481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / All of a sudden my 1070 went from making me $5 a day to barley $3 on: January 29, 2018, 03:32:52 PM
Yet they still want $700 for one at the store?

i don't see any interest with this beanthing, is this promotion post or something ? i don't like POS cryptos at all and will never buy 1

Piece of shit cryptos and master nodes are a nice sneaky way to say ico

You have to spend and spend and spend then the devs can run off
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.6 (Windows/Linux) on: January 29, 2018, 01:44:40 AM
I have some questions.

I habe 2 video cards in my PC, a 1070 and a rx 580

how can I set this miner up so I can mine 2 coins on the AMD and 2 coins on the NVIDA?

can someone post what the code would look like? How I can tell the bat file which video card to use?

ELECTRONEUM (ETN) UPDATE

Adding to this, we have noticed the negative speculation and misinformation being pushed out regarding Monero Block 202162, and the subsequent patch code. This is a very simple 2 line fix, one that we are aware of - as a number of Community Devs have already confirmed.

This distorted data is complete sensationalism and it must stop.

We are confident that you can all can see right through these underhand tactics, and that you'll continue to support and share our vision.

As always, thank you!

THE ELECTRONEUM TEAM

so they lied on their white paper promising $30 a month for the mobile mines, then they said sorry we lied
then they said they miner would be done....sorry they lied.
then they have a bug in their code....they call it FUD
now they want you to keep putting money into their company

they raised 40 million dollars before they did anything, 40 million dollars of an idea that couldnt get off the ground

yet they want people keep throwing money at it? im sorry its 2018 there are way better coins to mine then this one and much more promising projects

it should read like this :

Hi suckers, thanks for the 40 million we are on a nice sunny beach right now so like, we dont care about the code or the miner.

expect bugs, delays, excuses, and more delays as we ask for more money and produce nothing !

As always, thank you!

and to launch a coin without GUI wallet? that's just a no!no! too Wink

yeah but dero doesnt have a GUI wallet either  and that coin was up to $2 before the big dip plus they just released the GUI wallet, and are working on code. hey at least they arent electronium promising $30 a month on their whitepaper and collecting $40 million dollars in ICO money

monero started out small to and it didnt have a whitepaper at release. you cant even really buy this coin anywhere buy I have a whole bunch im going to hold for a least 1 year and see what happens
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: At today's prices it would take 10 months to pay back 1 1080ti before you made $ on: January 28, 2018, 01:04:01 PM
In my humble opinion, 10 month ROI isnt really that good if you consider that the equipments are on very fast depreciation schedule.

The ROI isnt as persistent as other types of investments, primary because mining causes standard computer parts to fail prematurely.

My X79 still runs fine after 8 years of service becase I only do web browsing with it, but...

The video cards in a mining rig may die in 1-2 years or less due to heavy cryptomining and/or faulty riser boards. tbh, I'm having some doubts about getting into mining.... jumped in when ROI was about 6 months.

 If you manage to kill a GPU in less than 5 years of mining on it, you're doing it WRONG.

 I have quite a few cards that have been mining (or running the DNet client, which is also crypto work and JUST as intensive to the GPU) since the LITECOIN GPU mining days in 2013/2014 that are STILL mining away today.

 Do quit spreading the "mining kills cards fast" FUD lies.

well I just installed a rx 580 inside the same case as my 1070. The 1070 is a blower style fan that keeps cool at its overclocked speed

the rx580 dual fan by asus gets HOT its running at 76 C while my MSI aero 1070 runs at 65 C

the rx runs to hot, I can see why BOTH amd and nvidia are now putting in blower fans while the cheap after market gtx are using a cooling system that makes the entire PC hot

its this hot and its in middle of winter, I am seriously considering selling both 1070 and rx 580 and just getting 2 water cooled 1080tis and be done with it,

no more fans, no more fans breaking, no more worrying about the heat in the summer.

at this rate in the summer the rx 580 will die it just runs to hot

How can a miner get mining in 2018? Prices are just to high

It would take 10 months just to make your money back. And then you start to see profit

My 1 1070 can only pull in maybe $5 a day it would take me 7-8 months before I paid it back and made money...

What are your numbers?
(Buying price and daily profit?)

well the prices are very high now, I did make out good when I bought my PC for $850 on black friday my video card cost about that almost... it came with my 1070

but now im looking to sell it and go water cooled. no way will another dual or 3 fan card keep my system cool their design is crippled and the heat spreads out and into the case making it hot

I almost bought a msi 1080ti armor glad I didnt it would just over heat in the summer, im looking for a dual water cooled option for my PC

my reason being the heat  these fan cards produce and the prices for the crippled over heating old style fan GPUS are just way to high, and for a couple hundred bucks I can get water cooled, over clocked and never ever ever have to worry about summer heat .... for a couple of dollars more no fans no over heat im there once I research a little more
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / I have a 1070 and a rx 580 in 1 pc, can I merge mine on both cards and mine 4 on: January 28, 2018, 03:25:49 AM
coins at once?  If so, what would be the best combinations to do this?
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: thinking of selling my 1070 and getting 2 water cooled 1080tis, whats the most I on: January 27, 2018, 05:32:06 PM
Watercooling is very expensive. If you are mining for fun rather than profit then go ahead and waste your money.

If you use your 1070s properly and set the powerlimit low enough that you can run the fans at 60-65 they will last a very long time.

1080ti cards do have high hash rates for many algorithms, but they also use much more power than a 1070. 1070s are great if you manage them properly. You much better off spending the money you want to waste on watercooling equipment and buying more 1070s.

Water cooling rigs do not need flushing every week if you use proper coolant. I have watercooled CPUs that have been fine for 6 months, but like i said - the blocks for the GPUs, the pump, the radiator/s, reservoirs, pipes, fittings, etc are all VERY expensive. They are for pimping your rig when you want it to look cool, not for serious mining.

I was looking at this video card

http://www.gigabyte.us/Graphics-Card/GV-N108TAORUSX-WB-11GD#kf

it doesnt look cool it looks like a video card, I dont understand are water cooled rigs more for show? Im trying to put   3  water cooled video cards in a PC, leave it closed and in the corner  and leave it in a little old ladies house while it mines... little old lady being my grandmother. I not trying to have a flashing  case with neon lights and attract attention. I would still  need to buy the pump, the radiator/s, reservoirs, pipes, fittings even after I bought that card???

489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: thinking of selling my 1070 and getting 2 water cooled 1080tis, whats the most I on: January 27, 2018, 05:07:13 PM
can fit in this case? I can sell my 1070 for a good price of maybe $700, and I bought my PC for $800 on black friday so here are my specs

Motherboard : MSI Z270 PC Mate

Computer Case : PowerSpec ATX 767C

Case Orientation :Vertical

can I fit 3? Im debating going water cooled because the one thing that always breaks on a video card is the fans. plus summer time it gets really hot and i dont want problems

I would like to fit as many water cooled video cards as possible in this case, or, maybe get another case I never had water cooled anything so I dont know much, any input for pros and cons? anyone used one?

I see some video cards are hybrids. are these better then regular water cooled video cards?

bascially to get as many 1080tis water cooled I can in a case, I dont know if my idea will work or if its worth it

Looking at your MB I think you can only fit 2, unless you want to mod and use risers.  I have some cards that are AIO and some that are custom.  Custom takes a little more time and planning but makes for a much neater case.  To many AIO in one case can get sloppy real fast.  Because of that I have all of my AIO in an open frame case now.

if I used a mod and some risers would my PC turn into an open case?  like the ones I see on youtube, most miners have it spread out open, would I have to spread out all my cards or could I fit 3 in the case or could I still  leave it closed and it look like a regular PC?

I would like to build 2 machines with at least 3 1080tis in each, water cooled, because of the heat, they will be in miami and it gets barbarically hot. having 3 water cooled 1080tis running at full speed, without worry of a fan breaking, since I will be 3000 miles away

water cooled might make more sense for me if I can pull it off

do they need maintenance? do you always have to refill the water  every other week  or some kind of regular service for a water cooled, or in this case 3 water cooled cards? Which cards should I be looking at?

I have no idea where all those people are coming from. If you don't think that the airdrop is for you and that HUSH does not fullfill your requirements for a cryptocoin, please feel free to leave. Thank you.

It's from jealousy.  Something didn't go their way and they want to try to sabotage.

I think this is going to go sky high quickly.

How about I don't leave and stay and bring it everyone's attention hush hasn't given the option to encrypt their wallet and there are reports of people losing their hush coins. Oh yeah blame there victim and malware great scam

I just mined this shit coin and can't sell it because the wallet doesn't work and even if it did work would be unencrypted

No security, this coin screams scam.

Atomic swap might make things obsolete. What's going to happen when nobody wants to deal with exhange and the fees and getting robbed when you can atomic swap for free?

What happens when the volume drops on the exchange? Price of coin goes down

Hi everyone,

I try to find an information or 2... What is the good graphic card (low cost) for mining XVG ?
[[Nvidia or AMD] / 6 GB or 3 GB and why ? ]

And do you have an idea, why mining in X17 or Script or Lyra2Rev2 etc...

Thanks

It's not worth to mine that coin it's dying. The dev lied and alot of people bought in at 25 cents.

It will never go back to it's ath better off mining something else

Announcing BitcoinHush

What is the total supply?
21,000,000 coins, like Satoshi intended.

For each 1 HUSH, you will get 1 BTCH.
For each 1 SUPERNET/Unity, you will get 1 BTCH.
For each 1 DEX, you will get 1 BTCH.
For each 1 BTC, you will get 1 BTCH.

satoshi also intended for his 21 million coins to be MINED and not bought at cryptopia

so, how do we mine this coin?
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] ColossusCoinXT COLX - Coin Swap - Fair Launch, no ICO/ IPO! 🚀 Released on: January 26, 2018, 05:22:12 PM
Still no staking reward. I tried the "getstakingstatus" command in the console and got:

  "validtime" : true,
    "haveconnections" : true,
    "walletunlocked" : true,
    "mintablecoins" : true,
    "enoughcoins" : true,
    "mnsync" : true,
    "staking status" : true

I got 30 472 confirmations and I divided my 50k coins into 10 parts with 5k in every part. So everything is as it should be and still nothing. This is really annoying.

I have the same issue, everything shows "true" but i get no reward, wallet is in stacking mode since the beginning of january.

so you let them use your hash rates for what ever they needed and you havent got paid?

you should get paid daily, or at least weekly for your energy.

the coin is work 0 and your spending on the coin and the coin is using your network
