Coin becomes junk (in your word) if a project fails. Coin is valuable as long as the project is performing well. It is not like that a project produce bad coin. The project fails and so are its values. In my case, I will not buy the coins that are bad and will have no value. I do invest in good coins after carrying out my own research.

I think cryptocurrency is highly volatile due to speculation in part. There are such people that they are always looking forwards to taking benefit from the market, as to do so, they speculate the market, thus increasing or decreasing values of coins. I think that people have started becoming aware of it, and regulations are in place, and as a result, it will make cryptocurrency less volatile in the coming days.

Is there anything that can prove that ethereum will overtake bitcoin in the coming future. It is obvious that any coin will not take over unless and until it perform well. So far seeing the market, bitcoin has been performing well ever since its inception some 10 years ago. There are many instances that bitcoin will not lose its stand in the nearest future. Cryptocurrency is known by bitcoin. It is being used as a method of payment.

You are not getting the concept. You get nothing running a bitcoin node and you can't just run a EOS note as they are selected by voting. I too was among them to say ethereum will have no success. Though there can't be any other crypto except bitcoin.
Called it a scam, a easy way to earn cash selling useless token. I think they were one of the first to issue an ICO.
Watched it rise, regretted, kept watching and kept regretting. At last I had to buy some Ethereum on market price to deal with tokens.
