?

I haven't heard or watch a single News about this ,even in my facebook account though i have many Boxing community friends and we also update each other about which good fight to bet in.

What i'm thinking is would this Fight can cover the talent fee of Floyd? and also of logan.

floyd wont agree to have this fight if he knows that they will not cover even his talent fee here. so yeah, definitely, they already looked those numbers and come up with some approximates here. remember, both of these fighters want to have a good payday here the reason why they are using the social media to hype up this event. we all know that mayweather will win this easily and logan paul just want to get a piece of mayweather so he can increase his subscribers...lol
It is obvious that both mayweather and logan will make a purse out of this fight there is no doubt about that. However it is also obvious that mayweather will make a smaller purse than many fight and even smaller than connor fight as well. "usually" after years past, newer and newer fights are bigger purse because of inflation, something that earns 300 million dollars today would make 500 million dollars in 10 years, sports are like that, look at what sports players made 20 years ago and what their salaries are today.

So long story short, mayweather accepted a smaller and less profitable fight there is no doubt about that, sure it is still profitable, sure he will still make money, but it will just purely entertainment and not a real fight and purse will be way smaller.
4759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Three weeks to the year end - what will be the high? on: December 18, 2020, 05:36:12 AM
We are not finished yet, be ready for anything that could happen. Obviously it is above previous ATH right now but we are not done with the year yet, so it could go down before the year ends. However at least we have the answer to the question what will be the peak of 2020? And that is near $23k for now, it will be even higher in near future as well if it keeps up going like this.

I can't believe people are really this interested with bitcoin once again, there was more people but there wasn't this much buy in a long time, with wall street type of companies coming into the market things changed incredibly. You will see that in a month we will read a news about today where some huge company bought over a billion dollars worth of bitcoin, which will turn out to be the real reason.
4760  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC break 21000 usd, great! on: December 17, 2020, 02:51:06 PM
It is awesome!! People were afraid how we would break over 20k resistance, and how we were dropping constantly whenever we got close to 20k, it just took one small step above ATH price and suddenly it was over 22k! Seriously it took some time to reach around 19.8k levels for example, it tried very hard to get there, for nearly a whole day it was just a fight between sellers and buyers and eventually we got to 19.8k level, right after that it was like a free fall but upwards, we are at 23k on a quicker period of time.

It shows that market always waits for the movement to be clear, whenever it is clear and market decides "oh yeah, it is going this way" they all jump together and price suddenly moves incredibly fast, but until market decides on the direction they just wait around.
