4761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for $25 worth of XLM? on: February 15, 2019, 07:40:27 PM
I just got an email from Blockchain.com.  They are giving away $25 worth of their Stellar (XLM) coin, but in order to claim it you have to submit a selfie and a government identification card.

I don't have any suspicions about Blockchain, I believe they're legit, but I'm always hesitant to spread my personal information around.

How many of you folks plan to claim your $25?
Their giveaway hasn't ended yet? I have been seeing this Stellar giveaway for a while. Honestly, I wouldn't be giving away my information for a site that I do not use and for only $25. Its actually not worth it if you do not use their wallet.
But they do have their reason for the KYC thing. I guess this is their only way to stop people from claiming multiple times.
4762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What aims have you lost your funds so far in crypto? on: February 15, 2019, 07:37:19 PM
Back in 2017 I believe we have lots and lots of millionaires and billionaires in the crypto atmosphere, now back in 2018 we really have a terrible happenings like for e.g the drop down of bitcoin, ICO no longer paying up, funds get missing either on Exhcangers site or investment. I believe we have lots of encounters in lost of funds

Now what is your own side you ever lost your funds?
The price drop does not mean that one has lost a lot. If you think about the coins only, they still have the same amount of coins now when compared to the coins they had when the price almost reached $20,000. So this means they did not actually lose anything unless they sold it for cheaper value.
Fortunately i haven't lost (not counting the price drop or anything related to that) anything so far. Never fell for a huge scam or didn't lose any coin on an exchange.
4763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Malfunction Looking for investor ASAP on: February 15, 2019, 04:43:54 PM
Do not trust this user. He is here just to scam people. There is a high chance that there is no  "bug" or "malfunction". He is just a gambling addict and will use your coins to gamble. Notice he said "some of my coins", which means  that there is no guarantee that you will win every time for which OP isn't willing to risk all  his coins.
4764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: February 15, 2019, 03:50:35 PM
To be honest, there is only one reason to continue to gamble. "I have shit tons of money and I have nothing else to do with it. So why not entertain myself" is the only reason that comes to my mind right now. Others who give reasons are just showing excuses to "cover" their gambling addiction from others, nothing else.
4765  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader don't speculate? on: February 15, 2019, 03:30:37 PM
Speculation is nearly the same like gambling, but trading is activity that the same like others business that we should be use risk management and trading plan. Beside that we should be have knowledge about technical analysis and how to predict trend of crypto market.

It is like gambling but with much better odds if you are actually an intelligent person.  I know even the smartest can get wrecked but more often than not you will have winning decisions if you are patient and don't fall for the manipulation.
Don't compare trading with gambling. Gambling and trading are two different things. Gambling depends totally on luck (talking about games like dice and slots) where you have no control over your bet amount. In case of trading, you have a better edge on controlling your losses. You can back out anytime from trading and reducing your overall losses (compare it with bet amount when betting. You can't remove your bet once palced. You either win or lose everything. But in case of trading, you want withdraw your investment and save some of it).

4766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Positivity is necessary in the cryptocurrency space on: February 15, 2019, 03:06:19 PM
If anyone has crypto experience of atleast 3 year they will be clearly knowing about bear manipulation so they will never leave just to liquidate their funds.ya it is currently for new trader but they should be more sensible enough not to just start trading ,I personally think new trader should check market for at least 3-4 month before going with funds as crypto market is entirely different from stock ,here there are bag holders with vast connection to create fomo or fud trends.
I wouldn't say they shouldn't trade at all. After all experience matter. Let them start with small amount. Let them make mistakes and learn from those mistake. Just looking at the market without experiencing won't help them much. They should fall for those FUDs and fomo and understand how it works.
And yeah, positivism is required. But being too optimistic may stir you away from reality. I prefer being realistic while trading instead of being optimistic every moment.
4767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What if the bull run started and ended in one night? on: February 15, 2019, 02:17:57 PM
I know it is basically impossible but what if, while you slept the bull run commenced and the price of Bitcoin climbs to $50k and then goes back to $3k just as you wake up. Then you see the charts for confirmation of what went down while you slumbered. What will you do by then? I want to hear your thoughts on this.  Grin
If that happens that it would not be considered a bull run, rather a short burst due to either price manipulation or through random pump and huge dump by a group of whales where only they will make profit whereas others will suffer huge loss. A bull run is a steady rise of the price through out weeks/months.
Again, this kind of short burst is actually unhealthy for the market. This is something we all don't need at all.
4768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 No Bull Run, the Bull is Sleeping on: February 14, 2019, 08:06:38 PM
In my prediction i think every price altcoin is still down because fail and scam project.A good project lock their token to save a fall price. But its not give effect to make their price is up because too little buyer in market.
Will the altcoin raise again in middle 2019 ?

You just can't blame only the fail/scam projects. In fact those project does not have much affect on the price of bitcoin or other crypto currencies (unless the project has taken huge lump of coins from investors and ran away while dumping the coins). There are various other reasons why the prices are not rising currently. No one knows if the altcoin will rise again in the middle of 2019. You will just need to have faith on the coins and wait long enough to see what happens.
4769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If... on: February 14, 2019, 06:45:28 PM
If you're the one who gets addicted, what possibilities can you do?

If you're gonna ask me, maybe I'll first have a serious discussion with my wife bout the money that I will gonna spend at the casinos then later on we could have an endless arguement that can lead us into nothing. If I get addicted maybe there is also a possibility that I will certainly blame people whenever I lose on a game. (That's the attitude that I have and I don't want it to show.)

And you? Would you be the same? Or even worst?
As long as you don't realize that you became addicted to gambling, then there is no way you will stop. Like you said, you will be blaming people when you lose money on a game. This "blaming" people is just an excuse for you to continue gambling and avoid the confrontation. Since you know that you might get addicted to it, then don't gamble at all in the first place.
Maybe I wouldn't be the same, but how would I know? I am not an addict.
4770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the large variety of Altcoins hurting the market? on: February 13, 2019, 08:36:21 PM
It doesn't actually affect/matter much in the long run. Even though if there are thousands of altcoin in the market, people will only invest on the coins that are well know and has credibility. They won't be risking themselves by investing on new altcoins that has no potential. Those other altcoins will eventually die and new ones will popup and will just get the attention of extremely small crowd of people that will have negligible affect on the market. Just look at the trade volumes and you will understand what I am saying.
4771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex still safe to trade? on: February 13, 2019, 08:23:18 PM
I used to trade on Poloniex before and never faced any problem. I didn't have to submit any form of verification documents back then. Not sure if its still the same. I started using Binance. It felt kinda better than Poloniex and you can trade up to a certain limit without verification (the limit is large enough for making casual trades). Though, never store huge amount of coins in an exchange. They might get hacked anytime and you might loose everything.
4772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can REGULATION Really Be Beneficial to Bitcoin? on: February 13, 2019, 08:17:54 PM
Depends on what and how bitcoin is going to be regulated. If it brings some strict regulations and imposes policies that favors only the government, then it won't be beneficial to the community. Instead, it will end up being a centralized currency. There will be no difference between other digital currency and bitcoin. Now we don't what that, do we?
4773  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS SELLING Steam Gift Cards Only 77% (BTC-WMZ) on: February 13, 2019, 08:01:41 PM
I would like to know how you obtained those cards. Are these cracked or stolen gift cards? If they are , then users who redeem those cards will be risking their steam account and might receive some sort of infraction on their account. Unless they are legitimately obtained, I wouldn't recommend anyone to risk using these cards.
4774  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to keep your funds secured? on: February 09, 2019, 04:35:59 PM
Im quite new to crypto so i wanted to know what exchanges do you use and i'd be grateful for advises on security. I currently keep my crypto on localbitcoins but it recently got hacked to im concerned for my money. I want to move it somewhere safe but still be able to make trades without much fuss. Im still learning to trade but im pretty serious about it. Can you recommend me a good exchange that hasn't been hacked yet?
"Hack yet?". So you want to join an exchange that hasn't been hacked yet but has a possibility of being hacked? No exchange available is hack proof. No matter how much they "secured" they are, there are high chance that the exchange might get hacked. So use it on your own risk. And again, using an exchange as a form of wallet is always a bad idea.
4775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrencies be able to use for payment? on: February 09, 2019, 04:25:19 PM
You think they are not being used as a form of payment right now? Every (or most of them) crypto currency owner has at least for once used their coins to make some sort of payment. People are getting paid in the forum for their services. There are some online shops that sell stuffs and accepts bitcoin or other crypto currencies as a form of payment. You can even indirectly buy from well known online retail shops using crypto currencies. If you haven't, give it a shot.
4776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doesn't blockchain technology makes gambling easier? on: February 09, 2019, 03:46:55 PM
I guess you meant crypto currencies instead of just blockchain. Yeah, it does make everything a whole lot easier. You can deposit and start gambling in literally few minutes. Some casinos even don't require you to sign up or anything. But, there are some casino that will restrict users from playing on that site if you are from some specific countries (based on legal gamble laws). True, its anonymous, but you will still be breaking laws and if somehow they are able to backtrack to you, you might be in trouble.
4777  Economy / Speculation / Re: new bullish run on: February 09, 2019, 03:14:57 PM
I wouldn't call it a bull run, not yet. The short burst of the price is probably for the words of SEC commissioner being spread that proposed bitcoin ETF will eventually get approved. The news might have sparked a new hype for which people are jumping in with the intention of making some quick profit. Remember, its just a leaked comment and he never mentioned that it will be accepted. Once the hype falls, we might see the price falling back again unless we get a strong support line.
4778  Economy / Services / Re: Earn BTC even if you have RED TRUST on: February 09, 2019, 03:00:54 PM
Or you could just post your way over here so that you do not have to deal with multiple messages individually. Wouldn't it be better?
Anyways, others just be careful when joining his telegram. He "might" have malicious intent (to harm the users/forum in someway or other) and use your accounts to accomplish.
4779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have a reason to stay? on: February 09, 2019, 02:29:37 PM
Those who invested in bitcoin way back 2009 had not experienced any bull run before nor have much knowledge about the blockchain technology, yet they took the risk to invest. You and I have witnessed a bull run and heard about the numerous potentials of crypto so why do we still have to feel reluctant to invest in bitcoin. Let's be optimistic about our digital assets because its all we have.
Back in 2009 people invested/earned/mined bitcoin because they were purely interested on the technology. They never expected the value to go this high. They just wanted to experiment with the new "currency" system (read payment system). You do realize that back then only people who were interested in technology knew about bitcoin, right? It is now we are seeing people who are just interested on the money investing on bitcoin. Trust me, you will find tons of people who has no clue how the technology works.
4780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What causes tokens been dumped after a successful ICO. on: February 08, 2019, 08:07:28 PM
Investors that change their mind or opinion about the project usually starts to dump it as soon as the token hits an exchange. Again, there are those bounty hunters that wants to cash out their project. So, they usually starts to dump all their earnings to get their payment. That is why it is never a wise thing to sell out the coins as soon as it listed on an exchange.
