Can NXT do more?

What features are coming soon?  I know the exchange is up and running now...

What should we expect in the coming months??

someone just opened up a short sale window, and rumor has it there is going to be a forex futures exchange coming soon.

also I'm working on the Virtual Corporations feature.

Im less interested in the price and more interested in what you can do with the technology.  We're already getting financial types coming in and building instruments.  It's like the wild west right now, so it's a bit risky and the stakes are high.  Also very thrilling!

no that wasn't me.  I basically determined early on that Ripple had no organizational appeal, got tired of arguing against renta-boosters and marketing droids and just let the thing burn itself out.

here's a fun game, try to find a forum posting by me where I am anything but highly critical of Ripple.

they should run a fun promo.  You can cash in a million XRPs for a t-shirt that says:  "I WAS AN XRP MILLIONARE AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS LOUSY T-SHIRT"

I really liked David Schwartz' forum icon though.

after a while though he stopped talking to me because I asked too many hard questions.

maybe this song will help cheer everyone up:

I know I'm going to miss these guys.  XRP giveaways, anonymous shill forum postings, flip-flopping on their licensing status, etc.  Almost brings brings a tear to my eye.

as I mentioned above I think this is direct response to ShortNXT.

it appears to be a response to the release of ShortNXT which is the first pure P2P Crypto Derivative.  You can purchase short positions(NXT is the underlying) on the NXT network

still wondering if any post is not about NXT   Grin

can I buy derivatives on Bitcoin?

so far I'm pretty sure not a single person in this thread actually knows what a Derivative is.

http://dcmagnates.com/belgium-regulator-fsma-issues-ban-of-virtual-currency-based-derivatives-effective-july-1/

Quote
The Financial Markets and Services Authority (FSMA) has announced a new regulatory edict that will effectively ban the use of derivatives based on virtual currencies such as Bitcoin as of July 1, 2014, according to an FSMA statement.

Belgium’s paramount regulatory organization FSMA has been keen to police a variety of financial instruments as of late, including binary options. However, the most recent FSMA regulatory announcement takes a far more pointed stance towards virtual currencies.
