481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 05, 2019, 05:37:58 PM

I will bet there
Zenit vs Leipzig 2.5 goals
Lyon vs Benfica 3.5 goals (maybe this is too risky)
But I don't mind, I believe in Lyon for the night of this match. My luck is near here.  Wink Wink
is the 2.5 and 3.5 goals over or under? I'm getting a bit confused with your prediction. Can you clear my doubts ??
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 05, 2019, 05:02:33 PM
Liverpool vs Genk, over 2.5 goals and Liverpool to win
Not sure about the other matches but I think you will get this one. I just checked the odds and on draw win draw market the odd for Liverpool is 1/11 LOL

Anyway, my ideal pick will be:
Liverpool to win first half
Barcelona to win first half
Chelsea to win or draw.
Odd 2.81 which is very decent in my opinion.

I think the Barcelona prediction looks very risky considering their current form. I see the first half being a draw. I will go in for first half draw for the barcelona game.
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would anyone be interested in this ( Sports betting ) on: November 05, 2019, 04:48:07 PM
Ahh, so its not a totally original idea but im glad to hear that the previous site was well liked, my only concern is would it be popular enough.

I suppose a simple interface with the price per game would work.

For the success of your idea, it all depends on how you are gonna brand your services and making your idea very simple for any level of people in the crypto space in terms of understanding. But my question is, do you have the needed funds to start this sports betting platform? and how long have you planned this ?  Because without proper planning, you can really have a successful business portfolio.

See you there!

I'm not trying to be the devil's advocate here but my basic concern is very simple, there is nothing like free money in this world we find ourselves living in. In as much that this might have worked for you does not really gurantee that it will also work for the other person.  Personally, I'm not falling for this shady scam.  It will be better you keep such shady things to yourself..
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest my $1.5K? on: November 03, 2019, 08:48:07 PM
i have got around $1500 to invest in coins which coins do you guys suggest to invest in for quick money ? a year ago I have invested in STRAT and Sia and I lost big amounts and regret investing in those coins.

I'm thinking of investing $1k into BTC as its low risk but I would like to risk the the other $500 with a coin that I can make quick money with it

With investing in the crypto space, knowledge about the crypto market is the key essential for any kinda investors who are thinking of investing in any crypto coin. I will advise that you should first try to understand the crypto market before investing in any crypto coin.  This will help you maximize your margin of profit and minimize your risk of losing your investment capital.
486  Other / Archival / Re: Selling ownership of crypto exchange website - $75 in BTC negotiable on: November 03, 2019, 06:35:07 PM
Damn your crypto exchange website must've sucked so hard for it to be only worth a measly $75. Was it made through Wix? Squarespace?

Hahahahahahaha.... wix ?? really!!! How can a cryptocurrency exchange platform be built on wix?  I think he didn't plan very well before setting up the exchange platform or he is just fed up of the whole  crypto space...
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Moving on to Other Things on: November 03, 2019, 06:28:10 PM
What do you think these other things could be?

I generally assume he was moving on to battle an illness, and that he lost the battle and died.

Well that could also mean so many things considering the context  of his message. It could also mean that he is developing a system to help with the adoption of bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general or on a vacation somewhere enjoying the bitcoins he has in his wallets.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in High School Syllabus on: November 03, 2019, 06:09:20 PM

What's your opinion about this? Should cryptocurrency as a whole and blockchain be in schools curriculum?

Personally, I think is a good idea to add cryptocurrency and blockchain technology to schools curriculum.  This will help bring creative ideas as to how to make cryptocurrency and blockchain technology more acceptable and easy to use. Also, people will learn to appreciate the benefits and the privileges cryptocurrency and blockchain technology present to the entire world. High school students are the future of every country in terms of human resources. This integration will easily help in mass adoption of cryptocurrency and the use of blockchain technology in every aspect of our entire lives....
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: November 02, 2019, 02:40:51 PM
Come to think of it, I don't really think bitcoin is the future. Blockchain technology is rather the future and cryptocurrency is an aspect of the future but not the main future of the financial ecosystem.  Blockchain technology is the future of the financial ecosystem since it has introduced decentralization to the financial space. Cryptocurrency on the other hand is the element needed for a decentralized financial ecosystem. Bitcoin is just an element of the future but not the future...
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any apps on Android for trading cryptocurrency? on: November 02, 2019, 02:33:44 PM
I can see a lot of applications for trading cyrpto-currency on Apple devices. I don’t have any apple devices with me currently, so are any trading platforms that work on Android on the Google Playstore?

There are a lot of applications on google playstore that you use them for your trading cryptocurrency.  A lot of the exchange platforms have their Apps that operate similarly like their exchange platform.  A good example is Bitrue and  Coinall. These platforms have their Apps with all the features seem on their main exchange platform. You can try these Apps.
491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: See a bitcoin/crypto scam site? Don't just ignore it. Report it. on: November 02, 2019, 02:15:53 PM
Personally,  i don't really think much is done when scam sites or projects are been reported. This forum for example, there have been a lot of scam projects launched here and people have made reports about them but there hasn't been anything done to prevent the promotion of scam projects here.  How do you expect people to report scam sites and projects when nothing is been done to prevent people from launching scam projects here ?
492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 17,800,000 BTC already mined on: November 02, 2019, 02:00:50 PM
Anyone noticed that we have breached 17,800,000 BTC already? Which means that 85% of all BTC have been mined. And in the next 10+ years we can all assumed that 'almost' all bitcoin is mined already. Have you accumulated at least 1 BTC in your wallet?

Current bitcoin mined:  17,851,062 BTC

At the moment miners are rewarded with 12.5BTC per block mined. In 2020 it will reduce to 6.25BTC per block mined. There is a block reward halving every 4 years so if you do the maths the very last bitcoin will be mined in approx, the year 2140.

In as much that the block reward is halved every 4 years, did you consider the rate at which blocks are confirmed by miners?  This determines the number of bitcoin being mined within a specific moment in time. If the  frequency at which miners solve a block transaction increases, the rate at which block reward are given to miners will also increase.  This will make your calculation wrong regarding when the last bitcoin will be mined.  As years go by, there are new advancement entering the crypto space with regards to making bitcoin transactions faster. This advancement might affect the time range for the last Bitcoin to mined..
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't want Bitcoin, You don't want Future :-\ on: November 02, 2019, 01:49:39 PM
Bitcoin is not exactly the future of the world's financial services but blockchain technology is the future of how businesses will transactions in the financial ecosystem. Bitcoin is just a piece or option of blockchain technology which is known as cryptocurrency, a digital form of currency. Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are the future of the financial ecosystem but not bitcoin. People need to understand this first before concluding that bitcoin is the future of money...
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO exchanges not required KYC on: November 01, 2019, 12:28:58 PM
I like the cryptocurrency due to the privacy, i do not like to send my IDs to anyone even if it is popular and trusted websites, requesting KYC to participate in IEO is against privacy why i have to send my ID to participate in IEO!!
Most of exchanges launched their IEO platform required KYC.
Is there any exchanges run IEO and do not required KYC.

You should understand that investing in any project is an option not an obligation. If you hate the idea of IEO platforms asking you for your personal details, why worry yourself to invest in such projects? In this crypto ecosystem, you have the option to do or not do anything that you feel is not right to you.  If you are interested in IEOs that do not require KYC, spend time to look for them yourself. There are a lot of IEO projects that do not require KYC to participate in...
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: November 01, 2019, 12:21:41 PM
Aside from monetary incentives in crypto, I rarely come across discussions pertaining to why the average enthusiast in crypto is involved with crypto. While the answer may be pretty straightforward, there are some outliers.

Crypto means much more than just monetary incentives, it's essentially a technical revolution that has involved the masses, something you and I can be apart of. Ultimately, that's probably one of my greatest interests for blockchain and crypto. Another big intrigue for me is the evolution of blockchain tech in itself. I've been around for quite sometime and have witnessed the evolution of cryptos, businesses, behaviors and attitudes.

These 2 factors, along with several others, are the reasons I continue to be involved on a community and business level with crypto. It's become a hobby, passion and business for me.

Personally, my main reason for my involvement with crypto is the idea of eliminating all third parties involved in making financial transactions and providing a decentralized ecosystem where people have some level of financial freedom. The idea of sending or receiving funds from any part of the world without any restriction caught my attention. I don't really see crypto as a monetary incentive but the future of money.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Believes Dogecoin “Will Go To The Moon” on: November 01, 2019, 12:06:47 PM
My question is: how can a shitty coin with no real use and purpose get so many traction? Speculation is a strange fact in crypto

I don't really think you understand the word shit coin. Dogecoin is no way classified as a shit coin. A coin with a market cap of $318,084,112 and a market volume in 24 hours of $73,957,254  can't be called a shitty coin. If you don't understand the word shit coin, let someone or an expert explain it to you. And you should understand that the crypto space is full of speculations, and there is nothing strange about it in the crypto ecosystem.
497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: majority of blockchain project has lost focus on: November 01, 2019, 11:08:49 AM
you are wrong about multiple things here.
- the fact that a lot of shitcoins exist and a lot of projects are scamming people has nothing to do with the technology. it is like saying the technology that created vehicles had a motive to kill people because car accidents are common!

- investors are not losing confident. investors never touched altcoins in firsts place, the huge volumes you saw in 2017 was from "gamblers" not investors. and since gamblers always lose they eventually go away.

First and foremost, I don't think you understood what the post meant. Its either you are new in the crypto space or you haven't done any research about projects in the crypto ecosystem. The rate at which people use to invest in new projects has reduce.  Secondly, all gamblers are investors. As an investor,  you put your capital into something with the aim of either making a double or triple of your invested capital. Gambler also bet their money on something with a chance of making a double or triple of his/her money. In this way, we can gamblers are investors in their own way.  I think you should first try to understand what investment is before making an accusation.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The use of Bitcoin on: October 31, 2019, 01:24:00 PM

If government legalized and use bitcoin like fiat currency,to what extent it can be used? I just thinking that it was very difficult if ever it will happen someday especially for the young children's. Unlike in fiat currency even a two years old kid can buy in a store using it but if bitcoin,i don't think so ,even those old people who do not know how to use a cellphone, computer and other gadgets. It will be difficult for them.I'm just curious guys and want to know your opinion.

So far as people can easily use PayPal and credit cards, the use of bitcoin by these group of people will not be a big deal. Most bitcoin wallets have the option where you can scan the wallet of others and transactions will be made. Once Bitcoin is fully accepted, this will not really be a problem. There will be much evolution of the bitcoin space which will make it more user-friendly ones Bitcoin is recognized worldwide as a digital currency for the transaction of goods and services.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is there a way to have crypto news of each country ? on: October 31, 2019, 01:12:41 PM
I don't think there is any specific news about cryptocurrency in countries apart from news about the market price of cryptocurrencies and the rate at which their prices fluctuate.
In my country, for example, there is no news related cryptocurrency about any media platforms. So the only source of news is the platforms that create content for price fluctuation and market adoption by other countries.
Not every country has news media interested in creating content related to cryptocurrency and the crypto ecosystem.
There is no way to have crypto news about every country. Just stick with the news you have about your country.
500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Cryptocurrency change financial institutions completely? on: October 31, 2019, 12:33:42 PM
Well I went to a NEO coin Developer Convention today and based off everything they were discussing it sounds like Europe, Asia, S. America and N. America are getting ready to completely get rid of cash and unite the entire global economy. Those of you blockchain developers what are your thoughts on this?

First and foremost, it will be nearly impossible to get rid of cash completely. Cryptocurrency has a good potential of improving the entire global economy but for the adoption of it might take a very long time for the entire world to accept the use of it. The online nature of cryptocurrency makes mass adoption very slow. Personally, I think crypto developers should find a way they can integrate both cryptocurrency and cash together to further enhance the massive use of cryptocurrency in the financial ecosystem. With that, there can be some possibilities of getting rid of cash  completely.
