For me, it’s about scale of preference. The difference between wants and needs is basic economics but unfortunately it is a concept that many fail to acknowledge in their lives. People will spend money on things they consider important, for some going on dates and expensive vacations may be their priority, and bitcoin investment may not be on their list of preference, this could be because they do not have knowledge of how bitcoin works.
482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if salaries were paid in BTC on: July 25, 2023, 10:18:47 PM
A friend of mine in our discussion today about Bitcoin was insisting that salaries and wages be paid in Bitcoin in some countries.
I was of the opinion that the government will not allow fiat to be replaced by Bitcoin .so what is your take on this will it be a positive move on the Bitcoin ecosystem or not
This level of adoption will be a big boost to the bitcoin ecosystem, I think it will be more easy in countries like El Salvador that accept bitcoin as legal tender You have to consider the risks (volatility) of bitcoin. It may be very appealing to you because you have a sound background in bitcoin but it will be very confusing for others who are crypto noobs. If you receive your total salary in bitcoin, how will you pay your bills since bitcoin isn’t yet a legal tender in most countries, you still would have to covert bitcoins to fiat.
483  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 25, 2023, 09:10:30 PM
A friend contacted me yesterday for some loans, which I declined (with some excuses) because I knew he really had no means of fast repayment. After some time, he called again and requested that I buy his refrigerator or his washing machine instead. Although I don't have a washing machine, but I had no interest in buying anything at that moment, so I contacted another of my friend who bought the refrigerator and the washing machine from that guy.

I have a rule when it comes to giving out loans, I do not give loans to people who do not have the means to pay me back. I simply say “NO” when these persons ask me for a loan. That saves the both of us the back and forth drama of collecting back the loan.

would you go for a loan or would you sell one of your properties to solve the problem? And which of them is a better option, to sell property or to take a loan?

This is a subjective question, and I think it depends on where you’re taking the loan from and the interest rates. I would rather take a loan using one of my properties as collateral, it’s a more appealing to me than selling properties to satisfy a need.

According to reports Bayern Munich have always been determined to get a deal for Harry Kane this summer despite Tottenham’s reluctance to accept their first and second bid. Bayern Munich are reportedly working on returning with a better bid, this time a considerable offer will be submitted as they hope to get a deal to be accepted before the window closes. Harry Kane is an incredible player and a move to Manchester United would have been one of the most talked about move of the transfer window, even more than Declan Rice but Manchester United decided to switch their focus somewhere else. Looking at the results from preseason I think Manchester United show good signs of a good season to come even if at they moment they are not yet to be rated as title contenders.

The last move I expect to see this transfer window is Mbappe accepting to go to Saudi Arabia. I think this is a wrong move at this time of his career, there is still so much Kylian Mbappe can achieve in Europe which he is yet to achieve and cannot achieve them playing in Saudi pro league, if he goes to Saudi Arabia, he can as well expect that he is not going to win a ballon d’or anytime soon. I really doubt he will be ready to trade all that for the money even when he is already earning much money at PSG. I strongly suggest against this move for a brighter future.
486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 25, 2023, 06:27:39 AM
I was in a discussion with some of my friends oveer who would be the winner of the Ballon D'or title and most of them where like Messi would win it over Halland and Mbappe, but what I don't understand is what they'll be rooting for mbappe to win the title with reasons that he had a good performance in the FIFA World Cup, scored about 8 goals including a hat trick in the world cup finals, scoring about 30 plus goals and winning the league with his team PSG, while some people said Messi is the goat and he's won the world cup, aslo scored a hat trick in the finals and won the league with PSG with a good number of goals, but what I don't understand is what most people would be writing off Halland a player that scored, 52 goals with 9 assists, has a champions league trophy, a premier league trophy, the golden Boot, European gold shoe, EPL player of the year, young player of the season award, to me he's the preferred man for the tilltle and chances of him winning are very high, if am to predict I'll, pick Halland over Messi  or Mbappe.
Looking at the records from both individual and club performances and looking into how much all the contestants achieved in the previous season, I think Erling Haaland achieved more even over Messi and Kylian Mbappe. That being said, I am rooting for Erling Haaland to win this year’s Ballon D’or trophy as a reward for his hardwork and accomplishments in his first premier season in English football, breaking and creating new records for others to follow.
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My easy way to teach your kids bitcoin. on: July 24, 2023, 08:37:53 PM
It’s your decision as a parent how to raise your children. I assume you’re a parent, how many times have you talked to your kids about money? There are other things parents can do to bond with their kids, especially at that early age. Bitcoin should be the least activity on your list, but that’s my opinion by the way. There are others who may believe that it is never too early to start teaching your kids about bitcoin and money.

Imbut these forum does not only educate you about crypto but also provides a platform were you can be working to make some money after getting to certain Level such as Signature Campaign.
Learn and Earn. That’s one of the things that makes the forum unique and different from other crypto forums and online communities. The information on bitcointalk is very helpful, every board was well planned out and each addresses the issues relating to the board. Signature campaigns may be not be here forever as Theymos has hinted in the past that signatures may be disabled. Even if signature campaigns are banned, I will still be active here because this is one of the few online communities that is on censored.

News in Italy: Juan Cuadrado is 35 years and he play another season in Serie A. Not for Juventus, but for Inter Milan. He moves without transfer fee and it will possibly be his last stop in Italy. He has played for Juventus, Florence, Udinese Calcio and Lecce, in total more than 360 Serie A games. He has played for Juventus since 2017, before that he was loaned to Chelsea, but was still under contract at Juve. Now for Inter Milan, lets see how often he plays.
I also expect this move to be the last move to a top European club. At 35 he is even lucky to get a deal to a big club like Inter Milan not every player gets so lucky to get this kind of deal. I wish him all the best in this new challenge and hope he makes history with the club. The fact that he is joining for free makes the deal considerable for the fact that he is into his late 30’s and so there is just little to be expected from him.

Gvardiol transfer is about to get official for Manchester City!

There is an agreement on transfer fee finally and Manchester City have already agreed personal terms with the player. This is going to be another wonderful transfer for them surely. Besides it is a great investment thinking of the future also. Because Gvardiol is one of the special defenders who is this much good at this age already.

He fascinated people with his performance in the World Cup as well which drew the attention of top teams more. There is a quite number of centre-backs in the squad maybe but it might not take Gvardiol much time to consolidate his place in the starting eleven as long as he plays his usual game.
According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement between Manchester City and Leipzig have been reached verbally but tension between both clubs have emerged in the final stages of negotiations and player didn’t complete medicals. Reports also say that the deal is still on and both clubs will continue with negotiations to reach a final agreement.

Barcelona spent too much in the past and that's why they have many financial issues in their teams which is the reason for them to sell some players. But recently they tried to spend less money and don't hire expensive players, that's why they could hire Messi for the next season.
But I think they will try even harder to buy Bernardo Silva from Manchester City if they really want to make it happen.

Barcelona are struggling right now, it amazes me how they manage to sign these players coming in but I commend their strategies because they are proving productive as they have been managing to convince good players to join the club even with the financial restraints. Getting Bernardo Silva will be a tough because Manchester City will not be agreeing to a small amount, it is more difficult because Manchester City is not a club that’s focused on making money from player sales.

than spending money trying to enroll on a cyber security course.
Cybersecurity should be a general concern, I think everyone (bitcoin enthusiasts or not) should be conscious of how they use the internet and how to protect their data. Bitcoiners should be very proactive when it comes to learning and practicing basic cybersecurity the most because bitcoin is a digital asset and we use devices (pcs, mobile phones) to access our bitcoins, these devices are vulnerable to hacks and viruses. The information can be gathered online, one can learn from YouTube videos and other free sources how to protect their data and devices.

I think Teh Tag should not sell Fred and Mc Tominary is not advisable, there is nothing wrong of having good bench, and options in the midfield to encourage competition in the midfield. Mc Tominay has been key player to the squad, and to his National team. see his tag price surprised me. or its because his not an England player? to me his value more than that. Manchester united can sell Fred but not Mc, there are so many competitions this season, the power of any team lies on the quality of our bench.

At the end of the season when the club released the list of potential outgoings, Mc Tominay made the list and maybe Fred did too although I was surprised to see both players been mentioned because they were crucial for the team in the final stages of the season. If Ten Hag decides to sell both players then I am certain plans are in place regarding replacements.

There are reports that Aubameyang is poised to sign a three-year deal with Olympique Marseille. I feel that despite his poor spell in Chelsea last season, his reputation still remains strong and he has been subject of interest from a number of major European clubs. Also he has been among the Premier League players wanted by clubs in Saudi Arabia. It’s surprising that he isn’t attracted by the offers of these Saudi Arabian clubs. Seems he wants to play UCL football and Marseille can offer that at the moment.

Aubameyang has a strong reputation because despite him poor performances and lack of games for Chelsea, Barcelona still considered bringing him back to the club, now Olympique Marseille are also keen on bringing the striker to France. Aubameyang has really done well for himself in the past years to earn such reputation. I would say his name has not crossed the minds of Saudi clubs yet or the big clubs in the league all have good players in that position in their squads.

Bernardo Silva has so far not received any news from Manchester City about a contract extension, which has led to rumors of Bernardo Silva leaving the club. Since PSG have already lost some players, PSG will have a chance to sign this Man City player. PSG may not have much money ready for Bernardo Silva. Bernardo Silva won't join PSG if he doesn't get a good money offer from PSG.

According to your information Al Hilal can make big offer to Bernardo Silva to join Saudi League but I think Bernardo Silva will not go to Saudi League at the moment. If Barcelona are interested in signing Bernardo Silva, he may be able to sign Barcelona's interest. If he leaves Manchester City and joins Barcelona, his football career should not be bad for him.
Probably Manchester City are still evaluating their options and have not arrived at a conclusion whether or not they need to sell Bernardo Silva or consider him still an important player for them in the coming season else they would be making plans already to get suitable replacement for him. Barcelona and PSG are prepared to battle for who will get his signature this summer. It is up to Manchester City to decide if they will sell.

Maguire adapted perfectly to the style of play in England and his previous club Leicester city, where he was praised as a hero and had a fantastic gameplay in the 2017/2017 season that prompted the then manchester united coach Ole Gunner Solskjaer to buy him for a record fee of £80m as his third signing, and was assigned the role of the club captain shortly after his arrival.
But since then he's refused to leave up to standard and adapt well to the style of play of the team, for the past years, making him to loose his place in the starting 11 in the last concluded season, I feel pity for him cause he's been ridiculed by most fans and has been the one of the most dragged players on social media due to his numerous errors and incompetence, therefore it's no surprise to me that the current coach Eric ten Hag is wanting to strip him of the role of the captain.
And hand it over to his preferred successor the Portuguese midfielder and playmaker Bruno Fernandes who has proved himself worthy of wearing the armband in the previous season and seasons before. Well due to the personal  training session he's had recently with the Chelsea fc legend Ricardo Calvarho this summer, only time will tell if he'll be able to adapt to Erik Ten Hags style of play this season and take back his position in the starting 11 eleven.
The deed has already been done. Erik Ten Hag has already made the decision to appoint a new captain for the coming season since Harry Maguire has not been living up to expectations and standards befitting as the captain. From one aspect I think it is not fair to pass such judgement and on another view I think it is for the betterment of the squad as he is suppose to lead by example.

After failing to secure the league title last season as new Rivals Manchester City outplayed them and finished top of the table last season, the club has reacted well by investing hugely to boost the squad this summer. Arsenal now have another chance to compete for the league and every silverware next season. As Kai Harvertz has said that he is looking forward to winning a trophy with Arsenal next season.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 19, 2023, 02:20:27 PM
According to journalist Achraf Ben Ayad, FC Barcelona youngster Julian Araujo is ‘seriously considering’ the offer to join newly-promoted club UD Las Palmas on loan this summer.

Reports last week suggested that Las Palmas were gunning to sign the 21-year-old on loan for the upcoming campaign and it was indicated that a deal might be close to completion.

However, follow-up reports then claimed that it was not the case and that Araujo was keen on proving himself to Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez during the pre-season and staying at the club.

Araujo was facing difficulty in competing with another playe right back in barcelona. He is now potentially leaving from barcelona as a loan to the las palmas. I think that is even better for him consider he doesn't wanna leave from the club. He is willing to stay in the barcelona.
Loaning him has become the right option by barcelona caused by the club has so many right back at this moment. There must be some people to be loaned to another club. Araujo may not only become a player that will be sending out to another club.
Xavi has been committing in giving more time for the young players to play. It sounds good but it seemed to me if what xavi said will be far from the reality. The fact that if barcelona will always need to use experienced player.
Im feeling doubt if xavi will able to divide the time proportionally for young players of barcelona. Im thinking about barcelona must have done rotations in any matches.

I have observed that both wing back positions are crucial positions that if neglected can cause serious problems for a team. Araujo’s performance has dropped and has prompted Xavi to employ the services of a better wing back for his team in the coming season. Araujo can stay and become a good substitute in that position but Xavi prefers sending him on loan for more improvement and playing time.

~Snip
Good players will definitely be missed by their erstwhile club, but if the team is made up of quality players, their absence will not be felt that much or for a long period of time. Liverpool didn't have a bad season because of Sadio Mane's exit, they had a terrible season because most of their players were in horrendous form and the manager wasn't able to bring the best out of them. I think clubs should always allow their players leave if they say they want to, a football club should not be built around a few players but the entire team.
You are right, Liverpool are in a bad form not because of Mane leaving, but most of their players are not at their best. After all, several important Liverpool players also suffered injuries which ultimately affected the team's performance, and those are some of the reasons why they didn't perform well last season. The adaptation of some of their new players has not gone smoothly, it has also made Liverpool difficult throughout last season.

I believe Liverpool will get a better performance next season because they will only focus on the Premier League. Klopp will try his best to build on the quality of his team that fell last season, so that next season's Premier League competition will be even hotter.
I love Sadio Mane and I believe he left Liverpool prematurely, the squad wasn’t ready for his departure and they felt it greatly that season. It pained me to see Mane leave the club when Liverpool had the capacity to meet his demands. Liverpool are struggling last season because their top players are aged and fatigued and couldn’t put up a performance that matches that of top teams in the premier league, their performances didn’t come anywhere close to what they deserved or expected.

Saturday's gossip:

Paris St-Germain are attempting to hijack Bayern's bid for Tottenham's England striker Harry Kane, 29. Kane seemed certain to go to Bayern, but now all options are open. Bayern certainly cannot compete financially with PSG. Will Kane be a replacement for Mbappe or do PSG owners want to create a new fantastic attacking tandem for the new season, Mbappe and Kane?
Chelsea are looking at a making up a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, with PSG also interested in the 23-year-old Serbia international. It seems that after the departure of Messi and the possible departures of Mbappe and Neymar, the owners of PSG want to find quality replacements for them and spoil the plans of Bayern and Chelsea.
Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane's representatives have met with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr to discuss a move for the 31-year-old Senegal international. Bayern had big plans with Mane, but now they want to get rid of him as soon as possible. Will he be able to replace Mane with Kane?
PSG have targeted Napoli's Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, 24, not to replace Kylian Mbappe but to help convince the France forward, also 24, to sign a new contract. An interesting and somewhat desperate strategy, will it work?

https://www.bbc.com/sport/66197235
This is a huge problem for Bayern Munich if it turns turn out to be true that PSG are joining the race for Harry Kane. Even Tottenham will be worried that their chances of convincing the player to extend his contract will be slim therefore I expect Bayern Munich to rush things and move faster and get a deal done before PSG with the financial power win him over by deciding to pay the money Spurs are demanding for.

West Ham are getting frustrated due to the delay in Declan Rice's transfer to Arsenal. Despite reaching an agreement eight days ago, the necessary documents have not been signed yet. This has left West Ham feeling impatient and wondering what could be causing this delay in completing the documents. Is there any possibilities of Arsenal walking away from the deal, somehow they might have realized they are overpaying for a player who only has one year left on his contract.
In situations like these, it would be good to stay patient and keep an eye on any updates regarding the transfer, while I am also growing frustrated everyday.
I’m also getting frustrated with the delay in announcing the signing if both Declan Rice and Jurien Timber from West ham and Ajax respectively, it was announced a week ago that both transfers have reached agreement I wonder why the announcement is still stalling the deal ought to be announced by now but Fabrizio has gone shead to assure arsenal supporters that both deals are completed but on the club’s hand to decude when to announce both deals.
