481  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: April 20, 2017, 03:19:46 PM
It is already a international currency as majority of people across the globe are using it, the only thing we need is that it should hit the mainstream to get more popular in future.
Yes,its already an international currency.Japan accepted it as a payment option.China and Russia have come to regulate bitcoin instead of banning it.Liberland has accepted it as national currency.Nigerians and venezuela people using bitcoin the most.Lots of foreign workers getting benefit by sending their earnings in bitcoin.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: April 20, 2017, 02:16:19 PM
I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?
Transaction fees is a great issue nowadays. Some people said that they could even use dash coin as its transaction is faster. But we would be too immature to think that bitcoin would be rejected for this factor alone and that alts would replace bitcoin. It would be a funny argument. Most of people, especially business people whi know abut bitcoin today, out of them not even 10% people would be knowing about altcoins. It is not an easy task for any altcoin to gain the trust which bitcoin has got.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: April 20, 2017, 02:08:37 PM
There is a thread about recomendations for the best wallet to use, but not all practice what they preach, so this poll is to see what people are actually using.
I understand that some people use multiple wallets of different kinds, so this poll asks which wallet is most used, this can be measured either by quantity of bitcoin or amount of transactions.

I use Electrum wallet for the past one year. Its safe and secure. We can set the transaction fees manually so that we can set higher fees for quick confirmation as its a great issue today.
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: April 20, 2017, 02:05:35 PM
I have heard that bitcoin is not supported in some countries. But why ? Is it because bitcoin is risky ? Some countries even declare 6 months jail if her people use bitcoin. Is it fair ? I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? I pay electric bill, my room temperature goes high and I get paid. With actually no skill on pc hardware and software. Whole thing is still pretty unclear to me
Some countries fear bitcoin that it would be used for illegal activities and they would not be able to control it.Just like china and russia tried to ban bitcoin at first, they too are discussing on the possible ways to ban bitcoin but sure they would drop their plans as china and russia did. What they could do is that only they could regulate bitcoin.Banning bitcoin is impossible since banning internet is impossible.
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear Satoshi Nakamoto on: April 20, 2017, 02:00:39 PM
Dear Satoshi Nakamoto I would like to know your opinion about all the blocksize bitcoin drama.
Blocksize drama will not over for sure and all these spam attacks on bitcoin network can't last long because it will cost so much for attackers. When all this attacks will be over, there will be no any problem regarding mempool being full with unconfirmed transactions and rise in transactions fees.  Wink
Yes,many such dramas would continue even in future trying to split bitcoin and fill their pockets. But as usual, all such attempts would fail and bitcoin would last long as the king of crypto coins.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Secret, Dangerous World of Venezuelan Bitcoin Mining on: April 20, 2017, 01:48:46 PM

Quote
Four years ago, Alberto's career prospects were bleak. The 23-year-old Venezuelan had just graduated from college with a degree in computer science, but his nation's economy was already shredded by 13 years of socialism.

"There were job opportunities, but they paid like $20 a month, and we were used to traveling and buying things from abroad so we couldn't settle for that," his friend Luis recalls. Alberto and Luis—whose names have been changed for their own safety—teamed up to start a clothing business, but the venture floundered.

Then Alberto discovered bitcoin mining.

He read about it on an Argentinian gaming forum. An item posted to the site described a process of getting paid in a new internet-based currency denominated in strings of numbers and letters, in exchange for running computations on a home computer. His parents said that the whole thing sounded like a Ponzi scheme. Alberto, however, sensed that his life was about to change.

Four years later, his country is embroiled in a humanitarian crisis. The supermarket shelves are bare. Children are fainting from hunger in their classrooms. A mob recently broke into the Caracas zoo to eat a horse. Many Venezuelans subsist on a monthly government stipend equivalent to about $9.

Alberto, meanwhile, based on his own account, is earning more than $1,200 a day mining bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies.

...Bitcoin miners may have unique access to foreign goods, but they also live under constant threat. Many fear they'll be discovered by the Servicio Bolivariano de Inteligencia Nacional (sebin), the country's secret police force. SEBIN officers hunt for bitcoin miners and then extort them under the threat of arrest and criminal prosecution.

There is loads more in that article - it's an indepth look at the Venezuelan situation and I recommend everyone click the link above to read it.

I have read some articles that the bitcoin exchange in Venezuela had failed to function since the banks are going away from them denying them to have bank transactions. The miners on the other hand if known to the public were raided by the police for unknown reasons. With this turn of events we could not tell if bitcoin mining or bitcoin usage in Venezuela will prosper.
Its very sad to hear the condition of bitcoin miners and people of venezuela. The government should take steps to fulfill the basic needs of people or atleast it should leave the bitcoin miners to work free since they are finding their own source for earning money and not dependant on the government anymore.Hope the conditions would change soon.

488  Economy / Speculation / Re: effect of Japan on bitcoin price speculation on: April 16, 2017, 04:49:44 PM
I don't see any topics about this so here we go.

according to coinmarketcap.com when you sort the table based on volume, among the top 10 exchanges sorted by daily volume you can see 4 of them are BTC/JPY markets with a total of $36,444,090 volume currently for the past 24 hours.
although 3 of them have an * above them which can mean there is no fee (or some other thing) on these exchanges.

apart from high trade volume my main subject is the fact that Japan recently adopted bitcoin on a massive scale since it is now legal and a legit currency.

so what do we expect from all this in short or long term.
Japan's adoption of bitcoins would definitely have an impact on bitcoins. But it would take some time to happen.
489  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If you believe we should kill all Muslims... on: April 16, 2017, 04:47:10 PM
We should learn lessons from our history.
Do you remember man who said that we should kill all Jews?
It was Hitler and we know what happened.
You can't change anything with violence or killing.
I know some good and some bad Muslims but also some good and bad Christians, Jews, Buddhists etc.
Our character decide if we will be good or bad persons, not our religion, nationality or anything else.
I believe in peace, love and compassion.

You are ignoring a few important facts. Hitler's original idea was to deport the Jews to some non-European nation. Uganda, Madagascar and Palestine were all in consideration. However, he decided to exterminate the Jews after talking to the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (Mohammed Amin al-Husseini).
Hitler also maintained good relations with the Tibetan monks. They even visited Hitler's Germany. The Germans, in turn, visited Tibet. This does not mean that the monks had blessed him to war and murder.

Muslims had the same goal as Hitler had.  To this day they preach and encourage killing of Jews.

Superiority to others and inferiority of Jews are two ideas that these two ideologies shared.
Really? Do muslims kills jews in palestine or jews kill muslims?
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Most Undervalued Coin of 2017! on: April 16, 2017, 04:37:14 PM
This discussion was created to compile the general consensus on which crypto are the most undervalued (Have massive potential to grow).
Please list your coin(s) below and why do you think so?
As far as older coin is considered,i would say Decred.
In new coins,i would say Golem as the most under valued coin. Its concept is very good.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: looking for altcoins to invest on: April 16, 2017, 04:34:15 PM
hello,

so basically all altcoins are going up and it`s really hard to get in at these prices.
the only thing i can do is to go short for these coins but any minute they can drop so the profit i will make is really low and doesnt worth the risk.

i usually go for POS coins because even if price drop i can still get some interest from these coins.

anyway which cheap altcoin you suggest to buy?

thanks!
I would suggest you to buy Decred. It is created by former bitcoin developers.
492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: April 16, 2017, 03:36:27 PM
I noticed that the banks of EU are friendly to BTC in a latest news from CEO of coinbase!
Yes,they have tried their best to destroy bitcoins. Now they have realized that they couldnot and so they have started to show friendly approach to bitcoin. In future, even most of banks may start accepting bitcoins to survive in the future.
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Big Banks Profit challenged on: April 16, 2017, 03:30:55 PM
Big banks are worried about losing their profits to fintech companies such as bitcoin startups.Regarding Santander bank, the profit loss could be 10%, a leaked memo shows. The document shows that the bank charges six times more than its fintech rivals getting huge profits by giving customers poor exchange rates. They do this rather than charging customers high fees directly. It seems that Bitcoin has started to achieve the goal of liberating people from banking sectors, for what it was created by satoshi.
494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Best Time to Become a Trader on: April 16, 2017, 01:47:48 PM

495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Utilize Your Bitcoins on: April 16, 2017, 01:41:44 PM
Trading is a very risky to do, just spend money that you can
afford to loose. Utilize bitcoin is not the hard thing to do. Theirs
many to mention exchanged as of this days.

I think it is risky depending on who is trading.  Veterans finds trading a child play.  And yeah utilizing bitcoin today is not that hard anymore.  There are more company that are willing to accept bitcoin as form of investments, and merchants that accept it as a payment.  We just need to research which of these company are legit and will safeguard our BTC if we entrusted it to them for a possible venture or trades.
Yes,trading is very risky that too in altcoins..You should know the basics of trading.otherwise, you may end up in a loss.If you are able to find a under valued coin, then you could get good profit.
496  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it still worth it to trade? on: April 16, 2017, 01:23:55 PM
Unless you have the possibility of trading with leverage or with huge amounts of bitcoins, I don't think it is an easy task to get good profits from bitcoin trading. I have personally preferred to stop it and turn to other altcoins, otherwise it would be almost impossible for me to get significant profits from trading.

I agree, it is more profitable to trade altcoins-Bitcoin pair.  I have seen people earning 10x to 100x of their holdings with altcoin.

I think it is still worth to trade bitcoin today, Bitcoin have many trading pairs not only USD or other popular money, Bitcoin can also be traded with thousand of altcoin in the market.  If it does not do well ing fiat pairs, why not try the altcoin pair.
Yes,trading in Bitcoin/Altcoin would be very profitable.Since the price of altcoins is more fluctuating, good profits can be earned.but we should carefully select the best altcoin.

498  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kim Jong-Un opens skyscraper complex in Pyongyang on: April 16, 2017, 10:32:17 AM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uea37l9cVCU

Kim Jong-Un unveiled a massive skyscraper complex during a ceremony in Pyongyang on Thursday.
Thousands of cheering North Koreans watched as their leader opened the Ryomyong Street development, which includes more than 5,000 flats.

I observed that you are a keen observer on what is happening on North Korea and I thank you for that. This way we can get a glimpse on how a closed country develops itself and how they are moving as a community. As a leader creating complex structures for the use and good of the public is a positive side that a leader should have and hope North Korea will focus on their development and not on having conflict with other countries.
Thats really a different news.We always used to see media shouting and showing that north korea is developing missiles and ready for warfare and no news about progress were shown about north korea.Same is the condition with iran.If you just google and see youtube videos about iran progress and development, you will be astonished.
499  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Experts of the world economic forum published a ranking of the safest countries. on: April 16, 2017, 10:21:50 AM
A list consisting of 136 countries, led by Finland, which last year also took first place. Second place experts have given the United Arab Emirates, and closed three Iceland.
Russia was on the 109th place.
The most insecure countries in the world the experts recognized Colombia (136), Yemen (135) and El Salvador (134).
The rating was based on various factors, including armed conflict, crime and the terrorist threat.
Hope to be in Finland one of this days. Finland the most peaceful place on earth I believe do not achieved this on the platha of gold but with sacrifices and commitment to peaceful resolution on any conflict instead of resulting to arm conflict. Russia, china, American and some of the African countries has to learn this secret from Finland and be committed to peace.
Finland is not only first in safest places but also in education.UAE follow strict rules and so crime rate is low there.People belonging to various countries live there in peace and harmony.
