How much merit do you need to become full member?
One needs 100 merit in order to become full member. To become member one needs 10 merits. So OP needs to get 10 merits first in order to rank up to member, and then 100 merits in order to proceed through the next rank. In order to do that, he only needs to post quality post and post that are helpful to other members, I also suggest him to explore other sections of the forum so that he will learn more to improve his post quality. with new bct update to become a full member need 100 merits and i still have only 10 merits. What is the best way to earn merits
Im sad to tell you that there is no easy way to get merits, just keep on posting high quality post and dont expect merits, i have posted a topic on how to get merits some other tips that may help a little. It's a nice explanation OP, I hope that you'll stay here and create more informative threads like this one. If only people actually read it, but instead we are getting a couple "what is merit" posts every day, even though at least 20 threads like the one you made can be found in various sections, including a sticky in meta. Unfortunately I've checked your history ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1807652;sa=showPosts;start=60 ) and you clearly were trying to level up as quickly as possible by spamming in off-topic and then hit the merit wall  I hope those posts are not just for show and you will go by your own rules and change your style of posting. I would give you a merit if I had it ahah  I'll give him one from myself and one from you  Thank you for your suggestion sir, but my intention is not really to get merit whenever I post a topic. I start a thread to make a good conversation to this community. you have my voice, if i have smerit i will give it to you. I also think so, it is better to give merit directly is a moderator. but is it possible? moderator check every post that is made. because every day there must be thousands of posts and it is not possible to see them one by one.  I think they can use automatic sysmtem for distribution like the activity system, there must be a lenght requirements to be merited automatically, I think all can notice a long post if its a spam post/trash then if everyone report a trash post it can be automatically deleted. |

You got 4 merits, OP. That's a lot more than many members with your awful command of the english language have gotten, and assuming you didn't buy those, you should consider yourself very lucky. What are you complaining about?
In case you haven't noticed, suggestions from newbies are falling on deaf ears. Rightfully so.
Look at me, I haven't earned a merit yet, and I'm not about to complain, because I'm not here to rank up and spam the forum.
I dont post this to complain, My point here is im suggesting an option to enchance this merit system. All of us here has different intentions, some of us are here to earn profit to this (if this is the idea of the individual here this system is really unfair for the newbies) but this is not my point to post this. Yes i got 4 merits now and Im thankful for this, but when you are already on the MEMBER rank 90merit points is too hard to get FACT is not all will give you merit for your quality post. Meron na pala nito ngayon. 2 months akong lumayo dito sa forum, medyo mawalan ng gana nung bumagsak yung presyo. Well, wala na naman tayong magagawa kung merong ganyan. Ang problema lang naman ng mga tao eh yung ranking up and palagay ko mahirap na yung para sa mga wala namang kakilala dito. Oh well, ganun lang talaga ang life. Yes, isang factor pa po yung may kakilala ka ditong matagal na para magkaron ka ng merit meron akong bagong post about dito. I have some suggestion about this merit system.
Because of it is too hard to gain merits, this came out on my mind.
What if people who has a lot of sMerit make another account and send merit to his/her own account to rank up for farming, newbies here like me get hard times to gain merits and it is not fair to newbies like me.
Lets accept the fact that even you make sa useful and high Quality post you still dont get merit sometimes.
My suggestion
Why dont make it like this, No sMerit system only MERIT system and only admins can send merit to a post so that it will be fair for all and less the job of admin by checking someone send merits to another if its a farm account.
In this system no one can play the merits only the admins.
Negative side of this opinion I think is that the job of admins here will be a bit harder by checking quality of the post and giving merits to members here.
Positive side of this is that merit system will be fair to all newbies and elders here, and if the admins manage the merit system no useful and high quality post will be ignored.
EDIT: In additional I think we can make merit system automatic like activity. depends on the how long the post is, and if the post is not useful or quality merits can be gone if the post is deleted by the admins.
(there must be a lenght requirements to be merited automatically, I think all can notice a long post if its a spam post/trash then if everyone report a trash post it can be automatically deleted).
EDIT: I think they can also assign a staff on every section to manage this easily maybe 1 or 2 in every section that is a merit source so that the admins dont have to work too much for the merit distribution.
Any more additional suggestions are welcome.

EDIT: Im not against this merit system, this system is nice because of its effect, Im just suggesting.

Ang negative side lang po kase nito ung mga naka receive ng sMerit, pwede silang gumawa ng panibagong account at mailipat nila dun yung sMerit nila ng sa ganon sila lang ang makikinabang.
Sana yung ginawa nila mga admin nlng ang magdidistribute ng merit.
Hindi naman ganun kadali yung sinasabi mo na paglilipat ng sMerit sa kadahilanan na maraming nagmomonitor ng Merit history natin. Kahit nga meron nang bagong system nagkakaroon pa din ng account farming, nagpost nga ako tungkol dun kanina. Wag tayong pang hinaan ng loob dahil hindi naman talaga natin ito problema kung nagbibigay tayo ng effort at oras sa mga posts natin, tiyaga at tiwala lang. Naintindihan ko po ito pero siguro mas konti ang magiging negative side ng merit system kung mga admin lang ang may kakayahan mag distribute nito sa para isa mas hindi na nila kakaylanganing bantayan ung mga gumagawa ng farm account, ang kaylangan nlng nila bantayan yung mga post masasabay na din nila ang paglinis ng mga trash post, ano po sa palagay mo para sakin mas mapapaganda ang community kung maging ganun at mas magiging fair para sa lahat kahit newbie. |

Malaking tulong din ito para naman masmabihasa tayu sa pag gawa ng mas magandang qualidad na post. At isa pa nadagdagan rin ang ating kaalaman sa mundo ng crypto currency.

First of all, WHY merit is released?
-In my own analysis, merit system is released to reduce the spam of creating account and also to reduce spam/trash post but to gain many QUALITY post.
As a newbie it is so hard to gain merit points for me too because of lack of knowledge of cryptocurrency that is why many newbies cant create a QUALITY post like me.
Even when you post a Quality post some people will not appreciate it and dont send merits.
TIPS FOR NEWBIES
-Make reading a habit so that you will be able to relate on the topics of cryptoworld. If you are new here and all you know about this forum is that you can earn from here start FIRST on reading topics/news about crypto for you to be able to relate to the topics in this forum.
-Another tip is dont expect a merits on your post for you not to be disapointed if no one gives merit on your post.
(not all quality post gain merit).
TIPS TO GAIN MERIT
1. Always post a Quality/Useful post and can be use by other people here in BCT.
2. Make a reply to other people that needs your help or make a reply that is related to the topics post.
3. Make sure that your thread is related to the section where you will post it.
4. DONT EXPECT MERIT ON ALL YOUR WORKS.
EDIT: In every merit you receive you also get 0.5 sMerit (sendable merit), so you need 2 merit to get 1 sMerit.
Let them appreciate you.

-Sa pagkakaintindi ko kaya pinatupad ang merit system dahil madami ang nag spam sa pag gawa ng account dito sa forum at isa din ito sa naisip ng creator na paraan para mabawasan ang hindi mahahalagan post at madagdagan ang mga post na kapaki pakinabang.
-Bilang isang newbie mahirap makakuha para sa atin ng merit points dahil hindi naman porket quality at kapaki pakinabang ang post mo ay mabibigyan kana ng merit, depende pa din ito sa mga taong babasa ng post mo, minsan kahit anong ganda ng post kung ayaw nilang magbigay ng merit wala tayong magagawa.
TIPS FOR NEWBIES:
-Hiliging magbasa ng mga mahahabang thread na kapaki pakinabang. (kung ikaw ay baguhan dito sa forum at wala pang gaanong nalalaman at ang alam mo lang ay pwede kang kumita dito kaya ka sumali, dapat umpisahan mo muna sa pagbabasa tungkol sa cryptocurrency at ng mga post dito sa forum para maka relate ka sa pinag uusapan nila nang sa ganon ay makapabuo ka ng idea para makagawa ng QUALITY na post).
ANOTHER TIP:
-Wag ka mag expect ng merit sa mga ginagawa mong post para hindi ka ma-disapoint kung sakaling walang magbigay ng merit sayo.
TIPS PARA MAKA GAIN KA NG MERIT
-Ugaliin mo lang mag post ng mga kapaki-pakinabang na post para sa ibang member ng forum na ito.
-Mag post ng reply sa ibat ibang thread ng naka relate sa topic at worthy dapat yung reply mo (pag napakinabangan ito ng nakabasa ay may chance na sendan ka nya ng merit).
