In other words, accept the way it's done and don't complain.
I'm not competing, so I'm not complaining about this. I said what I said because I believe that people who complain about the way voting is conducted make sense because it's very easy to cheat using discord. Much easier than it would be if people were to vote by posting their picks here on the forum. Maybe it something that could be improved next year.

we are expecting some improvement in this Contest next years to decrease the chance of cheating as much as possible. This contest was full of fun and i enjoyed very much by watching all designed pizza. three channels are created for voting purpose, the number of contesters are more than previous year. according to current results Fillippone is on the top.

Anyone who really wants to cheat will find a way to do it, it's not easy to prevent it. Even in such an entertainment-oriented organization, it's pathetic to try to cheat for small prizes. The main purpose of this shouldn't be forgotten. It would be better to talk about how the pizzas are made, not how the competition is made. Smiley

Another pointless coin.  These are a dime a dozen.  Good rule of thumb is if a coin needs to name their coin after another one than its most likely a scam or at a minimum a cash grab.   I'd steer clear of any coin jumping on doge's name just to get recognition.

Agreed, there is only one DOGE and all others who try to profit from the name are very risky to put money on. It's quite surprising to see so many exchanges already listed this one. I don't see a single unique thing about them in their website. Using DOGE meme, Elon Musk name and Pokemon card design are all warning signs about the project. All I see is paid press releases. I'd be surprised if that reaches 10 cents, not even a dollar.

Today is the only chance for Heat to keep their hopes up, if the series goes to 2-0 it's over mentally. They have to play extraordinary today. If they shoot bricks again behind the three then they have no chance. Martin, Robinson and Strus were unrecognizable in the first game. They can't rely on threes only. They should score from the paint and go to the free throw line more often. Heat gave up early in that game, they can't do that again. Nuggets rested well, now they are focused on winning the title and they know this is the most important game of the series. My money would be on Nuggets though.

Brazil has no problems with geopolitics and our legislation allows BITCOIN, it is a country in expansion.... The international airport is less than 30 minutes from my farm.

I took a look at google maps, it seems to me that nothing has been developed there yet and there is no neighbor to buy the excess production, it must be at the beginning, it seems to me that they started in 2015.

Liberland was just an example and may not fit well to your proposal as they have no livable soil. I'm just saying it's doable.
What is the mobile phone usage rate? Does everyone have access to the internet? Is it preferred cash or credit/debit card more? Are people tech-savvy? And are they willing to make such a change? If you say yes to these, then you should definitely try to create something. I think we are still slow on adoption. Any initiative to accelerate this should be supported.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Keep Buying Bitcoin Alone if I Have Limited Resources? on: June 04, 2023, 06:46:09 PM
Whenever someone says that Bitcoin has risen too high and they should buy altcoins, show them the dead altcoins and the ever-rising Bitcoin. When you look at the charts in long term, it's pretty obvious what's the right choice. I also think from time to time that Bitcoin is overvalued and other coins have higher profit margins, but when the hype wears off and I see altcoins falling, I realize how solid Bitcoin is again. No altcoin including Ethereum gives me the same confidence in Bitcoin. So don't hesitate to buy Bitcoin even if you have limited resources.
486  Economy / Economics / Re: Which stocks to buy? on: June 04, 2023, 03:13:10 PM
Now the economic sector has sunk, and is it worth buying shares, if so, in which area? I am considering buying shares of any Internet publications and large companies, is there a demand for them and will there be an increase in shares?

Our local stock market is going full Turkish investors. Foreigners ran away before the election. Now the new government will run by same party, there is concern that the same economic model could be applied. The new Minister of Economy thinks a little differently, but we are not sure if he will have his say. If there is a difference in the interest rate policy and the economy becomes more normal, it's possible that the Turkish stock market will rise. You know how profitable the stock markets of developing countries are at such times. But the new government must first give this confidence to foreign investors. Otherwise, stock market will continue to be very risky even in the most popular stocks.
487  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is never enough! on: June 04, 2023, 03:02:06 PM
Human greed never ends. I agree that the money is never enough for most people. The example you gave is really interesting. People who have no money think about making money. People with money run after power. You gave a typical example of this.
Money is not everything in life, but it definitely takes money to live to a certain standard. They say there's nothing worse than falling below the standard you're used to.

I see time management is the biggest issue for most people. They may work about crypto currencies so much yet produce only a little. Experienced users are those who manage their time correctly. Those who meet Bitcoin and then see altcoins can realize how much information there is and get scared. These should be digested gradually so that new information comes with a more solid infrastructure.
For example, I have friends who are constantly interested in airdrops and testnets of new projects. They get confused between so many projects and don't know where to start or they can't keep track of what they're doing. Those who do these works should set up their systems to follow them regularly.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 03, 2023, 04:50:46 AM
Before the first game I was expecting Nuggets in 5 or 6 but after watching the game I believe they have a fairly good chance to sweep Heat. Even getting this far has been a huge success for Heat but as you can see in first game undrafted wonders couldn't handle the pressure of Finals. I'd still say Heat will get at least one game just because Jimmy Butler, but don't expect more from them.

There is a country called Liberland, between Croatia and Serbia. Liberland Chose Bitcoin as National Currency. I think they are still active. Last week President said Liberland's financial future is Bitcoin. There's still a long way to go but we see some progress.

Liberland continues to pave new paths, from embracing Bitcoin to building a decentralized autonomous government (DAG), all the while championing a vibrant seasteading project and welcoming global citizens to its promising shores.

The country's recent activities, revealed in its festival newspaper for Bitcoin Miami, are a testament to its pioneering spirit in the realm of digital governance and personal freedom.

Liberland has firmly cemented its commitment to Bitcoin, utilizing it for governmental operations, the basis of its economy, and holding state reserves. To further advance its Bitcoin adoption, a dedicated digital wallet is being developed, ensuring secure management of national reserves and providing a revolutionary tool for a seamless transfer of power.

Beyond its economic strides, Liberland has also announced its groundbreaking plans for a DAG, a governance system combining voluntary taxation and blockchain transparency, and promising unprecedented citizen empowerment. The government also plans to partner with Aisland to establish the world's first seastead in international waters, marking another exciting milestone in the nation's journey towards building self-sufficient, autonomous communities.

I wasn't in the mood for pizza so I don't join this time. Good luck to all participants.

Only 21 Hours left. We have over 90 submissions in this thread, while the Discord server has only 26 Submissions. I encourage everyone to upload their pizza on the Discord server's dedicated event channel #pizza-day-event-2023.

Probably these members don't aware of the rules. Some people may only post photos to get merits though.

Voting will be in Discord server.

You are new here (if this is your first account) so it's easy to say that you'll stick to the forum. I met too many people that are passionate about Bitcoin, most of them don't even login anymore. That doesn't mean they won't come back though, it's simply there's no motivation left. Maybe they browse the forum occasionally but that's not their daily routine anymore. Personally this forum is the first website I check when I'm online for a decade. It's a different experience for me to witness the change in the forum over the years.

Well deserved win for Heat. They made it to the finals from 8th seed, first time in history -except short lockout season-.
3-0 to 3-3 teams lost again, that's 151-0 now. Either way we had witnessed a historical moment.

It's just unfortunate that Tatum was not in his perfect condition when the game ended. I think it should have been a much closer game had he not twisted that ankle in the middle of the game.

It was literally the first attack, first minute of the game. It's very unfortunate for Celtics, but there are such moments in sports, that's the part of the game.
White also had a small injury and Jaylen Brown, I don't know what to say. He choked so bad. On the other hand Caleb Martin had the best game of his career.

494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 30, 2023, 12:35:00 AM
It's time for the game everyone has been waiting for. Since the series was 3-2, I thought the Celtics would make it to the finals, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Heat win today. The 6th game was very close but today we may see a different scenario. Celtics seem to have the advantage in many areas but there is Jimmy Butler reality against them.

Celtics extended the series to Game 7 and I believe they'll finish the job at home. Sixers wasted a great opportunity tonight.
Nuggets is very close to become the first Conference finalist. Suns is playing the game like it's one of the regular season games. It's hard to catch up when you let your opponent to score 81 at half.
