FYI Jackpot devs, your COIN value in the source code is off.
It's impossible to move/transfer/send less than 100 satoshi. Ir rounds it off. We had a user today who had a ton of withdrawals held up because his account had insufficient funds, as he bought for example 10,000.00000008 JPC, but the system rounded it off to 10,000.000000 JPC.
He went to make a withdrawal, and the wallet complained.
We poked into the code, and the COIN value was set to 1000000 instead of 100000000 like EVERY OTHER coin.
Any value less than 100 satoshi is either rounded up to 100, or down to 0.
So, basically, JPC does not have 8 decimal places, it has 6.
Unlike every other coin out there.
Thats pretty broken.
We tried to fix it internally, but the code seems to be throughout the whole wallet, and were afraid if we changed it, it would break everything else.
Really should be fixed for a future update. Almost every single user on AllCrypt who ever bought fractional JPC has a wallet that is out of sync because the internal wallet is rounding off the last 2 decimal places.
This is interesting... I don't think this matters, I did a quick research, almost all the pow/pos coins that are clones/descendant of NovaCoin are defined this way. In fact, it is defined in NovaCoin and no-one ever changed it: https://github.com/CryptoManiac/novacoin/blob/master/src/util.hSo please check other pow/pos coins, they should all be the same. X13?? just add more algo, it's nothing, you can make X15 or X17, it's no different than X11. Keys are features that improve the fundamentals of the coins, such as PoS superblock, PoW/PoS separation, true random etc, and maybe anonymous features.

I'm still amazed by the ultra-fast transactions by this coin! What are the next plans for this coin? We have already a extremly good base, and I think we could make this coin even more valueable by continuing to implement new features. Just a short thought (since those things seem to be very hot right now):
1. implement anonymous transactions
2. maybe implement a mini PoS jackpot
3. find ways to promore this coin even more! possible solutions: Giveaway on Poloniex/FaceBook/Irc/whereever
4. send an email to crypto-news sites so they can take a look at JPC and notice it's great features
5. Be more active in this thread! It's always good to see that the DEV is around (even if it's just a short message a day), and also everyone else should keep this thread on top (no useless spam of course).

Agreed, would definitely help with awarness if the dev sent those site owners a quick message to add WinCoin! Also, please dev, finish the mac wallet! Thanks  I think the order is also important. Joining coinwarz and larger mining pools (like dedicated pool) can greatly increase the network hashrate. Also, maybe some type of mining promotion using the premine could also draw some attention. Next, get WIN onto poloniex with 2-3x the current network hashrate and let the troll box take over the rest. Once volume has increased, adding it to coinmarketcap could aid in taking the price upward as bigger fish see a decent trading volume. Greater trading volume could lead to an instant add to mintpal. Has there been any consideration in adding anonymous transactions? I think with a transparent use of the premine, x11 with independent PoW/PoS and 2+ years of mining, and anon transactoins, the sky would be the limit for WIN. I think poloniex or mintpal is what we need. But there are so many coins out there, and exchanges add them slowly, I don't know which criteria they use for selection. |

Why can dev not just change the coin and put it back in the picture. This was THE BIGGEST coin in January. Everybody was talking about Earthcoin, Earthcoin was the biggest coin, it would replace Dogecoin. and there are sooo many things that they can do. What did Panda do? Changing from mining to POS, price jumped by 1000%. If i was DEV of Earthcoin, then first of all i would buy a lot of coins and then change it to POS. his work will be rewarded with Huge profit,the coin will increase in value, and dilution just stopped. Why can we not try to get listed on mintpal,5 times more volume. crytpsy is like earthcoin, it is dying. The dev did too little and too late, while the coin world moving towards PoS and X11, many new coins coming out with new PoW/PoS scheme and true random and anonymity, like DRK, JPC, SUPER, MRO, XC, WIN, QCN etc, the EAC stuck in the old world of scrypt, and dev team can't even deliver it for months. So it is clear that EAC is dying... |

regarding 8/ (in brief wrong wrong wrong) at Jackpot attribution a solo miner doesn't have any chance at all to hit it (yes yes it is random but already picking any block is difficult, picking the one with the jackpot is close to impossible) and reality so far has proven that this comment was wrong it is always a pool which get it, and worst it is always the largest pool which gets the jackpot....
There was a week ago a discussion regarding a jackpot attribution through minting, did it go anywhere ? This would be truly random with no bias at all (and I wonder we want to reserve the jackpot to those who already get all the coins... )
The real force of jacpot coin (and I release that only recently) is the fast decrease of the POW reward and this might bring the price to the roof.
Do you understand what is the lottory? If a person purchases 1 lottory ticket, what will be the chance he win? What will be the chance of a millionaire buying thousands tickets? Do you know why many people form group to buy lottory tickets? Same reason why a pool wins jackpot. Simple probabilities. |

I have been mining JPC at miningpoolhub.com for the last day or so. I have been curious about hitting the jackpot, but then the realization hit me that I wasn't mining for a few minutes while I rendered the coin image I posted for the logo contested. The first jackpot was found 9 minutes after I made the post on page 54. I just checked the round info for Block 26550, and boom! there I am in green in the middle of the list of only 50 miners with a share. Nothing like a jackpot, even a few hundred coins, to hook someone.
I have mined bitcoin, litecoin, doge, aurora, smartcoin, digicoin, panda, riecoin, heavy, max, groestl, myriad, ultracoin, microcoin, yac, fedora, corgi, beatle, and who knows how many scrypt coins at middlepool, etc.
Jackpot coin is the most exciting coin I have mined. It seems the fastest for transactions, it is interesting for miners, and it has such great potential. I made a tidy sum of btc on max, but only because I sold it as I mined it. JPC is the first coin since bitcoin that I am holding for the future. I want to congratulate the developers for a truly novel, efficient and fun coin!
