Glad to hear it from one of the devs of Epochtalk Also, good thing about Figma is I can make a prototype as a mock up, with no coding needed. Epochtalk dev is a bit of an overstatement, I would say active contributor is more accurate Bitcointalk App is a recurring topic. In this instance I at least have an idea about the look and feel, a mock up. Needs some tlc but again... it's a mock up! Focus on the educational matters and after that curios to see the profile and thread views (with or without functional code)

@TryNinja I have a small request On page https://ninjastic.space/search can you make the "author" field set to exact matches or add a dropdown to input uid If the username has a space it thinks there are multiple keywords and may display hundreds of usernames Otherwise very nice

But I think it is possible for the admin to delete the individual feedback without actually removing the members from the DT network ( correct me if I am wrong).
Most likely theymos would be able to do it but somehow don't see that happening tbh. The reference points to this thread, so at least there's that I guess

I see your reasoning but tbh making all external links red is a bit too much. Maybe make only "spoofed" links red. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=xxx - green https://any-other-website.tld - normal
click here - red / normal (debatable) https://not-the-same-website.tld - red

Rizzrack is a new Sr. Member. One small erratum here, if I may: Rikafip becane Hero member, not Sr. Member I take this ocasion to congratulate him for reaching this rank and also all the other members which ranked up! I also have a small correction: It says Rizzrack, not Rikafip, became Sr Member, which is accurate (yay me!) Even though he ranked up quite recently seems he was not added in Coin-1's last update. Anywayz... congrats Rikafip on reaching hero status.

How cool would it be if the (new) forum would implement client side PM encryption by default?
Might be doable I guess. You would have to save a PGP pub key in your profile info somewhere (which could be publicly visible or not) and the system would use it do encrypt the message. For decryption you would need to paste/type the priv key yourself each time (not really a fan of saving priv keys in DBs. Privacy usually comes with less confort) You would need to trust that the priv key is not stored and only used to decrypt. So trust your PMs are not read or trust your priv keys are no stored or trust that... There's no such thing as a trustless automated system. Pluses and minuses I guess

What are the chances of someone trying with a bot to add units of evil to IP ranges on Tor or open VPN, making registration fee dependent? I've seen a lot of them and I'm not active that much, could they have an impact? Sounds implausible but still, there are situations like LoyceV faced. It might be one of the possibilities thb. The baby with beard faced the same issue https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5270970.0Call me paranoid but I believe the SEO attack / evil IP makes a bit more sense that just plain malware...

The only viable solution to this problem is better signature campaign moderation. If the campaign managers don't pay for mindless gibberish posts that sometimes even repeat the same answer given a couple of posts earlier, then the shitposters have no other option but to stop shitposting and start spending some brainpower.
That is also true, but OP was mostly referring to the increasing number of link spam like this one (and by increasing I mean many thousands): I assume it's one of two things: malware or a bitcointalk anti-SEO campaign attempt The former is pretty self explanatory but regarding the latter I still struggle to find out who would benefit the most from this. One thing's for sure, those accounts are nuked almost instantly and whatever their end game is it will not prevail

Talking strictly in regards to the UI... looks promising. Although I quite like the profile info card layout it still seems too much wasted space for the Dashboard view. Might work better on profile view... idk Also curios to see a thread mock-up Favorite boards is an interesting touch Good work so far !

OP, your main account does not currently show me any warning banners on your threads—not the red banner, and not the yellow newbie warning banner from a logged-out browser. I don’t know why... Have you checked recently?
Actually it does show the banner but the thread need to be in a board where feedback is visible, like this oneThe system is not perfect (yet) but is slowly evolving. At some point some currently trivial parameter will be tweaked so it makes all the difference in the world (or in this case, forum). This is how thing usually work imo I don’t necessarily agree or disagree with the points in OP here... I am simply trying to engage CH in a constructive discussion.
Who knows... might just work ! I guess deep inside every rational human being there's a troll... or was it the other way around... inside every troll there's a human... you get the point !

How do you know the last number?
Avatars were disabled due to some kind of exploit back around October 2013. They were re-enabled in 2015 on April 1 st (it wasn't a prank lol) and also the Full Member requirement was introduced. So regarding the UID range my educated guess would be 1 - 155000

So, yes, there is a difference between your mentioned newbie and another user from Collectibles board, especially inside a raffle topic. And the difference is huge: one wants to spam the forum, while the other is a polite person. This is the difference.
Don't compare apples with durian fruit. In the same board, same topic, same reply... almost no difference Although polite and well mannered... not a fan

instead of using a bot to determine what gets deleted - why not actually look at the posts? the ones being deleted should not have been deleted... after all, you are paid for what you delete, right? should take the time to make sure it is correct and not just some flawed bot logic.
He literally said the script finds possible low value posts and he then manually checks them. FWIW I deleted lots of "thankyou" from newbies and don't see rank or type of signature making any difference.

He has at least 1 deleted post and sometimes the algo gets mixed up (I assume). Something similar happened to me a while ago. There is a general recount at some point that will fix this.
