@Vishnu.Reang. LSD and cocaine are not soft drugs. LSD is dangerous because it causes extreme hallucinations. Cocaine is one of the most addicitve drug in the world. However, agreed that they are less dangerous than Fentanyl and Fentanyl derivatives.

I have never heard about anyone dying of overdose from LSD or cocaine (unlike the case with synthetic opioids). If LSD can give hallucinations without serious side effects, then it is less dangerous, right? And this is one of the reasons why I am in favor of legalization of soft drugs. Here by grouping soft drugs with lethal ones manufactured by the pharma mafia, the government is actually increasing the harm.

What makes it any different from the failed Libra project of Mark Zuckerberg? If he is serious about cryptocurrency, then he should invest in Bitcoin and help the community rather than creating his own token. We already have 10,000 plus cryptocurrencies and there is no need for a new one. Just like Zucker, the intention here is not to support cryptocurrency but to profit out of it.

I am someone who engages in gambling occasionally and when I first gambled online I was just 18 years old. During the past one and half decades, gambling was more of an entertainment for me, as I lost more than what I won. But I never gambled more than what I could afford to lose. And as a result, my financial and mental health is perfectly fine now.  Grin
4764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects are now showing up on: February 26, 2020, 03:30:02 AM
I am still of the opinion that the current state of the market is not conductive for new projects. Investors are vary about them, due to the proliferance of scam projects. Even now there is no change to this situation and many of the new projects are turning out to be scams. Until the situation gets better, I am staying away from these new projects and the ICO market.

This could be very interesting decision who is going out of second test for me also Ajaz Patel should be dropped because on these pitches he is not going to do any good thing for home team.

Ideally Ajaz Patel should be dropped, but the coach (Gary Stead) is not very comfortable in going with an all-pace attack. I watched the interview where the journalists pointed out that Ajaz played hardly any part in the first match. Stead then went on the aggressive mode and claimed that he would have played a major role, had the match went on for more than 4 days.

The signals are clear. Rather than Ajaz, Jamieson will be dropped and that is going to be a historic blunder.
4766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to survive if you lose more than 80% of your Capital? on: February 26, 2020, 02:53:16 AM
Back then it happened to every single user, right? The Bitcoin prices dropped by 85% during 2018 and many of the altcoins dipped even more. I had Ethereum in my wallet, and it's value went down by more than 90%. Cardano lost 98% of its value and many of the smaller coins became worthless altogether. But then, those who panicked and sold their coins made a mistake.
4767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't just hold your altcoins for a long time! on: February 26, 2020, 02:47:17 AM
This is a lesson that I learnt at least two years ago. 99% of the altcoins are hopeless, as they don't have any real life usage. Holding them for long-term is not recommended. You will get a fair idea if you follow the development news. If the project is going to fail, then you will get enough hints in the first six months. And that is the time when you should make your exit.
4768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins so fragile compared to Bitcoin? on: February 26, 2020, 02:41:08 AM
Hi friends:
What is the reason for the large fluctuations of altcoins in your view? Why are altcoins so fragile compared to Bitcoin and fluctuating with the smallest news? Of course, I mean the altcoins that have good ideas, professional support,... not the shitcoins.

Even Bitcoin used to fluctuate a lot. There were times when BTC used to go up or down by as much as 40% in a single day. I am talking about the period before we first hit four digits in 2013. Back then there were less than a dozen exchanges, and the liquidity was limited. Many of the smaller alts are at this stage right now and therefore they have large fluctuations.
4769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 26, 2020, 02:35:06 AM
Very bad game of cricket by David Warner. I still can't believe what he did. He came in top-order, remained not-out, and couldn't get the team to the small target. This is beyond pathetic. Should he even be included in the Australian squad of the T20i world cup? I don't think so. Roll Eyes
You really cannot blame Warner for the defeat, South Africa bowled really well in the later part of the innings and you need to give credits to that kind of performance to win the match from behind and considering the start they got i thought they would win the match easily but it was the other way around and i lost my bet as i never expected South Africa to bounce back like that.

Players need to share the blame for the defeat and Warner is not free from criticism. It was a match that Australia could have won, with enough wickets in hand and just 32 needed of the last 4 overs. But as usual, the Australian lower order failed (Carey/Wade/Agar.etc). Warner could have done more, by keeping himself at the strike, rather than putting the pressure on the newly arrived batsmen.

India lost one test match abroad and all the hell breaks loose. It is not uncommon for top ranked teams to lose in sports. I have seen Brazil getting thrashed in the FIFA world cup. There was real shock, when the United States couldn't even reach the finals of the FIBA World Cup. It happens sometimes and that's what makes sports exciting.

BTW, New Zealand is facing a real dilemma with the selection of the bowlers for the second test. Neil Wagner is back to the squad. So they should drop one of the four bowlers (Boult, Southee, Jamieson and Ajaz). The coach is thinking about dropping Jamieson and I think that it will be a very stupid move. I would rather drop Ajaz and go with an all pace attack.
4771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has the price of Altcoin stopped in one place? on: February 25, 2020, 04:21:46 PM
I completely disagree with you OP. Firstly, you need to know that the volatility is widespread and existed in most of altcoins, the market is pretty unstable in all the time. In fact, it depends on the coins you are holding, except the ones on TOP 20 or 30 , the other altcoins are really  garbage and unprofitable, it is essential to pick the best of them like, Tezos, Monero, Tether.. ect. In addition to that, the whole market is pretty linked to Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Earlier, almost all the altcoins used to be linked to Bitcoin. Whenever the prices of Bitcoin used to go up, the altcoin prices also increased. The prices followed a similar trend, when the Bitcoin prices went down. But now, many of the larger alts are showing independence as far as the exchange rates are concerned. And in the near future, we will see more and more altcoins removing their linkage with BTC.

~snip~
The choice for opening batsmen was baffling. The regular openers were doing a splendid job, and there was no need to shove in Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal. Virat Kohli was doing a good job at no.3 position and they pushed him down by one slot. And finally, Ashwin was selected over the other spinners, despite his poor performances in pace-friendly tracks.

Ummm, Well, Ummm....

Prithvi is the only new guy in this team. Mayank is part of the test squad for quite some time now, he's playing almost every test after his Debut against Australia in Dec 2018. How many time we have seen Virat batting at no 3 in the test match? hardly 5-6 innings may be? he always prefer 4th position in test. Ashwin is debatable but he did okay job in last game as bowler.

My bad.. but I always felt that no.3 position suits more for Kohli, when compared to the no.4 slot. But it is his choice, since he is the captain. Anyway, for now India has nothing to worry. Although this series is a part of the ICC World Test Championship, as of now India is far ahead of the second placed team (Australia). And the other teams are too far behind them.

I don't understand the angry reaction from the Indian fans (I'm an Indian myself). Historically, India has performed poorly outside the subcontinent. However, ever since Virat Kohli became the captain, there have been a noticeable improvement in their performance. But even then, it was going to be tough against New Zealand, who have world class bowlers such as Neil Wagner and Trent Boult.
I don't say I got angry at the India after that match but definitely got dissapointed.Things changed from the past,India got world class players who can compete and win any team and not every matchs can be won also but here this match they didn't even tried to win the match they fell easy for NZ bowlers.I will say that India tested too much in the selection which is the only reason why they lost it.Atleast in the second test we hope to see some fight back and the right team selection first of all.

Peshawar Zalmi looks strong on paper with Darren Sammy as a captain, makes it favorite for me. Check the teams to make the choice.

Darren Sammy is one of the T20 stars and there is no doubt regarding it. But his recent form hasn't been that good. Multan does have some very good players, such as Moeen Ali, Fabian Allen and Imran Tahir. On top of that, they have experienced guys such as Shahid Afridi and Sohail Tanvir. They are not over-dependent on one or two players.

I was almost certain that I will get points on the second match yesterday when Lahore got 2 early wickets after having a total of 182 but Islamabad ruined that lol. What was the wrong with Lahore Captain Sohail Akhtar? Hafeez did very good bowling at the beginning. 2 overs, 11 runs and picked 1 wicket. Hafeez didn't get a call later despite others bowlers were called and at the end, there was no option but to call Usman Shinwari.

Actually it was really painful to watch Lahore losing the match, despite making such a big total. By the time Islamabad United lost their 9th wicket, they still needed 20 runs to win. The no.10 and no.11 batsmen were at the crease (Ahmed Safi Abdullah and Muhammad Musa). And it was the no.11 batsmen who propelled Islamabad to victory. But still, I don't think that the captain made a wrong decision. Hafeez is a part-time bowler, while Usman Shinwari is someone who have the variety which can be useful against the tailenders.

were people actually selling kilos of coke and heroin retail on SR? i always thought it was much more of a recreational scene. i have a friend who used to buy eighths of weed there. i never actually used it myself---too sketched out about having drugs mailed to my house.

Weed is becoming increasingly legal across the globe. Many of the US states have legalized it and so if you are ready to travel, then you can legally purchase weed without any harassment from the cops. But the same isn't true with the other soft drugs such as LSD and coke. And ironically, lethal drugs such as fentanyl are popular in those states where soft drugs such as weed are not legal.

Today I woke up at 6am, hoping to watch a few overs of play before departing for office. But by the time I switched on the television, match was over. It was difficult to believe. They were at 144/4 yesterday. During the first session of play today, they added 47 runs in 16 overs, losing 6 of their remaining wickets. For me, it was difficult to digest at first..

The skeptical me would think that some criminal drug syndicates might have helped the FBI on the framing of Ross and the takedown of the Silk Road. It was becoming very big and was beginning to be a brand name for drugs and the Dread Pirate Roberts persona an icon on the internet.

Silk Road made available high quality drugs at cheap rates. Now just think who lost their profits as a result of this. A few that comes to my mind are Mexican drug cartels, street drug vendors, pharma giants, big banks such as HSBC (who help to launder the money from cartels).etc. Like it or not, but Silk Road helped to avoid thousands of deaths due to overdose.

As I can see, SIM Swap was used to conduct this fraud. I have seen in Reddit that a lot of users were blaming the victim, saying that he put too much coins in a single wallet. But I don't really agree with them. Sim swap is not easy to carry out, and rather than the user, the telecom company should take the blame. Here in India, SMS services are deactivated for 24-hours after the SIM swap. It helps to minimize fraud using this method.
