4761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin for sales in a volatile market. on: August 27, 2020, 12:10:25 PM
Why should volatility be problem? If you are so afraid of the Bitcoin price fluctuations, than why not just sell your bitcoins for fiat, right after the buyer pays you with BTC for the domain name(after 3 confirmations).
If you ask me,BTC price volatility won't be your main problem.Your main problem will be finding buyers that are willing to pay for a domain name by using Bitcoin.
By the way,do you plan to use a crypto payment processor, like Bitpay or Coinpayments?
I think the best option is to have a crypto payment processor. There is one good thread about it that maybe can help the OP to decided in the future, Bitcoin Payment Processors. Volatility will also be present in crypto, it's just how you are going to manage or mitigate it.
4762  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lazarus Group campaign targeting crypto thru LinkedIn on: August 27, 2020, 11:52:33 AM
I guess the moral here is that if you are currently employed in any job that is crypto related, like a system administrator or a support, you better hide your employment history because the risk is really very high that you are going to be targeted as the weakest link. Just like what we have seen in the Twitter account recently.
4763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jeff Horn vs. Tim Tszyu on: August 25, 2020, 10:15:53 PM
Horn could win this fight for the style that he imposes "Aggression". This is how he won the controversial fight against Pacquiao.
We also have to understand that he imposes his weight and height advantage on Pacquiao and that is his tactic to most of his fight. But when he can't he losses. So I don't know how can he imposes his will against Tim when they have the same height, so that won't work. He can smother Tim, but I think he is ready and have train against it. He can't also fight in the distance because Tim has a longer reach. So it's going to be a difficult fight for Jeff, unless he got lucky and hit Tim and knock him out for good.

But remember that Horn vs Pacquiao fight was labeled as rigged. So I don't think this time around he will be favoured again in the ring. I hope the outcome will be fair as it should be.
Obviously, he is not the favorite by looking at the odds. And you can't call it rigged when both are Australian  Grin. So if Horn wanted to get the 'fair' deal then he will have to knock out Tim here.
4764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The most common types of cheating in the crypto world on: August 25, 2020, 06:13:43 AM
I don't know if anyone notices it but then, it's 'sim swap' not 'sim swa' as it appears. Well, the Bounzi Enterprise as it appears there seems to operate on the same pyramid scheme as Ponzi schemes. Is Bounzi Enterprise a type of Ponzi scheme or another name for Ponzi schemes otherwise, I would have just said Ponzi,,, its popular and makes more sense to me that way.
Yes, probably not proof, reading specially this is a translation. My initial thought is the Bounzi could be Ponzi as well. Anyhow, I commend the OP for his translation of the article and he should comeback to edit and correct those "mistakes".
4765  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency trading platform on: August 25, 2020, 05:35:03 AM
I'm not really sure if Binance DEX is truly decentralized though,  The problem with DEX is that they lack liquidity as compare to CEX that's why more traders still used CEX despite that high risk of "not your keys, not your coin' paradigm. Again, there's no such thing as "more secure" in crypto, everyone has been a target, from CEX->DEX. It's just how you practice your security hygiene that will make you less vulnerable to such hacks.
4766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why don't more people invest in btc? on: August 25, 2020, 01:28:05 AM
I'm wondering why the general population hasn't yet caught on and started investing in bitcoin. These days people seem to be willing to immediately invest into the stock market, but not into any cryptos, when it has such a large potential in the future. Why is this the case?
It's because bitcoin is still fairly young market as compare to stocks. 10 years is not enough to really put it in front of social media, although bitcoin is slowly making it's marks on millennial, Young investors have flooded into bitcoin during the pandemic, while the older generation can't get enough of gold, a team of JPMorgan analysts said. And then there is the big risk involved, bitcoin is know for its volatility and most investors doesn't like an asset that moves so much, unlike traditional stock market.
4767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple the next bitcoin? on: August 25, 2020, 12:53:44 AM
As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this?
No one is talking because it is not going to happen. They are not even comparable in terms of price, their fundamentals. There are so many difference that they are in the different league. You should compare Ripple to altcoin not to bitcoin. Or even to fiat based remittance system, like Western Union. $10? might take another year for Ripple to reach that price, sorry to burst the bubble. There's no other coin that can top bitcoin as of now. And this so called "Rippening" is just a dream to be honest.

4768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Google Opens The Door To Mass Cryptocurrency Adoption on: August 24, 2020, 08:01:37 AM
This is part and parcel of crypto being 'adopted', in order to achieved that, someone big, like Google to push it to the market. Of course there is institutional investors, but I guess it should come from those who early on opposes crpyto like Google. On the other hand, they will surely make a tons of profit here as third party middle which we don't like to adhere. It should be p2p, but I guess there is some kind of trade-off that's going to happen in order to achieve crypto adoption.
4769  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Promoting obvious XRP giveaway scam in the forum. on: August 24, 2020, 07:46:11 AM
I supported the flag they cannot do it here they will get tagged reported and eventually get ban, but they keep doing it here thinking that they are going to get away with it, they keep recycling this thing when will they give up.
Flag supported.

Of course, they can't do it, not in this community. However, they won't stop, probably will create another account. But then again, we have a lot of scam investigators here. So the moment they are get caught and reported, they get banned. So it going to be a tough fight for all of us, but we can't just let these criminals run amok here. So it's going to be cyclical battle of cat and mouse game.
4770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin use? on: August 24, 2020, 07:06:06 AM
You can try this wallet: https://electrum-ltc.org/

I don't know if you are familiar with Electrum, a lightweight BTC wallet. And then there is a version of it as LTC wallet. I think it's one of the best LTC wallet in terms of usage and just like it's big brother, it is also lightweight and you have total control of the private keys.
4771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Oscar De La Hoya vs Amir Khan? on: August 24, 2020, 06:37:25 AM

And with so many retired fighters making a comeback, It just shows that boxing maybe dead in this pandemic. Do you guys agree?
No, I don't think that boxing is dead, all sports are suffering from the pandemic but it doesn't mean that they are dying. Oscar's reason is that he missed boxing, Pacquaio already gave him a beating, so I don't know how can he missed boxing for that. It was reported that the has a net worth of $200 million https://www.sportscasting.com/oscar-de-la-hoya-used-his-massive-net-worth-to-buy-a-pro-soccer-team/. So that's a lot of money to buy cocaine.
4772  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong information shown by the media 🎵 ? on: August 24, 2020, 06:10:46 AM
I think that's the problem with crypto media in general, you just have to look at the Press board to see how much ignorance those authors are spewing ever since. We can argue that the market or blockchain technology is very young and there could be mistakes here and there. However, as journalist, they should adhere to ethical journalism, but this is not the case so far.
4773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 24, 2020, 05:48:42 AM
Dude. Luka!

That OT last shot, the buzzer-beater is hype!

Who has watched Luka's winning shot?

The stats of this kid is lit! 43 points, 17 rebounds and 13 assists

He is now trending in the sports of basketball, that last shot was sick, the guy is cold blooded hitting clutch shots, that's why it's not hard to admire him.
At 21 years old, this guy looks like a veteran and thanks for the coaching stuff for trusting Luka to make the last shot.

They have a good game plan, Kawhi was suppose to guard Luka but that switch made Kawhi trap and Luka got a good mismatch.
Yes, damn, the heat that Paul George is taking not just from basketball media, but from fans himself. Now, others are saying that we need PG to play this bad to look that Westbrook is not the problem when they both playing together. And Luka could be the youngest player to hit a play off buzzer beater?

Could it be different if Kawhi is in front of Luka?
4774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jeff Horn vs. Tim Tszyu on: August 23, 2020, 07:43:10 AM

4775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Holders have an opportunity to earn interest due to cred partnership on: August 23, 2020, 04:14:32 AM
Don't promote another one of Roger Ver's scams.

People who will use this wallet and its interest earning feature are risking their coins in many ways - this system might get hacked, it might pull an exit scam, they might get mislead into buying bcash, or do incorrect transactions, they will forfeit their privacy and so on.

Roger Ver is one of the most untrustworthy people in crypto, right there together with CWS, and only stupid or clueless people would put their coins in his projects.
And I think the OP missed this:

Quote
Bitcoin.com is a news site, wallet service, mining pool, and cryptocurrency hub for supporters of Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Its Executive Chairman and former CEO, Roger Ver,

And I doubt that it true, he only supports his Bitcoin Cash, I do hope that no one falls for this scammy trick of his.
4776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Evander Holyfield trilogy fight with Mike Tyson. on: August 23, 2020, 03:00:53 AM
Nah, i don't like this idea of a Tyson vs Holyfield trilogy. In the first place, Mike has not won a fight with Evander so there is nothing to prove here. Are they broke?
How about the idea of a boxing exhibition? I don't think they are broke, perhaps bored as hell and that's why we heard a lot from Tyson and Holyfield making a comeback run. What I don't understand though is why Evander hiring Anthony Rhoades, which is obviously celebrity personal trainer? Why not hire someone inside the boxing circles? So for me, doesn't seem that he is too serious to get back into boxing, maybe he just want to get in shape or something.
4777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Defi Projects That Have a Price of More Than $10 000 on: August 23, 2020, 02:23:25 AM
It doesn't matter, just pure hype, look at the trading volumes and that will tell you the whole picture. Bitcoin is still trading way above any of those Defi's.
True, bitcoin volume is much better, and performing wise as those against Defi hype. So I don't also understand why are there investors on Defi when they all know that it is a bubble.

And no offense to those who love Defi, but almost everyone shares the same opinion that it is like the IEO bubble of 2017, and we all know how it ended, just saying.
I guess we never learn from the madness of 2017 and the burst that it has brought to all of us. Almost everyone loss some chunk of money, more on newbie investors though, we still bought at the peak and this is just history repeating itself again.
4778  Economy / Speculation / Re: This time when the stock market crashes, Bitcoin will go to moon! on: August 23, 2020, 01:34:14 AM
There's a whole speculation that stocks and bitcoin are somewhat correlate, in which as you have describe. But probably that's one part of the equation, investors are constantly shifting funds around and putting where it can grow.
(....)
On this part, what can I say is it is really difference on how the stocks and Bitcoin are correlate to each other. But it's right, only pure SPECULATION. This is also what I noticed before and keep asking about the correlate part of these two but as time goes by, I started to understand somehow they don't really correlate (for my own opinion).
For now, for what I am experiencing on Bitcoin, Bitcoin is just being a Bitcoin, a huge volatility, and parabolic run is always possible, just like what happened last 2017 end of the month to 2018.
There's no such thing as parabolic run, well it could be bullish at times but a continue growth is not possible and as you have said, it ended in 2018 and goes on a long bearish trend.

@exstasie - then kwukduck will be proud of @Proudhon, yeah we missed that guy but it seems that we have some replacements but no one can match the legendary kwukduck. So bull run 2020-21 for us? Grin
4779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin on: August 23, 2020, 01:11:48 AM
It's surprising that Povetkin pulled off the upset in the manner he did but I felt like Whyte had been overrated recently. He had knocked out a few lower level fighter and the UK fans were saying he would beat Wilder. That was just hype and tonight he got humbled by old man Povetkin.
Or it's probably one lucky shot, a hail Mary and usually this kind of shots will really end the fight. But it seems that Whyte is exposed and maybe you are right that he is overrated. So he is out of the equation for UK fans, Wilder and AJ, with their charisma will remain on top. Wilder is out of his league and others might point that changing his trainer has somewhat impacted his performance. Anyhow, we won't take anything from Povetkin.
4780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi coins have turn the market into confusion on: August 22, 2020, 11:28:55 AM
Not a confusion for those who know what they are doing, DeFi is progressing but still unsafe for people who don't know how to do some research on new projects, I don't invest on projects that aren't well known or popular
A deep research must have done by everyone. DEFI hype is still unsafe and people must be careful with this thing. SO many new defi projects and the majority of them were selling the hype without try to provide a good product for the users.
Yes but we can't stop people investing on them, after all this is an open market It might be unsafe and we are really losing money if we don't look closely, but I will say that let them understand and see the consequences for joining this hype. Probably at the end of the year, this Defi bubble will burst just like the ICO, but this time more investors are going to loss huge money, more than the ICO + IEO combine. It's a big scary, but this is how I look at the current pumps that we are seeing.
