481  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 30, 2014, 11:19:53 PM
Got an email back from Minersource.

Should I get added to the refund queue and wait it out, or get MS store credit immediately to get potentially a Rocket Box in a few days?

What you guys think?
It's funny how when I requested to have some Dragons or SP-10s sent to me in lieu of the X-3, they said that they can't do hardware exchanges and instead gave me a reduced value refund.
See update.

I'd recommend everyone to submit a trust rating for blackarrow's website.
Install Web Of Trust if you don't already have it.
Go to blackarrowsoftware.com
Click the WOT icon. Rate it.
I gave them the lowest rating and chose the options "poor customer experience" and "scam"

It's a shame that this was just a one time thing. I would have loved to continue since this is the highest paying campaign. Looking forward to my payment in ~10 days. Thanks

I think regardless of what they refund you in - Bitcoin or USD it is OK as long as the value of the refund is the same as what you originally paid (minus a processing fee if they charge one).
And that's the problem. They choose the option where the value is less, regardless of the exchange rate.

Theres a clear different between pre-orders up thru april that took BTC and said BTC was forwarded BA, and further orders when we switched to Bitpay and Shopify and BTC was then cashed out to USD and sent to BA. Pretty simple.
Stop trying to justify your fraud. I lost $1200 because of you. My only regret is not requesting a refund sooner.

So let me get this straight.. He sent BTC, wants a refund, but minersource is choosing to refund the USD amount. But when I got my refund, minersource chose to refund the same amount of Bitcoin instead of the USD equivalent. And you think this is fair? So minersource benefits regardless of the price of Bitcoin, because they'll choose to refund the option that benefits them every time.
I guess I was right in my presumption that had the price of Bitcoin gone up from when I purchased (BTC =$1167 when I paid), then they'd try to get me to accept less Bitcoins to coincide with the USD value, versus them forcing me to accept the same amount of coins, even though the value has fallen by half since then.

Like I said, they're having their cake and eating it too.

@BITMAIN: your site's security score is an F!

THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP

Shoot them a PM and maybe their support an email.

Edit: Gah, testing my own and I'm an A-. Gotta get that fixed!
I've sent a PM. I had sent a support email a few months ago but it was never acted upon.

Only 2.5kg? That doesn't sound like that much for 'mass' shipping.

That is a scam site. See my post in the scam accusations thread.
They are offering the 1TH version for BTC1.5, which is much lower than anywhere legitimate.

I've been reading these things are being delivered, is this not the actual site?
Have they been delivered from that website? They link to a video of Jack from LightningAsics and I confirmed with Jack that that is not his site. That, plus the super cheap price and no acceptance of credit cards or PayPal (a reversible form of payment) leads me to be highly skeptical of that site at the very least.
Also, the social media links at the top simply go to the homepages of those sites.

I'd contact susan.wu1989@163.com
 Skype: susan.wu1989
And see if their name is Jin..
