481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from centralized wallets on: April 21, 2020, 03:29:54 PM
I don't like centralized wallet either, I only use it for converting my crypto into cash, My crypto only stays there for a minutes or hours. It is said that "Not your keys not your coins" and it is true, If we decide to hold for long term it is better to have a wallet that you own the private keys Like Electrum it is both available on Desktop and mobile it is for BTC. On altcoins make sure you own the private keys and don't just import it anywhere and store it on a safe place. Trustwallet has supported various blockchain like ethereum, tron, stellar, etc.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / dForce attacker returns all $25M stolen funds in FULL on: April 21, 2020, 01:43:53 PM
Recently, there was a hack amounting more or less $25 Million Dollar, that is a huge amount and a big loss. But just now, it looks like the hacker return all the funds in full. I commend them for tracing the hacker and the hacker return the funds in full you can see all transaction on Etherscan. Here is the link: https://etherscan.io/tokentxns?a=0xa9bf70a420d364e923c74448d9d817d3f2a77822 I hope all hacks can be trace like this one so that hackers will never attempt anymore.

483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Central Bank Admits It Can’t Ban Bitcoin on: April 20, 2020, 06:12:40 PM
They said they cannot really ban crypto but they also said that there is no legalization. I think it is just for now and temporary, But I guess cryptocurrency adaption will turn this around. Time will tell I am hoping in the future to have a more crypto-friendly society and it is very possible and starting to happen now. I heard some countries already legalize crypto like India and some banks partners with crypto platforms.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will another altcoin rise to overtaken Bitcoin? on: April 20, 2020, 02:45:50 PM
Overtaken in terms of technology there are so many altcoins that are better than bitcoin and that is a fact. They are better in terms of TPS(Transaction Per Second), Fees, Scaling and they have some added features like smart-contract that bitcoin does not have. But you know what? Why bitcoin is still on top? I have said this already from other thread but I am going to say it again, Bitcoin has "Trust". and that is enough to make it on top.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best to earn more? airdrop or bounty? on: April 20, 2020, 01:40:13 PM
In this year 2020, Both airdrop and bounty are not good anymore. Maybe 90 % of the airdrop and bounties here on bitcointalk are worthless and It's a fact. You can try to search old projects with bounty here and look where they are now, some are turned scammed and some are sh*tcoins. Of course, There are unique projects with potential, I heard Cartesi will be launching an IEO on binance this month and it has some bounty here I guess last year.
Some members have a review about potentially good projects, take a look https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5228629.0
486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Today i opened acc on Bittrex.com what i should do next? on: April 20, 2020, 12:27:22 PM
I suggest not to buy and trade or invest right away. Since you are a bigginer on crypto better learn what it is first. Start by history and start everything from there learning about blockchain and stuff. Actually you can learn everything here, we have bitcoin discussion and altcoin discussion. Also, we have local boards here you can try to engage in your local board for better understanding. Again, Don't rush it better to learn first.

Bitcoin Discussion - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=1.0
Altcoin Discussion - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0

You can explore some other sections too, apart from those two.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the best time to invest in OKB ? on: April 20, 2020, 11:08:36 AM
This thread was posted last 2019 maybe the OP has already realized it with current stats of each coin that OKB will not reach what BNB has achieved.
BNB has smart contract, staking, burn and many more plus a bonus that BNB is run by the most popular exchange binance. But If OKB can do something like that not just a utility token maybe they can catch up with BNB in the future.
488  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep contact details private on: April 19, 2020, 06:51:22 PM
You are right, Contact information is very sensitive and important. Like email, it is recommended to use another email for another transaction. Don't use emails that are linked into your social media, especially bitcointalk account. Hackers might send you a phishing link trying to steal your email or any accounts so to be safe don't ever share your main email to others.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggestions for online gamblers on: April 19, 2020, 04:12:23 PM
Quoted from sheenshane;
Quote
Don't gamble if you are depressed, stress or something has negative emotion in your self.
For me, this is one of the most important things to consider in gambling, why? our emotions really affect our decision making, Sometimes if we are angry it affects our decisions and makes us too greedy. Not a good time to play in that situation, I guess we should avoid playing if we are experiencing some personal or family problems or any sort of issues that might affect or bother us.
490  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beware of fake okex.com exchange on: April 19, 2020, 03:13:20 PM
If someone does not pay attention to the URL maybe this fake exchange can steal some accounts. It is very obvious that it is fake I guess only newbie will fall into this kind of bad activity. Prevention is better so we need to bookmark important websites like exchanges and wallets to avoid phishing. I also install browser phishing extension like Metacert for safety.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on stable coins? on: April 19, 2020, 05:38:48 AM
I don't like how they are printing stablecoins it is just like printing FREE money, and the only that benefits are the company. They are making themselves instant millionaires or maybe billionaires. There are rumors that it has been used to pump and dump the cryptocurrency market. Now we have so many stablecoins and many are planning to make their own. But stablecoins are useful in trading and minimize loss when the market crash.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What matters to grow the price of an Altcoin on: April 18, 2020, 05:13:19 PM
From my own perspective it all comes down with a "trust" if one altcoin has already built a community trust, new altcoin with the same feature cannot beat it no matter how good it is in terms of technology. Just like bitcoin for sure there are many altcoins out there that are better and faster, lesser fees, etc. But why they cannot beat bitcoin in terms of marketcap? Because bitcoin has already gain "trust".
493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Smart is Smart Contract? on: April 18, 2020, 02:26:23 PM
They have already answered your questions so I want to answer your thread title instead " How Smart is Smart Contract?" For me, It depends on how smart is the programmer, smart contract is programmable it depends on how did you program it. We have testnet like on ethereum platform called "Ropsten" and many more. On testnet we can test everything and find some error and fixed it. Because on mainnet you can't undo everything that is why some tokens do a swap to fixed an error or bug.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Chain or Binance DEX hype is gone! on: April 18, 2020, 11:21:56 AM
Not only smart contract they enable #BNB Staking too, Perhaps this coin can compete with ETH now on having a smart contract feature. We can't deny that ETH has many users and Binance chain has only few tokens but most of them are decent projects only a few were sh*tcoin/tokens. Recently they have burn more than 3 million supply amounting more or less $52M I guess BNB is back we will see in the coming days what will be the outcome of this recent news.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacken ai IEO failed on: April 17, 2020, 05:56:36 PM
If they will plan to launch an IEO on Probit, vindax or p2pb2b that is the end.  Cheesy Especially probit almost IEO there is 90% dump I guess the exchange bots are dumping it with abnormal trades with the same amount the same as p2pb2b. They should have selected a decent exchange. Or the investors are not really interested In this project? I guess investors now only invest in top 10 exchanges like binance for better chances of profits.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be real projects on: April 17, 2020, 03:45:28 PM
You have mentioned AI projects I guess I encountered 5 or more projects with so-called AI technology but none of them succeed and have been adapted by people. I don't know what is the reason why but I am pretty sure the majority does not like it for now maybe in the future more people will support it as our technology evolves. AI technology is really amazing if they can implement in and put into action not just whitepapers and stuff.
497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 17, 2020, 02:15:10 PM
I am hoping there is an uptrend but after reviewing past bitcoin halving, the price does not go up automatically,  Often about 150 days after halving the price will go up. I hope it is the same this time in 2012 halving from $12.35 on Halving Day goes to $127.00 after 150 Days that's is a huge increase in price. I guess thinking negative things does not help this time so we need to be positive about it even we are in crisis now.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any good KYCless exchange ? on: April 17, 2020, 07:52:54 AM
Binance has KYC but it is not required if you only have lower than 1 BTC withdrawal every 24 hours, for a beginner. 1  BTC is too much even for me. I am not withdrawing even 0.001 btc everyday  Cheesy So binance is the right place. But KYC enables you to participate in launchpad and a lot of giveaways. but if you don't like KYC I respect you, personal information is very important.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Browser extensions can steal bitcoin on: April 16, 2020, 04:22:51 PM
I advise before installing any extension check the ratings, number of users and most importantly feedbacks and reviews. By doing that you can tell which one is the real extension. Chrome webstore is like playstore and google ads, google does not detect fake extensions unless someone reported it. They have very poor verification and security allowing the malicious extension to be uploaded on their platform. If you find some just go to the extension link find additional information and report abuse.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of Gambling Investments and Discussion. on: April 16, 2020, 03:17:21 PM
Thanks for compiling these threads about Gambling investments. But I guess the answer to those threads from 2 - 12. Is the number 1 on the list made by Yatsan. Thanks to that thread It made us aware that we can buy a share on those gambling platforms. I notice he created a follow-up thread. He tried it already he made some investment you can follow it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5239794.0
