482  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin & die Steuer - FAQ on: October 31, 2020, 11:50:06 AM

Schalke will not lose today Smiley (...) +0.25 @1.90+ should increase your betting bank.

Half won is better than lost. Probably not a deserved result, but in Schalke we trust Cool At some point they should start collecting 3 points though, because just draws won't get you anywhere. Next week they play @Mainz......

Talking about Mainz - another team on life support - I am putting my money on them today to get a point or more in Augsburg. This is the same gut feeling as with Schalke yesterday and +0.25 for @1.94 looks good to me. The odds for Augsburg have gone up during the week, but I don't know the reason other than maybe a lot of people having the same gut feeling as me and Mainz really improved a lot after coach change. They should have won against Gladbach or at least secure the draw, but lack of confidence saw them leaving the stadium empty-handed after 90 minutes again.
Augsburg themselves weren't very successful lately, but against strong opposition (Wolfsburg, Leverkusen, Leipzig), so no reason to worry just yet. This is a game between two evenly matched teams, where I think Mainz just wants it more today and maybe luck will be on their side for once as well.

The rest of the games/odds in GER1+2 don't catch my attention. Frankfurt should win against Bremen, Bayern will be without Lewa, but this shouldn't matter against poor Cologne, Dortmund will have some trouble against defensively strong Bielefeld, but one goal from Haaland will be enough and Gladbach vs Leipzig is kind of unpredictable as the odds suggest.
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking: Sources that show information about suspended/injured missing players on: October 31, 2020, 09:54:47 AM
Such thing doesn't exist for all I know (and I wouldn't like if there was such a website Grin). You would have to go to different places to find this information and an all-in-one website would never be as reliable as dedicated sites are, and even those are not always super reliable.

US Sports is probably best organized, since they have so many stats for everything, here is for example the injury report for MLB and NFL week 7. For soccer Flashscore has built a large database over the years and you can find information about missing/injured players for the big leagues there.

Basketball (non-NBA), Volleyball, Ice Hockey (non-NHL) etc. are really small sports and you will maybe find some overviews on the leagues websites, but in 95+% of the cases not. There you would have to go the team sites, fan forums, local newspapers etc.

If your research is related to betting, then I can tell you, that the lack of such an overview of all sports in one site is a good thing, since it gives you the possibility to gain an edge, if you put in the work and search for information that is not easily accessible. If you just go to page XY and see that two superstars from an european ice hockey team are missing, then everyone has this information. If you (can only) get this information by reading a local newspaper, then you are one of few persons, who has this information and can get valuable odds.
485  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin & die Steuer - FAQ on: October 31, 2020, 09:26:10 AM

(...) Oder was spricht dagegen?

As usual we are waiting for some people, who are still running their algo's to determine the outcomes of this weeks games, but here is what I have collected thus far.

With @notblox1 we lured a new trooper into this thread in the search of fame and some additional BTC, welcome Smiley I heard people got some freebets from Steve for being active in this thread and so I decided to add a logo to my little table, hope this is ok @sportsbet.io.

Also automated the table a bit more, just disregard the Result = 3 for the moment, it's for technical reason (read: my incompetence regarding Excel).

We found consensus for Chelsea, Atalanta, ManCity and Barca - and basically for Dortmund, since this is a lock a for me, but my friend thinks he is super smart. Other than that most outcomes are covered; Fiorentina, Bielefeld and Genoa are very unlikely to win according to us pros Grin And another MM, where none of the users in here have the exact same picks.

Good luck.

ty we have only 2/3 different picks I think say whaaaaat. Are those also your friend's dummy picks?

Hehe, yes friends pick again, but it's actually 7 different picks Grin
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 30, 2020, 05:53:11 PM
Schalke will not lose today Smiley Apart from this maybe bold and pretty generic statement, I also think that the value is on Schalke odds-wise today. If they'll win or draw is tbd, but +0.25 @1.90+ should increase your betting bank.

I agree that it's hard to make a point for Schalke here though other than the value aspect of these odds Roll Eyes But lets try to find some positives for Schalke: They are pretty healthy, only Fährmann, Kabak and Serdar will not be available today. I saw some improvements lately - they held a 0-0 in Dortmund for 55 minutes Grin - and the new coach, even if maybe not the saviour of Schalke, should have some success sooner or later. Schalke has a pretty good home record against Stuttgart and the team from Baden-Wuerttemberg has already won their first two away games after promotion, which is quite unusual - they only beat Mainz and Hertha though, two teams with a lot of issues. Quality-wise I still see Schalke superior than Stuttgart, it's just a matter of getting their act together on the pitch.

Not a lot of hard facts, more gut feeling all in all. Looks very draw-ish, but my call is 2-1 for Schalke with a late winning goal for the probably most hated team in Germany after Bayern Cheesy

(...) so Osnabrück +0.25 is my pick, which should have some value Smiley

Half won this one. Darmstadt was dominant in first half and Osnabrück in second half. They had a few chances to make it 2-1, but a draw was the fair result in this overall as expected boring game.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: October 29, 2020, 09:51:20 PM
NFC East is getting quite some attention Grin

Here are the "live-odds" from betonline:

Source: https://www.betonline.ag/sportsbook/futures-and-props/nfl-futures

I think we should look at the schedules as well, when trying to figure out which of these crap teams will host a playoff game. Cowboys/Eagles still have 4 divisional games, which is supposed to be the easiest way to get a W. Eagles have a super tough schedule outside of the divisional games; Seattle, GB, Saints super hard, @Browns and @Cardinals not easy too. Washington has the easiest schedule, where they could get extra non-divisional W's against Lions/Bengals/Panthers. Cowboys only have Vikings/Bengals as potential W's, if everything goes according to plan, but they are both away games.

Washington @4.5 is probably a bit too high, but I just can't Cheesy

Whats everyone take on this Game?

I like the under here, since Falcons Defense was a bit better in recent games and everyone is expecting some shootout, but I don't see it. You have to go all the way back to 2011 to find a game between these two in Bank of America Stadium which had 51+ points. Actually in the last 25 games @Carolina, the total stayed 23 times under todays line Wink Looks different @Atlanta, but somehow these teams always have low-scoring affairs in North Carolina. But I don't like to bet unders, maybe someone else finds this information useful though Smiley
490  Economy / Gambling / Re: Exbet is LIVE >> The Bitcoin Betting Exchange [exbet.io] on: October 29, 2020, 05:45:02 PM
What do you guys think? What is the best, most punchy strapline for Exbet?

Might be a bit misleading, because although it's a bit different than your normal sportsbook, this is not and shouldn't be only for pros. Even betting exchanges, which normally attract the more advanced punters, need a whole lot of newbies, losers, semi-pros, fun and recreational punters, because the sharks don't want to play only against themselves of course Wink

"Winners welcome" is nice, but not sure, if Betfair will be happy with that Grin I would maybe keep it as neutral, interesting and inviting as possible, something like "Sports Betting Platform". And maybe with smaller font beneath "Be Your Own Bookmaker" to cover the "interesting" part.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 28, 2020, 12:11:00 PM
The postponed game between Osnabrück and Darmstadt will take place today in GER2 and these odds are Huh Osnabrück is doing really good this season, which I didn't expect after their coach left for Hamburg and the 2nd season after promotion being traditionally the more difficult one. But looks like they don't care about such things and they are unbeaten this season and already played the likes of Heidenheim and Hannover. Darmstadt is doing good as well and they are always a pain in the ass to play (just like Osnabrück themselves). Don't get why Darmstadt should be favourite here, also considering last seasons result when these teams met at Osnabrück: 4-0 for home team. Away leg was 2-2, but Osnabrück led deep into 2nd half.

This game looks very draw-ish to me, but Osnabrück should be favourite here at home today, so Osnabrück +0.25 is my pick, which should have some value Smiley
492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Red Cards in Football and what they do to the odds and the outcome on: October 28, 2020, 11:26:21 AM
Barcelona actually scored two more goals after the red card. Crazy right? But that's understandable because it was a defender who was taken out of the game, their attack was untouched.

Well. the difference between Barca and Ferencvaros is so huge, you will find something similar only in domestic cup games Wink Barca could also beat them playing with only 9 players for 90min I guess.

I have no idea what this thread will lead to; if I will be able to find any pattern or angle to extract some profits out of the games with red cards. Every game and every league is unique and I chose the four biggest leagues to start this journey and monitor things to get a better feel. These teams in these leagues are quite competitive (well, Schalke Grin) and well known, so you a) get a good picture in general and b) it's easier for other users to follow.

But the sample size is still so tiny, that for the moment I am still just collecting data and not make any assumptions. Laying next goal for the not-red-carded team could be valuable I think, but you would have to take profits on the run, i.e. hedge inplay. It can take some time in the game until the advantage of having one player more finally works out, but super hard to get it right with hedging. So lay next goal, hedge a bit after 10min, a bit more after 10min etc. could work. Doing something in the 1X2 market doesn't look too promising from what I saw until now, some side markets are a better approach maybe.

And once there is some confidence and pattern in these 4 leagues, I might look for CL, EL, lower leagues etc. But thats a long way to go Cheesy

494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Red Cards in Football and what they do to the odds and the outcome on: October 27, 2020, 09:18:51 AM
Another boring weekend with basically no new insights Roll Eyes

England

Southampton - Everton
Red Card: Everton in 72nd minute, score 2-0
Final score: 2-0

I watched that game and Southampton was happy with just defending the score and Everton was pathetic the whole game anyway.

Fulham - Crystal Palace
Red Card: Fulham in 88th minute, score 0-2
Final Score: 1-2

Late red card and normally nothing happens then anymore with the game decided, but Fulham actually scored a goal one man down in 95th minute.

Spain

Valladolid - Alaves
Red Card: Valladolid in 21st minute, score 0-0
Final score: 0-2

Alaves took advantage nicely of the early red card. Such an early red card is really brutal for any team. I actually took a screenshot of the next goal market at halftime:

Source: https://orbitexch.com/

So around 1.75 for Alaves to not score the next goal.

Atletico Madrid - Betis
Red Card: Betis in 74th minute, score 1-0
Final score: 2-0

This is a typical example of what you can expect; Betis pushed for the equalizer and ran into a counter-attack.

Italy

Cagliari - Crotone
Red card: Crotone in 48th minute, score 3-2
Final score: 4-2

Similar to Atletico game. Didn't watch it, but Crotone was probably looking to defend the 2-3 for the time being to stay in the game as long as possible and start pushing only in the last ~10 minutes. Cagliari scored the deciding 4-2 in 84th minute then. Laying next goal Cagliari would have resulted in some trading profit, but I wouldn't want to make this one green.

Germany

Leipzig - Hertha Berlin
Red Card: Hertha in 50th minute, score 1-1
Final score: 2-1

Hertha was really doing good as huge underdog until the red card came and even then Leipzig had their problems and it needed a penalty to get the win for them. Playing nearly a full half one man down is never easy in an away game and Leipzig is a good team with lots of quality players. Expected result after that red card.

The red-carded teams were doing poor this round and each of them were losing their games in the end. Goals for after red card: 1, goals against: 5, no score change after red card only in one game.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: October 27, 2020, 08:49:56 AM
I am waiting for you picks and copying them to the letter, you have found a football savant and we have to get a piece of that action.

That friend has caught some football-betting fire and already did his magic for next weekend. He was following all the games last weekend, refreshing the leaderboard frequently and was super mad with the outcome Grin Will also do the Betnomi predicitions for me and was super nervous: "I need the odds for the games or I can't analyze them ! Where can I see the odds ? Where can I see the odds ??!!??!!" Cheesy

AS Roma - ACF Fiorentina
Aston Villa - Southampton FC
Barnsley - Watford FC
Borussia Mönchengladbach - RB Leipzig
Burnley FC - Chelsea FC
CR Flamengo - Sao Paulo FC SP DRAW
FC Crotone - Atalanta BC
Sheffield United - Manchester City FC
Deportivo Alaves - FC Barcelona
Schalke 04 - VfB Stuttgart
Atlethic Bilbao - Sevilla FC
Manchester United FC - Arsenal FC
DSC Arminia Bielefeld - Borussia Dortmund DRAW
Sampdoria Genua - Genoa CFC
Wolverhampton Wanderers FC - Crystal Palace FC

I have to say I disagree strongly with the draw in Bielefeld, since Dortmund will crush them imo. Not too happy with Arsenal, Aston Villa and Bilbao as well, but lets see.

mitch has the highest average here, but then he hasn't been through tough runs like we have =p.

It's actually only 6.5 average for him, there was some issue with the formula, which I corrected, but I forgot to make a new screenshot afterwards. Edited the updated table in now.

Damn ty! I saw the thread here last night and was sure you'd at least share the prize, it's SO frustrating to be just 1 pick away from it all, isn't it?

It is Grin I was running so bad all the time and was super happy to be in contention after ages again, but after leea had two game cushion with Lyon & Flamengo to go, I gave up, because I thought no way leea does not have Lyon winning. But he actually had X or 2, so I was in the mix again. And having a draw in the last game is always good to make up some ground, because just like you a lot of people leave out the draw....but leea had the draw as well.

Already told that dumb friend to do the picks for this weeks MM as well. But I guess he will do way worse this time^^

Damn tyKiwanuka.. so close... Still happy to see someone around from here to catch the prize. Would be great to have leea-1334 here around as well in Bctalk MM group  Cheesy.

Thanks, yes, at least it's not some anonymous stealing our prizes this time Cheesy Next merit is yours.

Looks like some miscommunication, but tbh figment, your posts didn't indicate to me as well, that you are definitely requesting a refund. For me it sounded like you are just thinking about donating, but never stated clearly that you want those chips back - á la "please send the 2800 chips back to......". If it was clear, I would have recalculated the extra prizes for grand final and lottery beforehand for sure.

I think you have to agree, that these statements are not a 100% clear request to refund the chips:

(...)and i was hoping to donate the extra fees to the tourney @Globb0 is (hopefully) organizing.

tbh, i'd rather donate the 0.0028 BTC i overpaid in fees to a one off or monthly forum game like Globb0 wants to organize:

But anyway, lets not make a drama out of this. I feel kind of responsible for this series and the well-being of all participants Grin, so if you PM me a BTC address, I will send you the 0.0028 BTC, you and efialtis shake hands and we can move on Smiley
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: October 26, 2020, 07:14:12 AM
Well, unfortunately not Tongue Winner had the X in Flamengo game as well and wins with 11. The moment Newcastle scored that equalizer I knew it was not gonna happen. Would have been fun to win with Flamengo scoring in 95th minute, but now it looks like leea-1334 won, gratz, if you read this Smiley

I have a nice streak in the middle there, but at the top and bottom it's a bit red unfortunately^^

All-time stats:

It's kind of amazing that our averages are that close, but just shows that you get the easy ones right most of the time and then get lucky with picking the correct ones here and there.

You will probably end up one game behind the winners...(...)

Good call Cheesy

You deserve it with all the work you put into setting up the table graphics for us all to enjoy the competition a bit more each week!

Thank you, rdbase. It's fun doing these tables and some statistics. And if people in here like looking at and get more excited for the MM with it, even better.

Seattle -3.5 tonight vs Arizona. Thinking about taking Seattle in this one. Any thoughts on tonights game?

If this was a non-divisional game, I would take it. But it is actually a divisional game and I think these odds are about right, so no value. I still don't know what to think about the Cards this year. Apart from week1, where they got the upset @SF, they beat the teams they are supposed to beat in convincing fashion and lost when they met some tougher opposition (Panthers, Lions). Seattle is the best team they will face up to this point this season and their record in last years at home against them isn't something to cheer on: 0-7-1, with quite some blowout wins. I think it will be a close game; ARZ should go into this pretty confident after their last two W's and their defense is pretty good and should keep them in the game.

Not sure, if this helps you with your decision Grin For me this is no bet - at least pre-match. There is always something (better) to be found in-play in these kind of games.

Mixed day for me. Bengals with another tough loss allowing CLE to drive down the field with one minute left playing this ever shitty prevent defense. If it prevents nothing, then just play normal defense and let them try to beat you with a big play. If they succeed, then so be it.

TEN-PIT over was a push, although should have went over. But Big Ben decided to throw an INT on 3rd & 12 late in the game within easy FG range Roll Eyes 49ers won and I am waiting for another FG in Vegas to win the over there as well.
