481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid being cheated by altcoin developer on: May 18, 2020, 09:12:47 AM
If I hire a developer to create a fork of Bitcoin with a small premine. How do I make sure I get my premine and that the developer hasn't ripped me off. Is there a way to know for sure that I have received my premine? What would be the steps when launching the network to verify the developer hasn't done anything 'tricky'? Thanks!

I think before you take any action with the said developer, you need to verify him first, try and know as much as you can about him this will help you know when something is going wrong and have a free mind too. Also, to be on the safer side, you can get recommendations from those who already are in the business; I believe they will suggest the best person so that their reputation won't be questioned in the near future. But again, how would know if the thing is done correctly or the way you want? Therefore it's wise having a little knowledge of what you are venturing into.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is IEO not becoming to be worst than ICO, any future for bounty hunters? on: May 17, 2020, 04:35:47 PM
Truthfully, the way I see it, there is no much difference between ICO and IEO because a team working for themselves alone will always show up; its just that IEO gives that assurance that once the sale is over trading starts which isn't seen in ICO. Also, for IEO, one can easily invest in whichever project he finds worthy although that is not always the case after the trading starts.
Now for projects having 100% bonuses shows how desperate they are to attract investors, that's how I see it and which is why many of them, the price doesn't stand for long. Bounty will always be needed but yet there is need to be careful of every bounty from most projects, a project with 100% bonus, who knows the value the token will be at when the bounty hunters receives it, yet when they sell, they will still be blamed even though the reward is now less due to low price.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me understand TrustWallet. on: May 17, 2020, 04:17:35 PM
I have been using trust wallet and I haven't experienced any sort of issue till date and with my 12 words, I can access my wallets anytime.
To the best of my knowledge, having access to that 12 words will always give you access to the entire wallet addresses trust wallet supports. Also, with its DApp browser it can easily connect to decentralized exchanges; at least till date the wallet is improving everyday reason there are many good reviews about it.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Audio money in crypto on: May 16, 2020, 09:29:19 AM
I don't know how possible is this. There's this airdrop I did ''minereum'' around February this year, I just received the airdrop token which is about 32,000 and I checked it on Coinmarketcap and the value skyrocketed like about 306% as of when I received the airdrop token yesterday
  https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/minereum/
A friend of mine is telling me that it's audio money, that I can't trade on it. Which I find it hard to believe. Your opinion is really needed in this situation

I don't know about this project but the question is, have you tried trading it and where you successful? But I think you haven't, and if am right and you can't then it is wise knowing what happened; is there a lockup period? Is there any further step to take?
To offer suggestions, if there is lockup period then you can only but wait till then but if there isn't and you are required to perform further steps like sending ETH for whatever reasons etc, then I would say you forget about it. Just know that most team who wants to scam their users will use different strategies, it is an airdrop and as such should be seen as one, any more step requiring funds no matter how small for whatever reason is wrong and that project is likely a scam.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Faith of cryptocurrency after this pandemic period. on: May 16, 2020, 09:12:46 AM
The novel covid-19 crisis has created a massive awareness in cryptocurrency that thrends, social media sites confirmed that cryptocurrency is one of the most discussed topics on the platform. do you think that this awareness that cryptocurrency deserved has finally arrived or is their more to offer for people to consider cryptocurrency as a means of long term investment.

The awareness has been created already and it has come to stay, in fact even after the pandemic people will still be investing because they have to a good extent know and understand what the crypto space offers. In my own opinion, I think those who will likely have a different view about the crypto later on might be those who failed to seek knowledge first therefore investing in most worthless coins, but on the other hand, those who are already with good projects will be moved to go for more. Lastly, as this space is growing, that means there is more to see in the future.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO SCAM on: May 15, 2020, 06:43:16 PM
Since last year if I remember vividly, i haven't seen any ICO which means they are dead and no more, that is to say, any serious team out there won't bother going for it because they will likely not succeed, also there are exchanges for IEO thus a better option. As for bullshit coins, well, they are still coming up everyday and the best we can do is to be careful while carrying out our due diligence.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Altcoins Set To Explode in 2020 on: May 15, 2020, 06:15:27 PM
Am still trying to know or understand how you came to the conclusion that these projects will explode to X5 by the end of the year, what if it doesn't works out? Many experts who made varying predictions of most coins, none worked out. Thinking of it, I have not heard of Polis before and still wonder on what grounds that it will hit such. Nevertheless, everything is possible in this space, but I still won't take the risk of believing every predictions I come across; however I will invest on my own terms and on coins I believe in like ETH and BNB.

489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to BNB after 5 years? on: May 14, 2020, 08:47:34 AM
Asking about the fate of BNB after 5 years is more like asking about the fate of other cryptocurrencies 5 years from now, this is because each cryptocurrency have something or somewhere it is getting its value from. In the case of BNB, I can't say what will happen after 5 years neither can anyone, because most importantly this crypto space as a whole can't even be predicted, hence making any 5 years prediction of BNB or any coin difficult. However, in my own little opinion, I would say, if Binance exchange will continue to improve then BNB will continue to be a good coin worthy of holding.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust Wallet - Trustworthy? on: May 13, 2020, 08:24:49 AM
I am using Trust Waklet on my handphone. Basically it stores all my coins. But I wonder is it safe? What if my phone crash. What if I buy a new phone and need to transfer the wallet over? Is there any best practices for Trust Wallet. This is basically my entire fortune and I am trying to be as safe as possible

I have been using trust wallet for a long time now and from many opinions it is trustworthy, funny but true, the name points to this very fact. Yes, it can be used to store many coins such as BTC, ETH, ICON and so on, reason it is also called a multi-cryptocurrency wallet.
Now talking about having a new phone or if your current phone encounters an issue; before creating the wallet, you were asked to write down your backup accordingly, it is actually 12 words, therefore in case you encounter any issue which makes you lose the app, you can just download and install on another device, open the app and Instead of creating a new wallet, you import your old wallet using the 12 words you have earlier.
Therefore with your 12 words or commonly called mnemonic phrases, you are always safe.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good or bad plan? on: May 13, 2020, 08:06:33 AM
One of the Important things worth knowing about Bitcoin is that, it is a very good coin which have a very high possiblity of growth than other coins, that is, once there is a bull run it mostly starts with Bitcoin. Therefore in my own opinion, if one aren't in a haste, buying or holding Bitcoin doesn't have a bad time since once there is a favourable market it will still grow; this is entirely different from most altcoins we have today. Lastly, although the effect of this virus is seen on the crypto market, but holding coins like BTC, ETH will always come to mind and worths it.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Browser app from crypto projects! on: May 12, 2020, 12:05:47 PM
How many browsers have you seen from crypto projects? Everybody knows about the Brave browser. But currently I noticed we've got several browsers from numerous crypto projects! Like,

1. Brave Browser from BAT Coin
2. Osiris Browser from the Spyce Coin
3. Maiar Browser from Elrond coin
4. Cryptotab browser from CryptoTab
5. Netbox Browser from Netbox

If you know more, please leave the names here!

Thank you.

Gradually it is becoming clearer that the crypto space is now being used to explore new places and opportunities thus showing that contrary to many opinions, that the crypto space indeed have something good to offer. It is good seeing this, and I believe it is a matter of time for many other prominent platforms to be also explored by blockchain developers. Just to add and might be different from the other browser apps, Opera also supports or have a crypto wallets, although many people won't bother trying it as it might be risky (i stand to be corrected), but I want to bring up the fact that there are existing platforms who are picking interest in crypto and the blockchain space.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason behind ALTCOINS not bouncing Back on: May 12, 2020, 11:42:27 AM
Referring to the first point, anyone can trade how he wants, people seeing that a project isn't living upto expectations can just dump and move on, so in this case, the trader is trading according to his plans. For your second point, every project is meant to be different or rather unique and this outstanding nature brings value to it, else it can easily be affected by many things such as lack of interest by the investors. Now about the last point, it is a reoccurring event nowadays, many projects can dump on their investors and start giving excuses while some in a bid to get funding ends up giving excess bonuses; this also affects the price of an altcoin terribly.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Never trust an ICO ranking site! on: May 11, 2020, 09:23:34 AM
I have known that for a long time now especially during the time ICOs were still very much active. As of then most people shared their concerns on how ICO ranking sites will rate a project good or give high rate and the project will end up becoming the reverse of the rate given to it. This lead to the creation of many ICO ranking sites but yet all are in one way or the other, the same. It is good you have known the truth, with it, you can make more informed decisions on the type of project to invest in; take note, not only for ICOs as they are already dead but IEOs as well.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SCALA (XLA) price went 250% up according to coinmarketcap. HOW?! on: May 11, 2020, 09:01:03 AM
A look at the volume says it all, the volume currently is $668.25 USD, which shows manipulation going on or a clear sign that manipulation took place. Also, just as most people have commented, most projects with low volume such as this are prone to manipulation hence increase in price while in reality they are just tokens with no use case. Therefore, next time endeavour to check the liquidity and not price alone thus making sure you don't get driven into investing in a useless project that will only trap your money.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Million money is a wrong way, if truly you owant to invest in crypto currency on: May 10, 2020, 10:10:04 AM
I think people that will fall for this type of investment are those who are yet to understand the clear difference between crypto investments and Ponzi schemes; both are entirely different and have no correlation. The only thing is, those creators of Ponzi schemes knows how crypto has grown over the years and also knows that more people are into it everyday thus using the opportunity to launch their platform and making it attractive for mostly newbies. Ponzi is Ponzi and should be avoided, many Ponzi schemes which used the crypto space as a cover made people to lose money and are no where to be found today, thus this particular one won't be an exemption. I wish people will be more informed about Ponzi hence making the right decisions.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Usefulness of stablecoin on: May 10, 2020, 09:55:02 AM
Holding stablecoins is good but I don't think it is the best strategy. My reason is, it is good to hold stablecoins during bear market but what about during bull market or bull run, which is now the best? Stablecoins or coins like BTC, ETH and so on? I believe the answer is clear enough. I would say, the usefulness of stablecoins is during trading (which some people still finds other pairs good enough) and during bear markets and it ends there; when one wants to hold for long term, then BTC is the best.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think about appcoins? on: May 09, 2020, 05:01:06 PM
hey everyone, i recently found out about appcoins cryptocurrency and im seeing the yearly chart now, it shows that this coin launched with the initial price of 4 and something usd and now its around 0.03 and from the launch of this coin at the beginning the price just kept crashing, why do you think is that ? and what do you think about this currency?
and do you think it has aany potential ?
source: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/appcoins/

From what you said, I picked few points, first is the difference in price from when it was listed to now, and the difference is quite much. Secondly you said it has been crashing ever since and probably the team aren't doing anything about it or they are, never can tell. However, from my own opinion, I can say, if the price of a coin keeps crashing and shows no signs that the team are actually working on it to improve, then it's time to move on. Also, about what I think in terms of the coin as a whole, left for me, I would focus on other coins that have the chances to grow always, thus starting from BTC and major altcoins.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Some Alts for long run investment. on: May 09, 2020, 04:49:53 PM
There have some altcoin who have really good future for a long run investment.

1. Crypterium -CRPT
2. Tierion - TNT
3. OX -ZRX
4. Crypto.com - MCO
5. solve.net - SOLVE

What do you think about them? Also do you have any other recommendation for a long term investment?

I know Solve, it is a good token with good use case and if only the team will continue working on it to improve everyday, it have the chances of ending up good. Another I came across is Crypto.com (MCO) although I don't know much, but from what I have heard, it seems to be a good one. Nevertheless, in terms of considering coins for long term investment, from the list, I can only go for Solve, my other choices would be major altcoins such as ETH, BNB, XLM.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in this new IEO on: May 08, 2020, 08:52:11 AM
Hello, I am new to blockchain and I stumbled on how successful Binance IEO is and the recent IEO conducted there, I witnessed how the coin price spiked after IEO. So i discovered that Latoken is about conducting an IEO. Is it a wise decision to invest?

There is no need asking the type of project or trying to know the name of the IEO project you want to invest in but to say the truth, don't go near that Latoken exchange let alone investing in any IEO on that exchange because you will have bad and painful stories to tell. However, to be sincere, investing in any IEO in top exchanges like Binance, OKEx etc is better but the only challenge is getting into the sale since many people are after the same thing as you, but when successful, it tends to worth it.
