482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: September 14, 2014, 01:02:52 AM
Thanks guys, but I would have NO idea how to compile anything.

I understand the likelihood of false positives, but again I am seeing WAY too many to be comfortable with as well as virus names I am not accustomed to seeing in wallets and miners.  Just not worth the risk for me without knowing for certain they are in fact clean.

Is all good though, I can partake by trading......was interested really in giving my CPU something to mine but I trade everyday as well so I will just take that route with Monero for now.

Thanks to all for your replies and my apologies if my inquiries came across as potential fud!

If you're still wanting to mine give minergate.com a try.. i'm using it to mine xmr and mcn on one pc and it works well!

I like that you are willing to diversify outside of crypto and consider other instruments.

By the way, thank you for all the work yourself and the team (edit: and the community!!) are putting into this.. I am in the top 25 list and i feel great about my holdings Kiss

Starting to look like 1 person or small group holds hundreds of thousands of coins and willing to sell at any price..

Think i found the issue.. nothing to do with stickiness after all. So in  In cex tab, Satoshis below/above top bid.. it appears to be using the value from the Ask box above as when i change the value in that box as well(I have only the Bid box checkmarked), it works .
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: September 07, 2014, 07:56:03 PM
oops, i posted this in the other thread too but...

There appear to be a bug where the settings are "sticking" in ways i do not want them to... i change entry settings (place bid x satoshis under highest bid) but it continues to try placing orders at the same place prior to the change..

Please make "sticking settings" optional as I personally do not desire nor use this feature, and it seems to be causing some issues for me.

Thank you

491  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: September 03, 2014, 02:26:22 PM
HitBtc,

The API was confirmed down by many users myself included.

Also, can you please elaborate on the nature of the issues you experienced.
492  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: September 03, 2014, 12:06:27 PM
API is back up but something a reddit user posted concerns me- "Interesting - their time & sales ticker still shows trades from when their exchange was down. Another sign that their volume is fake?"

HitBtc, can you speak to this? How can you possibly have time and sales for trades while the site and API were down. You also addressed others' concerns but suspiciously failed to address this one.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET IPO - ICO conducted by Poloniex on: September 01, 2014, 09:07:46 PM
IPO = immediate zero credibility.

not realizing that this is not a coin = zero reading capabilities
reading comprehension test we have Smiley

some people dont seem to understand that this is as risk free of a crypto investment that is possible, with arguably the best crypto asset ever, just thrown in as a bonus.

uncapped but antidilutive, a unique combination

101% of book value is the price, as I am going to be getting 1% of the funds for incidental costs.

I guess, this is financially similar to sharkfund0 but with dividend paying monetizaton created from the user base that the funds allow to bind together.

So unlike any other uncapped offering it is not diluting what each BTC gets, and it is most definitely not a coin, it is hard crypto assets plus soft future dividends. But still it will trade on exchange like a coin. I know, so confusing.

Anyway, some IPO details.
The BTCD raised will be used to stake and proceeds donated to the BTCD community.
The NXT raised will be used to forge and proceeds donated to the NXT community.

things are progressing smoothly and I would be shocked if the ICO did not start by Friday. Of course we need to wait for confirmation from busoni

James

P.S. Due to the expected size of the fund, I dont want to be using it to be moving markets with giant orders. But I do think it would make sense to have some portion of it to do some opportunistic trading, like the sharkfund0 did, any such trades would be done at Poloniex or NXT AE, unless some other mechanism is worked out. Just a way to get some extra profits for SuperNET owners.

So you're getting 10% of operational costs + 1% of total assets under management??

It's incredible you're able to say that with a straight face. You're embarrassing yourself
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitsharesX is taking Litecoin and Bitcoin down on: September 01, 2014, 08:47:58 PM
Bitcoin still have more trust than all the altcoins out there.

For most investors and consumers who are in the know, all altcoins are still considered pump and dump coin.

Fiat currencies still have more trust than all the crypto coins out there.

For most investors and consumers who are in the know, all Bitcoin type things are still considered pump and dump Ponzi schemes.

Goose -> Sauce -> Gander

(This an endorsement of keeping an open mind and not being a herd animal, not an endorsement of BitsharesX.)

Trader is looking great!

My suggestions are, expand on the trading conditions so that you can select a variety of variables:

example..
If Balance/Price of BTC /Alt coin is Greater than/Less than.. X = Trade/do not trade...
AND/OR
etc etc

Also it would be very cool to see some performance numbers.. profit before/after fees, number of trades, daily profit overall and per coin..

Cheesy
