483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The is always on gambling, never the individual. on: January 03, 2024, 11:36:21 PM
The other day someone was talking about how he hates gambling as it nearly ruined his life, and within my mind I was like, no it was not gambling that nearly ruined you it was actually you that tried to ruin your life and that's because you refused to gamble responsibly and discipline yourself by not been capable of differentiating money meant for gambling from money meant for other projects in your life.

Why do people blame gamble for their own act of irresponsibility. No one is talking about their own part in their story of bad experience's with gambling, all we get to hear is gambling is bad and a useless activity. Why?

I think its always a thing since its going to be easy to blame something other than blaming your self,I did a lot of things that is not reallygreat or i can say that it is probably not a good decision  and i can say that no one can be blame but me since that is probably all my fault because im the one who do that, and its really difficult and depressing its so hard to move on and just forget about it, especially because it involves a huge amount of money for me.

So blaming gambling was gonna be a thing for sure for some people, since they think it is a bad think and in their mind they probably wanted to stop but they just cant do it, ending up blaming other things. Seems like as we all can see gambling as something that is bad eapecially if we do lose a lot of money or probably become addicted with it but gambling wasnt really a bad thing, all of things that we do is gonna be bad for us if we do in excess is going to be harmful, and no one to blame for that one us.
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many individual holders of Bitcoin are there? on: January 03, 2024, 05:38:20 PM
Is there some metric or study somewhere that could let us know how many individuals (individual humans) currently hold Bitcoin as an asset? Are there any metrics that could approximate the number? Estimate change over time?

I would think this would be a key metric in understanding the market.

There were probably no accurate data about how many individual holders of Bitocin since we dont really know how many Bitcoin address one trader has, I mean one trader could easily have multiple addresses right so it's impossible to know how many addresses you have, but you could totally look it up online how many Bitcoin address was active, etc, there was a website if I'm not mistaken it was called Glassnode where they gather data as well as a graph of this data. There is also data on how many addresses have one Bitcoin on their wallet, holding less than one Bitcoin or even more, that could surely be useful in some cases on research, etc.

This is for sure not that accurate and just pretty much estimates but for sure they can be a good reference if you really want to understand the market situation, could also be useful data in the future. You could take a look at Glassnode and see it by yourself if it can be useful to you. But in my opinion, there are still so many factors that affect our market so it's really impossible to accurately predict the movement of the market probably they might be a good reference and basis but not all the time.
485  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Best non custodial wallet on: January 03, 2024, 03:50:14 PM

486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying and Losing My First Bitcoin on: January 03, 2024, 02:53:31 PM
Bitcoin is still completely illegal in my country. I was first introduced to Bitcoin through a friend of mine. I first bought Bitcoin in early 2017. I bought only 25 dollars worth of bitcoins then. The feeling of making the first investment in life was different. Although I wasted that Bitcoin by investing in a third party hype site. I had a hard time losing my first bitcoin.

How did it feel when you first invested in Bitcoin?

I mean, to be honest, it was really more of learning since when I invested in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency I didn't really know a lot of things, i just invested since i already know how to learn a lot of things here in the forum and tried it invest since the hype was so big that time, it was most of the time when the market price skyrocket we know the hype of the market could really get a lot of investors to invest on Bitcoin and that includes a lot of newbies and beginner in cryptocurrency.

To be honest it really feels like it was a good decision something like you going to be rich for sure since this Bitcoin investment is going to be huge in just a small amount of time, without really knowing how risky this could get or how patient you needed to hold in order to have a good amount of profit in the end. I mean most of my trades and investments weren't a loss at least I did make some profit on them, and probably it was actually a huge one, especially as a student I didn't really imagine that I was going to be able to earn that amount here in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency so it was really great. But for sure I will be able to make even more if I am just patient and Hold my investment longer.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 02, 2024, 11:59:33 PM
A gambling expert brought i and some friends a guaranteed predicted game and asked us to stake a a high amount so that we winning could be huge and so we can give him a percentage of the money at winning.

I don't believe there could be a 100% guaranteed game but yet my friends who are eager to make profits in the gambling accepted to play the gamed as instructed and at the end of it, they all loosed the game and at then, the rest of us were happy because we didn't play the game else we would had loosed as others.

I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

Probably not since it's gambling it is just a matter of luck i mean if they are actually expected and can actually win, why do they need to be an expert on it if they can do it on there self and win a huge amount of money right? They might be able to help you with tips or something like that or probably increase your chance but it wouldn't make sense to believe prediction, especially on a game that involves luck.

I mean for sure gambling experts are reasonable but they are still losing, they might win sometimes and get a huge amount of return on there money when they play but for sure at some point or sometimes they lose some money on there gambling, because they are always winners and losers so its probably impossible to not lose, but i guess they are more experience but other gamblers so they might have high chance than anyone who doesnt have any experience on how they are going to win on some game etc.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Buying More Tickets To Increase Your chances on: January 02, 2024, 11:00:48 PM
At this point buying more tickets is not really going to help since the chances are already very low unless you're going to buy so many that it is going to increase your chances to around 50% but that is just not worth it if you're going to buy that much. For sure the trick is just to buy one probably every day and just let your luck decide about it, for sure it wasn't for everyone, and winning the lotto is totally life-changing.

It just doesnt make sense to buy more tickets for a lotto since you're going to lose most of the time, and we can't really afford it buy more just to increase our chances a little bit, I mean most of the winners that I've heard only have one ticket, but i know some people who buy many tickets for lotto but doesnt really win so I guess it wasn't really worth it spending more unless the chances are increasing to more than 10-20%.

Lotto was very popular in my country and there were already a lot of people who won, especially when the winning money already increased to half a billion in our currency, In my opinion winning the lottery is just about luck. you just cant expect high chances of winning just because you buy 10 tickets rather than 1 in this situation because there were just too many combinations.

489  Economy / Gambling / Re: sportscasino.io no kyc instant payments on: January 02, 2024, 10:02:37 PM
Hi, guys

sportscasino.io  requires no kyc, delivers instant payments. Amazing sportsbook and casino experience.

Please share your thoughts here.

Are you promoting this casino? or are you just giving comments or something?

I didn't like the first look of the website and is kinda of dark as the buttons and menu do not look that good to me seems like a templated UI doesnt look like a legitimate one also the logo wasn't really done well it was just text and a bunch of circuits thing that you could find on the internet if you know what I mean. I didn't really try to play on the website but personally, I wouldn't really play on this kind of website since there were already so many red flags.

If they are a legitimate gambling website they need some improvements on their UI, having no KYC and instant payment is probably gonna be great on gambling websites, I mean I wouldn't really play on a gambling website that needed some sort of KYC for sure, As long as it is legitimate one, doesnt have KYC, I can deposit and withdraw my money no problem, trusted as well here in the forum that is probably one of my go-to gambling websites if I really wanted to gamble and try my luck.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I Too Broke To Own Bitcoin? on: January 01, 2024, 11:59:28 PM
To be honest, I don't really own bitcoins because I do not HODL. I always see myself selling my coins due to one issue or another, possibly because I really cannot afford to live my dream of holing until Bitcoin makes me rich.

In practice, I barely earn more than $3000 from my job, my wife's mortgage, and other demands waiting to snap up the money. Sometimes I sell in a bull market, and other times I sell in a bear market. Would you say that holding BTC isn't for everyone? Am I not too broke to depend on Bitcoin for financial freedom? Yeah, I'm working for my financial independence, but Bitcoin has remained a peripheral component of that plan. Only if I can HODL for a few years.

Do you comfortably HODL? 300% is quite a lot. 1000% for me is a dream.

Probably right, I mean 1 Bitcoin was actually so expensive that minimum wage people cannot really afford something like that, even me was having a lot of difficulty to earn 1 Bitcoin I have a pretty decent job was the salary was just average just enough for me to pay my bills and buy most of the things that i wanted, but buying Bitcoin was probably going to be difficult probably if I'm going to accumulate it, that would take me years and years just to earn 1 Bitcoin.

I would say that holding Bitcoin isn't for everyone right but it wasn't because you broke because at any amount you could still invest in Bitcoin and at the same time we have DCA where you could slowly accumulate Bitcoin, I've been doing DCA and I would say that I accumulate a fair amount of Bitcoin. Still, the thing is you are making a profit even though you didn't earn 1 Bitcoin or something like that, profit is still there if you are going to hold your Bitcoin, unless you have other sources of income like a business and other passive income you're not really going to accumulate 1 Bitcoin with just one job it seems to be impossible unless you have a very high salary.
491  Economy / Gambling / Re: tell me the best online casino on: January 01, 2024, 11:42:56 PM
I want to play online casino which has the following criteria,
1. of course not a scam online casino
2. there are slots, roulette and versus (player vs player) games
3. there are deposit bonuses and free spins for new players
4. there is a daily bonus (points or free spins)
5. easy and fast withdrawal process (doesn't have many rules)

It's difficult to find a perfect casino because all of them wasn't really perfect and there are a lot of flaws in each online gambling website, I mean you could probably rely on some reviews here in the forum since that is probably the best thing to find a good gambling website where you could play unless you are going to try most of it your never know if it is actually what your finding for. Avoiding scam casinos was probably easy you could just depend on the forum and play on the trusted casinos here since you could identify all of the scam casinos here, PVP was I think a different one I dont see a lot of gambling websites offer it, but it actually depends on the game your playing since there are games where you could play with other players. There are some bonuses for sure especially for new players as well as free spins sometimes. East and fast withdrawal was for sure a thing since that is also where I base my reviews on how I see a gambling website, if there are so many requirements in order to withdraw your money on a gambling website that could easily be a red flag, but gambling websites that are trusted here in the forum has easy and fast withdrawal in my experience.
492  Economy / Gambling / Re: Finding a Bug on: January 01, 2024, 04:21:59 PM
How does someone go about reporting a bug to a casino a still hold casino accountable to pay a bounty?

I think there are some casinos or online gambling websites that are offering bug bounty here in the forum, but you can't really pick a gambling website to do the review, you could just wait here in the forum since there are some postings on the services section sometimes, but you couldn't really wait for it since it wasn't guaranteed that there will be bug bounty again that is going to be offered there.

In my experience reporting a bug in a gambling website wasn't going to be profitable or you can't really expect to be paid for it since it was just considered feedback I've done it on some gambling websites reporting some problems and bugs, and they are going to try to solve that issue especially if it has an effect on the website other than that you cant expect some kind of reward finding it, unless they are already offering to pay users that is going to find bugs on their websites, I mean if you're going to find bugs do it on the website that is already offering payments for it.

494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: December 31, 2023, 11:59:21 PM
Sometimes people are always addicted to playing gambling online and this has made them loss alot of funds, due to always topping up theire casino account with there debit card when they loose. and this usually makes them exhaust all there funds.

While those people playing offline in casino halls play with only the little money they have at hand, and that will reduce the risk of over spending. So now my question is this

Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?

Both of it was risky since it was the same when it comes to betting your money on it so it wouldnt really matter, i would still prefer online since it was really convenient and for sure when it comes to physical casinos there are a lot of things going on when it comes to hierarchy so you might encounter dangerous people, playing at home alone was great since you can still enteract online  but if we are going to talk about legitimacy and scam i would say the there are probably high chances that you are going to visit a scam gambling website rather than playing on a scam casinos. But not to mention that the system is already rigged but the number of scam gambling website are just too many i guess. Also its probably gonna get risky on business owners if they are going to risk there casino for doing illegal things since they might lose there business in the end.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between Physical and Online Gambling which makes a person more addicted on: December 31, 2023, 11:45:22 PM
In my opinion, both online and physical gambling can make you addicted to gambling whatsoever, it doesnt really matter what kind of form it is it is still gambling so you are still prone to getting addicted to it especially if you are doing it a lot and winning. I mean I dont think that you could easily get addicted it might need to be your habit in order to get addicted sometimes we just want to gamble since its fun and entertaining we want to try our luck.

We saw gambling addicts in physical casinos and even on online gambling your friend just preferred to gamble physically that just it, both of are still can make you an addict, I've seen a lot of people get addicted on online gambling since that is just the way they want to play, probably your friend prefer playing with real people or that just the thing that entertain him, I mean if you are shy and lazy to go to the casino you might just preferred gambling online i mean that is just the same since there are already games online that is live where you could play worldwide.
Indeed, this really depends on each individual in playing their gambling, of course if we gamble too often and they cannot control themselves of course they will experience an addiction to gambling, so it would be better when gambling we can control ourselves to be able to avoid addiction in gambling, because if you have experienced an addiction it will be very difficult to get rid of this habit.
Both physical and online gambling will certainly make us addicted if we continue to play it very often, but if we play it just to entertain ourselves and fill the free time we have, I don't think we will be addicted to gambling.

For sure there are people that is gonna get addicted on online gambling and there are as well peopl that is going to get addicted on physical gambling like on casino something like that it is just gonna depend on how they prefer things but as lomg as they are winning and losing, they always need to set there limitations in order to control their emotions. As long as they do it for there entertainment and fun I dont think you are gonna get addicted st that point, for sure people that wanted to win or make a profit as the one who easily get addicted since they are always expected a return once they put some money on it.

So probably we can expect na tumaas ang presyo sa 2025 pa or siguro 2026. So far maganda pa rin ang pres ng Bitcoin pero masmaganda kung babagsak na muna ulet ito since for long term investors wala pa naman mga balak magbenta yan ng holding for sure dahil ang target ay more than 100k$.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if all Bitcoin is lost? on: December 30, 2023, 11:45:36 PM

To be honest if all of the Bitcoin is mined we dont really know how it is going to affect the market or the Bitcoin it self, but in theory that is when the market price of Bitcoin could potentially skyrocket since there was more Bitcoin that is going to be created anymore meaning that the Bitcoin is potentially gonna be super rare if a lot of people is gonna start to buy one. But at the same time we it is just theory since personally i dont know how the transactions, mining, network is gonna work if all of it is gonna be mine, but probably that is where it might start as a digital currency since it is the goal of Bitcoin.

Maybe more accurately we can say that all of us here will never be able to see the end of Bitcoin being mined because we need to live for more than 120 years and that of course will be very impossible. But maybe it's true as the theory you said is that when bitcoin becomes increasingly scarce, the price will increase, especially if there are a lot of bitcoins that disappear on the market because they lose access to wallets. Currently, as far as I remember, there are more than 2 million bitcoins that are counted as lost bitcoins because they have never moved again. I've read that article but I've forgotten where I read it.

I guess you are right we are not probably going to see that end but it is for sure an important detail in the future right, for sure it is going to have a big impact on the community but we just do not know yet if all of our theories is really gonna happen. The network speed could also be a thing in the future because we just dont know if it can really support the miners since the network or Bitcoin reward was already all mine for sure the miner's profit is just gonna rely on the transactions of the sender that just means it is going to be cut on there since but I guess it is still going to be fine if the market value of Bitcoin already skyrocketed.

This lost Bitcoins was actually a good thing if we are going to talk about the market value of Bitcoin since it is limiting the supply of it, the only downside is if it happened to you. But for sure it is not going to be the end of Bitcoin since there are a lot of upgrades or changes that could happen that is going to occur even on blockchain technology, I mean technology just keeps on evolving every day right so we dont know what kind of technology we have when that day comes.
499  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational on: December 30, 2023, 11:17:17 PM
We can't really stop gambling in my opinion it is going to be a part of our life, it's a business so all we need is discipline to gamble responsibly, and know our limits on things kind of things because, at the end of the day, gambling is just false hope.
it is a right for everyone, like a vape or smoking cigarettes, we can't stop them to suck it on in public places if the prohibition sign is not there. Gambling is not a general social problem, but an individual problem. So if the country has a problem with that, I think, what the government can do 1st is make wide socialization in public areas, not applying punishment directly and blindly. the government should know that today gambling is become a big problem if used by minors, not by adults who are capable of managing money.

I agree with that, some gambling addicts actually want to stop their gambling but they just can't do it, it is probably a problem as an individual but it wasn't for sure a thing that they could solve easily, It is probably better to have some sort of help from a professional on how you're going to slowly help your self to stop your addiction, I mean we already know that some addicts undergo a certain program in order to overcome their addictions. It's probably easy to say to them to stop gambling already but when they are already truly addicted to it that is a different story.

The government would probably not do something big when it comes to gambling addiction maybe it is because they are profiting as well on this kind of business, and its not really a problem for them since like what you have said it was an individual problem. It is for sure not easy to overcome addiction it is going to be a long process to identify a lot of things to cure addiction and to develop a different habit or lifestyle.
500  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: December 29, 2023, 04:37:47 PM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling. He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.

So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?

Probably you still gonna do gambling even though you have or dont have sufficient money since it just gonna depends on how you view gambling, is it a way to make money to make a profit? or something that is just for entertainment in your view. Probably there are some people that are gonna do gambling just for fun since it is a way for them to get entertained if that is just the case you already have sufficient money or probably you have some money and just want to waste probably 100$ something like that just for fun whenever you win or lose. I personally do that I set a limitation on how I gamble probably like 100$ and just for fun win or lose.

So I dont think that it has something to do win having sufficient money or not it is all depends on what the gambler believes or what he's goal in gambling, but probably most people are just doing it in order to win and make a good profit, Still in the end even though you already have a huge amount of money it is still not gonna be enough for anyone.
