4781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some ridiculous suspicious projects with zero value! on: February 23, 2020, 04:21:39 PM
There are a lot of scam projects out there now and it is difficult to be able identify the genuine ones. The problem now is even the professionals  in this can not really differentiate the scame from the genuine ones. This as a factor has set a boundary to some people coming into crypto.

In many of these projects, the original idea is a very good one. But the problem is with the implementation. There is hardly anything that we can do, if the promoters vanish with all the funds that was collected. Only a few projects agree to use escrow to store the funds. By the time we are able to identify a certain project as a scam, the funds will be lost already.

Wow. Good comeback by SA. At one point AUS needed 27 runs from 20 balls and they ended up scoring only 14 runs out of the 20 balls. Exceptional bowling from Nigidi and Rabada. Didn't expect SA to win by 12 runs when Warner was still in crease.

The Australian lower order looked very weak. Matthew Wade failed once again.. and I wasn't expecting much from him. I would have liked if the Australians sent Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins ahead of Ashton Agar, because these two are big hitters. They could have sent either of them, when Mitchell Starc got out. As of now, Matthew Wade is a liability for Australia.

^^ Yeah, very dim chances. but who knows? Miracles does happens in cricket. To win this test match India needed the Dravid-Lakshman's Eden Garden inning, but they failed. I have no issue when team losing the game but for fuck sake at-least show some back bone and fight back. you are NO 1 test side for a reason.

Its disappointing when you wake up early morning then watching your team struggling like a minnow and going down without fight.

Well... who knows? Perhaps either Rishabh Pant or Ajinkya Rahane will play an innings similar to what Dravid-Laxman did back then. I am watching cricket since I was 4 or 5 years old, and I'll tell you one thing. Historically, New Zealand bowlers have fared poorly against lower order batsmen. I still remember a record stand between Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad sometime in 1999, against New Zealand at Hamilton.
4784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: February 23, 2020, 03:52:44 PM
No, it is not safe, Since i voted for Karachi, the Karachi lost.  Now look at the current match. Lahore team was not so strong so i picked Islamabad, but as soon as i picked Islamabad, the Lahore team is playing well and may score 175+.  Cheesy

And i am at the last  Roll Eyes

Lahore made 182 (7 runs higher than your own prediction/projection). I had pointed out in my previous post that Lahore have some of the best batsmen in the PSL. Fakhar Zaman and Chris Lynn are world class hitters. I didn't specifically mentioned Mohammad Hafeez, but he was the one who destroyed Islamabad United with his 98 (n.o) today.

What is there to LOL about?

How were you able to determine he is a medicore baller? Have you watched him play in any earlier international matches cause if he has not been seen by the SA team earlier then he cannot be classified as an average spinner. They might have not studied him.

Further an average spinner cannot take 5 wickets in a fluke while playing as a debutant. What this guy does today will be interesting to watch.

This is not the first time that Ashton Agar is representing Australia and I was just pointing out that he doesn't have any noticeable performances to date. He is noway near Nathan Lyon or even Zampa.

BTW, lets just focus on the current match. Two overs remaining and Australia need another 20 runs (it was 25 from 3 overs, but Ngidi conceded only 5 runs in the 18th over). Warner is still there... along with Wade.
4786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too scared to go for altcoins? on: February 23, 2020, 01:08:18 PM
No need to use sensational words such as "scared". Investors may be a bit more cautious with the relatively smaller coins, after all the scams we had recently. You can't call them cowards for that.  Grin

If you check the exchange charts, it can be found that there is still a healthy demand for various established cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, Litecoin and even Binance Coin. But the smaller coins are not doing that good.

Missed the Sri Lanka vs West Indies match. Checked the scorecard only after reading the posts here. Never thought that it will turn out to be such an exciting match.. The partnership between Wanindu Hasaranga and Lakshan Sandakan changed the course of the match. It's a three-match series, and therefore West Indies need to win both the remaining matches.
4788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 23, 2020, 12:50:35 PM
I don't think they need a miracle or anything. The Indian bowlers can destroy the NZ batting lineup if they bowl the right lengths. All the batsmen need to do at this stage is to drag the game for as long as possible and post a target close to 250 minimum.

Sharma and Ashwin are already performing currently. If Bumrah joins the party, they can do wonders. Also, if it starts raining again, it could possibly end up in a draw. This is why test results are always tough to predict.

Hmm... still saying that there is a chance for India?

India is still trailing by 39 runs, And four of their batsmen are back in the pavilion. Let's assume that by some miracle the remaining Indian players manage to score another 150 runs. That means that New Zealand would need 110-115 to win. Even if there is rain intervention (according to weather prediction there is zero chance of rain), I think that New Zeland would be left with enough overs to score this many runs.
4789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As a Bounty hunter, don't expect too much on: February 23, 2020, 12:44:41 PM
I think it's natural that bounty hunters hope for projects that are done because bounty hunters use their time and work. But indeed the conditions now are not like in 2017 where many bounty hunters get fairly large results

Well.. I was active here during 2017, and I was fortunate enough to grab some good rewards from various bounty campaigns. Back then, some of the signature campaigns paid me as much as $1,000 for just 4 weeks, while even the social media bounties had an average payout rate of ~$100 per campaign. Those days are long gone.. and my advice is to look for some other avenue to collect cryptocurrency and move on.
4790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 23, 2020, 12:36:33 PM
Ashton agar nailed it 5 wickets for 24. He is the main reason why SA could not even pass the 100 run score. Disappointing to see the whole middle order getting wiped out. It was just one sided match.

LOL.. A mediocre spinner such as Ashton Agar could destroy South Africa. That says a lot about the quality of their batting lineup. And their playing XI had star players such as Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis and David Miller.

BTW... the second match has started and this time South Africa is batting first. I don't have any faith in any South African batsmen other than de Kock. If they can build a total of 160+, then there is a chance for them.

At the same time, the South African Women's team is playing against the Australian women, at the Women's T20 World Cup.
4791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to BNB after 5 years? on: February 23, 2020, 12:29:12 PM
Are you kidding? BNB coin is used among the whole Binance ecosystem such as Binance Chain, Binance DEX, Binance lending and margin platform, also the number of BNB constantly decreasing so people are motivated to hold it.  Smiley

It is true that every year they burn a certain amount of BNB and therefore the circulating supply is declining. But this is not being reflected in the exchange rates. By mid-2019, the prices were around $40 per coin, which declined to $12 per coin six months later. Now BNB is undergoing some sort of recovery and the prices have raised to $22. But still, it is a long way away from the ATH.
4792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 23, 2020, 12:22:11 PM
Bangladesh is on fire as in respond to Zimbabwe innings they are 228/3 and just trail by 37 runs. Najmul got out at 71 and Captain Haque is batting on 73. Zimbabwe from here have to pick up quick wickets if they have to be in the match else Bangladesh will win this quite comfortably. No blowers are able to put pressure on batsman which is real cause of worry for Zimbabwe.

I am surprised that there is still so much interest for matches involving Zimbabwe. It is a dying team and in a few years, it will end up like Kenya. The Zimbabwe cricket board receives $12 million per year from the ICC, and this amount means that some sort of cricketing structure is still alive there. But if you take out the players who are now based abroad (Ervine, Williams, Taylor.etc), the team will not be able to compete against even the lower ranked associate sides.
4793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason behind ALTCOINS not bouncing Back on: February 23, 2020, 12:16:01 PM
That's right, and usually when bitcoin starts to rise slowly, some of the top altcoins often follow in the footsteps of bitcoin, so when that happens many traders want to take advantage of the opportunity.

This sort of rise with the altcoin is not sustainable in the long run. The altcoins can't predate or poach on Bitcoin for ever. Eventually, the upward momentum will come to an end and there will be a large correction. I am not hearing about any major development from the altcoin market for sometime. If the prices go up despite this, then it is not going to last long.
4794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: February 23, 2020, 12:10:04 PM
I am going with Karachi and Islamabad in today's matches and Lahore team look the weakest of all.

As of now, it looks like your money is safe for the first match. The Quetta Gladiators need another 84 runs from 57 balls and they have already lost three of the most important batsmen. Jason Roy failed yet again, while Shane Watson got a good start but couldn't built upon it. Karachi Kings are going to top the table, with 4 points from 2 matches.

The second match may be closer than what it looks at this point. The Lahore Qalandars do have good players such as Haris Rauf (who performed really well during the BBL), Ben Dunk and Fakhar Zaman. On top of that, Seekkuge Prasanna and David Wiese can be very handy in T20 format.
4795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have some funds to invest-- How do I make a good decision? on: February 22, 2020, 06:58:53 AM
I personally look at the volume first which is very important, liquidity second, the community third, and the team behind it if there is one (like bitcoin don't have one, so there are ones like that out there) at the last because team is not that important, if a coin is really good, it goes way beyond the team, look at litecoin and Charlie Lee for example.

Have to agree with you on this. Litecoin is one of those cryptocurrencies which have been performing better than expected, despite the drawbacks in the algorithm and the technology that supports it. As you pointed out, the biggest advantage with Litecoin has been its team (led by Charlie Lee). The LTC team have been working hard for the past few years to remove the security issues and bugs and as a result they are well ahead of the "third generation" cryptocurrencies such as Cardano and NEO.

New Zealand is leading by 31 runs, Kane Williamson missed his century by 11 runs and Ross Taylor too lost his wicket after getting a good start, Ishant Sharma is the pick up bowler for India but the rest of the bowlers were disappointing and the fielding is sub par and if New Zealand is able to built a good first innings lead then India will be in trouble and the match could end in the fifth day.

Leading by 51 runs with 5 wickets in hand at the end of second day's play. The would have been in an even better position, but the wicket of Ross Taylor changed the course of the match. If the Indian bowlers can limit the New Zealand lead to less than 100, then they will be having a chance in this match. Anyway, batting fourth can be very tricky at the Basin Reserve.
4797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too scared to go for altcoins? on: February 22, 2020, 05:35:56 AM
in my opinion bitcoin cash can be a hot asset this year. starting from the pump that occurred at the end of January, and now back down again. but it is a sign that bitcoin cash can go higher. I don't think it's easy to choose Bictoin Cash as another option for investment.

Investing in BCH can be very risky, if you ask me. It has gone up quite a bit so far this year, but the spike was mostly due to the drama surrounding Craig Wright's court case and its outcome. The coin is doing well when compared to the other coins, as the low transaction fee makes it attractive for the users to make payments. But the roll out of ETH 2.0 can hit BCH in this sector.

As expected the absence of Jadeja is showing up, both in the batting and bowling departments. Ashwin has failed to pick any wickets, but that was expected. He loses his venom in overseas conditions. The pitch looks very green, and it surprises me that Bumrah and Shami have gone wicketless till now. Ishant has picked all the three wickets and he has bowled in a well-disciplined manner.
4799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 22, 2020, 05:07:42 AM
In recent years they have many on and off field issues which are hurting them and they will hurt them as well because they are not doing any thing for settling things quota system and too much inference from politicians killing merit system they will more down in coming days if they have solution of this all.

Now it has reached a point of no return. More than 50 players (many of them with international quality) have moved to England under the Kolpak system, to play county cricket. Smaller numbers have moved to other countries, such as New Zealand and Australia. These players are not going to come back, even if they change the selection policy. Imagine a South African team, consisting of players such as Neil Wagner, Marnus Labuschagne, Simon Harmer, David Wiese, Hardus Viljoen, Morné Morkel and Duanne Olivier. They would have ranked among the top 3 sides.

Edit: 33 South African players are playing in English county championship currently. Out of them, 14 are on Kolpak. Another 19 were initially on Kolpak, but now have British citizenship and therefore doesn't need Kolpak. The remainder have retired from cricket.

4800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about bounties on: February 21, 2020, 04:27:02 PM
After all the researches it will depends on how lucky you are, bounties aren't nothing but a gambling Haven now, many projects will keep failing and few will be successful, I hope we keep seeing bounties that are listed and trading like emirex bounty

If you ask me, there are far better things to do apart from participating in the bounties. If you are that much determined to get some cryptocurrency in your wallets, then you can do freelancing and convert the fiat earnings to crypto using any of the exchanges. But my first advice to all the newbie and junior members would be to get some merit to your name, so that you will become eligible to take part in the signature campaigns that make the payment in Bitcoin. Having patience is very necessary for this.
