4781  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Scammers should be punished/Trust shown correctly on: May 13, 2017, 11:33:07 PM
How do you check if something is a scam or not? What if there are false positives/negatives? Such is the reason why scams are not moderated. As well as that, there are way too many things to check to see if they are scams or not. Just see how many active threads are in all of the Marketplace section.

I'm not saying that a scammer is not at fault for the scam and this will seem quite calloused, but anyone that is scammed by a person who has plenty of negative feedback deserves it. It's will be a learning experience and next time, they will do the research. Newbies will get scammed - that's the reality of it. There's nothing we can do except try to mitigate the effects by tagging accounts prophylactically or by trying to link alts (that a scammer may have).

Never be too trusting.
4782  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why is Lauda still considered trusted? on: May 13, 2017, 11:18:27 PM
Does this include you?
No kidding, I thought he was going to storm away to the mosque and go sulk.  Would be so nice if people followed through with their threats.  And these threads are garbage, and don't even deserve a bump.  Kilko is lucky he's not getting banned for trolling, starting all of these troll threads with baseless accusations.

You spoke too soon.

@Shelby,

It was a pleasure meeting you.
Lauda aka Theymos just banned me.

Good Luck with your Projects.  Smiley

Kiklo has left the Building.

FYI:
Why was Kiklo banned?
Because Lauda is Theymos!

FYI2:
What really sucks is this newbie account was only a few short of no longer being a newbie.  Tongue

kiklo WAS banned. And yet even after that he still has the nonsensical belief that Lauda and theymos are one.
4783  Economy / Reputation / Re: WTF!? Nobody cares if scammers are active here?? Admin??? on: May 13, 2017, 10:38:03 PM
yes and they give ( Lauda gave me ) red trust for loan that was repaid late. WHILE someone like yahoo & Lauda can do anything they want, I stopped using this forum already and urge everyone to leave too.

For someone who "stopped using this forum already" you sure do post a lot.

IT has all come down to signature campaigns and Lauda & yahoo want their own accounts to be in and innocents being out.

Of course. That's why they started SMAS. To use alternate accounts to spam the forum. Obviously Lauda and yahoo have the time to abuse accounts, spamming the forum as well as manage their campaigns. Do you seriously think that?

The forum has died the moment Lauda was added to DT and dusted when yahoo joined too.

Luckily for you, the forum hasn't died yet since neither of those are on DT yet.
4784  Other / Meta / Re: is this right that admin locked lizi coin ann thread alway on: May 13, 2017, 02:03:18 AM
lizi is a girl  name.

i love with her. i am minsing veryday

why  it be some outrage?

That just makes me incredibly uncomfortable. When you have these images stating things like, "The only thing on my mind is LiZi" and "But when I Love LiZi Yet you don't know that I love you" and it refers to an actual person, it seems obsessive.

Dedicating an entire altcoin to this person, posting an almost shrine-like meme collage? Downright unsettling.

shudders
4785  Other / Meta / Re: Reporting a user who constantly abuse. on: May 12, 2017, 08:24:53 PM
It's profanity and not abuse, a franc coin fan as it appears, if the same franky old scammer from yobit then no wonder, Wu with his little fellow along side Ver and Andresen all with small sized fellows Cheesy are f**king us for at least 2 years now and no one gives a f**k why would they give a f**k about some f**ker bombing you with f bombs now?

Did my f words bother you at all?

Profanity isn't allowed, yes. However, when you excessively use profanity in such a berating manner it takes away from your post. Replying to a thread for discussion just to tell someone that they're a fuckhead is not exactly something that contributes to it unless there is a reason for doing so that is expressed in the post.

1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]

For example, posting something like "you are dumb" will be deleted as it contains no meaningful content. However, if the post is somehwere along the lines of "You are dumb. This is wrong because this website/thread/etc. has explained it's not right", it's in most cases accepted.

Posts like this: Go fuck yourself you piece of shit scammer

seem a little bit useless.
4786  Economy / Reputation / Re: I repaid loan, lender is happy but Lauda is not ? on: May 12, 2017, 08:18:32 PM
But if I am controlling 1 million accounts then I am the one who is responsible, no ? Hence if you do good with one account does not give license to spam with other.

Why do you resort to a slippery slope hyperbole? Did you read what I stated? "It's not really fair to take his satire account's posts and claim that they represent The Pharmacist as a whole."
And in reality, despite the language convention used in the account's posts, not many of them are unconstructive. They respond to the topic and comment on something relevant.

And when you control 1 million accounts that spam, that is a representation of you.
4787  Economy / Reputation / Re: I repaid loan, lender is happy but Lauda is not ? on: May 12, 2017, 07:55:06 PM
If God existed, he 1) Wouldn't need a loan, and 2) Wouldn't be late in repaying it.  You can throw that stuff right in the commode.

You really have no clue how your business practices are perceived here, do you?  Hopefully wherever you go to, you'll realize why people don't trust you.

While you're there, you should figure out what 'spam' really is, because I don't think my posts really qualify for that.  Get a sense of humor while you're out shopping for things to improve yourself with, eh?

Are these quality posts ?? have a look : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=911416;sa=showPosts;start=80

terrible

I think they're pretty funny actually. Also it's not really fair to take his satire account's posts and claim that they represent The Pharmacist as a whole.

Without a doubt I can say that at least for the account, "The Pharmacist", most of the posts are constructive and contribute to the forum positively.
4788  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda has Broken the GuideLine of the Trust System by theymos own words, ban her on: May 12, 2017, 04:42:45 PM
(though the first wasn't a wrong, to begin with)

Oh really. Great. Check your Trust rating now.

Let’s clusterfuck.
That's fine and dandy. You don't have to trust me and you have the right to post that feedback. But am I wrong in saying that prophylactic trust feedback is a good thing?

If someone is known to have scammed someone, is it wrong to say that such an individual is a scammer?
4789  Other / Meta / Re: is this right that admin locked lizi coin ann thread alway on: May 12, 2017, 01:30:43 PM
Read the rules.

Also, those lizi images seem excessively creepy. If it were replaced with a person's name then for sure there would be some outrage. Roll Eyes
4790  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda has Broken the GuideLine of the Trust System by theymos own words, ban her on: May 12, 2017, 11:22:30 AM
I never traded anything with that Bitch.

By your own definition, you too broke the guideline by sending your retaliatory feedback despite never having a trade. Two wrongs don't make a right (though the first wasn't a wrong, to begin with).

If we are not allowed to place prophylactic feedback ratings then are we to wait until after scammers steal from their victims to warn others about their behavior? It doesn't exactly make sense here.

And wait, isn't Lauda = theymos? How would they possibly ban Lauda? Roll Eyes
4791  Economy / Reputation / Re: So Lauda is Theymos on: May 11, 2017, 11:36:04 AM
Lauda was blocked.  Wink

Why do you senselessly block someone when you're going to read what they say anyway? If you were trying to send a message, this is not the right way of doing it.

But you Theymos manipulate the trust to show red to other for your propaganda tactics.   Tongue

But then why don't I have a trust rating of -128 with all the negative feedback sent to me? Roll Eyes

4793  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: May 10, 2017, 01:47:21 PM
Thanks for information its really useful for a newbie . Based on the time and activity period we must spend more than one year to get senior level. Its really Good concept in one year continues participation will improve lots of knowledge.

Less than one year, actually. Since Sr. Member is at 240 activity, that amounts to 240 days. It's 17 activity periods that one would have to pass by to reach the rank.
4794  Other / Meta / Re: Notification new topic notification on: May 10, 2017, 11:29:13 AM
Ah, perhaps I had reached an incorrect conclusion. I know that the search tool searches through replies as well as thread posts but the anecdotal data given to me for setting the max day count to "9" had only returned to me topics, or so I thought.

Perhaps you want to try doing that: have the message age parameter very low.
4795  Other / Meta / Re: Notification new topic notification on: May 10, 2017, 03:28:07 AM
Cheers buddy where will i get the notification email?

Via your email you've put down on the forum every time a new topic is created. If you want to "watch" a board, you can go to your watchlist and then click the "watch board" option. Then add the ID 12 for Project Development.

Not too difficult to work out I imagine.
4796  Other / Meta / Re: Notification new topic notification on: May 10, 2017, 03:13:36 AM
Is there a way i can get a notification when a new topic is open in specific section of the forum such as Project Development ?

Is there perhaps a way to filter most recent latest new opened Topic by date?

Couldn't find anything so far.

Yes. The notify button at the top-right.

Also yes. Use the search button and select the Project Development board, and order by most recent topics first. For searching I recommend using the letter "e" as it is the most common letter in the English language. The usual wildcard * symbol does not appear to work: you can't search for everything.
4797  Economy / Reputation / Re: An Unfair Feedback on My Account! on: May 09, 2017, 08:56:23 PM
You could do a voice recording confirming your name on bitcointalk and speaking in both English and Chinese to add some more validity to it.

One mitigating factor is the fact that there were no password changes during the time of the language swap. But this is strange given that the account nearly instantly changed from pure Chinese to pure English which is extremely puzzling.

heading to da moon!!!

is one of the only posts that features English before the switch on August 4th.

I had not been on in months and I guess forgot my password and tried to many times. Account is locked now, any way to get it unlocked? Also when I look at my old profile it shows I was active today? Not sure why that is other than me trying to log in again?
Old account is aurel57
Thanks

Your account may have been compromised or be blocked from a secret question reset. It is likely the latter. Sign a message with one of your old addresses if they exist or try to prove in some way that it is yours, and message it to theymos.

4799  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Crypto-Games.net - scam! on: May 09, 2017, 12:18:01 AM
My advice to people, don't listen to the naysayers that its impossible to beat the odds, etc.  Play around with the streak calculator tool I posted, split your bankroll up, expect some variance, you'd be surprised what can result from it  Smiley Smiley

Variance is the only way that people will win.

I stand by this fact: as soon as you place a bet with a house edge, you're already losing. Suppose there is a 1% house edge and your odds are 50-50 with a winning payout of 1.98x your bet. Regardless of whether you win or not, half of the time you are returned 0 and half of the time you are returned 1.98. This means that on average you lose 1% of your wager.

This can be turned into another kind of game which is statistically identical to this type of wager but variance is no part of it:

For every 1 you wager, I will return to you 0.99

In typical gambling, there is variance, but don't fool yourself into thinking you can win in the long run - or at all. As soon as you wager, you're already losing.

This is not to say that you can't win when you gamble - of course you may hit lucky streaks - but overall you will find that there will be a slow decline and that the more you play, the more you lose.

Wager your bankroll, you'll have a return of 0.99 (times your bankroll).
Wager that, and you'll have a total of 0.9801.
Continue, and your balance will approach 0.

I meant feedback between the 2 sites as a player, but good to know that info, I don't plan to be an affiliate or share my methods.. Smiley

All that is significant are the games and house edge differences.
4800  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Crypto-Games.net - scam! on: May 08, 2017, 10:41:10 PM
I'm curious if other people have feedback about Crypto-games vs Bitsler...

I honestly don't even play at either very often so I'd consider myself impartial. I like both Lutpin and Baryom as people so that too is balanced.

If you are looking to earn the most out of the site (i.e. playing with the best odds) then you would want to choose Crypto-games's dice game considering they have a 0.8% house edge as opposed to Bitsler's 1% house edge.

Now, of course, both Bitsler and Crypto-games alike offer multiple games apart from basic dice, but overall Crypto-games generally offers a lower house edge than the Bitsler games. Purely based on this merit, I prefer Crypto-games since it offers Blackjack (my favorite game) though it is at a somewhat high edge with its settings. However, if you are seeking to gain profit through affiliates, then Bitsler (as of now) is superior given that they offer 50% of the house edge for each wager whereas Crypto-games offers 25% of the house edge for each wager.

There's probably more to say but both are good for their own reasons.
