481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing investment on Gambling sites on: July 10, 2016, 01:29:59 PM

Was planing to invest on a gambling site since they said its a gauranteed profit since the house can't lose but I'm still skeptical about it, i don't have much BTC so I have to make sure whether its going to be profitable for me.  What possibilities could happen to the gambling site i wanted to invest into and how am i going to lose my investment in such a manner?

Which sites are saying that it's a guaranteed profit?

DON'T LISTEN TO THEM.

Will you end up making a profit in the long term?  More than likely (you have math on your side).... but there is always risk and no one can predict the future.

In my personal opinion (full disclosure, I'm one of the owners of Moneypot), if your risk tolerance is strong and you can afford to wait out the long run, then I truly believe gaming bankrolls are one of the best returns you can put your Bitcoin into.  However, if your risk tolerance is low, I'd recommend something else.

Our entire promotional strategy/schedule is being evaluated. Again, we don't have a definitive timeline. But we are hoping that Krillrolls will return as a regular benefit for the players.

I have over 100,000 krill and I'd gladly forfeit all krillrolls and extra benefits if you guys spent the money on the glitches in the software instead.

Please consider doing so.

A notice to any potential buyers.

Any Moneypot app that is an almost duplicate version of a pre-existing site without the permission of the original authors will NOT have their app domain verified, will not be featured on the all apps page, and can face removal and possible banishment from the site.

I have spoken to the Bit-Exo team and no such permission was granted here.  Moneypot stands firmly behind the original authors of uniquely created Moneypot apps and will do its part to protect and assist them when possible.

If someone takes the initiative for all of this, would you guys all play?

If you look at the stats on https://dicesites.com/ you will see that https://betking.io has more profit than MoneyPot, Satoshi Dice and Bitdice combined!

Not only that but we almost have more wagered than all three of them combined!

We have the biggest bankroll, offer the largest max bet in the industry and have been around since 2013.

We recently just reduced the minimum investment amount to 0.01 too.

Yes, this is true.

BetKing is one of the oldest sites out there and seems to be a trusted site to invest in.

Moneypot's stats are for the last 7 and a half months.  It will be interesting to see where they're at in 3 years time.
486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I invest in bitcoin casinos? on: July 09, 2016, 12:34:01 PM
so acoinllc owns it. how much have you earned from moneypot every month if you have invested to them?
if they only require 0.01 btc like bitvest, i may also try them just to compare both and may invest more later.

Just for clarity, Acoin is one of the owners.  There are others and we use a democratic process that involves the votes of multiple majority to pass any decision on.

Speaking personally, I believe a lot of the feedback swapped between Acoin and the other members are due to personal conflicts and that Moneypot should be viewed entirely separate from these actions and comments as they are not related.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, I will be happy to answer them all in public or in private.

Thanks.

We make a constant effort to respond to all support e-mails and tickets.  It might be slightly delayed for the next day or two as we are receiving several spam submissions.

When will mp add rbies?

It is being worked on as fast as possible.

It will be here sooner than later.  Smiley

Quality work is being done so that it works properly and doesn't cause any problems.

Although, we'd love to have it as soon as possible, it is in our best interest to make sure that it's been properly tested and configured.

Only accepting positive reviews and rejecting negative reviews isn't really an honest practice

The terms are pretty interesting.

Does this mean you're legally operating out of Canada?

Gl with everything btw.

I'll take it.

My only requirement is that a reputable escrow is used and that I'm protected from counterfeits.

@Dajackal

Acoin having a strong attitude and opinion is not correlated to the trust that Moneypot holds.

He is only one member and we like to be as transparent as possible.

But like you know people still see him going crazy and are left thinking if this guy works for moneypot then......
You know your partner is a little kookoo right?

I don't wish to get myself involved in whatever personal quarrel you guys may have (as far as I know, he's stopped responding to anyone involved in LIR)

All I ask is that you please leave Moneypot out of it.  Moneypot has no ill will against you or anyone from let it ride, but we don't appreciate constantly getting attacked as a result of this.

Investing in Bitcoin casino is like gambling, But investing is better than gambling because house always win. Just remember when investing in casino that it is normal that you lose in a certain period of time. But do not divest when you see you are losing because in the long run, house always win and if that happens your investment will grow.

I think this is good advice.

I believe that the best way to invest is to deposit and forget about it for a specific period of time (of course still checking to make sure the site is still active and legitimate though).

Less stress and you should have enough time to experience a larger sample of volume which should (statistically) put you ahead.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How to buy Tether USD? on: July 06, 2016, 12:58:17 AM
You can buy it at some exchanges like poloniex. It is called USDT on that site. You may need to fund your account with bitcoins and then convert.

that's not what i want to know. what i do want to know is can you withdraw usdt and turn it into dollars? as far as i can tell you can't.

Tethers can be securely stored, sent and received across the blockchain and are redeemable for cash (the underlying asset) pursuant to Tether Limited’s terms of service.

-- From their FAQ.

I haven't filled in the AML/KYC information to test it out, so I'm not sure, but I believe you can.
497  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinmillions.com New Multi-Crypto gambling site: Dice, Poker, Shell, Invest! on: July 06, 2016, 12:48:34 AM
Gee one casino offers investments then they all do. Oh well it's obly a good thing I prefer to diversify my investments. I'll certainly take this offer into consideration. Now to just plot my financial plan out and see what goes to which casinos investment.

I have no ties to Coinmillions (in fact they're somewhat of a competitor), but I believe they've accepted investments for a while.

I looked into the project and it seems that instead of allocating the funds towards a house bankroll, the original owners decided to put the money into development instead.

I also agree with you that it's probably a good plan to diversify a bit.
498  Economy / Gambling / Re: Interpoker site already accepts Bitcoin on: July 05, 2016, 10:05:16 PM
Bodog/?Bovada is pretty big. They're #3 on Pokerscout.com. I don't play there, but don't they accept bitcoin? I remember seeing a thread here saying they do.

Bovada accepts bitcoin, and yes they have thread about it here. But unfortunately I can`t play there, cause they still don`t accept all countries.

This interpoker.eu site looks nice, but this losing licence is a bit thing to worry about. I would like to hear some opinions also about it before I try that site. I already have sites where I like to play so I don`t wish to risk my money on site without licence and without any feed back from some trusted members. I will wait a bit more before I do anything, I`m not so experienced in this matters, I like to play on sites that have good reputation and without worries for my money.

"I like to play on sites that have good reputation and without worries for my money."

Yeah this part exactly.

I'm still out 10BTC (mind you it was when it was lower) from WinPoker.com (they had a forbes article http://www.forbes.com/sites/jonmatonis/2013/03/13/winpoker-becomes-first-major-gambling-operator-to-adopt-bitcoin/#557158b248d1) and great reviews then just bailed out of nowhere.

Bodog is a company I don't see disappearing but their customer service and bitcoin deposits are horrendous (36 hours my deposit took)

https://wallet.tether.to

I think in your case, you want to send your Bitcoin here and then convert to USDT.
