Single parent households on welfare, the war on drugs that keeps the fathers locked up, an education system that doesn't do the business properly, little hope at being upwardly mobile, teens having babies to get out of the house = all a recipe for disaster.

Haha yeah this is a classic watched it a few times when it first came out.  Around this time i was spent about a month trying to work out the truth of 9/11 and my conclusion was i needed to spend less time trying to work out the truth of 9/11.
The rabbit hole is very deep and you can get stuck down there while doing your 'research' and many people can't live normal lives when they become defeatists. This type of content is not something you can just start wrapping about at the water cooler at work, normally. Even if you're fast and loose w/ your piece you still run the risk of being 'that guy'.

Can someone recap to me what's going on here? Are people still promoing the sig addy to get more referrals or how is this thing going these days? It does seem lucrative down the line for the extreme content posters on here.

Play a few word games and then ya don't have to pay out. It's called "keep moving the goal posts" like they do on most other things. It surely was an act of terror but the 'who' in this situation isn't entirely clear, nor is the 'why'.

Rand Paul can attract black voters. Hillary Clinton should take notice.

BY ISSAC BAILEY
September 11, 2014

Sen. Rand Paul, a Republican who is on record questioning a part of the Civil Rights Act and has been associated with neo-Confederates, has a shot at winning over a significant minority of black voters in 2016 if he keeps doing what he’s been doing over the past year or so.

Hillary Clinton fans should not take for granted that as of now the biggest obstacle to such a seemingly unlikely feat is not the former Secretary of State, but Rand’s own party.

I know because I’m one of those gettable black voters who haven’t gotten much attention the past few election cycles because we were, frankly, not gettable in 2008 and 2012, not only because of the historic nature of those races, but because then candidate Barack Obama spoke eloquently on the issue Paul has taken up as his own.

I voted for Obama twice, the first time I was motivated by his work in Illinois to revamp the criminal justice system, to make it just a little less unfair. During his time as president, he has helped to close what was a 100 to 1 crack to powder-cocaine disparity and cleared the way for tens of thousands of non-violent drug offenders to receive reduced sentences.

It’s been a good start, but Paul not only plans to carry that torch, he is speaking about it in ways Obama has seemed reluctant to since he’s been in the White House.

Rand Paul Opposes Obama's Plan To Arm Syrian Rebels In Fight Against ISIS
Quote
WASHINGTON -- Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) does not support arming and training Syrian opposition forces, a key element of President Barack Obama's new strategy to destroy Islamic State militants in the Middle East.

"Senator Paul believes arming the same side as ISIS was and is a strategic error and would oppose such action," Paul's senior aide, Doug Stafford, told The Huffington Post on Wednesday.

The news was first reported by The Daily Beast.

...

By opposing the arming of opposition forces in Syria, Paul echoed Sen. Mark Begich, a vulnerable Democrat up for re-election in Alaska, who expressed similar concern that U.S. arms would end up in the wrong hands. In a statement following the president's speech, Begich said he was "gravely concerned by reports of ISIS seizing and utilizing U.S. weapons intended for those fighting against" Assad.

4770  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold my alts, all in BTC on: September 11, 2014, 06:05:38 PM
IMO, the alt coin scene is a den of vipers looking to prey on the wild eyed vulnerabilities of those looking to make a quick buck. Some continue to fall for the next coin and then the next after they've been burned thinking there's always a chance at a moonshot that never comes. They fall for the PR and videos that scammers put out and then they part w/ precious bitcoins for that chance to make more that typically ends w/ them losing. People, don't waste your time on anything besides bitcoin, you'll regret it. There's only room for one sheriff in this town.
4771  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin long-term exponential trend (updated regularly) on: September 11, 2014, 05:56:43 PM
I actually gotta say that seeing the latest version of the graph is rather scary! :/ It isn't unprecedented that we went this far down, yet we're now in a relative state of mainstream adoption and already tapped some of Bitcoin's potential, so I don't hope this means decision time already, and people decided against it...
At this point there's really no reason why the general public should care or want to use bitcoin in lieu of traditional payments. Most of the merchants that take bitcoin don't offer any substantial reason for people to want to pay w/ it and if they do they certainly don't advertise it. The small % of people that are buyers/holders/users has clearly increased quite a bit since last year which is why the price is being sustained at 2-3 times last summer's price. The trajectory is going up not down in terms of more people learning about and wanting have a piece of the action all over the world. Now, there's way more exchanges in plenty of countries not to mention all the ATMs which will help the next rally in epic form when the next trigger sets it off.
4772  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase expansion into Europe on: September 11, 2014, 05:47:33 PM
I've had nothing but great experiences dealing w/ coinbase here in the US. After bitinstant went bust, there wasn't exactly an easy way of accumulating coins and coinbase filled the void. They've always delivered on time and there were never any surprises that pissed me off. They even allow you to set up a vault if you choose to. The downside is that they are regulated by the govt and theoretically could be froze which would bite.
4773  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should we stop all Muslims from entering America? on: September 10, 2014, 05:16:05 PM
The visa fees from people wanting to travel here from other countries should foot the bill for screening whoever these visitors are. And, if homeland security was actually worth their salt they should be scoping out Americans that are overseas and forming allegiances w/ militant orgs not worrying about veterans and constitutionalists back home.
4774  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama to Prepare US For Military Strikes in Syria Against ISIS on: September 10, 2014, 05:12:11 PM
I love how they drop his middle name in there like it's relevant to anything. Military strikes wont get rid of ISIS. Sure you'll kill a lot of them along with a load of civilians, but you wont eradicate them.
Yet the military industrial complex is licking their chops right now as it's now time to spend more money to defeat a propped up new version of the al qaeda throwbacks. Covertly train and arm Islamic militants w/ weapons their nearest 'enemies' don't even have, then they go on a rampage and pick off a few Americans in the process, then drop expensive bombs and ship even more arms to the region. This won't end well and will likely spawn more terrorists than you kill off. Are we supposed to sit here and say hip-hip-hooray assuming that this will be the final bombing and arms shipments that will forever stem violence in the middle east? Won't happen and unintended or planned covert consequences will manifest themselves rather quickly.

For the past several months, I was not following the GOP nomination for POTUS 2016. But I was quite disappointed when I saw the latest polls. A poll by McClatchy/Marist has Rand Paul in the 7th place, well behind Chris Christie and Jeb Bush. Quite worrying... I have to say. The establishment republicans are trying hard to sideline Paul. He will have to fight really hard.  Angry
IIRC, the sampling size on that seemed a little weak and way different than the usual 4 companies that show him at or near the top, nationally. He tends to yoyo by how often he's in the press and getting in front of a certain issue of the day. Meanwhile, he's laying every piece of fabric needed to create a foundation for locking the front runner status while the others in the GOP primary trade places like Cain/Bachmann/Perry/Gingrich etc (aka flavors of the month).

IMO, there's been a constant black ops going on since in or around the Benghazi debacle to systematically create a new and spicier version of al qaeda since the American people are getting bored at the concept of constantly "going over there in search of dragons". When even republicans were trending against intervention to now when they're leaning back the other way to some extent, the media has done their job of trending fear again. However, we're just getting started again going over there and there's no way to know how this will develop going into the primary season although we do know how the media will present it to the public especially on right wing talk shows. But, I am confident in Rand's abilities to make his arguments iron clad yet attract the ankle biters like Cheney and Santorum.

Rand Paul mulls China medical mission

By MIKE ALLEN | 9/10/14 6:54 AM EDT

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), after spending six days in Guatemala this summer doing free eye surgeries, plans a similar pro bono mission for next summer, perhaps in China, he told POLITICO in an interview.

Paul, who traveled with three staff members, journalists from five news organizations, plus conservative filmmaker David Bossie, worked with six other eye surgeons. The group performed about 250 surgeries, and he did about 20 of them.

Here is a lightly edited transcript of a phone conversation with the senator, who spent 17 years as a practicing ophthalmologist in Bowling Green, Ky.:

Washington (AFP) - The US Air Force has told a sergeant he will have to leave the military unless he agrees to take an oath with the phrase "so help me God," officials said Tuesday.

In the latest religious controversy to roil the air force, the atheist airman last month was denied his request to re-enlist because of his refusal to swear to God -- and he is now poised to take the military to court, his lawyer said.

"We have not received word from the Air Force regarding our letter. It has not indicated a willingness to settle out of court," said Monica Miller, an attorney for the American Humanist Association, which has taken up the service member's case.

With the deadline for re-enlisting expiring in November, the technical sergeant at Creech Air Force base in Nevada -- whose name has not been released -- will be forced to sue the government in a federal court, Miller told AFP.]Washington (AFP) - The US Air Force has told a sergeant he will have to leave the military unless he agrees to take an oath with the phrase "so help me God," officials said Tuesday.

Are you the real Chef Ramsey? If not, why do you hide behind someone else personality?
Cause it's a psuedo-anonymous avatar account that I chose after being a big fan of his cooking and shows. I doubt a big time millionaire like him would be hanging out on a message board of any kind unless it's his assistant doing the chatting.
