4761  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible solution for economic go-slow on: July 05, 2020, 04:23:20 AM
This is probably the first disease that has had such effects on the world in my lifetime. Others didn't even come close to the damages this pandemic has brought so far. The economic situation would improve if the government somehow manages to push the citizens to spend, pushing the economy to flow right now, as well as supporting domestic production so that they can be self-sufficient, at least until the pandemic is over. They can also push for creating jobs that could help a lot of people right now, especially since a lot are left jobless due to the fact that businesses have closed down due to the effects of the pandemic. One good example is for them to push through industrial projects that would help hire a lot of people, since construction works require a lot of manpower, and not many requirements are even needed.

Strictly speaking, we need the government to not be an ass right now. Not only them but as well as major corporations inside our own countries. Cooperate with each other and stop taking advantage of the workers. Pay what is due needed, especially since a single cent can be quite a help right now.
4762  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a correlation between price and major wallet upgrades? on: July 05, 2020, 02:58:30 AM
Uhm no. Sure, if Wallets were a 100% requirement in holding coins, like there's absolutely no way for you to retain ownership of a coin if you don't have a wallet, but it's not. There are various ways for you to own a coin without spending money on wallets like paper wallets or if you're not holding for a long time, exchanges. Wallets are in the end, more for people who hold bitcoin in the long term or hold huge amounts of Bitcoin, to be fair, the majority of traders don't even hold that much when trading.

The bumps probably happen due to advertisements and the company behind the coin doing something to promote the wallets. Sides, there are countless factors other than wallets you'd need to reason out price surge.
4763  Economy / Economics / Re: The freer the market, the freer the people? on: July 05, 2020, 02:09:21 AM
Meet halfway there. That would probably be the best type of market out there. Why do you think that after countless centuries we've arrived at an era where the market is basically governed by a body? To ensure fairness and the like, at least, that's what it supposed to be anw. Free market, or heck, freedom for everything is possible if everyone killed their desires. Or even if there's one, if one guy likes this, then the others should also like that.

Also, freedom isn't necessarily a good thing. Sure, it gives us the notion of being able to do whatever you want, but that's the bad thing. You're able to do WHATEVER you want. Even bad things. Get the idea? Freedom is nice and all, but it isn't necessarily the best option to choose.
4764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any successful and relatively new casinos? on: July 05, 2020, 01:21:19 AM
You can see how BPlay turns out later on. They should be able to withstand the waves of famous casinos and make a name for themselves, with how Binance is backing them from behind and all. They're pretty new and I only found out about it due to someone posting the said collaboration with Binance a few days earlier.

I don't find it relatively weird how the competitions for casinos are this intense, and how the only casinos I know are mostly the famous ones. If they can't provide anything new that those famous ones already have, they're basically just replicating what those casinos have and making the players lose the reason why they should even play on their casinos. They keep doing it cause a casino is basically a money making machine if they can make it work, and if they had the capital to try it out, why not right?
4765  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money and beat up inflation rate? Options please! on: July 04, 2020, 08:04:02 AM
Invest what you can without affecting your finance for everyday expenses. At the very least, for the next year, make sure that you won't have any kind of problems living your life when you invest. Look for investments that are protected from inflation rates or look for ones that would benefit from the weakening of the U.S. dollar. Bitcoin is a fine investment, that is if your holding in the long term, but this doesn't guarantee that your money would remain the same as it is when you invested it. Bitcoin is a speculative asset and you can see just from how much the price moves in the long term that your money may or may not be the same, whether it be a positive or negative result. If you want a 100% assurance, Bitcoin may not be an option.

4766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery help? on: July 04, 2020, 05:55:28 AM
Uhh, you yourself said it. Lotteries are unpredictable, and there's absolutely no chance of you actually being able to predict the results. If you were just asking to calculate the chances, then that'd be another thing. Sure, you may find various math theories that say that it "increases" your chance of winning, but let's be real here. Most, if not all of those math theories touch upon the notion of probability and randomness, which still ends up with your "prediction" being closer to a "guess" instead of a proper prediction.

Follow what @TheUltraElite is saying, instead of making a blog about how you are "predicting" Lottery results, might as well just inform them about actually useful stuff such as it's history and stuff? You can also introduce various types of lotteries from different gambling sites.
4767  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we rely on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: July 04, 2020, 04:55:14 AM
No. Bitcoin isn't a magical asset that could help prevent the collapse of an economy, especially with how long it has already shown evidence of collapsing soon. Plus, with how Bitcoin's status as a speculative asset, one couldn't really guarantee it as a safe place. Ofc, there's a chance it may actually benefit you instead, with its price growing instead of falling, but the chances are also the same for its price falling instead. Additionally, your using Bitcoin for yourself, to save yourself from the collapse, and with how only a limited number of people actually think of such, the collapse of economy would still continue, but you can afford to save yourself if you continue to believe in BTC (that is, if BTC doesn't also collapse).
4768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker games that are providing free plays to earn real money on: July 04, 2020, 02:41:55 AM

Speed of what? The experience will be the difference between the experienced players and inexperienced players. Of course, the experienced players can make a fast decision or create a better strategy than amateur players. The experienced player will benefit when they play against the other player who doesn't have enough experience. But poker games will need the patience to manage the best card to win.

Apologies, my view of speed may have been too narrow. I was thinking of speed as to getting the fastest decision in a small amount of time, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the "best" decision right? However, as you said, the experience can also be seen as speed, or rather how quickly one can create a decision best fit for a set scenario. What I meant by experience was closer to knowing how to bluff, push, and the like. Knowing when to retreat or to push kind of idea. These strategies may need speed for you to come up with them, but pulling off a proper bluff needs experience right? You can see a stark difference when a beginner tries to bluff and when a professional tries to bluff.
4769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what way you’ll inherit Bitcoin to your loved ones? on: July 04, 2020, 02:12:18 AM
Probably something similar to a time-limited storage or something? Placed somewhere pretty secure where details about it would be sent to my family every 3-4 months after my Death I suppose. To activate it, I'd probably ask my family to open a certain program and tell them that I already died or something. Specifics are pretty difficult to explain since I really haven't learned that much when it comes to such things, but death still seems pretty far from me so I still have plenty of time.

That, or I could just retire the heck out of a stressful life, give them my wallet and let them do anything about it BEFORE I die, and let them manage my balance so I don't have a problem anymore. It's like I'm making them inherit my stuff even before I die, is that allowed?
4770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of America now treats BTC and ETH as Cash on: July 04, 2020, 01:30:12 AM
You should've probably read the comments at the reddit post itself, or at least did a bit of research. A milestone move? More like banks just wanting to milk cash out of people more. There would be no doubt insane amount of transaction fees to be asked, much so that you'd actually question yourself that why am I even buying BTC through this way?. On another hand, even if we do consider BoA accepting crypto due to this, with how they are not really releasing any official statement, it may as well not exist imo. It's like their walking right at the border, so they can change positions quickly enough to prevent any damage caused by either believing or not in crypto.

4771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Current Price Impacted By Miners? on: July 03, 2020, 08:55:48 AM
Yes, and what is anyone going to do about it? Nothing. Miners have basically the same rights as any type of person out there that aims to buy and sell Bitcoin. Whether it be now or later, there's really no reason to rationalize and explain if Miners can impact Bitcoin. Miners aren't some special kind of human being, they're basically the same as any type of person out there.

Miners hoarding Bitcoin and dumping it all in one moment to the market is actually nothing weird, with how the Bitcoin market works. With nothing but the basis of supply and demand governing it, we can naturally expect a few parties to hoard Bitcoin in the long term, and I doubt Satoshi didn't foresee such an idea. If the price crashes due to such reactions, it'd naturally climb back up due to the same idea governing it, as long as the idea of supply and demand stays as its core, it would climb back up naturally.
4772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some college students in Alabama bet money to see who gets COVID19 first on: July 03, 2020, 07:18:53 AM
Okay? This makes me somehow consider if I'm even of the same timeline, heck, even the same world as others. This is really making me question if these people even have brains, or at the least, actually using them. There are a lot of other ways to set up bets with each other, and even if you go for the worst example, it'd be the opposite of this. Specifically, bet money to see who recovers from the Covid -19. Ofc, some retards may infect themselves just for the bet, so for safety measures, create a starting date, and any infections after that is invalid.

Quote
"It's nonsense," McKinstry added. "But I think when you're dealing with the mind frame of people who are intentionally doing stuff like that and they're spreading it intentionally, how can you truly fight something that people are constantly trying to promote?"
Hell, I approve of protests against racism if we were compare it to this kind of event. Ofc, considering that both events have dangers, I would opt to choose both not to happen, but If I were to choose which one is better than the other? I'd opt for the one that's actually fighting for something.

That is something I only have seen in movies, horror movies. It is incredible people are doing sick things like these to organize a party and to transmit one of the worst virus in history to other people. It is great that they are denounced to the authorities and I think they need to stay in jail for quite some time.
What's even sadder is those that are at the party aren't cooperating. It's sad how those positive originally even dared to attend the parties to spread the virus. Like, are they treating it as a joke? Or do they truly believe that because they are young, they are able to survive and recover from the virus?
4773  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome and Handle Your Mistakes in Trading? on: July 03, 2020, 05:17:57 AM
One thing to consider is that, don't afraid to make a mistake. Be afraid of making a mistake and not knowing what to do after making it. Mistakes are learning lessons for each and every one of us. Stop considering winning, especially from the start. You don't really learn anything by winning. Even if you accidentally trade successfully and made a huge profit, by the time you do your 2nd or 3rd, you'd probably realize that "ah, I was just lucky" kind of thing. Mistakes are like Thanos, and if I were to quote him, "I am the inevitable". It'll happen, sooner or later. Don't even bother comparing yourself to the Avengers though, the inevitable naturally comes, whether you delay it or not.

4774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker games that are providing free plays to earn real money on: July 03, 2020, 02:21:26 AM
In fact, this is not entirely true.

Experienced players use statistics, both in their head and with the help of programs. They do not play free tournaments, not because there are difficult inadequate rivals, but because the stakes are too small and their time is more expensive. If freerolls had higher prize pools, many experienced players would gladly take part in them.

Statistics help to understand any player, especially if he is inadequate.
Yes, sometimes you will find yourself in ridiculous and unobvious situations with them, but in most cases it is precisely those who will help your stack grow.

For a poker player, it is important how much he earns in the dollar-hour ratio, only that matters when choosing games.
But he's talking about those players who just play randomly right? Experienced players may be a part of this and tbh, it happens. Especially when motivation is gone, players just randomly choose a decision out of numerous ones, and their basis? Just pick something random. Tbh, this could also be a counter of some strategies, but it also affects you yourself. It's like a part of chaos theory, where it's completely random, but it can actually largely influence the results. Ofc, since the note of the term chaos, even the one doing it himself has no idea it could produce a result like that.
All players want to play with a weak player so they can win the games easily. But unfortunately, that thing can not always happen because the sport staff will shuffle the player by random so each player will have to compete with each other to be the winner. Their fear will become bigger once they don't have a good card, and their opponent can bluff them easily. The experienced player will know how to make a strategy with fast than their opponent, so they can realize how big their chance to win, and if it's necessary, they will try to bluff them.
It's not about speed imo, but rather with how experienced players can create a winning strategy even with a bad hand. Heck, even making decisions quickly can be detrimental at times since mistakes are bound to happen when you try to think quickly, quick enough that you don't understand what's happening and you're just grasping straws by the end.
4775  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Day Trading: How to Get Started & How to Win on: July 03, 2020, 01:24:45 AM
It's basically something similar to a dictionary or list of terms that you need in day trading. Still, I don't exactly see any way on how to win so for those trying to read it, don't get your hopes up too much. There's always wins and losses in day trading. The guide mostly states on how to understand how you can win, and when you lose, how to understand how you lost. OP should've also probably added a few trading simulators or something of the like. Though the data may be false, they would at least have an idea on how the various terms work after seeing it in real-time, unlike in pictures.
4776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: July 02, 2020, 12:03:15 PM
That is just really unfortunate but I do understand that. They can't just play and follow the new normal since there are other players that are still positive with the virus. I guess we might not really see the continuation of the season in 30 days. That would take them weeks to quarantine and they can't just play after that since as far as I know there will be a follow up test to that.

I guess we will be sticking more to online games or esports betting right now. This is just sad.

I'd rather stick to eSports temporarily than let the players expose themselves to further risks. We already have a few infected players according to others here in the thread, and opening the NBA season just invites more of such events to happen imo. Plus, let's not forget how there are cases where people are asymptomatic (shows no symptoms) and can be very dangerous, especially with close contact games such as Basketball. If they were to test themselves, then there's a chance that could be avoided but that doesn't say that the chances are zero though.

The funny thing is that it is already known that those people who transmit the virus asymptomatically and feel great are the ones who infected the most people.
A long incubation period does not allow to identify the source of infection on time and those with whom he contacted.

What precautionary measures can be discussed while mass protests are taking place around the world with a constant violation of these measures.
Precautionary measures would be to stop the protests. Or at least, think of an alternative where they don't actively seek for their deaths like what they are doing right now. Ofc, i'm not saying that they should stop but rather look for an alternative. It's also with these kinds of issues why the spread still won't stop, mainly because they think that the pandemic has already passed over after the past 3-4 months.

4777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock Fight on: July 02, 2020, 07:59:05 AM
Made a quick list about countries that allow it. Got it from Wikipedia though, so it may actually contain some bits of wrong info here and there.
Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Philippines
Indonesia has it banned but they have religious aspects tied to Cockfighting, so those are allowed.
Spain has it banned except for two regions, Canary Islands and Andalusia.
France has it banned except for a certain region, Nord-pas de Calais.

Of course, other countries where it's banned continue to host a few cockfighting sessions, regardless of consequences.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cockfight
I don't like organizing such a betting event on animals. It used examples of this kind of happening for cock fight in Turkey. However, the result of hard work by the government of Turkey banned altogether. From time to time, there are illegally organized fight tournaments, but they are always followed by the police.

I don't know, have you watched one of these fights before? You can be completely in horror. I think it should be banned everywhere. In the vast majority of these fights, it results in the death of one of the animals. Moreover, I have to say that the roosters who lost the fight and did not die by themselves were killed by their owners.

Warning: Don't watch this video with your child or if you don't like violance.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXK6uog-f6g

The worst part is that people enjoy it ...
Well, some people enjoy weird things mate. It's like since the age of violence against each other is over, and literally almost no one would beat up each other in the streets, they went to look for possible substitutes, and cocks were one of the options they found. They're rather easy to raise after all.
4778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BPlay Gaming site Platform [Binance Collaboration] on: July 02, 2020, 07:28:10 AM
First time hearing about BPlay. Might check them out sometime later since Binance did allow a Collab with them, and I doubt Binance would collab with a bad gambling site. Still, it seems like they only have a small arrangement of games at the moment. Haven't seen much people reviewing about them so I might actually wait for a few more months and see whether issues crop up before trying to play in their site.

Still, since BPlay is only a new gambling site, it's still up to question whether this collab is actually going to benefit Binance since it has a lot of sites to fight with. Hope Binance actually manages to get something out of this collab though, especially since business puts profit as a top priority.
4779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think players can play properly against a recovered Covid-19 opponent? on: July 02, 2020, 04:38:39 AM
Based from this article, there is probability that a recovered covid patient can still be reinfected.

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/04/no-evidence-that-recovered-covid-19-patients-cannot-be-reinfected-who/

So for those managing sports events, they should weigh their decisions when it comes to healthy protocols.
Because a lot are showing asymptomatic cases, one wouldn't know their status if they will not undergo the testing.
In this regard, it is better to subject all the involved persons to testing before they can proceed the event.
Isn't the reinfection stemming from them being infected by someone with Covid? Doesn't that mean that recovered patients can be seen as patients that are cleared of infection? After all, having the name "recovered" means that the Covid-19 should be removed completely from the system. Just based from this, you can safely assume I suppose that there isn't any risk at all in playing with people that have recovered from the Covid-19. This is assuming that the said recovered person has completely "recovered".

When some recovers from a disease their body creates antibodies to make them immune from that particular strain, like a particular strain of flu. So people who recovered from coronavirus have antibodies protecting them from SARS-CoV-2 so they cannot get infected by that particular strain again. Still, they should practice social distancing to avoid carrying the virus and infecting another person with it.
Source? Just looked up a bit and from what I could gather, it was basically the same as what the article @TimeTeller quoted that there has been no evidence as of yet, on both sides that is. No evidence of recovered person developing antibodies, and no evidence of a recovered person being reinfected once again.
4780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Alert] Scam attempt in the name of gambling house and moderator on: July 02, 2020, 02:12:51 AM
You can already identify it just from a few things tbh. 1, it's from telegram, a hellhole filled with scammers. 2, it's a new site, as OP said, and from what I found as well, the site was created on June 28th. Lastly, the mod cheating to make you win? Please. Idk why he would even need strangers for that, just make your family members or friends do it instead, it's a lot easier and safer. Especially the last point, that itself tells you that the one you're talking to is a scammer, or the site they are making you enter is a scam itself. I still don't really believe that others can fall for this, deep scams with a lot off planning involved, maybe, but this? Then you'd either be a complete noob with the internet or you're just plain ol stupid.
Aside from it being a scam, assuming that the offer is legit and the event happens that you won the said jackpot price and by some chance, players noticed the abnormal thing about that winnings and file a complaint, it will give us a problem if the complaint is justified and we will be charged as an accomplice to the crime.  Giving in will only lead us to the losing end whether the guy's offer is real or not.
Well, if what the other party is legit, then if you won, he'd be able to manipulate the records one way or another. I doubt they'd be stupid enough to actually show to the public records of them winning continuously. A balance of win/loss should be maintained with them still profiteering off of it.
