4741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting superstitions. on: November 22, 2021, 08:20:09 PM
I don't believe in such superstitions and I'm not familiar with people who have these thoughts, so it's hard for me to judge. I've just seen behaviors like that in some movies' characters, what was really strange to imagine people could act like that in real life, especially the part they think by watching games with relatives the winning chances of the team they bet on increases considerably.

Maybe this kind of gambler believes good moments with pleasant people generate positive energies that will also influence their teams positively, since that is what they most desire at the currently moment, however, it's not the fans who are playing the game, it's the players. So the players' mindset, strategy and physical preparation are always the most important and decisive factors here.
4742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 22, 2021, 07:48:29 PM
Glad he did it publicly, that is a good incentive for another tech enthusiasts to also invest in bitcoin. It would be very nice if another big entrepreneurs and businessmen were also transparent about their interest and investments in bitcoin, just like Tim Cook. I bet the key players of business world are all bitcoin adopters, although they keep this fact hidden from the media and from anyone else who could leak this information.
4743  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: November 22, 2021, 06:42:11 PM
I saved up my WOF spins and decided to use these today. On a total of 244 spins I won 6600 satoshi, 6000 lottery tickets and 6000 RP which is not bad. Didn't win any golden ticket or bigger prize but I am quite satisfied with the end results. Will probably use the same strategy again.

As I see you have an average of 77 satoshis, RPs or lottery tickets per spin. That is above the minimum rewards rates of 34 satoshis, RPs or lottery tickets per spin. Maybe you have hit some 340 satoshis, RPs or tickets rewards too besides the lowest prizes? I imagine it's quite hard to check the rewards accurately with so many consecutive spins to be used.

Probably the best strategy for now is to use the spins when you think bitcoin is at its lowest price level, as the rewards will be slightly superior.
4744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting online cockfight has become the new pandemic on: November 22, 2021, 05:33:49 PM
Cockfight isn't an exclusivity of Phillipines. I know there are people in another countries who are also adepts of this gambling category and wish to legalize it in their own countries. Personally I'm totally against cockfight, not because it's a betting activity financially harmful to gamblers involved on it as justified by the article, but because it totally disrespects and abuses the animals that are incapable of rational thinking. I consider cockfight torture of the worse kind, especially because it includes mutilation. It's a very sadistic practice to put two animals to fight for entertainment purposes. So it really should be suppressed by authorities, land based or online ones.
4745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Make money with Axie Infinity (SLP) on: November 21, 2021, 05:52:52 PM
Hello
Im looking for investments opportunities and found SLP chart. It looks pretty to buy it.
Can it grew as well as AXS?

Also I heard that SLP farming was profitable. Is that actual now with low SLP cost?
For example can I setup few accounts + farming bots from github like World Of Warcraft?

UPD:
I found this but not shure
https://reposhub.com/dotnet/game/rc0dez-Axie-Infinity-Farm-Bot.html

You will set up few accounts + farming bots from github? am I right to what I read here in your topic?
Because, as far as I know using bot in the games of the Axie Infinity was very prohibited and when you insist
to use bot, your axie team account will be put in danger where their system can ban it.
You are right. In my opinion it's better to play by the games' rules. The worse thing a player can attempt to do is to take advantage of the game and another players illegally. When this happens, sooner or later the player is going to be punished without any rights of appealing and since it's a very expensive pay to play game, the impact of a ban will be really harsh financially speaking.

The point is simple: just don't be greedy and it will be fine.
4746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best odds while playing Dice on: November 21, 2021, 05:24:18 PM
I consider myself lucky enough if I'm able to pay for the transactions fees with the profit made from a dice game session always I need it. It's not possible to have great expectations on dice due to the obvious disadvantage players have against the house, so I try to keep my goals humble and low on this matter.
4747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: November 21, 2021, 04:34:17 PM
It's always nice to see experiments involving bitcoin, but in this case I ask myself if it wouldn't be more worthful to invest in already existing structures (cities) when adopting geothermal energy and offering all those tax free policies to salvadorean citizens.

In fact there is going to be lots of criticisms, because people from another cities will inquire the government about the benefits residents from this new city are going to have, which won't be disponible for everyone else at same time.
4748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 41% of people globally say they trust Bitcoin over local currencies on: November 20, 2021, 08:03:30 PM
Being realistic, if that survey corresponded to the truth, bitcoin adoption would be in a much more expressive level than it actually is at this moment. It's not easy to make an accurate survey. Interviewers need to collect people's feedback from different social classes, from different areas (even inside a same country) and from different ages. Also, people need to be approached by interviewers to answer the survey, it can't be exclusively spontaneous , because if it is, the survey will be biased, as it will collect opinions only from people who have a primary interest for that matter.
4749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 20, 2021, 07:24:27 PM
Hot news that Sergio Aguero will retire soon and will announce it at a conference. According to Spanish reports.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/sergio-aguero-make-retirement-announcement-25506136

Indeed, I expected from the start he had a heart disease which he suffered of course he will not play for long and sure enough in this latest news he will officially announce his retirement later, at an age enough to be able to play a few more seasons and have to leave football for good.

But I will remember he is still a Man City legend.
These are unfortunate news. It's really sad to hear a 33 years old soccer player can't continue his career because cardiac arrhythmia. Let's hope he can overcome his diagnosis and all the implications it will have on his life. I see he can count with the solidarity of many soccer enthusiasts and especially his countrymen teammates from Argentina, what is already a very good beginning in a difficult moment like this.
Probably he will keep working in the soccer industry, although not as a player anymore.
4750  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banks and the government. on: November 20, 2021, 06:21:27 PM
Can the banks challenge the policies from the government?
They can, but they won't, because to work in cooperation with the government is always profitable for them. And even though someone influent inside a national bank challenged a government's decision, this person would be instantly replaced by someone else aligned with the government's policies.

Are the banks working for the people or the government?
Of course banks are working for the government and for their own personal benefit. What the people want isn't important for them, that is a secondary matter.

is there any possibility that banks can operate freely entirely from government policies?
Banks can't operate freely, because every countries have regulations which force the banks to adapt to them. The problem is when the country abuses these regulations in order to limit citizens' individual rights and to increase taxes abusively. In this case the best thing to do is to move yourself to a foreigner decent country faster as possible to live worthily.
4751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 20, 2021, 05:45:26 PM
By the way, can anyone tell me about the Netherlands? Like what is their current situation and about their squad.
Their situation is the best as possible at the top 1 of Group G without any menace against their leadership. I must say they were really lucky to join a group without any tier 1 teams to fight against, but at same time it doesn't take out all their merit. Taking their performace during this stage in consideration, Netherlands is going to be one of the favorite teams for the next world cup in Qatar.
4752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play-to-Earn games on ETH: What's the catch? on: November 20, 2021, 03:51:15 AM
I see hype surrounding Play-to-Earn games (P2E) lately, just because it brings a new income stream to gamers. Many people are greedy, so they recur to blockchain-based games with the hopes of making big bucks in return. While P2E sounds promising, it's limited to the underlying blockchain network's capacity. I sometimes wonder what's the catch of games which "give away money for free", since fees on ETH are so high right now. How does the game generate revenue by itself? I suppose it's not out of thin air. We'll have to see how this will play out during an extended bearish market. Most probably, P2E will fail just like ICOs back in 2017.

Thoughts? Huh
For a game to be sustainable it has to have a sustainable in-game economy. Most of these games are just ponzi schemes which use the investments made by players to pump the in-game currency price, what means at some point it inevitably fails and every late investors lose money.

But if the game is good and entertaining it can work on long run, because there will be competitive players with legit interest for the game, especially those addicted players who desire to reach the top positions of the ranking. These players don't bother spending tons of money to boost their progress and have some advantage over their pairs. When it happens I think we could say competitive players feed farmers players who are there just for money, so the game becomes sustainable.

About ETH fees, well, that is easy to solve: just don't use it like many games are already doing right now.
4753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Education Insurance on: November 20, 2021, 03:03:55 AM
I suppose it's a marketing strategy to promote bitcoin among young students, because it really doesn't make a lot of difference if home tuition support is paid in fiat or bitcoin currency. I don't know what are the intentions behind this good action, but I think it's positive for bitcoin anyway. The more people talk about it, the better.
News like this make people's interest for bitcoin increase, what helps to raise demand, also boosting bitcoin price towards a new ATH that must happen before this year finishes yet.
4754  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: November 19, 2021, 09:43:43 PM
The problem is there are more than 44 million users registered in Freebitco.in,at least this is some of the highest ID-s I have seen there and to get in the top ten to win a share of the lottery is near impossible for most of us.However a few persons here have won a share of the weekly lottery and one just won the Lambo not long ago so anything can happen,it is just luck based but it is a very hard luck to come by,as long as you get lottery tickets by WoF spins or from the free spins nothing to lose, you only will have false hope most of the time during Sunday but we all have such hopes during that day,it is a few years every Sunday I wait to see if I won anything in the weekly lottery.

It looks like over 48 mln players have already registered on freebitcoin. You can check it by clicking the stats tab in the menu of the website. Regarding the lottery, I noticed that the total number of lottery tickets has decreased significantly in the last few lottery rounds. For example, there were 250-300 mln tickets a few weeks ago, but now it's only 110 mln tickets in the current lottery round. It is still a huge number of tickets, and the winning still depends only on luck. However, it also means that the chances of winning a prize have increased for everyone at least 2 times.
Maybe the decreasement in tickets number between previous and currently rounds was due to the fact Wheel's winning chances for better rewards were reduced considerably. It's harder to accumulate tickets from Wheel right now, because people are hitting the lowest prizes more often. But it doesn't look an issue, because people in general have the same winning chances they had before, as everyone is probably receiving less tickets proportionally.
4755  Economy / Economics / Re: Introducing a state-issued cryptocurrency on: November 19, 2021, 07:39:04 PM
Union Finance Ministry has take a decision on a state-issued cryptocurrency soon but ban all private cryptocurrencies. The VHP leader had sought a ban on all cryptocurrencies alleging its usage to fund terrorism, drugs and other 'anti national activities'. As all private cryptocurrencies are still not considered as legal tender or coin in India, but the govt may introduce an official digital currency in India.

I think its a good decision by government.. What you guys think about it?
To ban private crypto currencies doesn't mean people are going to stop using them.

To launch a state-isued crypto currency doesn't mean people are going to adopt it.

In other words, nothing significant would happen if the proposal of Union Finance Ministry went ahead. Bitcoin would still be the favorite one and their national crypto would be nothing...
4756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hillary Clinton: Nation states should pay attention to the rise of crypto on: November 19, 2021, 06:08:17 PM
This to me is a sign that the old order has now been seriously shaken to the core. And rather than opposing that which seriously disrupts the old system, something which they cannot stop, it might actually serve them better if they just embrace and exploit it.
This is actually already happening through the so many regulations being passed in different countries and also noticiable through sudden changes of mind by another countries, like China, for an example, which has already admitted they can regulate bitcoin at some point, instead of completely banning it.

Even the friendly bitcoin adoption by El Salvador is a good indicator the traditional system which rules the world is trying to take advantage of crypto currency to prolong their domination in every local socities.
4757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot focast on: November 19, 2021, 03:30:55 PM
I think you misspelled the word forecast.

But according to the study, the house edge of a slot machine is around 5% to 10%, therefore there's no way you can win in the long run. This type of game is only good if you are lucky, or just trying to have fun, and that house edge will certainly make your forecast wrong most of the time.

Quote
The price is right
The house edge for slot machines typically falls between 5% and 10%, with most machines delivering a payback percentage in the 90% to 97% range. (If it's 90%, the casino's take—and the player's loss—is 10% of the coin in, for example.) But how can casino operators determine the best house advantage for their bottom line within that range? "It's really a pricing issue, because it's a unique product," said Lucas. "With real slots, the price isn't marked anywhere."

Source : https://arstechnica.com/science/2019/10/study-busts-popular-myth-that-gamblers-can-sense-differences-in-house-edge/
Thanks have corrected the misspelled words, but slot is based on skills even a 5% house edge is enough to make the players sufficiently equip with skills if not if a player depends on luck as you said it be practically impossible to win a slot game most especially when it against the house. But again if one is just playing for the fun of the game you can easily look away from the loses and continue to lose to the house edge. But if a probably fair system is in place a player may win sometimes.

They say it's based on skills but actually only gamblers who know how to cheat won the slots. Slots are programmed by computers, the house edge is high, therefore it's hard to convince me that it's won by skills. If Slots is based on skills then probably is also based on skills, a dice game has a 1% house edge and yet we are still losing in the long run.
The only skill a gambler can use in slots games is bankroll and bet size management, so he can play for longer, losing less money, consequently increasing the probability of winning money (considering the longer he plays, higher are the chances he hits a decent prize). However it doesn't prevent him from losing on long run, after many slots sessions, anyway.
Only very few people will be able to make profit from slots and those are the ones who hit the jackpot and never come back to play again in an attempt to be lucky again.
4758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: November 19, 2021, 03:45:39 AM
A comedy movie involving bitcoin would be interesting to decrease the tension created around it always connecting the crypto currency to illegal schemes, criminals and a lot of negativity. So I think a movie showing someone changing his life for the better thanks to bitcoin would look great and inspire many people to see bitcoin in a fresh way. If possible, it should be a comedy movie with the same vibe 90's and early 2000's had. I mean, a very funny spontaneous plot, without any political agendas like the infamous political correctness on it.
4759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A positive evaluation of gambling. on: November 19, 2021, 02:46:56 AM
Only responsible gamblers can see these points and cultivate these traits but gambling is always a trap and some bad decisions always haunt gamblers that always question their judgment even if you cultivate these traits you are still not safe from gambling, you're still going to lose the only way not to lose is to quit, there are positive traits that you can cultivate in gambling but no way it will save you from losing.
^ Responsible gamblers will always have a chance not to involve in addiction, they always see this positive evaluation on their selves and possibly apply if they saw that there is something wrong. Not unlike those who are addicted already, they are always thinking about the profit they get, and sometimes this chasing profit will give them a chance of losing in a long run. If you gamble just for entertainment, I don't see if you have a problem in the future because you know there is a limit and you can adjust yourself for possible things.
.
Actually "responsability" is another positive trait to be developed by gamblers. Gambling can help people become more responsible with their money and impulses. Even though it may not happen suddenly, there is always a chance to develop this trait after commiting many mistakes during betting sessions. It's valid to notice the most important lessons in life are learned during the hardest and mind consuming challenges we face.
4760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First decentralized Gambling Platform? on: November 19, 2021, 01:13:35 AM
Well, I see the launchment of BetDex decentralized casino is scheduled for 2022, but there is also XFUN (decentralized) Casino, from the same developers of FreeBitco.in, which is scheduled to be launched by the end of this year, featuring fully decentralized peer to peer sportsbook, casino games, social games and financial trading games.

There is going to be a lot of competition on this field and the most prepared, innovative and generous casino will prevail, for sure. However, if this category of casino is going to overcome the traditional ones that is another story which only time can tell.
