4781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: July 13, 2022, 10:13:44 PM
I think the advertising of Owl, made them add to the volume because I've seen them having that ad on Coinmarketcap. And we all know how huge that platform is and that's why it's likely that those who have joined their airdrop became interested to know more about them.
BFG is also popular and I think if they become more aggressive in marketing just like how Owl did, they'll maximize its effect of it.
4782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: July 13, 2022, 09:14:21 PM
There are people who can manage to take that long. It's already been a practice that allows them to adjust and

enjoy or gaining a decent amount of money from this kind of activities. I'm not a fan of taking
longer time but like you I'm also have that same sentiment if I lose a lot or big amount can't
take the pressure and being demoralized is mostly the after effect of miscalculations.
That feeling is normal when you think that you did it wrong and made a wrong decision. I think the only change that you can notice at that time is that you probably have that shaking moment of your entire body like you can't move afterward because you don't know what to do.
It's a normal reaction of our body when we're that emotional and feeling that we're demoralized due to the losses that we've made and if that happens most of the time, I think you need to seek for professional medical help.
4783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not use Tether instead of Bitcoin ? on: July 13, 2022, 08:18:29 PM
Why do people not promote Tether instead of Bitcoin?
Are we promoting bitcoin? Yes, sort of but it doesn't look that we're all promoting it because you're in a bitcoin forum and majority here are holders of bitcoin.

Is it because there is no money to be made in Tether?
Bitcoin is also earned and there's not that much difference on it until you're holding both of them. Bitcoin is volatile and Tether isn't, many also from us are using Tether to keep our profits to be safe during these unstable times.

4786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you guys invest meme coins now? on: July 12, 2022, 11:33:35 PM
While I do have some meme coins. I've only bought a bit a year prior to the meltdown. I wouldn't touch it now though.
Well, just like everybody else that thinks that the time will come that they'll be up again. I'm only into those popular meme coins and not with any other random ones that everyone think it will go up.

I would fancy my chances with Shiba Inu and Dogecoin but not with any other memecoins at the moment.
The same idea and thought as mine, if I'll be investing into meme coins it will only be with the popular ones but mostly in Doge. But for now, I think I'll be sticking into my plan of having more btc.
4787  Economy / Services / Re: Paying $20/daily to run an ad campaign for us. on: July 12, 2022, 11:02:17 PM
Requirements:
- PC with stable internet connection for campaign setup.
- Credit or debit card to pay Google.
- Bitcoin wallet or PayPal to receive our payments.
There's already a red flag why there's a need to use a credit or debit card. I've applied for this type of marketing before and I was tricked and fooled.
I even submitted my ID for this type of task. I was young during that time and haven't realized that my identities were being used for the campaign of that company.
4788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Threshold of Loss in Gambling on: July 12, 2022, 04:30:12 PM
I can't remember how much it was but that's not that much compared to those actually addicted gamblers that would be fine losing $1k in just a single spin or roll.

the researchers found that gamblers are satisfied with small wins and will tolerate small losses but when they hit the threshold of loss, they will not play anymore.
Both are true, we're happy with small wins and that makes us content and want to gamble again sometime. And when we lose, it's the temporary halt that we have to make but after moving on, we'll gamble again from that loss.
4789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 12, 2022, 02:09:47 PM
If the rumors are true that Blackwater is a farm team, we cannot expect that their roster will remain intact. Look what happened to Ray Parks, Blackwater traded him to TNT and the team struggled after he got traded. So, the same scenario could happen, whoever their best player is.
Fans are tired of this type of rotation and cycle in the PBA. The PBA should do better and make the finals and semis open to all teams, not just MVP and SMC teams.
Blackwater is just getting good with their games and if this is going to happen to them, then, that's going to lose appetite for most fans that are becoming optimistic about them.
4790  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: waiting to buy lower? on: July 12, 2022, 12:11:36 PM
Nothing to fear with the current market if you have your coin way back, those who manage to hold from that long period are capable of extending their patience, there are chances that crypto can turn to more folds even in this current momentum the value still far from the last time high. It's your choice.
We're still far from that last ATH and what we're expecting is that, when the bull comes again, the ATH will be higher than that. And those that have bought at this level, they'll be the ones to celebrate it when it comes.
Most of us do really think off on breaking ATH which i couldnt blame on but considering on the movement that we do have and on the percentage drop as of this moment then it wont really be a smooth sail ride i would say which it is realistic if you do think off this way.We would be always targeting out on buying more lower but since bottom isnt predictable then we would really be always having those doubts and anxiety on what
decision we would made. Buy according to your own analysis and decisions but of course you cant blame someone on whatever you do base up your idea since not all would really be having the same perceptions
on where price could actually go. We do always go for the bottom price as possible but since its unpredictable then we are really prone on bad decision but as long the price
recovers then it wouldnt really be that an issue.
Can't blame the others that they've been too long waiting with the low. But to consider the market price, you don't really need to wait for the lowest as you buy.
You can buy at any time that you want and it all depends on your market plan and how long you're willing to stay. If you think that today's price is quite low, you buy and hold on to how long you're okay to be with it. It doesn't have to be that long and it doesn't have to be that short. And the matter is, you should be in profit.
4791  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: July 12, 2022, 09:40:06 AM
Ano po iyong ibig sabihin ng DCA? Baka applicable to para sakin.

nagsend din ng screenshot from bounties paid by bitsler. etc.,

4793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: July 11, 2022, 11:51:27 PM
the gambler was indeed at fault because he had used money that was not meant for him. but on the other hand the sender also has a little mistake sending large amounts of money but is not careful in writing the address to be sent.
Both of them have the fault. Think both of them that are responsible for their own mistakes.

in the end the gambler also admitted his mistake and intended to return the money he had used to gamble.
so the gambler is not completely wrong
It's still not rare to see people admitting that they're wrong and if it's about to be returned, that's a good call for his actions for being responsible. That won't make him lose something but that will show how he's willing to cooperate because the money wasn't him. Lessons are for both of them and they'll be better and won't do mistakes again that are the same with this incident.
4794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 11, 2022, 11:03:06 PM
Yeah, you don't want that to happen someday that your kid will blame you that they've became addicted in gambling because of you. Despite them the ones taking actions and decisions of their lives and when they've became miserable due to gambling, they'll be blaming you as the parent because you did nothing and they'll put the blame on your genes and they've just inherited it. Sounds funny but it could happen because there are people that are just looking for someone to blame for for their misfortune.
That is true, and also a good reason to be careful with who you introduce to gambling, directly or indirectly, because if people you referred have any issues later with their betting behavior, you are the one who is going to be blamed for everything. Funny thing is that even when someone isn't introduced or incentivized to gamble by anyone, they still find a way to avoid their own mistakes by blaming gambling itself!
Yes, much better to be not involved with anyone's interest in gambling because you know what potentially can happen afterward. As you gamble, you understand the concept and possible results when you gamble but for others, you just can't predict what can happen to them and it's unknown.

But after these studies explaining gambling behavior can be inherited, there are serious chances it can become a new trend among problem gamblers to justify their actions and avoid consenting any faults on their side...
Well, they can make use of it as an excuse but effect and result will still show on what type of gambler they are and they just can't blame forever with their own fault.

The industry is here to give opportunities for people who can work with it and can live in any manner the industry will bring them.
It's a market for everybody and those that have the appetite to risk while it's low, they understand the cycle and the market on how it works.
4796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you advise a focus on indicators or the market itself for a newbie. on: July 11, 2022, 02:04:54 PM
There's no guarantee with all of those indicators but I'd say for a newbie, it's not just all about indicators but also the fundamentals. Sometimes, it's really surprising that our indicators don't really work and expect it to be like that at most times.
I'll also say that focus on gaining more experience first and they'll get to learn where they're good and comfortable about all of these strategies in trading if they want to pursue it.
4797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Grand Lotto Winner on: July 11, 2022, 11:27:16 AM
Congratulations to both of them and I wish that they'll spend that money wisely and they won't go broke after a few years just like what I've watched with those past lotto winners.
I think it's also possible that the announcement where they've won could also be a trick and not serious to hide the identity of the winner. But if it is for real, it should be kept confidential.
4798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: P2E crypto - which ones are good and worth it? on: July 11, 2022, 08:12:35 AM
I highly agree.  Take AXIE Infinity as an example. Axie Infinity had a huge userbase and had been popular for some time now.  There are times that the inflow outweigh the outflow when the project got popular but it wasn't sustainable because at one point those who are involved in the inflow will somehow be involved with the outflow in the future.  And when that happen, the reward token called SLP took the hit.  Dumping from $0.399727 down to $0.0039.  The same thing will happen to all P2E games that have the same reward system as Axie.  Unless the game developer implements in-game purchases and forever in-demand, and set the profit of those purchases to support the token.  Then the result will be different.
I think even if the devs have made a perfect economy for Axie, they just can't skip the strength of a bear market. And we all know that most projects are drowning and affected when it comes to the bear market. It's true that many of these P2E/NFT games are hard to be sustained if the userbase has become huge and that's what other projects have to learn from these successful P2E games. I don't know if they will still be a thing in the next years.
4799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Recent Experience at a Land-Based Casino on: July 10, 2022, 11:41:31 PM
If the owner doesn't really have a sense of sympathy and he's all in for the money and profit, he will fire the employee that has stopped one of his customers from gambling because of the situation.
But if the owner has compassion and understanding, that won't be a big deal to him. This happens in some casinos too when they see someone can't handle the addiction, they're banning them from entering the premises.

I don't think it is a matter of sympathy.  It is a matter of professionalism but of course, the owner can always give a warning to the employee, that would probably settle it, and possibly the employee won't do that thing again.  What happens, happens, that the employee with his act of rudeness should accept whatever the Casino owner decided while on the other hand if it was the first offense of the employee then the owner can just give the employee a warning.
Owner or the person in charge can follow what he thinks is right. He can have sympathy and stop that customer per se if he's certainly cannot stop himself.
If they think that it's rudeness, on the case and example of OP is different. They're relatives and that's why he has to stop what the customer has been doing because of real world problems and obligations he has to face. That's where the sympathy goes and that's why if there's really no concern on them, whether it's the owner or just an employee, I'm sure that it's understandable whatever they choose to decide.
4800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 10, 2022, 10:47:53 PM
Yes, we all have the freedom to continue or not. But with the younger ones today, they're easy become hooked on something they do like gambling.
And when they're there being addicted, they can't stop and handle it all of it and that's how they are ending up miserably because it's hard for them to admit that they're addicted and they can't help themselves to get out of it.
It is the fact when we do something good we credit ourself and when something bad happens we blame others.
Likewise - if we a winner gambler - we will take the credit and if we are a looser gambler we will blame others. most of the the time we also keep fighting with our parents for all the bad which comes in life. That is such a mess. But one thing is for sure - gambling is not transfer through DNA.
