481  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why the fuck did Satoshi implement the 1 MB blocksize limit? on: February 03, 2018, 06:00:22 PM
Remember Salman Rushdi, who had to hide because he had written a book that was to the disliking of some Islamic leaders in Iran, who pronounced a fatwa over him

Yes it's getting a bit like that around here too if you offend members of the bitcoin faith, they attack you and
spew out all kinds of bullshit.

My understanding of contracts on ETH is you can write one to move money from A-B and take a commission fee
but have code within the deployed contract that says on the 1st June 2020 send all payments to my account.

Bitcoin is only pretending to use smart contracts because no one has told me how to upload "Smart contracts" or
even what the scripting language will be so maybe it's some values on the Lightning Network where the banking
hubs can set the transaction fee or something.

EVO seems to have the best "Smart Contracts" and windows developers can write them in C# or even use Java-script

482  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are heavy fees and transaction delays in BTC causing crypto market to fail? on: February 03, 2018, 05:40:52 PM

Pay: 0.0000546 BTC
Fee: 0.00083 BTC (1,520%)

That's not such a great deal.

Or, if you sent 5 BTC instead:

Pay: 5.0 BTC
Fee: 0.00083 BTC (0.0166%)

I am useless at ten to the power of eight type maths so let have these numbers in English please so we can all
understand them please.

$10 per 250 bytes I make it https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin-transactionfees.html
so my 750mb copy of the batman movie must be worth a few hundred billion USD !

This $10 is about seven times the transaction cost of ETH that is mega high IMHO and about 10,000
times more than Bitcoin Gold but like I said I am useless at maths when I see small numbers like
$0.005 so i might have my numbers wrong
483  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are heavy fees and transaction delays in BTC causing crypto market to fail? on: February 03, 2018, 05:28:14 PM
Yes fees hitting a peek of $55 is preventing most newbies from risking a leap of faith by buying in to
Bitcoin and half the regulars are divided due to the Lightning Network introducing a system of hub
banking to Bitcoin.

Money going walk about as unconfirmed transactions is not helping matters and as for going "Off-Block"
kind of begs the question if we ever needed the magical block-chain in the first place.

What really crashing the markets is not what the BBC is reporting or what we are being feed here
about South Korea, France, India and tim-book-two closing miners down or trying to outlaw crypto-coins
because during prohibition the price of booze went up.

The real reason is that USDT is fake money, printed for nothing and therefore is not backed by real
$USD even if it's pegged at 1:1 and this counterfeit has been used to pump the price of Bitcoin up so before I get
attached for this by members of the faith for the second time today may I suggest that you listen to
this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwKYbT9MoPE

We effectually have fake coins in our Bitcoin slot machine and could be looking at Bernard Madoff 2.0
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherium geth + solc on: February 03, 2018, 05:11:48 PM
No, no, no you cannot talk about Etherium here without being attacked by members and keepers of the bitcoin faith and
risk abuse if you mention any alternatives to Bitcoin so shut up, take a seat and listen to the vicar or he will send his disciples to
teach you some manners.

You my friend must be a troll just like me and they are a bit on edge here because the price (Praise be the lord)
keeps going down.

485  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Wrong Measure of the Wrong Thing on: February 03, 2018, 04:44:19 PM
I am now convinced that Anti-Cen is trolling.
Why is that or are you another defender of the faith, vicar sent you in did he to ruff me up.

I make no excuses for calling out the bitcoin development team for the parts they have screwed up and if you must know I
am looking to pinch some of the good stuff without reinventing the wheel and so far I have found Secp256k1 to be quite good
not that I pretend to understand all the maths behind it but two of you have attacked me in this thread and I am not a big fan of brown
nose points myself.

Quote
This is a note for people who are not forum regulars, and newbies trying to learn.  Just ignore Anti-Cen.  Apologies for the noise.

Could it be that new visitors to the church are not allowed to think for themselves, could it be the only way to do anything
is as it's written in the Bitcoin bible and my presence makes you nervous because we have come a long way from burning
witches at the stake.

486  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Wrong Measure of the Wrong Thing on: February 03, 2018, 04:24:04 PM

I've been noticing recently that Anti-Cen's posts are making less and less sense and are sounding more and more paranoid.  He's also become very repetitive, reflexively responding over and over with the same phrases that have already been demonstrated to him to be false. I'm starting to grow concerned for his health and wondering if he perhaps has stopped taking his medication.

Your trouble I suspect is more connect to your being a member of this particular faith and seeing it come under attack because you have a
vested interest in trying to preserve faith in the development team or help maintain the value of Bitcoins that your gambling with.

Yeah "demonstrated to him to be false" in your dreams so keep drinking the holy water

487  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Analysis' Our Team Wrote on New Blockchain Consensus Models on: February 03, 2018, 04:13:51 PM
Yes a good read and I have got to wrestle with consensus distributed on a number of coordinator nodes within a
cluster so i will book mark the page and see if it helps when I need to do some out of the box thinking.

So far I got as far as thinking about using "Gas" as both a reward and a fine but kind of side stepped it for
now by using end to end connections instead of broadcasts and making the wallet itself get the final say
but this only works because the block-chain is distributed instead of just being replicated.

Please note this is not connected to mining and is to do with coordination and checking transactions are
correct.

Thanks for posting.
488  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What is best way to get all blockchain data in mysql ? on: February 03, 2018, 03:59:16 PM
I know someone on-line is running a site that lest you run SQL-Server query's against the block-chain
but you have to do joins of a couple of tables but basically you type the SQL statement (I could hack him I bet)
into a text area and press run.

The results are quite fast which is a surprise to me because using varchar as foreign keys is slow and they needs
lots of memory to index them so unless he had something like 32gb of ram then I am not sure why it ran so quick.

Once your field index needs to page to files then the database runs as slow as a snail so I would be interested to
hear your findings on this project if you let me know what hardware your running because 150 or 200gb of data
is a big number for any database and I've worked on some big ones.

Good luck
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest in bitcoin if you don't know anything about it on: February 03, 2018, 03:10:06 PM
But as a software developer who's worked in banking and stock companies I know more than most people here about
Bitcoin so when I say the Lightning Network is a system of banking hubs because I am trained to understand technical
white papers like this one https://lightning.network/lightning-network-paper.pdf and network diagrams like
this one https://lnmainnet.gaben.win/ then you would be well advised to listen to what I have to say.

Your not "Investing" you are gambling on a three legged horse winning the race that won't scale, is slow and
has crazy high transactions fees by miners that instead of playing CoD are instead playing CPU-Wars

if anyone knows how to go "Short" on secondhand 1080 GPU's then please let me know
490  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: elderhash.com legit or scam? on: February 03, 2018, 02:35:42 PM
thats probably scam! Real cloud mining never give you free GHS for just sign up and they offering 14% daily profit, since mining profit is depend on bitcoin price and difficulty, not fixed profit. They not showing their rig too. Check elderhash review from their Elderhash Facebook Fanspage a lot people complaining about it.

They are all scams or else they would be running the rigs to mine for themselves anyway
491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is media payed by Bankers and traditional investors?? on: February 03, 2018, 02:22:15 PM
Anyone that charges transactions fees, run private ledgers and charges interest on money is a bank <<END OF STORY>>

Now read the lightning network white paper that you can find here
https://lightning.network/lightning-network-paper.pdf
and now look at the a network map of the lightning network
here https://lightning.network/lightning-network-paper.pdf

This is nothing like what we told mama and papa banking would be like but don't argue with me
and argue with this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYHFrf5ci_g

Miners charging $55 per transaction last money was a joke and what they have planned
for us is a total joke so don't every say that you have not been warned

492  Economy / Speculation / Re: BReakout coming---> to 9540 bitfinex rate! MTN NETWORK BREAKING NEWS! on: February 03, 2018, 02:05:53 PM
Bitfinex is the pumping station

You see Bitfinex  won't take real $USD to buy coins or else they would become regulated and instead Bitfinex tell you that you have to buy USDT first
at a fixed ratio of 1:1 to then spend them on the Bitfinex exchange.

Trouble is the guy that owns Bitfinex is also behind USDT and is printing money from thin air and
it is not backed by real money and they even admit this with a get out of jail card that says USDT is
not guaranteed to be convertible back to $USD.

See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwKYbT9MoPE

Sorry boys but my nose pickings are pegged to the $USD so does anyone want to buy any at $1 each
and note that you cannot ask for your cash back  Cheesy Cheesy
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Only 21.000.000 Bitcoins in existance on: February 03, 2018, 01:48:13 PM
So each time we fork we don't double the money (well err OK token supply) ?

Dear oh dear good job we cannot run out of digits or would that crash the matrix we live in
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 650,000 Bitcoins got lost from Blockchain ? on: February 03, 2018, 01:33:04 PM
Ripple offers some protection against theft because real people are behind it instead of a hidden development team
who main task was to keep miners rich and now they have developed the lightning network so the
miners can run banks "Off-Block"

You can all keep the argument that Ripple is ran by bankers given these conditions we find ourselves in
today and Ripple fees are next to nothing so for these reasons I would recommend XRP to anyone that just wants
to learn how to use digital wallets.

Good job Bitcoins are not linked to much real money and is fire walled using fake USDT that is the
only new demand we are seeing in this casino because it's fake money and is not backed by real $USD
and is the king-pin that will bring the house of cards crashing down.
495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pump and dump collective? on: February 03, 2018, 01:21:38 PM
Many of the resident members here already join up in teams for a bit of pump-en-dump and you will find them
if you look around some of the other forums here.

The real big pump is USDT that is not backed by real $USD so what people see as "Demand" is
really just a sham anyway and this is the real reason Bitcoin is going down but don't tell the slot
machine players, save yourself, mums the word !
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China crackdown on BTC and will support its own cryptocurrency on: February 03, 2018, 01:14:56 PM
The OP is trying to ignore the three big elephants in the room

1. Fees being 1000 X more than other coins
2. USDT is counterfeit and being used to pump coins
3. Lightning network cat is out the bag, the hubs are mini banks

You didn't even mention NEO which you can add as number four if you like but please
start thinking for yourself because I can parrot out what the BBC is saying all day long

499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does bitcoin have value? on: February 03, 2018, 12:45:54 PM
"Why does bitcoin have value?"

It has value because of Faith in BTC can be converted back to $USD and that's backed by the barrel of gun you see

Trouble is $USD get converted to USDT or so the story goes but most of the USDT are fake
and cannot be converted back in to hard cash if more than a few people exit the market.

Typical Bernard MadOff type scam and Bitcoin going down is due to crazy high fees and
the game is up for USDT and has little to do with sentiment coming out of China, France or tim-buck-two

500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin really gonna be dead? on: February 03, 2018, 12:36:31 PM
Bitcoin drops its value this past few days but this drop does'nt mean that bitcoin will die. Bitcoin is strong. It will recover soon just wait and see. And believe in bitcoin.
I find facts, number and logic tend you work better than your blind faith and wishful thinking
