481  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: January 23, 2021, 06:59:17 PM
Dear Friends
I am Using this Forum Since December 2019 and my activities are 420 and my posts are 545 but i am also awaiting for Junior Rank...
Anyone Can Explain How Can I Achieve Jr Member Rank Freely.

You are on the forum for more than a year and you did not understand the basic thing that you need merit if you want to become Jr. Member and above. Looking at your post history shows that you have not been active anywhere on the forum except in the bounties. You will not get any merit by anyone if you  only interested in hunting bounty.
482  Other / Meta / Re: Petition: Lock the BSV topics in the altcoin boards ... ? on: January 23, 2021, 06:34:51 PM
It is very strange that Craig Wright and BSV are not popular on this forum yet they keep shilling their shit coin in this community with the hope of the adaption. They don't realize that they not going to convince this community on BSV over BTC.
483  Other / Meta / Re: How about locking some ANN threads that are from proven scammers? on: January 23, 2021, 12:29:32 PM
Eliminating online fraud is an absolute utopia. There are and will be scammers, if we close one of their ANN, a new one will appear soon. This is the Lernaean hydra.

The best way to stop all this is that we do not bump the thread and avoid posting on such threads. Sooner or later, these threads will move down when no one will reply on them. Actually we keep on posting on such threads which keeps their business running.
484  Economy / Speculation / Re: who believes that the price of BTC high next month? on: January 23, 2021, 12:14:16 PM
By the end of this calendar year, Bitcoin will be trading around $ 40k to $50K. There will be a significant amount of volatility before Bitcoin actually hits those levels. It seems like, many of the investors, as well as cryptocurrency enthusiasts, are actually positive about Bitcoin in this very year. The problem is that with a significant fall already seen, most of the retail investors are not pumping money into Bitcoin. This is the reason why the movement is not that strong currently when it comes to Bitcoins.

I think bitcoin will not touch 40k- 50k $ if you look at ath 2017 it is very unreasonable that it will likely return to a price of $ 15000

Its a double top scenario folding up. We may be heading downwards in the short term.

485  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 23, 2021, 10:31:52 AM
Shitcoins are at it again.

I guess now that bitcoin is dead and there are massive bugs in the code, it is time for all the institutions to divest and inject it into the one true coin.... Chainlink, or perhaps "insert random shitcoin name".

lololol, shitcoins. Some real long-term potential right there.

486  Economy / Services / Re: Alternative to Trading View on: January 23, 2021, 04:57:52 AM
The free part of Trading View is available for every beginner.
Unless you are an expert, I don't see a problem using that site.
When you are an expert then you will look for some features such as speed of response, updating of trading, and more trading strategies.
Protrader, StockCharts, and coinigy.

Also i think that trading is the best for every beginner and expert who is trading crypto currencies. There are few other charting sites available online but you will find the best and complete set of tools only on trading view.
487  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it just the starting of fueling Bitcoin for riding to moon? on: January 22, 2021, 06:05:32 PM
Michael Saylor has been buying all the dips but i think bitcoin is now in sort of a correction phase. Everything cannot go parabolic up and needs a rebound and same is happening with bitcoin now. I hope this bearish trend will end in a few days time as bitcoin is very strong fundamentally.

Double spending fud that caused the price drop today !!!

489  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! 🔮 on: January 17, 2021, 11:02:32 AM
Yes, I know that I just point out that it seems more confident to bet on those who will know the result for a long time if only Ooms can be used here as a bet because many people have noticed who predicted it so I ask if it can be bet using BTC.  I also plan to bet here using Bitcoins, but I prefer to bet those who will know the result immediately like sports.  And just use Ooms for questions that will take a long time to know the result just like in the next few years.

Is the play money ooms convertible to real money like bitcoins ? There should be a plan that if anyone collect certain amount of free money, he could redeem it for bitcoins ?
Secondly i think the withdraw fee of 0.4mBTC is little on the high side.
490  Other / Off-topic / Re: Only Women are allow ? on: January 17, 2021, 10:38:58 AM
In the Field of Cryptocurrency I find out few woman. And I am gonna question to all the Men and Woman who is viewing my post.

Why is it So?
-Is it because of lack of education
-Is it because of Ignorance
-Is it because of Society

Please give your opinion especially if you are woman and reading this.

Can you share any proof that women are less in number in crypto currencies. Since crypto is anonymous, you can't be sure of the gender.

One logical reason for more men in crypto is that usually men are in control of the wealth and therefore they could invest more than the women.

Sir its not about proof we can see that all Big Trader's , Advisers, Influencers are Men.

I am from Nepal and I see that this is the condition and also my neighborhood country India, Bangladesh, Pakistan.

I ask this question to especially for women to know that if this was the issue or not and also to know that how much women are in this Forum.

You need to know one thing. Behind every man is a woman  Cheesy
So whatever man do, they do it after getting advice from women.

In my own little understanding, I will say those posters are non English speaking individuals, they are probably using google translate.
If they can't write well it means they can't speak at all. or they are not that educated.

Well In all these, I sincerely believe that they are using a translator, is only google translate that will translate financial into Money.

To clear our doubt, we should also check if those users are also participating in local groups

Not everyone is a native English speaker but since English is a global language and is taught in school in most parts of the world, many people know how to write proper English. But if we see such posts as mentioned by the OP where there are too many grammatical mistakes, this means either the person is using any sort of translation , using a spinning text tool or is very poor in English language.

493  Economy / Reputation / Re: projects that do not pay bounty participants on: January 17, 2021, 06:21:52 AM
Most of the bounty managers defend themselves with a disclaimer that they are not responsible for any delay in the payment because bounty team is in the control of distribution not the managers itself. So you can't accuse any manager if bounty team refuses to pay.

And this is common that even legit bounty takes 6 months or even a year to distribute the tokens after they list their tokens on any exchange.

Recently I have encountered another MAJOR issue for delaying the bounties which are ETH Gass fees. This is WAY WAY TOO HIGH since ICO/IEO/private sale or public sale or whatever they call it these days usually do not raises much but since they have launched the bounties/airdrop where they usually receive 5-10k participants, So sending tokens to these guys would cost them $5k+ in transaction FEES, So they usually delay the distribution so to avoid such outrageous fees.

In my opinion, this could be prevented

1. Client should mention beforehand In the bounty thread that there might be a possibility that they'll distribute the tokens when the gas fees will be less.
2. Post beforehand that IF hunters want tokens before the distribution date, can pay the transaction fees, and get their tokens.

We all know that Ethereum gas fee will remain high. As more and more transactions are carried out on ethereum network there is no possibility of low gas fee in the near future. So will this be an excuse for the team for not paying the bounty participants forever ? If any team makes this excuse, i think it time to raise red flag against them.
494  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 17, 2021, 06:05:14 AM
honestly, this makes me very sad, even if i understand why this merit system is implemented for.

i am like 3-4 weeks away from my sr.member rank and this fucks me really up Sad

i'm sad, angry and shocked together X_x". now i have to collect like 150 merits in a short time but how Oo", i dont think that people will freely start to like everything i post... since humans are not generous, infact, they can be very harsh to others, being anonymous on the internet...
You made it this far with 100+ merits to your name. You must have been doing something right. Don't give up yet. As for members being harsh I think that's more of twitter thing lol

I was in the same boat as that guy, was already full member and next ranked seemed far fetched but somehow reached sr member just few months ago (took 3 years!), I think good start is to stop caring about getting merits and just give your honest thoughts on topics you are interested in.

If we keep thinking about the merits we will only get depressed as its a fact that you will not get all those merits instantly to rank up. If we can focus on your work, the merits will keep coming on our good posts.
495  Other / Meta / Re: To truly discourage unlawful bitcointalk sales of account on: January 17, 2021, 05:33:56 AM
You totally misunderstand thing here. First you need to know why anyone would buy a high rank account ? They will only buy it to join signature campaigns. There is no other use of those accounts. Bitcointalk is not directly related to those paying campaigns and neither it earns from them.
There are many other reason why people come on bitcointalk like advertising their services or getting knowledge and for these purposes no one needs the high rank account.
496  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: January 17, 2021, 05:23:40 AM
I don't think users typically type this.

The content, at the very least, was definitely generated.

Copy-pasta + poorly designed word spinner or translation is usually the reason. I doubt the penny shitposters would use AI of any kind, unless "I" stands for "idiocy".

Using bots and other stuff is beyond these lazy posters. The only think they love is the free spinner tools available online which do spins the sentences but never give you correct grammar and hence it is easy to track them.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 17, 2021, 05:13:54 AM
I am someone who has always had the understanding that no one can live as a gambler, regardless of whether he is rich or not. Gambling cannot be used as a source of income, you can imagine how a person can live by gambling while he has to spend every day to live while he does not ensure that every time he gambles he gets money, psychologically this is something that can be accepted.

You've got a point .. basically, when someone is gambling they are taking risks for uncertain results in the hope of making a profit. So making gambling a source of livelihood is something that doesn't make sense because they have to depend on something uncertain.

But strangely there are people who take this path which in the end they will be faced with losses and after all the house always has an advantage because the odds are created to the house's benefit.

Do you know anyone who is taking gambling as a profession and yet making an household income for living ? I don't think anyone can make consistent income with gambling.
Gambling may give you a lot of money at once or you may lose all your money but getting regular income from gambling is impossible.
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 17, 2021, 04:57:28 AM
Lol...

When everyone thought that Indian inning is about to over and Aussie would get 150+ runs lead. 2 new boys put their foot down and showing top order batsmen how to bat. I am now sure that Sunder is playing against England next month and how good is lord Shardul. This is highest 7th wicket partnership for India. Mighty impressed!!

This series need a documentary and 5 match series from now on..

Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur are giving tough time to Aussies and they are ruining their dream for series win against India. These two players comes from no where to save the indian batting line up. Perfect Perfect !!!

Anyone watching the one sided match between Srilanka and England ? Just saw the score on cricinfo and was surprised to see such a poor performance from srilanka. They only made 135 runs in the first innings. I expected them to show some better performance in their home ground.
500  Other / Meta / Re: Users who are blocked without even writing a single post on the forum on: January 16, 2021, 11:58:00 AM
I know some people I invited to join the forum, they don't use VPN and never before registered on Bitcointalk forum, but when they tried registration they received Evil fee message, and you can image their surprise when they saw they need to pay for that.
This can be due to the fact that their internet provider is reusing shared IP addresses or they tried registration from public place, but it doesn't change the fact that we are hurting good users in process of preventing evil ones.
Maybe we need to think of some better solution and I know this is not easy, one thing could be message that tells new member to try registration from different location, friends home etc.

Yes, if you make an account and it has an evil IP banned message, you can switch the VPN IP or go to some other place like your relative home to make an account. Even in most cases, restarting your internet router will give you different IP and you may be able to register but the problem is that your username which you decided on the first place, can no longer be used because it is already registered with an evil ip. If you need that username of yours which you thought initially, you will have to pay for it now.
