481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 27, 2014, 02:06:10 PM
I know flound is busy with a mountain of emails, so maybe somebody else here can assist me.

I have been mining litecoin for the past 2 days but received no payouts. Even unconfirmed payout is still zero. I know this is due to the pool hashrate going to mine doge.

My question is this. If I stop mining litecoin now and switch to doge, will I still get payouts for all the litecoin hashing I've done over the past 2 days.

Thanks

From my understanding your shares will count towards the next block found.

Ok, i'll summarize my view on things, timezone CET+1 (Amsterdam)

- Around 15:00PM strange thing in stats, no more blocks are being found anymore for doge (quite impossible with the huge amount of hashes multipool has)
- Around 18:00PM I notice stats are already speaking of several hours with no blocks, some people say not to worry, it's just the stats that are off, so I continue my mining.
- Around 20:00PM (can be later or ealier, don't remember exactly) Frontend goes offline, message says not to worry, workers are still okay. I manually checked my workers and indeed, they where still showing blocks and work found by stratum.
- Around 01:00PM front end still down, people say not to worry, stratum still up
- Around 10:00 AM, wake up and check my workers, see that they stopped receiving work from 07:00 AM, no problem there I understood the site was having issues and those things can happen...

So, there was no payment from 15h until 07h next day... = 16 hours of work @8000kh/s

After the issues where resolved I got 6000 Doges, wow such richness, much amazing, so generous!

See my point? It's not only when the front end was down, their clearly was already something wrong hours before that

Perhaps laying off of the smartassed remarks would facilitate a more meaningful discussion.
483  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.4, the GUI/monitor for CGMiner and BFGMiner to prevent downtime on: January 26, 2014, 08:38:06 PM
I've set a scheduled action to switch over to a different profile(server) if the main one is not responding and it works great. Is there a way to set the same action to switch back if the backup server is down as well?

I can set the same rule, but with the wording I think they might conflict?

Also, I liked on the previous version where it showed what coin was being mined in the top mining bar. Anyway to set that back?

Thanks!

The attacks are coming from gptdown.  I just received an email from someone claiming to be the admin there that stated they have stopped the attacks.

Still not able to connect to pool1.us.multipool.us .

I've been connected to the eu one for a good 30 mins, but I can verify after removing the eu.multipool as my first pool that cgminer is still having issues connecting to the us counterpart (east).

I am also on the EU one, seems to be working good.  Dare I say better then before with my 2 cards.  lol

Just switched my 2 rigs over as well, don't see much of a difference though.

I normally see a larger reject rate over here.  I am sitting now at 99.15% on one card, and 100% on the other.

I'm within 0.5%.

DDoS protected US-West and EU pools are coming early next week, those will be the high difficulty pools I spoke about last week.  I already have the EU server set up, just waiting till I get home to configure things.

What will it take for DDoS protected servers for us low diff guys?
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 25, 2014, 08:51:19 PM
Looks like the DDOS attack is back on.  Thought for a sec it was slowing as I could connect and was mining for a bit.
Yeah wouldn't it be great to find the people performing DDoS attacks, destroy all their equipment, and somehow make it so they could never touch a computer again? That would be quite satisfying. People who do that kind of thing should be in prison for eternity.

Glad to hear, great news!
So I guess this means I didn't lose my shares for 15 hours of mining at 8MH/s and payment will follow later on today or tomorrow?

Success with the share counting dude, hope this is a fully or almost fully automated task Smiley)

Looks like they are starting to credit. At least I see it on my account.

Flound,

When will the pools be back up?

Dunno, I just asked DigitalOcean the same question, if they won't restore service I'll need to spin up proxy VMs on another service.  hopefully less than an hour.

Looks like the US pool is up now, thanks!

Everything I farmed on multipool yesterday is gone. Effing GONE.

Read a few posts up, no it is not gone.

Is the main site going to come back up today?
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 24, 2014, 05:16:24 PM
No way in hell multipool doesn't get any blocks in 3 hours with their huge hashrate!
So 3 hours mined for jack shit and no communication from them, very professional... that's what they need to do if they want to solve the problem of to big pools! Fuckup like this so people all go back to smaller pools where people are still having fun in mining Smiley

I wonder if it could be possible there is a hack that flows all blocks to the hacker? Coincidence that lots of the smaller pools also didn't get their fair share of blocks for a while, just after they got hit by some douchbag hacker?

Just a thought, maybe the guy is sleeping? He is a person who does have stuff IRL to take care of as well.

Sheesh.

Any way to lower the payout limits on DOGE and MOON to 100?

Doubt that can be, the diff is so low, would bog the system down with tons and tons of payouts.
Would be my guess anyhow.

Diff went up pretty good on DOGE. Lowering payout to 100 would help us catch the peaks for value when we sell and possibly get more"bang for our buck".

I agree on MOON for now.

Are the rumors that MOON are going to cryptsy this weekend correct?
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 22, 2014, 11:33:20 AM
Hey noobs learn some etiquette! Hijacking another pool's thread to promote your own is just plain rude.

Not to mention the rest. Starting to think that lifting the noob sandbox was a bad idea. </rant>

As for the payments, it's working fine for me. Give some details, screenshots etc. if you're really seeking help.

Mayby for You working good - i saw on many pool some "shares" disappears and ppl don`t get money - that`s why i create own pool where i get dogecoin every block - no more rotten pools!

Seriously, spam your own thread.  Roll Eyes
