481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] New Alt Coin wiki. on: May 12, 2013, 02:23:22 AM
A new altcoin wiki http://alt-coin.com is open and needs lots of edits. Please try to keep edits factual no matter what your opinion of a coin is. If you think a coin is a scam use facts to help other people come to the same conclusion.  Wink

CryptoCoinExplorer Now has a BTB Explorer!!

BitBar has joined the coin family on CCE.

btb.cryptocoinexplorer.com

Well, now it is easier to fully understand the extent of the scam:

1. 60 blocks excluding the genesis block were premined
2. Difficulty for the first 735 blocks was so low that it can't even be shown on the explorer
3. For the premine part, 59.644201 BTB were generated in less than 4 minutes
4. For the difficulty under 0.001 part, 600.324139 BTB were created in little more than 20 minutes

I though you dreamwatcher actualy care for the existing cryptocoins but now I see you are no better than most people around here. No respect for you anymore, bye!

Please stop trolling this thread. 3 million feathercoins were created on the first day, a good chunk of that in the first hour or so. And the difficulty of Feathercoin was just as low.

Thank you Dreamwatcher.

It was under 3 million and that was less then 1% of the total coins.

My normal script hash power LTC, FTC, CHN, is 1200 KHs.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBar New POW-POS scrypt CryptoCoin on: May 04, 2013, 10:08:11 AM
Is there any point in trying to solo this?
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Strance CHN coins? on: May 04, 2013, 04:55:50 AM
Im new to this but this seams strange to me. I was solo mining CHNcoin and just hit two blocks one payed 89.5 chn the next says .022 chn. Is this normal?

Anyone using http://pool.dillavouws.com/ I just tried to cash out and my CHN never showed up in my wallet.

The coin itself will have a block reward that increases with hashing power.
I can see this causing a problem with value. as more miners come on it could case a surplus in coins. Having more supply than demand could cause a problem with coin valuation. IMHO I think it would be a good idea to put a hard cap on the number of coins possible no matter how high the hash rate gets.

My name suggestion: ROOTcoin a play on the square root calculation you are using. You could have the graphic on the coin be a tree showing its roots.

My stratum pool is up.  We have been hitting blocks no problem.

Anyone know if this site is coming back? I left my miner pointed at it when I went to work and I hate wasting 12 hours hashing nothing.

I have about 1.2M hashrate.  Is it still good to solo or is it better to join a pool?
i am running pushpool for myself and with 1.2Mhash i am able to find two blocks in every hour, so if you have internet with low latency, solo should still working

Where did you find the  library for the damon? I was having a hard time getting it running in Linux.

i compiled daemon from sources:

git clone https://github.com/CHNCoin/CHNCoin.git
cd CHNCoin/src/
make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=
./chncoind Smiley

Now I get this error when trying to compile the source.

Code:
/CHNCoin/src# make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=
/bin/sh ../share/genbuild.sh obj/build.h
../share/genbuild.sh: line 33: obj/build.h: No such file or directory
../share/genbuild.sh: line 34: obj/build.h: No such file or directory
make: *** [obj/build.h] Error 1

Anyone know where you can get the libraries to run this in Linux?
Code:
./chncoind: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.49.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have been searching with no luck.

Could you point me to where I could get the libraries? I have been trying to get the damon going but have been having a problem finding them.

I use reaper since I've always had issues with cgminer

QT settings
Code:
rpcuser= ****
rpcpassword= ***
rpcallowip=127.0.0.*
rpcport=8844
daemon=1
server=1

reaper config

host 127.0.0.1
port 8844
user xxxxx
pass xxxxx

protocol litecoin

worksize 256
aggression 17
threads_per_gpu 1
sharethreads 32
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 22392
long_polling yes

Thanks man I am finding coins now that im using reaper instead of cgminer.
